The Red Front building was first constructed circa 1880s. The main floor has housed various businesses over it's nearly 140 year history; from a dry goods store to a tavern and various restaurants. Enjoy delightful views of Mulholland Street from the three large windows overlooking the street in the family room.

The kitchen is stocked with an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, crock-pot, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and everything you should need to cook during your stay. There are the following beds available, 1 king, 2 queens, 2 double, 1 futon, 1 roll-away, 2 floor mats, and a pack-n-play crib.

This genteel old lady was built in 1842 and she has good bones! The house is in the middle of all that historic Nauvoo has to offer, with the added benefit of being across the street from Dollar General and Casey's pizza. As with most old houses, there is one bathroom which is clean and spacious and on the ground floor. All of the furnishings are new. There is a large and inviting living room with plenty of space to spread out. There are three bedrooms - one very large - that are all tastefully furnished and have new mattresses. The biggest bedroom can hold more sleepers if needed. The smallest bedroom (the 'Toblerone' room) is ideal for our littlest guests with its quirky shape and fort-like possibilities. There is an outside deck where you can watch life go by but perhaps not in the winter. There is a laundry room on the main floor. There are two parking spaces at the back. On a more sentimental note, there are some original Nauvoo temple stones incorporated into the building as door lintels and windowsills. A gentle reminder that there is no smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs permitted. Please do not bring your pets. Please note that this is an old house. The stairs are steep and may not suit people who have stability issues and the bedrooms and single bathroom are not on the same floor.

- "We absolutely loved staying in this pioneer house decorated with antiques. It was a very unique experience and my kids thought it was so fun. The modern kitchen and bath amenities and A/C made it very comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful. The only suggestion I have is to change the number of people it sleeps to 5 - two in the master and three in the kids room. If you count the couch downstairs or the blowup mattress or the cot then you could say 6 but I think that would be the max. The little bed in the hall would only work for a toddler."

Stay in a legitimate piece of American history, the Fort Henry log cabin is a nearly 200 year old White Oak log cabin original erected at the trappers outpost of Fort Henry, Missouri about 1830! The town of Fort Henry, named after Dr. Henry Fort, was an active community circa 1817 - 1853. This is a one room log cabin features a wood burning fireplace, with small sitting area, queen sized bed, with a sleeping loft with a queen sized mattress. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and gas grill! a composting toilet outhouse, and outdoor heated shower, completes the pioneer log cabin experience!! Running water is usually turned of during the winter months DEC-MAR but bottled water is provided for washing up, brushing teeth, etc. pets are welcome with a $30 pet fee required.

It is a beautiful,modern five bedroom and six bathroom home with sleeping accommodations to sleep up to 20 people. It has a fully furnished kitchen and laundry facilities. The game room with foosball table, air hockey table & TV with DVD player are located in the basement. A flat screen HD TV with DVD player is in the living room. Wi-fi internet. Although we do not provide traditional cable TV, we do provide ROKU’s with apps like Netflix, Prime, HULU, etc. Feel free to use these services with your own login & enjoy. Just a reminder to logout of any apps you might have used before you leave.

Situated along the banks of the Mighty Mississippi just a short drive from Nauvoo, IL, this cute cabin is just the place for you if your ideal day consists of exploring outdoors during the day and resting your weary head at night. Nestled in the middle of nature, this cozy, non-smoking cabin is small, but it has everything you will need including a fully equipped kitchen and full-sized bathroom. You will feel like you are camping, but with more amenities including a new window air conditioning unit. The cabin can comfortably sleep four people, but it will accommodate up to six on the new mattresses and couches. If the steep driveway is a problem, you are welcome to park at the bottom of the hill.

Because there is no TV or internet, you will have plenty of time to explore the grounds. As long as the Mississippi River is not too high, you can spend the day on the beach. Be sure to look for eagles because there is a bald eagle's nest nearby. If you simply want to relax with a good book while the kids play and explore, you will be able to do that on the new deck. With Nauvoo being so close, you could also explore the many attractions in town before heading back to the peaceful riverfront setting. At night, enjoy building a bonfire on the beach using the occasional driftwood that washes up when the river is high.

This is an uninsulated cabin in the woods. More like camping than a hotel. Please look through all the pictures before booking. If you have dust, mold, or pollen allergies and would not camp outside because of them this will not work for you.

