Additional Notes:
-This 1920 home features stairs steeper than modern standards though customary for it's time. The primary bedroom and full bath are on the main level and 2 bedrooms are up stairs. Please use caution when using the stairs.

Please note that there is just one bathroom at the house, which is on the first level. If your group size exceeds 7, timing with showers and the available hot water could be limited if all showers are taken back-to-back. We do have extra mirrors in the home for getting ready!

We love that you are enjoying our place! If you wish to stay longer please give us as much heads up as possible so we can accommodate a few extra minutes to another restful night! Unfortunately, if our cleaning team arrives and check-out has not occurred we may charge for the additional hours at our cleaning team's rates (minimum $50/hr). Thank you for your understanding!

Location can't be beat. Literally just steps away from EAST DUNDEE main Street and all it has to offer. Bakery just around the corner to pick up breakfast. Bike path starts just a block away that takes you all the way to Geneva in one direction and Algonquin in the other. During the summer there is wine down Wednesday and Thirsty Thursday with band playing while you sit back and relax. Every Saturday in summer and the EAST DUNDEE Depot there is a fleas market. Several restaurants and boutique shopping found both in old town and over the bridge to West Dundee. As well as Rockhausk just 3 blocks away. No need to even pay for an uber.

Great location." - "You can't miss the charm of this Victorian home with all the original woodwork, including a pocket door, the stained glass windows in the living room and the leaded glass window in the foyer. Combine this with large rooms and comfortable beds. Then there is the convenience of the location. Only two short blocks to downtown Huntley and the town square. Huntley has concerts, a farmers market and arts & crafts in the square on various days/nights. The square is surrounded by restaurants, bars and quaint shops. All this just a short walk from the house. If you want more, shopping and more restaurants are just a short drive away. Dean and Amelissa are wonderful hosts. We rented this home for four weeks. Each week we would receive a text from Dean making sure that everything was going well and that we didn't need anything. "

- "St Patrick's Day is always a great time in East Dundee so we have been celebrating there for many years. The only downside was trying to find safe transportation home. This led to us looking for somewhere close to stay. Fortunately, we found the perfect location right in East Dundee. It has multiple parking spots on the back side of the building while the front side has a great balcony overlooking River St. It was the perfect spot to watch the parade as well as for some people watching throughout the weekend. The unit was clean and very cozy. It provided a spot for us to make a few meals as well as a great meetup spot when the downtown area was overly busy. The selfish side of me did not want to give a review to increase the likelihood it would be available for next year. If you are looking for a nice place to spend a weekend, this is it. If I had to guess there are at least 15 restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as a Dairy Queen and a frozen custard shop. If you enjoy the outdoors the Fox River Bike Trail is directly across the street. The trail is over 40 miles in length and runs from Aurora north into Algonquin. The combination of the nice unit mixed with such a great location I would definitely give it 5 stars and look forward to our next stay!"

The home is located in a very small, but conveniently located, part of unicorporated Dundee. Drive to Randall Rd is only 1min, and to Route 31 only 5mins! Plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, departments stores, parks for running/walking/cycling within 1-15 minutes. Very private & peaceful location. Free parking on premises (large driveway). Perfect for couples, and solo adventurers. Please note that due to its own private entrance, suite is not accessible with wheel chair (not handicap friendly). As a courtesy to our guests, suite is also treated by a high efficiency air cleaner & air scrubber to keep you in a comfortable & healthy environment. Something to note is that the home has well water- so while the water is very clean & clear (we've had it professionally tested for quality), it does have a not so pleasant taste/smell to it. So we do provide purified water for our guests.

Your bedroom is on the main floor with a shared bathroom. There are 2 small steps to get into the house. There is one parking space.

You can see the river from your room, but you will enjoy the view much more from the family room.

We have a big, beautiful kitchen with lots of counter space and an island. The river-facing side of the house is all windows, ensuring a beautiful view from the main area of the house, whether you are cooking, washing dishes, or just relaxing on the couch. We have a fully stocked kitchen with all the cooking supplies and amenities you need to make an amazing meal! We also have a grill right outside the kitchen. We ask that you use the kitchen no more than one hour per day. Additionally, if you use the kitchen during prime hours, you may have to share it with others.

There is a TV in your bedroom, and we have subscriptions to a few streaming services, which may include Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu and possibly more. You can also log into your own subscriptions. Please ask ahead of time if you are counting on any specific subscription.

You will have access to the laundry room 1-2 days per week. We have a washer and dryer, as well as iron and ironing board. Your nightly rate includes up to 3 quick or normal loads of laundry per week, including bedding. There is a schedule for all the members of the household. Laundry fee for more than 3 loads per week is $10 per load. Heavy duty loads (or cycles more than 90 minutes) are not allowed.

The bedrooms are spread out over both levels, with two bedrooms on the main floor and two on the second. They are beautifully furnished with high quality beddings. The bathrooms are very clean, feature a bathtub with a shower on the first floor, shower on the second and plenty of fluffy towels.

The highlight of this waterfront house is the expansive two level new deck with hot tub where you can soak and relax, while enjoying scenic views.
Deck area with luxury furniture is just perfect for having your morning coffee or evening cocktails. Stepping down you will find the convenient outdoor kitchen with barbeque, fridge as well as a stoned fire pit area surrounded by eight comfortable chairs (fire wood provided).

The Waterfront Paradise is located in a family oriented area, allowing you to truly disconnect from daily hustle. However, it is still within minutes of Port Edward restaurant, local pubs, famous Old Town of Algonquin with gorgeous promenade and other attractions, stores and restaurants. There is also Fox 14 Marina within a few minutes walk from the house where you can rent a pontoon boat to cruise around, enjoy water fun and sunset. During the winter season one can go for an ice fishing on the smoothly frozen water.
