Just off of Rt 6, right next to the Pine Creek Trail and right near the Colton Point Entrance. The cabin was cute, cozy, and had everything you could want in a mountain getaway. We especially enjoyed the porch swing. We spent a day hiking, and a second day we escaped to Keuka Lake wine country just over the NY border. Wellsboro has some nice restaurants, and it was also nice being able to cook and eat in for breakfast and dinner. We would definitely choose this cabin again!"

Experience Wellsboro and the The Pine Creek gorge in one of the very few cabins located in the heart of the PA Grand Canyon.

This rustic getaway is located in the canyon overlooking Owassee rapids with close access to the bike trail.

Sit on the porch or the deck that overlooks the creek and watch the kayakers paddle the rapids below and the bald eagle sour through the canyon.

The space
This one of a kind cabin is located through the locked gate at the end of the dead end Owassee Road in the middle of the PA Grand Canyon!

The cabin is rustic. It is perfect for a couple or family that love the outdoors and don’t mind the rustic feel of a century old cabin.

While efforts are taken to keep the cabin “critter free” it should be noted that i cannot guarantee that guests see a bug, spider or mouse that has found its way into the cabin! Additionally, you will find that efforts are made to keep the cabin as clean as possible, but there will be dusty surfaces but the stone chimney will always have some level of dust and morter exposed.

The cabin is heated by a central wood stove, so guests should be aware that it may be a bit chilly upon arrival if the outside temperature is cold. Firewood for heating is provided.

The cabin is located at the end of a “no winter maintenance” state road that has many potholes. The road can be navigated carefully with a 2-wheel drive car, but could bottom out if your car is very low. A truck, SUV or higher sitting car (Subaru) would be better suited for this road, especially in the rain/snow.

There are 2 parking spaces available. Host will meet guests to issue keys for gate and cabin.

Other things to note
The cabin has a small yard with a steep incline going 300 feet down to Pine Creek. Small children need to be monitored at all times.

Please Note:

1. Pet Policy: **This property is NOT pet friendly. Please note, if we find evidence of an unauthorized pet in the home, we will ask for it to be removed immediately and guests will be charged a $400 non-refundable fine. This is also grounds for immediate removal of the guests from the home.

2. No Smoking: If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay $200.00 / per day.

3. Note, we do have a security camera at the home and it is recording 24/7, 365 days a year. It is facing the exterior of the home. There are no cameras inside the home.

4. Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time.

5. Upon booking, each guest will receive a guest rental agreement. This must be signed before the House Manual (which includes access instructions for the property) is sent.

6. We provide complimentary 24/7 communication to ensure that your stay exceeds your expectations! Please feel free to reach out to us day or night and we will provide you with a swift response!

7. There are NO LONG CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS! We want for you to be able to fully enjoy every minute of your stay at the cabin!

You will have exclusive access to the entire cabin, cowboy cabin, and outdoor space surrounding the cabin during your stay!

Guests must stay within 100 feet of the property as it is surrounded by private property that is open to hunters from September-December. Please do not go on the surrounding trails.