- "Beautiful cabin with a great view. Hostess Rebecca is wonderful to work with." - "When I stayed here the rental was around $50 on a weekday, plus the cleaning fee. This I think is priced correctly for what it is. You are paying for the location right on the Mississippi with a private beach. The cabin is modest, and will meet basic needs but is by no means going to be a luxury rental. If you set your expectations to the description, you will not be disappointed. Had this cabin been priced over $100 a night I might have given a different star rating. What the cabin is like: Small, but liveable. We were going to have 4 people stay but ended up we only had 2. Cabin was PLENTY big for two people. 4 might have been a little bit crowded but there is PLENTY of outdoor space... so perhaps not. The cabin has a full (but small) kitchen. Sink, microwave, fridge and stove. I didn't ever find an oven mitt - so I used a towel when I reheated some food in the oven. Had basic silverware and plates, pots and pans. I wish there would have been tin foil on hand, but no big deal! No laundry at this cabin. There is a shower tub combo in the bathroom, there is a set of bunkbeds on one end of the cabin and a full size bed on the other. A couch could also serve as a bed, and there is an empty loft area, that could be slept in if you had an air mattress handy. The window air conditioner will keep the cabin cool unless it's sweltering out. Didn't make too much noise - was pleasantly surprised. Door locks and unlocks with a code, felt very secure here. no issues! There are no curtains on the front windows of the cabin that face the river. This was no big deal since no houses are in the way and no one drove down the road, very remote location after all. There were curtains on the sides of the cabin to block the view of any neighbors. We did find some random bugs in the cabin, but this was not unexpected. You are in the middle of nowhere and it's bound to happen. I was surprised there were not more actually. There is a fire pit and I wished I would have had chairs along I would have enjoyed that - perhaps next time. For those less squeamish, there were some deck chairs on the porch and plastic chairs in the yard but, they were covered in spiders and cobwebs, so I didn't want to clear them off. Took a nice walk in the evening and at sunrise down the road, absolutely great! There was even a small waterfall just up the road that was really nice."

Besides the wonderful historic sites which are wonderful to visit, we love to golf at Deer Run just a few minutes away from our home, swim and play frisbee golf at the community park/pool in Hamilton, eat out at Angelini's in Keokuk, enjoy a fire at night overlooking the river, watch some amazing sunsets, go fishing, watch movies, play games, bird watching etc.

BEDS/ BATH: There are 4 bedrooms, all on the 2nd floor; two with queen size beds and two with bunk beds. The home has a full bathroom on the 2nd floor & a powder room (toilet) on the 1st floor.

KITCHEN/ DINING: Full kitchen with dishwasher, perfect for cooking family meals. Separate Dining room.

BASEMENT: Games room in basement with table tennis, arcade games & TV w/streaming and Games, great for kids & adults alike to hang out and enjoy. Washer & Dryer are in the basement. NOTE: There is locked owners storage in both the basement and attic, these are labelled. There is no guest access to these areas.

PARKING/ ENTRY: Plenty of off street parking for 3-4 vehicles in the gravel driveway. The homestead is on 2 acres of grassy gardens, great for playing/ relaxing. All home doors have Schlage pin code Locks for self-check-in entry.

SECURITY: We have Ring Door Bells in use on all external doors, in regular use whilst guests are at the property. We also have external security cameras located on our garage and side door, both facing the driveway, in regular use. Please do not alter, remove or turn off any of these devices, they are for both guests and hosts protection.

Welcome to our very own White House. This charming little place was built in 1925 and has retained all of its original Craftsman style. It has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. It also has what we lovingly refer to as the ¼ bathroom down stairs. There is a full sized and well stocked kitchen, with attached dining room and a comfortably furnished living room. There is a desk to one side for those who need to bring a little work along on the trip. There are 2 queen beds and 1 full bed. There are also two fold away mattresses. This place comfortably sleeps 8 people. All of the beds and bedding are new and of a high quality. This place is in the downtown Nauvoo district and is minutes away from all of the historical sites. You can walk to the temple and take it all in. It is a block from the Dollar General and Casey’s gas station.

Unit is on top floor, so you need to climb stairs to get to the apartment. We enjoyed watching the fireflies from the upper balcony at night. Place looked just like the pictures. We would stay here again."

You will have 6300 sq ft of space that sleeps 80 people in 11 sleeping spaces, with a total of 9 bathrooms. 300 of these sq ft--one of the sleeping spaces--is a detached original YMCA camp cabin that has been fully remodeled with electricity and heating/cooling.

The large dining room accommodates 80.

The large kitchen is equipped with 2 sinks, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 microwaves, 2 large fridges & pantries (second pantry downstairs), and all the cooking/eating gear you could need. Small propane grill on the balcony just outside the dining room.

Lots of puzzles and games in an upstairs cabinets. Ping-pong table, pool table, foosball table, and lots of toys in the downstairs play areas.

River-front property for your gatherings and water fun is included, with: fire pit, large grassy area, shade trees, and small beach. S'mores and lightning-bug capturing can be a nightly activity (lots of on-site wood for your fire)! Several watercrafts (Jon boat rated for 8 people, Hobie catamaran sail boat, 2 kayaks, 2 vintage aluminum canoes, 2 inflatable boats, several inner tubes) available on site for rent. Several life jackets (20), camp chairs (12), & s'mores sticks (8) available for your use.

With the double stoves it made it so easy to cook for our huge family. Their were plenty of bathrooms for all of us to use without having to wait. On our first night there was a very bad storm which knocked out the power. We messaged Phil and Heidi and they quickly got back to us with a response from the power company and for a solution for our bathroom needs. Overall we really liked this place and will more than likely go back and will definitely recommend to our friends."

