- "Our stay at Podere Consani was ideal. The home is well appointed and we cooked many meals and wanted for not. We were invited to the fresh herbs from the garden and enjoyed the home grown olive oil provided in a lovely welcome basket. Our host was absolutely incredible and available for any inquiries. Also, she had provided some provisions that we did not anticipate we would be needing (extra toilet paper, and laundry detergent). The property is clean and comfortable with plenty of room. We were able to have space and time alone as well as gathering for meals, coffee and wine. Very comfortable for 3-4 people. The drive up to the property is scenic and tranquil. It was a little tricky at first but then we sorted out the gps and it became super simple. The short trip down the hill to the market, or a little further into the lovely town of Lucca makes this location perfect to get away and enjoy simplicity or venture not too far out to experience the magic of the antiquity of Italy. Florence centre can be reached in 30 minutes by public coach service, departures are at 650 metres from the property. Our holiday house is much appreciated by those who want to visit Florence without a car or to explore Tuscany. A dual carriageway leading to Florence and Siena is 3.5Km away. For guests with one or two cars, we have a private parking inside the property.
The central railway station of Florence SMN can be reached by public transport in approximately 35 minutes.

There is a heating system on both floors. A fast Internet connection (30 Mbps VDSL with Wi-Fi b/g/n router) at your exclusive use, all the house and part of the garden are covered by Wi-Fi (you can turn it off any time).
The TV set is connected to the Internet and has got Chromecast so you can connect it to your smartphone or tablet. Also available Free-To-Air Satellite TV (mostly German channels).

# OUTSIDE: TERRACE and GARDEN
The terrace in front of the house has got a great view over the countryside, it's at your exclusive use. You can have meals outside as it's equipped with table and chairs under a gazebo (uncovered during Winter). A stone barbecue is available (wood is not provided). A garden with olive trees and fruit trees surrounds the house (shared with us owners). On the back there is our farmhouse and other buildings of the village. The property is part of the village of San Casciano, it is not isolated in the countryside.

# A RELAXING TUSCAN EXPERIENCE
Unlike other places in the province of Florence, San Casciano is not a small town crowded with tourists. You will find a lively and typical environment of the Tuscan countryside. Although the village suffered great devastation during the Second World War, some historical parts of medieval origin were saved.
By staying at Il Visciolo, you can relax watching great sunsets, go shopping on foot, eat good food in one of the various restaurants frequented by locals, visit Florence comfortably by suburban bus. Taking the car, if you have one, only to reach other Chianti villages and cities in Tuscany.

There is a beautiful inner court yard ,a large covered terrace and a huge outside terrace with warm shower. The property is approx. 5000 square meter big and fenced with a natural hedge. In the kitchen there is an old, well working Sard oven, in which you can bake bread or Pizza or grill fish. 2 bicycles are available. The night sky is overwhelmingly beautiful, one sees the Milky Way very clearly, since there is no light pollution. There is a fire-place to heat the sleeping room, also mobile gas heating is available. Two more beds in a separate room for 2 more guests. The cottage is furnished with ethnic furnitures. Distance to the Sea is about 2.5 km and the next beach 4.5 km.

Further information about the furnishings: The 2nd room is connected to the bedroom with a door. In addition, there is a storage room for bikes and more. The house is located in an old typical sardinian agricultural area (vineyards, lemon and orange groves, vegetable cultivation etc but there are also many 'wheat' fields, which are no longer used.) There are a few more houses in the area, of which some are rented out in the summer. The nearest neighbour is about 100 metres away. The house belongs to the carpenter of the village.

