We purchased this hidden gem a few years ago with multi-family getaways in mind. Situated across from the lake with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, gathering spaces on each level, a patio in back and deck out front, large families and/or groups of friends can comfortably stay here. We have hosted many family reunions, including our own, since opening up this home to lake vacationers. So many memories have been made through the years. What happens at the lake, stays at the lake is our motto!
The kitchen is fully stocked for creating meals together. All linens, paper products, soaps and shampoo, hair dryers and fans are provided. Truly, all you have to do is pack a bag! Enjoy the convenience of a washer and dryer, as well as 2 smart TVs for all your streaming needs.
Each day you can walk to the popular State Park beach, take the kids to the nearby park, or check out all Clear Lake has to offer. Relax in the evening watching beautiful sunsets over the lake. The lower level is a wonderful hangout spot. It features a foosball table, game playing table, tv area, 2nd kitchen with built in bar and walk out patio with grill, fire pit,(wood provided) and flower garden. We have yard and board games, kid's bikes, stroller, wagon, large rolling cooler, beach toys and towels, so there's no need to pack all that! The main floor has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, and a bathroom with tub and shower if there is anyone in your group unable to manage a lot of stairs.
The driveway has ample space for a truck and boat trailer, and a boat ramp is 2 minutes down the road for quick and easy access.

This completely renovated cabin, conveniently located on the South Shore, features a gorgeous lake view both inside and out. These spacious bedrooms will ensure your family and friends feel right at home. The living room has comfy new furniture and opens to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need, including a Keurig coffee-maker. Bed linens and towels are also provided. Also included is high speed cable WiFi, premium high-def digital cable with On-Demand service, flat screen TV in living room with Blu-Ray. An Amana washer and dryer is also available and is on the main level.

Our home is close to South Shore attractions such as PM Park, the Market, and Clear Lake boats, and is just a short drive to the Clear Lake downtown area. We’re sure you’ll enjoy the beauty, charm and convenience of our lovely lake home!

This is a vintage 1890 home with five large bedrooms on the second floor and one bedroom on the first floor. One bathroom on the main floor and two bathrooms on the second floor that are separate from any bedrooms.
We recently added a queen sized bed to the first floor for those who prefer to avoid the stairs. We also have a fold out couch in the Fireplace room. So we now have six bedrooms all with blackout shades that can sleep 18 guests.

One bedroom on the second floor is a family friendly with a queen size bed, a trundle bed that makes into a double bed or it can be used as a single bed if needed and crib. Another second floor bedroom has a queen size and single bed. The other bedrooms have a queen bed and a twin and the two baths are also located on the second floor, one has a full size shower and the other has a tub/ shower combination. The laundry room is also located on the second floor which our guests are welcome to use.

This original home has recently been updated with new roof, new windows and window treatments, new kitchen, 1 new bathroom and laundry. The electrical and plumbing systems have all been replaced. Two new furnaces with central air conditioning.

We want our guests to feel safe, so we have hard wired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. We also have fire extinguishers on each floor.

The guests are provided a unique access code to use on the digital door locks upon arrival and during their stay. We also have a video door bell that will immediately contact us should our guests have a problem accessing the home.

The home is great for family get togethers. Sleeps up to 18. Close to downtown and the lake.

Plenty of off street parking behind the home with easy access to the Kitchen entry.

Nice quiet neighborhood. The library is right next door.

This property had always been owned by the Clausen family since it was built until we purchased it in April 2018. We decided to continue the Clausen name. This is a three generation endeavor with our children and grandchildren.

We continue to update the exterior and the grounds as time and weather permits.

The property also includes a two story schoolhouse built in 1872 that we are working to make into a vacation rental as well. Hopefully this will be available the summer of 2024

The property is a large corner lot with lots of trees which provide shade and a small patio with a small fire pit. In the summer time friendly owls can be heard hooting at dusk.

It a short 2 block walk to main street, and 3 blocks to the Lake.

Our hope is that you will enjoy this home and all the character that it offers along with all the modern conveniences like high speed Wi Fi, new washer and dryer, new dishwasher, coffee maker, new stove, and new refrigerator with ice maker.

It also offers a large screened in porch with wicker furniture and a small back porch with a couple of rocking chairs to relax in.

Avoid crowds by walking to Bayside beach and relax in the sun with the whole family. Within 2 1/2 blocks you will find a boat launch, picnic area, beach, and dock. PM Park, with restaurant, Tiki Bar, beach, and park is just a little farther down the street. The Sweet Spot ice cream is across South Shore Drive.

A boat launch is 2 1/2 blocks at the Bayside beach. State Park is 1.3 miles. It is just off South Shore Drive and has a large park area and beach. City Beach and boat launch is downtown Clear Lake by City Park (2.2 miles). McIntosh State Park is 4.5 miles in Ventura.

There is a private fenced yard area to the side of the house.

Adequate parking on street as well as behind the home. You can park your boat trailer as well. Boat launch is only a few blocks away

**Two closets with the owners' personal belongings are locked.
**We dock-share with our neighbor. The portion of the dock that juts out towards our property is for your use (tie your boat up, fish off of, load and unload the boat, etc).

At first we were a little concerned with the second bathroom in the basement, but it worked out fine. The dishwasher was a huge plus for us, and we enjoyed having the island to prepare meals. My husband was able to do a load of laundry, which made him happy! The home was comfortable, and the location was close to our mother’s. It’s also walkable to the surf, and downtown for some exercise. The neighborhood was quiet except for the occasional train, which we found nostalgic rather than unpleasant. 😊"

Welcome to our comfortable, updated post-WW2 home with oak floors, brick fireplace, remodeled kitchen and baths and a short walk to downtown and the lake. Well established, quiet area with great neighbors! Enjoy relaxing on our large, multi-level, tree-shaded deck with plenty of patio furniture, tiki torches, bbq grill, picnic table and overhead lighting. Private, fenced backyard with fruit trees and nicely manicured vegetation.

The main floor features a master bedroom with queen sized bed, full bath, living/dining area, full kitchen and play room/office with smart TV and pullout couch. Second story has two bedrooms, one with a full size bed and the other with two twin beds.

The basement is finished, with a full bath. Laundry room has modern, front loading washer and dryer, soaps, bleach, iron and ironing board.

Ahoy mates! This 5 bedroom, 3 bath home has a unique pirate ship loft with a cannon and crow's nest, complete with parrots, to add a bit of whimsy to your stay. 13 people can sleep comfortably here, making it easy for multiple families or groups of friends to enjoy. The main level has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, and bathroom with walk-in shower to accomodate anyone in your group unable to manage a lot of stairs. The master suite includes a daybed with trundle, and private bathroom with walk-in shower. Upstairs is another queen bedroom, loft with 3 twin beds, and bathroom with tub and shower.
The patio and firepit are set up to host a crowd, and the garage has been finished as a party space in case it's rainy or you like to enjoy the outdoors during your time at the lake. The home itself is situated on a large lot and offers privacy from neighboring homes.
If you're in town for a Surf Ballroom event, you can easily walk from our door to theirs in just a couple minutes. A bit longer walk, maybe 10 minutes, gets you to the downtown area. If you're here on a Saturday during the summer, the farmer's market is just a block away, and a brand new bowling alley/arcade is also an easy 5 minute stroll. Just across the street are several restaurants, including The Half Moon, an iconic supper club owned by the same family for over 50 years.
We have all the supplies you'll need to enjoy a home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked, making it easy for you to whip up delicious meals. All linens, paper products, soaps, shampoo, hair dryers and fans are provided. Enjoy the convenience of a washer and dryer and 3 smart TVs for all your streaming needs.
