The canopy is electronic, and it has the latest in Bluetooth sound technology. There are 10 adult emergency life jackets on board. We also have children live jackets available in a variety of sizes.

There are plenty of games available after the sun goes down too. For the adventurer in you, there is a canoe, paddle board or other water sports available. A quick walk to The Head of the Lakes for an ice cream cone is sure to satisfy the kid in everyone.
This cabin comfortably sleeps 5 but can accommodate more with a trundle bed and sleeper sofa. Have a boat? No problem! There are built-in bumpers and cleats on the dock. With advanced notice, we may be able to accodomate access to our covered boat lift that can accommodate most boats up to 18’ long. If you’re lucky enough to catch fish, use the outdoor fish cleaning table for your convenience!
Need a place for the teens to hang? The screened-in boat house is a perfect hang out spot with a dart board and access to music.
You’ll have access to a 15’ canoe, stand-up paddle board that converts to a sit-down kayak, ladder ball, bean bag boards, bocce ball and the fire pit.
You can gas up the boat less than 1/4 mile away right on the lake at the Head of the Lakes resort. Call ahead and pick up your burgers while you’re there!
Head into the town of Osakis for a game of bowling at the Bowling Barn. Grab a loaded Bloody Mary at O Town Tavern or breakfast at AJs Cafe. Need a quick pick-me-up? There’s fresh coffee in town while you enjoy some shopping. Don’t forget to grab an ice cream at the famous Tip Top Dairy Bar. *Outdoor security cameras are on the property and coverage includes part of the driveway, the entry door, lakeside yard and dock. Very close proximately to most everything. Two-minute walk to our beach to enjoy the beautiful Lake Minnewaska waters. Park your boat right up on the beach. Boat landing and public beach is a block away, and Barsness Park has a bunch of activities including the new splash pad for the kiddos!! Glenwood is the home of Waterama (last full weekend every July) and Winterama (2nd weekend in February). Be sure to check out our Guest Guide for additional local information! Please note this is a new property, which has some work needed on the outside entrance staircase - take care in using the existing cement steps that display erosions on the ends, and do not have a railing. Additionally, the driveway is somewhat steep to get up to the very top to the entrance and firepit area

- "I cannot express how much we enjoyed staying at this property. Everything was immaculately clean and the items that were provided, which were a lot, were top notch. It was located close to the water and the public dock. We were able to easily walk to the dock and fish. The center of town was just down the road so it made getting groceries and shopping easy. Other cities and adventures were just a short drive away. I felt comfortable that the local hospital was right there in case something happened. Todd was very responsive and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Even though we did not end up renting a boat he was able to give us the information for boat rentals. You will not be disappointed staying at this property as it is at the center of everything. One thing to note, and it has nothing to do with the property, is the hours of operation for the local restaurants and when they serve dinner. You will want to investigate this when you get there if you are planning on eating out. Thank you for this wonderful experience!"

We recently bought the home next to our home on Lake Minnewaska located in Glenwood, MN. We have furnished the home and are now making it available for rent. Everything is pretty much provided including kitchen utensils,
grill, towels and bedding. This is a very nice two bedroom two bath home with a beautiful deck overlooking lake Minnewaska.

Minnewaska is an excellent lake for fishing including walleyes and bass. You also have your own private dock for you to use as you can see in the pictures.

We would like to find a person or mature quiet couple who are looking to rent a lake home in Glenwood for occasional use through out the year, either monthly or yearly or possibly weekly. We live in a quiet residential area that is very safe. The house is located right along the lake with the patio deck literally overlooking the water's edge.

This is a very nice attractive home with a modern kitchen, gas fireplace, and within a mile of downtown Glenwood. See pictures that are attached.

The rent rates are all shown on the web site and vary between summer rates and winter rates. Wifi and spectrum tv is provided. You are responsible for the electric bill. I pay all other utilities. No pets and no smoking. This is a very nice attractive cozy lake home. We also have a 16 foot fishing boat as well as an older pontoon along with a boat lift if needed. We also have a 6.5 x 12 foot ice castle fish house for use during the winter season. Again check out the pictures.

