For the price of a much cheaper hotel, the Loews is pure luxury. We loved the lobby --cosying up by the fire, or ordering fries from the bar in the corner [a very quiet mellow area], playing cards-- and a coffee place in the morning by the elevators for a quick run for the family drinks-- and the location is ideal. Two and half blocks from Miracle Mile shopping in one direction, one block from the Riverwalk in the other, two blocks from Navy Pier etc. When tired, literally go across the street for: cinema, arcade, bowling, sushi, luxury pub, or grab supplies at Whole Foods, Walgreens, or Target. The pool is incredibly long and thin, which works very well for families because each can have their own areas. Only negative: the TV's are not smart tv's, so you either have to order $21 pay per views, or watch a few basic cable channels (Shark Tank or the local news?). So bring a Roku with you."

It was looking across Jackson street and we could see Xmas lights and decorations in the area, which was lovely. Very closely located to Willis Tower, so a good selection of restaurants there as well as up and down the street. But because it’s the business district most of the eateries close early in the evening/late afternoon. Iconic Giordano’s right across the street. Self parking is at the iPark lot across the street for an extra fee, but you do get in and out privileges. I would definitely stay here again! "

What really made our check-in great was the fact we were able to check-in around 10:45am. With an early arrival flight, we understood we may have had to leave our bags and come back at the 3pm check-in time later, but they already had a room available and we got extremely lucky. This will not be the case for everyone so please make sure of the hotels availability. The hotel bar was cozy and drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was classy and great for a date night filled with great conversation and reconnection. You can really tell the bartenders are experienced. Overall stay was exceptional for us. - "This hotel is in a very convenient spot in Downtown Chicago. It's less than 4 minutes walking from Lasalle Station (blue line),Harrison Station (red line), and several bus lines. That means you can reach all the city's attractions quite easily. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel itself is simple but beautiful and clean (the lobby and sitting area are both really nice). The room was cozy with a great view. Absolutely every corner of the room and the bathroom was spotless. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've tried for a long time and the big TV has a lot of cable channels to choose from. The only complain I have is the cigarette scent that was on and of through the ventilation system...It wasn't overwhelming but still very noticable. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and I would strongly recommend this hotel."
