Our Cowboy Cabin is a great space, with a main living area & a loft, accommodating up to 4 people (or +2 if you don't mind roll away beds). The main living area is encompassed by a high loft ceiling, accommodating sleeping, seating & dining! Additional space offered in the loft with 2 twin beds. It is fully furnished with a microwave, mini fridge, ice maker, coffee maker, shower, jacuzzi tub, & we even provide soft drinks, coffee, & snacks!

This guest house is very clean, spacious and is very secluded with great scenery and a large hot tub exclusive to the guesthouse and large pool which only shared with the property owner. There are many great wineries and restaurants nearby.
Guest have always rated the property 5 stars.

Note: For your security and mine there are Ring cameras mounted on the outside of the main house. These cameras are activated by motion. When activated a light comes on at night so the camera can record the activity.

The space:
The property is a large home with a gorgeous view right off the front yard and back deck. Each bedroom offers a king sized bed for a comfortable stay for every guest.

The large main level living room with fireplace creates a cozy and elegant environment during your stay. The dining room features a custom made table that is perfect for entertaining and making memories around. The large main level kitchen is equipped with all the stuff one needs to create delicious meals during your stay.

The lower level hosts a spacious living room along with a dining area and a kitchenette. This is allows guests staying in the lower level bedrooms to enjoy their own coffee and cereal bar and any late night snacks. The deck on this level leads out to the 6 person hot tub and some amazing views!

Feeling up for a stroll on the Katy trail? Great! We are located just 1 minute (by bike) from the Augusta Trail Head- And did we mention you and your guests are welcome to the bikes we have provided!

House Rules:
NO events or parties. If you are looking to throw a party with a large group of friends or family this is not the place for you.
No smoking(of any substances), in or around the house. This includes the back decks.
Our cleaning fee covers standard turnovers- any additional messes, stains or large amounts of excess trash will be deducted from the security deposit.

- "Our second time staying her and the house is amazing!! Great place to relax and drink wine with friends!!" - "We came from three different states, the main goal being getting four 80+ siblings together. We had nine people total. This was just perfect for us! Three bedrooms are on the main floor and two bedrooms and foldout downstairs. We figured out who could mange stairs and who needed to not step over a tub to shower and it was easy and perfect. We had brought food to heat up for the first night and had a lovely meal all at the same table. We could have used some bowls with lids for food storage, but other than that, we pretty much had everything we needed. The screened-in porch is huge and the view is beautiful and even though it was hot and humid, we turned on the fan and hung out out there quite a bit. We had a great selection of beer at the nearby brewery, which is a short walk away. The ones who aren't good on uneven surface took a car, but it worked well. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Lots of laughter, fun, and then we all had a very comfortable bed to sleep in. Really a great place! Next time I would go on a Thursday check-in because the only real restaurant in town is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing!! Great place!"

- "Attended a wedding 👍" - "The home was very nice and worked for four couples. It is a great get away from everyone place. I was concerned about the arrangement of furniture in the downstairs bedrooms. The egress/escape window in both rooms had a large bed with headboard in front of them. One bedroom the problem was more significant as it was completely covering window. I know my husband and I would have had a difficult time moving the bed to get out. I think the furniture should be rearanged for safety purposes. The light in the staircase and lights down stairs did flicker several times which made we wonder a bit about the wiring. Overall it met our needs. Thank you!"

FIREPLACE AREA

This area is our fave, with the wrap around sectional that you sink into and prop your feet up on the stools. Or claim the leather recliner as your spot for the evening. This area is located in the middle of the home, open to the kitchen and breakfast table.

KITCHEN and DINING

Fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave as well as several small appliances that you can't live without (i.e. Keurig, regular coffeemaker, teapot). The Pointer Haus is equipped with plenty of place settings, solid flatware, and sleek glassware, as well as wine glasses for relaxing.

There are three different spaces to eat your meals together. One is the breakfast table next to the kitchen, second is the main dining room, and third is the dining set on the back deck.

Shaded by the oak trees, the back deck has a dining set as well as a barbecue grill.

FRONT PORCH AND YARD

A newly landscaped front walk and front porch welcome you to enjoy a cup of morning coffee or relax in the evening with local beer or wine while Fido plays in the yard. With over an acre of private grassy yard, feel free to run, jump, and play.

FAMLY ROOM

Lower level family room is the perfect hang out area to chill. With a pool table, foosball, and 65 inch TV as well as a recliner and a reclining couch. Kick back or take up some competition with your family.

With crisp white linens and a deliciously comfortable bed in each bedroom, your sleep is high priority at the Pointer Haus. There are 3 bedrooms on the upper floor, 1 bedroom on the main level and 1 bedroom on the lower level.

Each bathroom is stocked with fluffy white towels, shampoo and conditioner, and your own mini bar of handmade goat milk soap.

If you are coming for competition at Purina Events Center, please contact us for approval of multiple dogs and a special dog rate. The dog rate applies to ALL dogs on property, even those you choose not to bring inside the home.

It was over 100 degrees during our stay, so the pool was a great addition. Downtown Washington and wineries are very close. Our only regret was that we couldn’t use the porch more, due to the heat, because the view is gorgeous. Everyone had an amazing time and would love to come back! Tarah is a very responsive host, responds immediately if you need anything or have a question. Would highly recommend!"

Wood floors throughout, beam ceilings in lower level, and plenty of room to roam and connect with nature.

KITCHEN - fully equipped kitchen offers full-sized appliances, Keurig coffee maker (selection of K-pods provided), French press (for those who want to bring their own coffee), toaster, blender, crock pot, microwave, and all the basics for cooking. (Several guests have said this is the best equipped kitchen of any Airbnb they've booked.)

BEDROOMS - furnished with new and moderately firm queen mattresses and high quality linens (crisp sheets in the summer & flannel sheets in cold weather). Plenty of space to unpack and make yourself at home.

The closest grocery stores is 15-20 minutes away in Washington, MO.

You’ll want to make sure you have plenty of fuel in the tank as there are no convenience stores or service stations in the greater Augusta area. Also, while there are multiple choices for meals at area restaurants and wineries, you’ll want to plan ahead if intend to prepare some of your meals in the kitchen. Washington is fifteen minutes away and is the closest option for both fuel and groceries.
There will be a complimentary bottle of vino in the fridge and complimentary snack items that will quell any snack cravings between meals, but if you plan to whip up any culinary works of art you’ll need to be prepared.

This rental has a 16 foot sliding door that overlooks the forest and has its own private patio with plenty of seating for your group. The Cellar is completely private although it is attached to the Main house where owner resides most of the year.

The large main level kitchen is equipped with all the stuff one needs to create delicious meals during your stay.

The lower level hosts a spacious living room along with a dining area and a kitchenette. This is allows guests staying in the lower level bedrooms to enjoy their own coffee and cereal bar and any late night snacks. The deck on this level leads out to the 6 person hot tub and some amazing views!