The unit has a queen size bed on the main floor and two beds upstairs, one is a double bed and the other is a single. The house could accommodate 4 people comfortably.

- "Very well kept property and convenient location. Close to a beautiful public beach and several parks. Glenwood has everything you would need and having the owner next door is a plus. The deck off the back of the house right next to the lake is amazing, and we spent as much time there as we could! The home is stocked with linens, a full kitchen, and anything you can think of that you might forget! Bryon and Phyllis were wonderful hosts and helped you in any way possible, but also gave you plenty of privacy! We went fishing for the week and caught lots of Northern Pike, Bass, and Sunfish. We were also able to catch fish off the dock when we were not using their pontoon. Lake Minnewaska is a very nice lake and we were able to see down 10-12 feet. They also have a nice beach on the lake in Glenwood with lifeguards. We swam at the beach one day and they had a slide my kids loved. The kids also enjoyed jumping off both docks. The docks were nice and Byron had just installed a new ladder on ours! Byron also checked the batteries and filled the gas up on the pontoon every day. He also ordered a new pump for the live well when he found out it wasn't working and got it up and working!!! The washer and dryer were a nice addition to the house and came in handy during our week there. The town of Glenwood is nice and has all the things you would need. We ate one night out at Lakeside Steak & Chop House, which is right on the lake. It had beautiful views and amazing food! I would definitely not think twice about renting this house! We will definitely be back for another stay, hopefully next summer! Thanks Byron & Phyllis for an amazing family vacation!"

- "Winterhaven was just the retreat i was looking for. Quiet, beautiful and serene." - "Funky little cabins away from it all. We never turned the TV on. Great fishing from the dock and we loved listening to the loons and watching the pelicans and bald eagles." - "Loons each night and sunsets across the lake. Just chillin away from hustle and bustle. Owners met us upon arrival and was available the whole week but we did not need anything - all was in working order. As described, not a fancy overbearing place, all clean and in working order matching the description. Some things brand new in the cottage. - "Cant wait to go back" - "This review is for cabins 3 and 4. Owners welcomed us upon arrival and were nearby all week should we have needed something. When we realized we forgot our life jackets the owners simply provided us with some to use. As guests you are given use of a paddle boat, two kayaks, and a dock for your boat. Our group didn't fish, but there was a fish house on the grounds. The smaller cabins are a bit dated, but fully stocked. Each of the smaller cabins has silverware, plates, glassware, etc. provided in a full kitchen. They also provide a charcoal grill with each cabin in addition to a fire pit and picnic table. If you don't want to eat inside, there are patio tables with chairs. These are two bedroom cabins. One bedroom has a double bed, the second has a double bed with a lofted twin bunk overhead. Beds were comfortable and sheets and pillows were also provided. It was a really beautiful and quiet lake and a great week long retreat for the fam."

We are both working full time but are always available for questions or concerns. Our sweet mini poodle, Finley, may occasionally stop in and say hello - if welcomed by guests. If not, please let the hosts know and we will gladly put up a gate. We also recently added Mabel to our family who is a 7 month old mini poodle. She will not have access to your space. Please note that occasionally you may hear a little bark or two as our dogs do occasionally like to play, but we do try to keep them as quiet as possible when we have guests.

Warm and comfortable space, close to downtown In Alexandria. Noonans Park is close by, and we are 1 mile from the bike trail. Alexandria offers parks, music, theater, shopping, boating, bicycling, and much more. Alexandria is easy to get to but hard to leave.
We also request no check ins after 10 pm.

The space
This bedroom is in the lower level of the house. The bathroom on this level is not shared with other guests. There is also a living room space to enjoy. A workspace is available or simply join in on a current puzzle being worked on the pool table. Kitchen upstairs is available for your use. A continental breakfast is provided. The sofa bed is strictly for small children as it would be quite uncomfortable for adults. The living room area, pool table area and laundry room are shared with the hosts. Although when guests are present we only access the laundry room if needed.

Cozy is what you feel in our private apartment close to parks and downtown. This main level apartment is quiet and close to everything in Alexandria. We invite couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (w/ kids), and even families with furry friends (pets). The space is open concept - so there is lots of ability to spread out. Also, the large living room window and bedroom windows are a great source of natural light. All windows look out on old growth trees creating a sanctuary.