The Temple-Hill Studio is in a residential area of Nauvoo and can be rented only by the month (i.e. 30+days). It has a private outside entrance and is superbly located one block north of the Nauvoo Temple. Temple Hill Studio is ideal for attending the Temple and Family History Center, and for professionals working locums at local hospitals and clinics. It is best suited for one person, possibly 2. The Studio is in the first level of the historic home.

The space
Private outside entrance down six steps to the ground level of the circa 1850 3-story addition made using original Nauvoo Temple stone. This private studio was recently completely renovated, and has a full bathroom with tub & shower, microwave & fridge, and trundle bed (two twin beds). Upstairs access is locked between upstairs home and guest-suite This is a great location, located in a residential park like setting.

The White House Inn was built in the 1850s, now rec ently updated. Centrally located in Nauvoo within walking distance of all venues. The Inn has three suites with private, full bathroom. The main floor has a full kitchen with pancake fixings on hand for breakfast. Guests share the kitchen facilities.

The space
The White House Inn, Smith Suite, is roomy and has a comfortable queen bed with a private bathroom. The kitchen is shared with other guests.

Please let us know beforehand if you plan on bringing pets. There is an extra cleaning fee of $30 for pets. If pets are snuck in it will be an additional $50 fee
Any booking longer then 10 days will be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee. However, we will provide fresh linens and towels approximately half way through your stay.

We provide approximately three days worth of paper goods and toiletries such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

No large gatherings or youth groups with out permission. There will be an additional $250 fee for any such event.

Stay in a legitimate piece of American history, the Fort Henry log cabin is a nearly 200 year old White Oak log cabin original erected at the trappers outpost of Fort Henry, Missouri about 1830! Features outdoor hot water shower which is turn off during winter months (Dec 1st - Apr 1st) also outdoor composting toilet. You've rented the main part of our home. You will have access to the washer and dryer which is in the door passed the kitchen. There is a studio apartment attached to the home that you won't have access to unless you book that seperately. Please only park two cars back to back in the driveway and leave the other side for guests in the studio. If you have more than two cars you can park them on the left side of the home up to the fence at the end of the property line.

The detached garage/apartment east of the house is a private residence with shared access to the yard.

*Please use the correct number of anticipated guests when making a booking request in order to get an accurate booking cost for the Rufus Abbott Manor. Our pricing consists of a base price and then $15 per person/night after 2 guests. The pricing is set this way so that the entire house can be reasonably available for a couple or small group, instead of only having a higher base price reflective of a larger house that accommodates bigger groups. Overnight guests must be on the booking. Guest must confirm number of overnight guests the week prior to their stay.

*The detached garage is a private resident. They will be using the east side of the driveway (side closest to the field) and will also have access to the yard.

This genteel old lady was built in 1842 by Stephen Hales - and she has good bones! The house is in the middle of all that historic Nauvoo has to offer with the added benefit of being across the street from Dollar General and Casey's Pizza. As with most old houses there is one bathroom which is clean and spacious and on the ground floor. There is a large and inviting living room, with plenty of space to spread out.

Living areas of the home are all on the ground level, including a living room, kitchen with dining table, laundry room, bathroom and extra sleeping area. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, two with queen sized beds and one with 3 twin sized beds. One of these twin beds is a trundle bed. The space
Three bedrooms, a full kitchen, and two full bathrooms, accommodating up to eleven guests.

The kitchen, dining (including a bar area with natural lighting & views) & living room are an open space for large gatherings with family & friends, this includes an outdoor sitting area and plenty of land for kids to run around & play.

Guest access
The entire home inside & the grass area are available. Garage & fruit stand are not available for guest access.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The Porter Rockwell Home in Nauvoo is the perfect place to stay for a family vacation. With three bedrooms and two baths, the home can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people. The home is conveniently located a short drive from Nauvoo's restaurants, shops, parks, and museums.

The space
This magnificent three-bed, two-bath home has all the room for large family gatherings with plenty of parking for several vehicles. Nestled among picturesque farmland, it's close enough to downtown that convenience isn't a problem. There's also outdoor space for running about and enjoying the fresh air. This property is an ideal choice for anyone looking for both relaxation and proximity to city life.

Any booking longer then 10 days will be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee. However, we will provide fresh linens and towels approximately half way through your stay.

We provide approximately three days worth of paper goods and toiletries such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

No large gatherings or youth groups with out permission. There will be an additional $250 fee for any such event.

The space
The Cottage is well equipped with 7 beds and room for all your guests. The first floor includes 2 master suits that each have a queen bed with their own bathroom, and the upstairs loft includes 5 beds (4 of which are twin size & 1 that is a queen size) & a full bathroom with enough room to set up 2 full size air mattresses, provided by us, to maximize room for all of the family. The loft is an open area upstairs with no bedrooms.

This is a 2 bedroom apartment with a sitting room that has 1 queen pull out sofa bed and a futon bed. This is counted a the 3rd bedroom. It has one bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen. The apartment t is on the 2nd floor of the building above the Nauvoo Emporium Quilt shop. There is 1 flight of stairs to get to the apartment. The entrance to the apartment is on the east side of the building. There is parking provided in the back of the building. Please contact the owner if you have e any questions.
