The large yard was wonderful for morning coffee, sunbathing and a glass of wine in the evening. Roberto was an incredible host, he took us to his gardens and showed us how he grows lemons, he gave us many lemons and also delicious fresh tomatoes and lettuce from the garden. Roberto took us on a 3 hour hike to the waterfall where we were treated to incredible views and he showed us the ancient fern, the medieval bridge, the old paper mill and many other sites. Casa Le Pigne is an enchanting 2000sq ft, single-level villa situated in a peaceful and panoramic position (600m altitude), overlooking the forests and gentle hills of the Chianti Classico wine region of Tuscany.
We improve Casa le pigne every year ! in 2024: we have installed a new AC, This year we replaced the heating, upgrade the pool and embellished the garden.
The property is private and calm (nearest neighbour about 500m away) and at 6km from the historic village of Castellina in Chianti. Castellina is world famous for Rocca delle Macie wine, along with hundreds of other tasteful wines. Castellina is also well known for its antique shops, delicious restaurants and the Saturday weekly market.
