The sofa bed is a little uncomfortable so recommend bringing a pad but the main bed was very comfortable. - "Classy!" - "Full kitchen!!!" - "The GEM Museum Suites is perfectly located for our visit with our son. Though not in downtown shopping area of Evanston it is not far. Parking, on the side of building, was very convenient but comes with a cost of $20 p/d. The decor is very impressive and recently renovated. It is not a huge hotel, which makes it feel "homey." During our 6 days stay we met only one other group of 3 guest and they were checking out. (We were told the next week would be very busy.) The suite is equipped with all we needed: kitchenette, fridge, dishwasher, etc., all very condensed. The separate bedroom with two queen size beds is separate from the sitting area/kitchenette area, just down a short hall, just inside the entry door. The ONLY negatives are the new flooring is laminate "snaps, crackles and pops" in certain areas because of poor adhesion and the instructions for using the TV streaming (there are 2 TVs) in the suite and the coffee to water ratio for the Mr. Coffee maker are very lacking."

This is a sweet and sensation room with a very comfortable new full size bed and a desk so you can work in your computer, Nice kitchen and any dishes and pots you need for cooking. This place is very private and the entire apartment is rented Airbnb. Good for business trip, students or simply to spent some time in Chicago. The Apartment is on the 3rd floor rear entry. Free Wi Fi.

The space
My place is very nice because you feel very independent you do not feel like you are bothering the host or anybody that in the place because in this place everyone is a guest. Free Wi Fi, Our towels, Pillowcases and sheets delivers clean, soft, and comfortable linens to ensure the comfort of our guest and guarantee your satisfaction. All towels and blankets are low-linting. We use Alsco for our linen service.

Our 162 yr old Victorian has been a labor of love and hate, as we remodel each room.
It's our joy to open our home & we hope to be a blessing to all who visit but bring your slippers as there's no shoes allowed in our home. The private bedroom is on the second floor.

The space
We are situated nicely between Illinois State & University of Illinois.
Our town has a rich history and our 150 yr old home is no exception. Built by some of the founding members of Le Roy, it sits on a hillside and is surrounded by mature trees and landscaping.
We have done extensive remodeling and still have finish work to complete but the original hardwoods and pocket doors have been salvaged.
We request you take your shoes off when you arrive, we don't wear them in the house.

Guest access
Upstairs is where you will find the private bedroom. A shared bathroom is just across the hall and is plenty spacious to allow you room to get ready in the morning.
The dinning room table is where guests are welcome to utilize the area for work, if needed.

There is a spacious back yard, you are welcome to use. If a rocker is more your style, feel free to sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee (tea is my preference) and watch the sun rise.

During your stay
when you arrive you'll park in the horseshoe drive in front of the house, and enter through the front door. We will greet you and show you to the room.

After that, we will be available if you have questions or a conversation but we will give you plenty of quiet to enjoy what's to hopefully be a peaceful stay.

Other things to note
Our dogs are not allowed upstairs, in the guest bedrooms, but they will be in the main parts of the house and will be out to interact with guests.
Within a 15 minute drive, our guests are invited to spend time exploring the nearby state park! With a beach, lots of fishing spots, great parks for the kids, hiking trails, boating and kayaking (which may be rented), it is a fun place to spend some down time.