The space
Newly renovated one bedroom with queen and twin beds. In the main living area, the couch folds out and provides an additional queen-sized sleeping area. Comfortable chairs, full sized kitchen, a dining table, and television provide guests with a comfortable place to rest and relax.

On the property you will find a fire pit, grill and seating by the garden. We also have a selection of outdoor games that can be enjoyed upon request.

The train runs through town and so you will hear the occasional whistle.

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

The space
This log cabin is over 150 years old having been erected by Benjamin Maynard shortly after the Civil War. We moved and restored it and it now sits in a meadow at the edge of our woods. The fully functional kitchen features an old-fashioned kerosene stove and period furnishings. A wood stove heats the cabin on chilly mornings. Multiple kerosene lanterns provide light after dark. The two upstairs beds are genuine antiques and are furnished with handmade quilts and feather pillows. Guests have access to an outdoor fire ring and barbecue. Guests should also feel free to explore the adjacent woods and property.

Our guests have access to the cabin, and the yard around the cabin. Guests should feel free to explore the meadow and woods surrounding the cabin. Our residence is not located at the cabin but can be accessed with a short drive or a walk through the woods.

Other things to note
Benjamin Maynard was from Tennessee but he fought in the Civil War for the Union side. After the war he was no longer welcome in Tennessee and had to leave the state. He migrated to Minnesota and eventually to this area where he erected this cabin sometime time the early 1870s. The cabin was lived in by members of the Maynard family until the early 1950s, nearly a hundred years.
In 1984, Ruth’s mom, Carol, spied the cabin, fell in love with it and purchased it for a nominal sum. It was slated for demolition.
When we obtained the cabin, it was being used for storage and was in serious disrepair. We disassembled the cabin and moved it the two miles to our land. The restoration included replacing the bottom logs as well as both interior floors. The windows, doors and stairs are all new.
Ruth’s parents, Carol and Doug used the cabin summers for 37 years when they visited us from their home in Chicago.
Carol and Doug can no longer travel so we made what we think is a wise decision to convert the cabin to an Airbnb. Proceeds from Airbnb rental will allow us to continue the upkeep of this unique historical structure.

Oland Villa, named after a small island and province just off the southeast coast of Sweden, is a two-bedroom, one-bath, dog-friendly unit offering a single full bed in one room and twin bunks in the other. The living room has a pullout sofa for additional sleeping space.

Please note this is a new property, which has some work needed on the outside entrance staircase - take care in using the existing cement steps that display erosions on the ends, and do not have a railing. Lakeside firepit with seating ready for you to enjoy. Winter activities include snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross country skiing, ice skating and snowshoeing.

Other things to note
Ample car parking, (max of 3 vehicles) bring your boat to tie onto dock or securely park in driveway. 2 boat accesses within 1 mile. Overnight street parking is not allowed

Nice cozy cabin with new central air/heat and newly remodeled, situated with a great view of Lake Minnewaska and close to the beach at Starbuck. The boat launch is across the street and for larger boats the marina is only 1/4 mile away. Excellent fisherman's location.

The space
New 65" Smart TV so you can stream all of your favorite shows as well as excellent internet. New comfort height elongated toilet in the bathroom. Gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, and coffee maker in the kitchen. New Cental Air Conditioning a must in the summer months.

This is a beautiful lake home located right on the shoreline of Lake Minnewaska in Glenwood, MN.
House is fully furnished, has two bedrooms, two bath rooms, gas fireplace, and large deck right next to the lake. We have a fishing boat, ice castle fish house 8x12, and pontoon available to rent. The space
Owner lives next door and can provide for a rental fee a 16 foot fishing boat or older pontoon or for ice fishing , an ice castle 6.5 x 12 fish house. We also have a boat lift you can rent. Renters that stay a month or longer pay the electric bill. The city of Glenwood requires a 3 percent lodging tax to be charged as well.

Glenwood is considered a tourist town which provides numerous activities such as fishing, hiking, ice fishing, golfing, etc.
