One full bathroom with tub/shower combo. The primary bedroom offers a king bed with a large ensuite bathroom with oversized shower and large walk-in closet.

The beds were comfortable and it was great to sink into the couch and watch tv after a long day. Having two and a half bathrooms was a huge bonus for our group of five when we were getting ready in the morning. The location is great; it’s not too far off the highway, but also within a quiet residential neighborhood that’s only a 15 minute walk from a nearby grocery store. We only had two TINY problems: 1) the development is SO new that it actually doesn’t show up on Google maps (but we were still able to find it easily enough). If you call for a ride share service, you might have to set your pickup location a block or so away. 2) our last night there, one of the bathroom sink drains got stuck closed and we could not get it to drain. I think it’s just one of those fluke things, so I don’t blame property management at all.Overall I would recommend staying here if you’re with family or a group. "

There was plenty of room for us to spread out or hang out together. The downstairs bathroom with a shower didn't have a curtain or door so we went out and bought one. Town is very close for restaurants and shopping. We didn't get a chance to go to the waterpark down the road (the road was closed to get there) and we had the pool and hot tub so we didn't want to spend the money. Neighborhood is very quiet."

The kitchen is a good size and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the master bath was a very nice size. The sauna was a very nice touch. Everything worked as expected and the furnace was able to keep up with the -15 degree temperatures we experienced during our stay. The instruction manual was complete and answered most of our questions. I hope stay here for our future visits."

There were plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within a 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed Cindy Lou's BBQ and Single Speed Brewery. The only complaint is that there weren't many "supplies" no hot pads, no butter knives, no spatulas, no mixing bowls. The home has the upstairs bedrooms on the far end of the house, far away from the kitchen. One of the basement bedrooms had a closet large enough to put a crib, pack and play, etc. We were there when it was 90+ every day and the house felt cool and we never felt hot. Hands down, one of the best VRBOs I've ever stayed in."

The kitchen flows into the dining area, so big groups can have a meal together - at the kitchen island, dining table, or both. Upstairs you will find washer/dryer, master (king) bedroom/full bath, and three bedrooms/full bath. All bedrooms have black-out curtains.

Built in the early 1940s just after Sportsman’s Lake was created, this space was once a summer house for roller rink workers, later served as a staff cabin, and after years of sitting quiet, it’s been brought back to life for short stays, camps, and retreats.

Tucked right beside the lake, Butternut offers peaceful views from its private deck and a cozy, rustic feel inside. It features a king bed, kitchenette (microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and hot plate), and a private bathroom with a hot shower.

Part of your stay includes complimentary access to the private 80-acre lake. A release of liability must be signed in advance to use our kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and any water activities you may want to enjoy at Pilgrim Heights. This waiver will be found in your cabin. If you do not find a waiver, please go to the office in advance to participate in water activities.

Plus an outdoor grill is available upon request.

At Pilgrim Heights, we also provide complimentary access to kayaks, canoes, & paddleboats on the private 80-acre lake as well as catch & release fishing from the shoreline. There are walking and hiking trails to get in touch with nature. To enjoy some leisurely summer fun Pilgrim Heights has a playground, volleyball net, and yard games available upon request. Make sure to stay until nighttime because there are plenty of firepits perfect for making smores while stargazing!