Guests comments : The house is beautiful and absolutely deserves the title of romantic villa. The terrace is a dream, and the other rooms are very lovingly decorated, and even the refrigerator was filled for us that was totally nice and the kitchen was excellent, it wasn't missing anything. It was brilliant that there were two bicycles which we always used to get bread, or just for a trip by bicycle to the beach. Those that like to stay calm and like seclusion then this is just right. I would stay there any time, especially when traveling as a group where nobody bothers you and others do not feel disturbed, which is perfect, and you enjoy your holiday.The choice of beaches in the area is excellent. Tenuta La Fuga ( literally "The Escape") is a charming farmhouse nestling in the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside. It reflects the Folonari family’s great love for Tuscany, its land, its grapes, and the wines produced from its vineyards and that for centuries have been at the heart of the family business.
La Fuga is at the center of one of Italy’s most beautiful regions, the land of Brunello, one of Italy’s most famous wine-producing areas. At Tenuta La Fuga you may visit our cellar where we produce our Brunello wine with our caretaker, upon his availability, but there is not an organized wine tasting. If you are a real wine lover and would like to know further about our production, please come and visit our main cellars by the Tenuta di Nozzole near Greve in Chianti, where we hold proper wine tastings. Booking your visit and wine tasting in advance is strongly recommended. Visiting the lovely and lively village of Greve in the morning, and visiting our cellar at Nozzole in the afternoon, could be an opportunity to see another beautiful part of Tuscany, the Florentine province.

Also, this home is located approximately 15 minutes outside of Montalcino so arriving before dark is advised. The owners provided a sampling of their wine and a welcome basket (along with eggs, milk, juice, pasta and sauce), which was lovely and then also had a a full complement of their wines for us to purchase and drink during our stay. We loved this as it allowed us to try out a few wines from their label during our stay with ease. Last, if arriving home after a long day of touring, the home is well equipped for cooking dinner at home (or arranging dinner with Chef Francesco who was wonderful!) with a full set of pots and pans, a grill and all of the dish ware needed for a full dinner. We enjoyed dinner with Chef Francesco on our first night and ate at home two other nights to avoid going back out after long days of sightseeing and visiting wineries. Great option for families. We would definitely return!"

It is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Check in was easy... Paolina provided exact GPS co-ordinates and finding the house was straightforward - we were met by Estelle and were soon settled in and sat in the terrace with a glass of wine. During the week we walked in the hills above Cortona, around Chiusure in the val d'Orcia and these were lovely, but because the weather was so good - it was very warm walking! Sightseeing we stayed fairly close to home; Cortona, Arezzo and Montepulciano and doubtless missed many other fine places nearby. We drove around lago Trasimeno and enjoyed Castiglione del Lago (excellent truffle omelette for lunch) and Passignano sul Trasimeni (fine aperitivos overlooking the lake). We ate in Cortona at the Osteria del Teatro (twice) and the Trattoria Toscana. The cooking at the Osteria is doubtless finer but the grilled veal chop at the trattoria will live on in my memory for a long time! We were lucky with the weather and were able to spend most of our time at the house relaxing on the terrace - we BBQ'd twice and were able to eat outside the whole week. All in all, this was a splendid week in a relaxing house... we enjoyed it very much. "

It is an old rural house, well equipped, where we too often go to rest and relax.
It has got two floors: at the ground floor there’s a kitchen with a fireplace, a living and sitting room and a bathroom with a bath-tub.
At the upper floor, there are four bedrooms and another bathroom, with a shower. It has got a wide garden all around and about three hectares of not fenced farmland.
There is garden furniture to sit and eat outside, a big umbrella for shade, a hammock and a swing for children. There’s a barbecue too, and a little wood oven on one of the external walls of the house, very good for pizza and bread!

It has a wonderful nature! My husband loves to travel by train, so we made our way to Cinque Terre from the train station Barga-Gallicano. It is just 5 Minutes away. It took us maybe 45 Minutes longer, but it was a nice trip. You can also go to Pisa, Lucca and Firenze by train easily. Quite a few steps and stairs, so maybe not ideal for the very young or old, but a great, quirky building surrounded by lemon trees and beautiful countryside." - "We've spent our most beautiful two weeks of vacation in this amazing house and within this incredible landscape. It has a hair dryer, washer, extra linens, extra towels, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, table, microwave, and windows that open to the water. Martina met us at the ferry landing close by and took her time showing us around the apartment and giving us recommendations for things to do. This apartment is in a great location, walkable to everything around including museums, shopping, cafes, and great dinner restaurants. The Three Terraces was truly one of the most sensational, lavish properties my Boyfriend and I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Truly a jaw dropping property. All the amenities you could need were included and then some and we were literally only 30 feet away from a town square which held exceptional eateries and a conveniently located market. Also, it was only about a 15 minute walk to Rialto Bridge and central shopping areas. Our assigned Agent Marco was exceptionally helpful and aided us in getting situated and feeling like locals straight away. It was a truly sensational stay and we could not be happier.
