- "Great quite place very close to the beach " - "My family and I were SO very excited to find out that this home was EXACTLY as described. Dale and Vicki were very easy to get a hold of and flexible with our needs. Jut a few things to know - You WILL need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access this property as it is about 30 minutes beach driving to and from the main road, and drivers MUST lower their tire pressures when driving on the beach. Not only is this a county ordinance, it will save you from getting stuck (luckily it didn't happen to us!) Anyway, back to the house - it is very quiet and even though not directly on the beach you can still hear and see the ocean from the upper deck. During our visit, we had several visits from "the locals". Frogs were on the lower door greeting us each evening when we returned and on the upper deck in the mornings. One afternoon we were so excited to see a small haram of horses in the back and side yard. They stayed most of the afternoon. You can not go wrong with his home! We will definitely be returning next year!"

- "The property was perfect for our family of 5 and our pup. It had everything you could need in the kitchen and was very clean all around. The hot tub was a plus in the evenings. There were horses on the property nearly every day which was incredible! We parked our car on the beach every day with the provided passes. Bring whatever food you may need unless you have a true 4WD vehicle and have no problem with a 30 min drive on the beach (GPS can lead you onto some softer sand, don’t listen to it once you get to the beach access road, stay straight for 8 miles). Deliveries to this area will come with a typical $100 delivery fee. You can get ice and tshirts at the nearby firehouse. We also found a few ticks which are common in OBX so make sure to check after walking around. Overall great memories made and we will definitely look to come back and rent with this owner again. He was always responsive and very helpful."

While driving up the pristine beach from the end of the paved road in Corolla, you will begin to feel the invigorating sea air and see pelicans, seagulls and the ubiquitous petite sandpipers on the run. Drive over the dune into Carova Beach, where all the roads are sand. When you turn into my driveway for 'Sea-Ya-Round', in Carova Beach you may be surprised to see wild horses there to greet you. Some of the mares may have their cute foals with them. The house which is located in Carova Beach is about eight and a half miles up the beach from the end of the paved highway, Route 12 in Corolla, and is accessible by four wheel drive only.

When you first enter 'Sea-Ya-Round', you will immediately relax and feel the uniqueness of this round house nestled in the dunes. There are two bedrooms on the lower level with a large full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Large windows give wonderful views of the wild horses which meander around to the house almost everyday.

On the main level you will find a king bedroom and another large bathroom with a top-of-the-line washer/dryer. Also on the main level is your fully-equipped kitchen with an island wet bar and a dining area. You can relax and watch high definition television in both the family room and master king bedroom. You will also find a selection of DVD movies and a collection of books.

A stroll out the five foot wide runway to the elevated gazebo, with a new addition of 175 square feet of decking attached to the gazebo, will show you why you chose to have your vacation at 'Sea-Ya-Round' in Carova Beach. You will see spectacular views up and down the beach, feel the cool breezes and witness the wonders of the pelicans' flight as they glide by at your eye level. Suddenly, all the stresses of your life will disappear! Take a glass of wine and watch and savor the views for hours from the gazebo or the new decking. In the evening have your dinner in the gazebo, or on the deck and enjoy the spectacular blazing sunsets.

You will want to spend the night in the gazebo!

Awake to the wild mustangs having their morning fill of sea oats, so why not join them for breakfast in the gazebo? You can enjoy the glistening morning surf, and watch the ocean with its abundance of sea life frolicking in the morning lull. The views will be mesmerizing as you sip your morning coffee.

Direct access to Carova Beach is reached by steps from the gazebo down to the beach. Your cares will vanish while strolling along the beach perhaps looking for unusual shells or other treasures from the sea. End your day relaxing in the round hot tub. Turn off all the lights so you may take in the beautiful night skies with shooting stars. All this and more is yours while you are staying in beautiful Carova Beach and 'Sea Ya Round'.

There are many other things to do while staying in Carova Beach such as taking a hike in the False Cape State Park. This is located about 1.5 miles north of the house.

The park kiosk has a flier that will show you where walking trails are located throughout the park. There is a pristine, undisturbed beach where only nature abounds. Surf fishing is always a fun thing to do, and who knows, you may catch fresh fish for your dinner. While you fish, you can watch the seagulls and pelicans fish for their dinner. A fishing permit is required.

