We have 5 acres of rolling hills and hardwood forest, directly on 400' of waterfront. Plenty of space to let the kids and pets run around! Only 45 minutes from Charlotte, but worlds away from the hustle and bustle.

Moss Lake is a quiet, spring-fed lake that is very clean (it’s the primary water supply for Kings Mountain) where you can canoe, fish, water ski and jet ski without the mayhem of other lakes near Charlotte. Close to Kings Mountain, Historic Shelby, Crowders Mountain, Schiele Museum, golf courses AND other attractions - there is plenty to do if you want to get out and about.

The waterfront includes a large private dock with mooring cleats, only a few minutes from a public landing so getting your boat there is a breeze! With state-record bass, it’s perfect for early morning anglers; with stunning views, it’s also perfect for a sunset canoe or kayak ride (both are available for your use). Or, kick into high gear with your jet ski or power boat. Whatever your pleasure, you’ll enjoy your water sports away from the crowds for a relaxing and fun experience.

The house has three nice-sized bedrooms: one king bed, one double bed, and a third bedroom with bunk beds for the children. The cozy den has a television with basic cable. The eat-in kitchen contains all cookware, utensils, and kitchenware, and all linens and towels are supplied. There is a large, centrally located bath with a double vanity and tub with shower.

However, one of the most outstanding amenities is outside the home, situated on a quiet road in a peaceful community. The deck off the kitchen presents pictorial views of the woods and surrounding pastures.

Perhaps one of the best features is the private deck overlooking the pasture, which provides an outdoor living and dining area to take advantage of Shelby's wonderful climate. Whether for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, you will also enjoy the gas grill in the evening as you watch horses and deer and listen to the Katydid singing in the woods.

Historic Kings Mountain has train tracks, which adds to the charm of the neighborhood and the train can be heard from time to time. While it doesn't seem to be a nuisance, we feel it prudent to mention it here.

Large, private home tucked away on 5 acres in a great, tree lined neighborhood in the heart of Shelby.
This newly renovated home has 6 bedrooms total with 2 bedrooms on the main level. There's a beautiful master king bedroom filled with windows and an ensuite bathroom (freestanding tub and a tiled shower). There's also a queen sleeper sofa in the bedroom. The other bedroom has a full size bed and a chair that opens into a twin size futon.
The main level has a kitchen, large dining area, living room (2 queen sofa beds), a room with a pool table/ ping pong table combo or you can use it as a dining table. On the main level there's also a sitting area with a TV and another huge living room that we call the pool room because it comes right off the pool deck and has a kitchenette, full bathroom, a TV, and both sofas open up to queen sized beds.
Upstairs you'll find another master king bedroom (also a chair that opens to a twin futon) with a brand new ensuite bathroom consisting of a beautiful tiled shower and a freestanding bathtub.
Down the hall there are 2 king bedrooms (each with a chair that opens into a twin futon) and a bunk bed room with trundle (3 twins). These bedrooms share a hallway bathroom with a shower.
There's a huge yard with plenty of room for the kids to play. You are very close to uptown Shelby, the Cleveland Country Club, fairgrounds, or drive 45 minutes to Charlotte or 1.25 hours to Asheville .
You're in the middle of town, but tucked away on 5 acres of wooded land.

*Please note- We have installed a new pool liner but the pool deck itself needs a lot of work, so please know ahead of time that the pool deck has areas of discoloration and uneven concrete.

This home includes a master loft suite upstairs with amazing bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and large double sink vanity. The queen room is on the main floor with a full bathroom right outside the bedroom door.

KITCHEN

The kitchen is super spacious and fully stocked with a island that has bar stools so people can socialize with using the kitchen. Please place dishes in dishwasher on departure and start them. The light switch to the right of sink (the middle one) operates the dishwasher.

LIVING AREA

The house is an open type floor plan area with kitchen, living room and dinning room. Windows wall length to enjoy all the wonderful scenery the home has to offer. Gas Fire place to enjoy in the colder months.

