The space
Private, comfortable, cozy, clean.
Your bedroom is # 3 on the second floor. There are windows with weights, please open with caution. Under one window there is a cedar chest which has extra pillows and blankets. The curtains are blackout and there are wooden blinds to allow filtered light. In a corner there is a book case where you can keep some of your personal items. The dresser and closet space is also available.
This room does not have any room to accommodate children.
There is a full length mirror iron and iron stand. A ceiling fan for your comfort.
The bathroom has plenty of places to store bags, or hang towels and toiletries. In the shower there is a rod to hang your towels when showering. Please wipe the glass doors and tiles with the squeegee.
There are cleaning supplies that are in a spray bottle with nontoxic and environmentally safe products. (Meyers). Please use a paper towel to wipe down sinks, surfaces etc. for your own comfort. We have new commodes that have oblong seats and are higher. We request all men to please sit on the seats rather than stand. This helps to keep the area around the commode clean.
On the front porch there is a swing ,a table and benches to sit out in front. We have a deck in the back with folding chairs available.

Guest access
Most places you can park on street for free. Downtown Elgin is 2 mins away. Post office, city center(public gym) with an indoor pool and a track is a 2 minute drive from our home. The access to the Fox River behind us is a perfect place to take a walk or jog. It is behind our home less than a 2 min walk.

Guests get full access to the entire house and parking for 2 cars behind the garage. The garage itself is not available. We do not allow parties or guests to invite anyone not on the reservation over to our home. Please make sure all guests are added to your reservation and ID Verified through Airbnb when booking. No one will be allowed in the house that is not on the reservation. We do allow one up to 15 lb. hypo-allergenic dog (dogs with hair, not fur and do not shed like Poodles are hypo-allergenic) for an extra charge. We do not allow cats. Our home is beautifully decorated with some period antique furniture. It is a great place to gather and relax. It is quiet and a very residential neighborhood. As such we do not allow parties or anyone to be invited over to the home that is not on the reservation and ID verified. This is a house in a quiet and very nice neighborhood. It's a beautiful single family home, the master bedroom with an on-suite bathroom w/shower. 2 bedrooms have King size beds, one has a queen. The bedrooms are nice-size with large closets. The hall bathroom has a bathtub and shower.

There is also a lower level to the home with a 4th bedroom, bathroom and kitchen available.

There is a large living room with a 75" 4K SMART TV that is connected to WIFI for all of your favorite shows, a nice dining room with a table that seats 6 people, a large kitchen with a breakfast bar, nice 5 burner stove w/griddle and double oven!

The backyard is huge with a sliding glass door from the dining room out onto the patio, there is large outdoor patio set with an umbrella and very nice Weber BBQ Grill.

The house is decked out with everything that you could possibly need to enjoy your stay... and you can always let us know if there is anything special that you would need - we are happy to help make sure you love your experience!

The neighbors are fairly close so we do not allow parties or people to come over that are not listed on the reservation - but it is a perfect place for friends and family who would like a nice getaway or place to stay to spend quality time together.
