When you arrive to The View At Happy Hollow, the beige exterior with red shutters set the house apart. A bright and cheerfully remodeled 1440 sq ft house (summer 2024) with a wall of sliding doors to the large 16' X 30' lakeside covered decks on both floors provide a close-up panoramic view of beautiful Dale Hollow Lake from the inside and the outside. You have found your happy place! A king primary bedroom and bath with walk in shower are on the top floor with deck access. The top floor offers an open plan Living / kitchen with 12' sliding door access; on the bottom floor there is one King bedroom with Lake View / Deck Access and a hall bath with tub / shower combo. Also on the first level is a flex room featuring an 86" TV for watching movies and colorful furniture for lounging.The green sofa / sleeper opens up to a queen size bed with a foam mattress. Walking towards the back of the flex room is a 6 top table with a view of the lake for dining or playing games. The kitchen features a bar with seating that lets guests chat with the cook. You can also cook outside on a large gas grill and lounge on the deck while enjoying the fire pit tables, the view, and the privacy. This house is pastel yellow and welcoming. It has been designed as a comfortable place to kick back, relax and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature on a quiet dead end road in Sherwood Shores. If you listen closely, you will hear a variety of owls hooting in evenings and early mornings and the birds sing all day from the heavy woods just off the deck. The lake inspired decor inside reflects all of the activities and nature found just outside. Up to a dozen squirrels, a variety of birds, and deer will often gather around the property. Sunset has also recently opened a new restaurant. There is a separate off-road parking area to the left of the house for 2 trucks and boat trailers or an RV. you can also check with the marina about parking space if you rent a dock slip. - "We were looking for a quick getaway and the owners were kind enough to squeeze us in. The cabin was close enough to several marinas but off the main roads so we didn't hear any traffic. The back porch is surrounded in trees and a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner. The fire pit is amazing with a lit path and finished surrounded so you're not sitting in the dirt or grass. Chairs and firewood were provided. We had amazing views of the sunset from the upper deck and were able to see some of the fireworks from the marinas. We didn't use the walking paths down to the water but would definitely do so when we stay again. This is great location for a couple or small family to get away and enjoy some time in a great setting. It had everything we needed for a long weekend at Dale Hollow!"

There are many things to enjoy around the Byrdstown area. Visit the Chamber of Commerce website for listings and locations. Cookeville is approximately a 45 minute drive right down Rt. 111. It has many shoppng opportunities, boutiques in the historic area as well as big box stores located around the city. If you like great dining, there are several great restaurants in the Cookeville area that are well worth the drive.

Welcome to our quaint Cabin! Super cute and comfortable fully equipped cabin! When you drive up you will find a great view plenty of parking for all the your boats and toys! The large front covered porch offering plenty of seating. Once you enter the Cabin you will be very delighted to find a very open and airy living space offering cathedral ceiling and an awesome lake view! The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and has plenty of seating, dining table and bar area. The kitchen is open to the living room. There is a large second full bath that also offering a laundry area as well. The first floor large Primary bedroom has a very comfortable King size bed and private bath that has a beautiful lake view to wake up to! Second floor bedroom offers two queen size beds. There is very large covered rear deck with plenty of seating to sit and enjoy the lake and mountain views and watch the boats go by. If you’re a early riser, you just may spot wild life feeding in the yard. Also under the rear deck area there is a ping pong table, portal basket ball hoop (bring your ball) corn hole game and large Jenga game and a fire pit is in the front yard. Sunset Marina & beach within 7 min drive. You wont want to leave this tranquil cozy cabin, very serene! Enjoy your stay!

And there isn't really room for the kitchen table, but that's ok because we ate every meal out on the back porch!! Driveway was easy to back the boat into which was a plus. Kylie’s Cove is an adorable two bedroom bath and a half remodeled home that is a mile from the Cove Creek recreation area. The Cove Creek recreation area has a free boat launch, restrooms, and grill and picnic areas.
The house has an open floor plan. The kitchen and bathrooms have granite countertops.
There is a large patio outback with wood-burning chimney and a hot tub. It’s a great space for entertaining.
There are two bedrooms with a bath in between the two. One bedroom has a king bed. The other has a full bed.
And there is a half bath off the living room. The laundry room is also off of the living room.
In the kitchen there is a dining table with space for six. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and pots and pans.
The bathrooms are stocked with towels. And don’t worry about bringing bed linens they are provided.
Quiet peaceful setting. No neighbors.
I do not allow pets of any kind. My daughter is highly allergic.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cabin is perfect to experience the remote quiet life in the country yet it is only 6 miles to the nearest town of Byrdstown TN which is absolutely charming. It still has the southern hospitality in which we all love and endure. This cabin is less than 11 miles from the prestigous Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina where there is a multitude of water activities to do including a sandy beach area at the Obey River Recreation Area.

The cabin can comfortably sleep 4 people with a full size bed and a twin bunkbed. The kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, electric 2 burner cooktop, convection toaster over, microwave and full size fridge. It has a full bathroom with a stand up shower. The outside deck has chairs to lounge along with a fire pit and grill. There is an orchard next to the cabin if you want to enjoy some fruit when they are in season. Its a great place to enjoy the great outdoors and see the stars at night!

This rental has a lot to offer in the country and is close to several points of interest. If you have a boat or want to rent a boat, check out Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina. This is where Luke Bryan shot his video "Sunrise, Sunburn and Sunset". It is absolutely gorgeous there. If you like waterfalls there are 9 major waterfalls all within 1 hour driving time. Some are as close as 30 minutes away. Big South Fork and Pickett Park are some of the more popular parks but there are more around. There are several restaurants, shops and a grocery store within 8 miles. - "This was a great cabin in the country. It was so quiet and relaxing. The sky was beautiful with the stars shining bright and the sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. This cabin is in the country with a short drive to the town of byrdstown. Everyone waves at you driving and talks to you in town. You can feel the southern hospitality every where you go. It’s like going back in time to how things used to be where everyone was nice and appreciated each other. Tracy was a great host and left us a basket of snack food. We enjoyed them and enjoyed the fire table at night. It was a really great trip and I can’t wait to go back in the spring and summer to go hiking at the local parks and fishing at the lake."