WIRELESS INTERNET

You have access to the WIFI, however the internet may be slower or drop out due to being in a more secluded area.

BALCONY

This home has multiple balconies for you to enjoy your morning coffee while viewing all the nature. The top level deck is located off of the Master Suite. The second level deck is located off the kitchen and has plenty of seating, as well as a large gas grill to assist with any cooking you want to do.

The fully stocked and well equipped kitchen has all of the amenities you need to cook and serve a full meal. There are 12 sets of dishes, silverware, wine glasses, chopsticks, and steak knives, plus kid-friendly dishes and silverware, in addition to necessities for baking, cooking, and serving meals.

The kitchen boasts a traditional drip coffee maker, with coffee and filters, as well as a Keurig and K-cups. You’ll also find sugar packets and creamer pods. There is also an electric water kettle.

Each guest is provided with a wrapped, new dish sponge, dishwasher pods, dish soap, and hand soap.

The living room has plenty of natural light, and the wi-fi is fast. It’s a comfortable spot to use your laptop. There is a dedicated laptop desk in the living room, with surge protector cord and comfortable desk chair, or sit on the leather couch!

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. It holds a hairdryer for your use. Guest amenities include travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and wrapped soap, as well as hand soap and toilet paper. The new, fluffy towels are stored in the bedroom closets.

The bedrooms have alarm clocks with USB chargers for your phones. Just bring your cord!

The bed linens are all white, and are all new. Bedroom #1 has a queen-sized Purple mattress. Bedroom #2 has a queen-sized Casper mattress. Bedroom #3 has two twin beds (a daybed with a trundle). The driveway for this home is on the left of the house front. Pull all the way down to park in the private parking area behind the home. The private parking area is separated from the private parking area for Apartment #2 by a grassy lawn. Please do not use the driveway or parking area for Apartment #2.

There is also plenty of on-street parking for overflow.

Other things to note:
This is a non-smoking home. Events (such as baby showers or professional meetings) may be allowed, depending on the size of the event. No “parties”. Please reach out to me to clarify your event if you have something in mind.

The fully stocked and well equipped kitchen has all of the amenities you need to cook and serve a full meal. The kitchen boasts a traditional drip coffee maker, with coffee and filters, as well as a Keurig and K-cups. You’ll also find sugar packets and creamer pods. There is also an electric water kettle.

The living room has plenty of natural light, and the wi-fi is fast. It’s a comfortable spot to use your laptop. There is a dedicated laptop desk in the living room, with comfortable desk chair, or sit on the leather couch!

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. It holds a hairdryer for your use. Guest amenities include travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and wrapped soap, as well as hand soap and toilet paper. The new, fluffy towels are stored in the bedroom closets.

The bedrooms have alarm clocks with USB chargers for your phones. Just bring your cord!

The bed linens are all white, and are all new. Bedroom #1 has a new queen-sized mattress. Bedroom #2 has a new queen-sized mattress. Bedroom #3 has two twin beds (a daybed with a trundle). The home sleeps six guests in beds, plus an additional two guests on our comfortable pull-out sofa bed in the livingroom. For the littlest guests there is also a foldable travel crib in the closet.

Each bedroom has room-darkening curtains + window blinds, oscillating floor fans and sound machines for maximum sleeping comfort.

Each bedroom closet also contains fluffy towel sets, velvet hangers, extra blankets, and luggage racks for your use.

The two primary bedrooms each have a full length mirror for your convenience!

Each window in the home has blinds for privacy and room darkening. All windows except the bathroom and kitchen also have room-darkening curtains.

The bunk room has a twin built in bunk beds with reading light in the bunk. There is also a queen Murphey bed in the living room area.

LIVING ROOM AREA

The living room has a Custom slate pool table (which cannot be moved, it was set up on site), arcade machine, large flat screen SMART TV with streaming capabilities mounted above the fireplace, bar with seating, comfortable seating for lounging, and Murphey bed in the wall.