If you have the desire to go off the beach to the south, you will find many wonderful restaurants with all types of cuisine. Visit the shops in Corolla and Timbuck II shopping area, and don't forget to tour the restored Whale Head Club, the Currituck Lighthouse and finally the new (FREE) Wildlife Museum, which are all located together in Corolla. Driving further south will offer more to see - such as the Wright National Memorial Park where flight began in 1903, and the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo.

But, the best place to be is at 'Sea Ya Round' in Carova Beach!

- "Sea Ya Round is the perfect place to enjoy nature at its best! The location is second to none! We were there to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday, with my sister and brother in law. The set up of the house is perfect and has everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Just bring your groceries and relax! We woke up on our first day to the magnificent wild horses (5 of them) right on the dune near the gazebo. We saw them everyday whether they were in the yard, on the beach or on the road when we walked around. We also saw dolphins right out in front of us, a sea turtle, an eagle enjoying a fresh fish and deer paid us a visit. The house is also a 2 mile walk to the Virginia line. We enjoyed that walk as well. This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and it we are looking forward to visiting again! The Jacksons, CT"

- "Great location for nice relaxing stay! House was very clean and comfortable. Good outside spots too! We used the screened porch the most to catch the breeze. We saw horses everyday and dolphins in the ocean in the morning and evenings - it was a great treat! One thing I would do for next time would be to make sure to have food for the first night and next morning before arriving to the house after a long day of travel to avoid having to go out on the beach road again the first night we got there. Hope we can visit again soon!"

We have lots of multi-position comfortable beach chairs. We provide our own high quality sheets and towels, but you must bring your own beach towels and beach gear. You are allowed to drive on the beach, bring all of your stuff and even park on the beach for the day. Paper goods, dish and laundry detergent, spices, shampoo, lotion, soap and many more items supplied with rental. Cooking utensils and appliances supplied. We are less than a two-minute walk over the dune to the beach, approx. 100 yds using our easement. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from our great room. Great ocean views throughout the house.

- "This house is even better in person. The woodwork throughout the house, nice furnishings, and art made it feel extra luxury. It is quite clear that the owners love it and maintain it well. Great views from the deck , the kids loved the big pool, and it was fun to see horses amble through the property. To get to the beach we walked through a vacant lot and over the dunes, or drove our truck out. The beach was busier than I anticipated with traffic , and making sure the little ones in our group didn’t walk out in front of a car every time they wanted to get a bucket of water was a little unnerving. The beach is great for boogie boarding. Owner communication was plentiful and prompt, and when we had a mishap with the storm blowing the hot tub cover off and breaking a pipe there was help out immediately. I will say all owner communication, even the welcome letter, had an air of disdain and annoyance to it. The owner texted asking why the hot tub cover wasn’t latched down (it wasn’t latched when we arrived at the house, I wasn’t aware it needed to be) and to “use common sense,”a phrase also echoed in the welcome letter. I try to put myself in their shoes renting out a house they are quite attached to, and I’m sure it IS annoying. I probably wouldn’t want to do it! But the house is great, and we had a great time!"

What fun to use the outdoor telescope in this lovely semi-oceanfront (2nd row) home, situated in a very quiet section of the 4x4 beach. Located just 7 miles north of the end of the hard road and nestled between two wildlife preserves, your shoulders will drop as soon as you pull in. The serenity on this part of the beach is amazing. Watch the breakers from the nicely stocked kitchen in this reverse floor plan home. You may even see some brown pelicans fly by as you sip your coffee. Spend your morning on the screened in porch watching the wild horses. You may also spot foxes, bunnies, deer or black hogs. (They are here but are elusive!) Wildlife abounds on the beach as well with all kinds of bird and fish, shellfish and mollusks. Shelling is a favorite pastime, not to mention fishing and swimming. Leashed pets are allowed on the beach so you can bring your dog and enjoy the day. Setting up is easy since you will be able to take your gear to the beach in your car. You can even park on the beach and use it as a base of operation. Two beach parking passes are provided for guest use... so no extra expense with our homes!! Forgot something? … no worries, since the house is just steps away.

Everything is better at the beach, including sleeping! Two of the three bedrooms have memory foam queen beds, flat screen smart tv’s and private access to the second level deck. The third bedroom has a flat screen smart tv and a duo-bunk bed (double bed lower and twin bed upper, also memory foam). This home has plenty of room for a small family, but will also suit for a couple who just need to get away from it all.

If you are not familiar with Carova Beach, you will be enchanted with the excitement of driving on the beach, witnessing wildlife in its natural habitat and being separated from the masses.