We have noticed that if you are using the heater it is best to keep the ceiling fan on as it will get hot in the lofts but the fan evens it out.

You can control fan speed and light by the remote control on top of the refrigerator.

There is a guide book on the refrigerator on how to control the split unit heater/air conditioner. If it is in auto mode the remote seems like it doesn’t work, this is because you can’t change the temp in auto mode. Refer to the manual for the remote.

Sleeps 6-8. The home is perfect for families and groups heading to the lake! It's less than a mile to the water at Eagle Cove Marina. 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms - 1 King bed, and 2 Queen beds and we also have two single fold away beds available on request. The kitchen is fully equipped with service for 10 and includes toaster, microwave, standard coffee maker, silverware, plates, and glassware. The huge deck is excellent for a card game or hanging out with friends and family. Wifi available

The space
The house is great because it's quiet, wooded, very close to the marina (less than 2 minutes down the hill), and has all the comforts of home. There are four houses on the street besides ours, so it's very secluded. Our housekeeper (Wanda) is the very best of the best and almost every review speaks of how immaculate she keeps the house! We try to keep available all the little things you may forget. We hope you enjoy the lake every day but have a nice inviting home to relax and unwind when you get off the water.

The home is a 90 second drive down the hill to Eagle Cove Marina, 10 minutes from Starpoint Marina, and 15 minutes from Sunset Marina. Dale Hollow Golf Course is on the North Side of the lake (a little further drive). The Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park and the HUGE CAVE is about 7 minutes from the home. It's a 5 star, 55 acre state park that includes a museum and caves that are free for visitors to explore! (Google Bunkham Cave). There are 4 homestyle restaurants and diners within 15 minutes of the house.

Cedar Ridge caters not only to lake lovers but also nature lovers and people just looking for a comfortable place to kick back and relax. It is an absolutely beautiful area year round. We are dog friendly but there is an additional $10 a night fee for pets. We do ask they stay off furniture and bedding.

The trail to the Left of the cabin is the property line. Do Not venture to the left of that trail. It is marked no trespassing. There are loads of trails leading over many acres of the property to the Right of the “lake” trail you are welcome to explore.

Other things to note
This cabin is located in dense Woodland. There Are venomous & non-venomous snakes, although rarely seen. There (Are) coyotes, black bear, bobcat, turkey, deer and many other species of Wild animals. There (Are) Many cliffs and caves that could be dangerous. The visible logging trails are the easiest way around, and safest way to not get disoriented. Adventure at your own risk.

The space
This is a fully finished walkout basement apartment with a huge living area and private entrance. It has one private bedroom that features a queen size bed and one room that has a queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed. There is also a twin over full size futon bunk bed and an additional full size bed on one end of the living area. It has a kitchen with dishes and utensils, a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and two 2 burner hot plates if needed for cooking in pots and pans. The bathroom has a shower.

There is an outdoor table and chairs located right out the front door of this space as well as a grill for your private use.

Other things to note
I do have a large indoor dog. You may hear him bark but he really loves people. Additionally, my mother is elderly and uses a walker to get around. You can hear this down stairs and it sounds a bit like thunder. If this might bother you then you may want to consider another location.

Newly remodeled vintage home located less then 5 minutes from Sunset Marina on Dale Hollow Lake. This centrally located home is just minutes from multiple boat docks and restaurants. This location has a large circle driveway offering plenty of parking for multiple vehicles, boats or trailers.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cabin is perfect to experience the remote quiet life in the country yet it is only 6 miles to the nearest town of Byrdstown TN which is absolutely charming. It still has the southern hospitality in which we all love and endure. This cabin is less than 11 miles from the prestigous Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina where there is a multitude of water activities to do including a sandy beach area at the Obey River Recreation Area.

The space
The cabin can comfortably sleep 4 people with a full size bed and a twin bunkbed. The kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, electric 2 burner cooktop, convection toaster over, microwave and full size fridge. The outside deck has chairs to lounge along with a fire pit and grill. There is an orchard next to the cabin if you want to enjoy some fruit when they are in season. Its a great place to enjoy the great outdoors and see the stars at night!

This rental has a lot to offer in the country and is close to several points of interest. If you have a boat or want to rent a boat, check out Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina. This is where Luke Bryan shot his video "Sunrise, Sunburn and Sunset". It is absolutely gorgeous there. If you like waterfalls there are 9 major waterfalls all within 1 hour driving time. Some are as close as 30 minutes away. Big South Fork and Pickett Park are some of the more popular parks but there are more around. There are several restaurants, shops and a grocery store within 8 miles. I have included more information in the welcome guide in the rental so you can really enjoy the area and hopefully come back to enjoy it more in the future.

This house is surrounded by farmland and woods therefore we may have insects and wildlife on the property. While we take precautions like regular pest control, it is common to see insects like beetles, stinkbugs, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, ticks, chiggers, carpenter bees, water bugs, yellow jackets, no see bugs, etc which are prevalent in this area depending on the season. We also have rare sightings of wildlife like mountain pet dogs, cows, deer, raccoons, squirrels, opossum, wild turkey, field mice, lizards, frogs, snakes etc. While they will usually come and go we just ask that you be aware of your surroundings.

We really want you to be comfortable so if you are not a fan of the country rural setting this home may not be the best option for you.