KITCHENETTE

Welcome to Mountain Bliss Retreat located in Kings Mountain, NC. This 2BR/2BA home is off the road in a beautiful setting of wooded acres to explore. This property also sides up to Crowder Mountain State Park. The home is subdivided into two parts with what is pictured in this listing and an apartment type space below. No living space is shared, both have totally separate parking and entrances.

This home is nestled between Charlotte and Asheville for anyone wanting to visit both places.

This home includes a master loft suite upstairs with amazing bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and large double sink vanity. The queen room is on the main floor with a full bathroom right outside the bedroom door.


KITCHEN

The kitchen is super spacious and fully stocked with a island that has bar stools so people can socialize with using the kitchen. Please place dishes in dishwasher on departure and start them. The light switch to the right of sink (the middle one) operates the dishwasher.


LIVING AREA

The house is an open type floor plan area with kitchen, living room and dinning room. Windows wall length to enjoy all the wonderful scenery the home has to offer. Gas Fire place to enjoy in the colder months.

You have access to the WIFI, however the internet may be slower or drop out due to being in a more secluded area.


BALCONY

This home has multiple balconies for you to enjoy your morning coffee while viewing all the nature. The top level deck is located off of the Master Suite. The second level deck is located off the kitchen and has plenty of seating, as well as a large gas grill to assist with any cooking you want to do.

C. Owners must agree to follow house rules regarding PETS, acknowledging having read fully, and agree to follow as stated prior to booking - including the following:

a. The understanding and agreement that owners will be asked to cover any cost to repair all pet damages if incurred.

Guests have full access to the entire home, including both bedrooms, two bathrooms (one ensuite), the kitchen, living and dining areas, laundry area, the large front yard, fenced-in backyard, and both porches (each with gates). The only off-limits areas are the storage building and enclosed trailer in the backyard, one closet, and one room inside the home.

The fully stocked and well equipped kitchen has all of the amenities you need to cook and serve a full meal. There are 12 sets of dishes, silverware, wine glasses, chopsticks, and steak knives, plus kid-friendly dishes and silverware, in addition to necessities for baking, cooking, and serving meals.

The kitchen boasts a traditional drip coffee maker, with coffee and filters, as well as a Keurig and K-cups. You’ll also find sugar packets and creamer pods. There is also an electric water kettle.

Each guest is provided with a wrapped, new dish sponge, dishwasher pods, dish soap, and hand soap.

Just off the kitchen is a laundry closet with new washer and dryer. Laundry pods are located under the sink.

The dining table seats six without any extensions. It has two additional leaves and there are two comfortable, upholstered-seat wooden folding chairs in the closet, so you can comfortably serve dinner for eight. Kid-friendly dishes are also included.

The dining room and living room, while separate, are open to each other and have great flow. You can easily linger together in both rooms after a delicious meal.

The living room has a Samsung Smart TV with 200 streaming channels. You can also log in to your Amazon Prime or Netflix account to stream your favorite movies and shows!

The living room has plenty of natural light, and the wi-fi is fast. It’s a comfortable spot to use your laptop. There is a dedicated laptop desk in the living room, with surge protector cord and comfortable desk chair, or sit on the leather couch!

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. It holds a hairdryer for your use. Guest amenities include travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and wrapped soap, as well as hand soap and toilet paper. The new, fluffy towels are stored in the bedroom closets.

The bedrooms have alarm clocks with USB chargers for your phones. Just bring your cord!

The bed linens are all white, and are all new. Bedroom #1 has a queen-sized Purple mattress. Bedroom #2 has a queen-sized Casper mattress. Bedroom #3 has two twin beds (a daybed with a trundle). The home sleeps six guests in beds, but for the littlest guests there is also a Pack and Play with special PNP sheets in the closet.

Each bedroom has room-darkening curtains + window blinds, oscillating floor fans and sound machines for maximum sleeping comfort.

The driveway for this home is on the left of the house front. Pull all the way down to park in the private parking area behind the home. The private parking area is separated from the private parking area for Apartment #2 by a grassy lawn. Please do not use the driveway or parking area for Apartment #2.

There is also plenty of on-street parking for overflow.
