This detached cottage, in my backyard, is located in the heart of Zaandam, 3 minutes' walk from the Dam, 4 minutes from the cozy shopping street and 9 minutes from the Station. From the Zaans Huisje, you can do all kinds of activities. For example, you can reach Amsterdam Central Station in 14 minutes by train and in 5 minutes towards Zaanse Schans. Please note that there is paid parking at the door. The cottage is rented for 1 person, and an extra bedroom is available for an additional fee.
The space
The Zaanshuisje in my backyard, is about 25 square meters, with a separate shower and toilet. Microwave, fridge and kettle, iron iron, bed sheets and towels are provided. Stove top is not provided.
It is not allowed to smoke in the house, but it is allowed on the terrace. Wifi is not very strong in the cottage, you have to do that in the garden. On the upper floor is an extra bedroom, only accessible if booked for a 2nd person.

Entire lower floor is available for 1 person, entire cottage with outside a terrace in the garden.
Other things to note
It is not allowed to smoke in the house, on the terrace. Please note there is WiFi, but it does better in the garden.

Our loft (built in 1695) is a special place that offers the best of both worlds. Amsterdam Centraal can be reached in less than 15 minutes by train, but you can also discover the history of the Zaanstreek. Within walking distance are nice cafes and restaurants, allowing you to discover the local flavors and culture. The famous Zaanse Schans is only 10 minutes away. Our loft offers privacy and is located in a peaceful neighborhood where you can escape the hustle and bustle.
The space
Our monumental house was built in 1695. The old barn, where the loft is housed, was sustainably built in the old style at the end of the last century. This is divided over two floors and can be reached via its own entrance. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen with combi oven, induction cooktop and dishwasher. The cozy living room can be reached via a staircase. The sleeping area is located in the loft. The accommodation has energy label A.
Guest access
The accommodation is accessible via a private entrance using a lockbox. The loft is located on the 2nd floor and has a private roof terrace. On the ground floor, the fully equipped kitchen is part of the loft.
Other things to note
The loft is an independent residential unit, with its own entrance. No smoking is allowed in the room. This space is less suitable for the disabled because of the steep stairs to the living room and the stairs to the sleeping loft. For small children, this accommodation is not suitable because of the open stairs from the living room downstairs.
