The lovely town of Burford occupies a position on the meandering River Windrush. Burford is built on a fairly steep hill, and the view from the top of the hill looking down the High Street to the river is one of the classic panoramas of the Cotswolds. A lovely 4-arched medieval bridge, widened in the 18th century, crosses the Windrush, and though Burford itself does not occupy the northern bank, a walk across the bridge is rewarded by wonderful views across watermeadows to the spire of St. John the Baptist parish church.

The Barn is a two bedroom cottage, with one bathroom with shower, it can sleep up to 4 people, the bedrooms are individual, one double bed and one with a king size bed, downstairs is a large open plan living, kitchen, dining area and a sitting room with TV. Outside there is a small private area just for this cottage, where there is table and chairs to relax in.

A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. It is a brilliant place to stay as a base to explore the Cotswolds, with many places to visit.

Outside the property there is a Keep Clear space, please use this to drop off your luggage and then move the car as soon as possible, as other guests may need to use this, the parking just outside the property is 24 hours and free, the parking on the opposite is only for 2 hours, there is a public car park, which is also free at the bottom of The Hill, this can be easily found by taking the turning by Mrs Bumbles and following the road around past the Church.

Old Burford Cottage is the largest 2 bed on the High Street. The cottage was originally two cottages, but we have lovingly converted into one spacious cottage for upto 4 people. A beautiful cottage built in the region of 1840 to accompany The George Inn. Situated 10 yards off the famous Burford High Street, it is peacefully quiet and has been refurbished to an immaculate standard, whilst keeping tradition. The location is possibly the best in Burford, it’s genuinely amazing …location, location!

Once you arrive and park, you are ‘slap bang’ in the middle of Burford, but as said, it’s amazing as the archway from The Old George Inn does not allow cars, so super peaceful and quiet after you finish eating, walking or shopping in The Hill……Burford is idyllic and well worth a visit.

The Little House is on The Hill in Burford, a Grade II listed cottage in the heart of this historic town, has medieval origins with stone mullion windows, a flagstone floor and exposed beams. It has been exquisitely renovated and upgraded and decorated by the interior designer Lisa Sansom to create a romantic haven for couples to enjoy this stunning part of Britain. On the River Windrush with its steeply rising High Street, Burford is known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds, one of the most picturesque towns in England. An historic market town, buildings with medieval origins and Tudor and Georgian frontages line the High Street, the alleyways and side streets are a warren of discoveries and the medieval bridge and St John's Church all claim your attention.

There are loads of charming villages close by that all be reached in as little as 15 minutes. These include Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water. Inside half-an-hour you are at Broadway, known as the Jewel of the Cotswolds. Near by, the majestic Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, the botanical gardens at Oxford University, Cheltenham Literary and Jazz Festivals and its famous races are all accessible, as is the historic city of Bath.

Built in the 15th century, Portland Cottage is a wonderful Grade-2 listed Cotswold stone cottage is located in the heart of Burford, Oxfordshire, just a few steps from the high street and the town's many pubs and shops. Whether you want to relax or explore, this home is perfectly situated in the "gateway to the Cotswolds."

This cosy but light-filled home has been completely renovated to preserve and highlight its many original charms while also modernising the kitchen, the bathrooms and much more.

The space
Upon entering Portland, you are greeted by the grand staircase that leads through the center of the house. The property has four large and airy bedrooms across the upper two floors, two with king beds and two with superkings, one of which with prior arrangement can be split into two singles. We also have a pack-and-play infant/toddler bed available upon request.

There is a modern and spacious family bathroom off the hallway, an en-suite shower room with sink and toilet in the primary bedroom, and another en-suite with sink and toilet in the front bedroom. One of the attic rooms also has a sink.

Our living room is to the front and has a huge leather chaise sofa, log burner and smart TV. Games and puzzles for all ages are in the front window chest, and the collection of books throughout the house include guidebooks on local walks through the charming Cotswolds countryside.

The kitchen is large, bright and modern with a range cooker, large fridge-freezer, washer/dryer and dining area. It is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, gadgets, and basics for cooking. The dining table extends to seat up to 8 people.

To the rear of the house, we also have a lovely, bright conservatory with a dedicated desk space overlooking the patio area. The garden is semi-private, being shared with one neighbour, but otherwise fully walled and perfect for relaxing with a bottle of wine after a day of wandering the countryside.

The property has excellent WiFi coverage with speeds averaging around 40mbps. Full central heating means you will be cosy during your stay.

The whole house is yours to use; we have a shared alley with our neighbour, and the garden and courtyard is split between the two properties so not entirely private.

The 16th century Tolsey building, once the meeting place for medieval merchants, now houses The Tolsey Museum, a delightful local museum illustrating the town's social and industrial past. This Barn is situated in the beautiful Cotswold village of Windrush which is on the borders of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. The Barn was converted into a detached house in the 1970s.
There are many walks close by including the Cotswold Way. We are the next village along from the beautiful Sherborne Estate, where Springwatch and Autumn watch were filmed.
I have one double bedroom with double bed with private bathroom. There is free parking. The River Windrush is 100 yds away down the track.

The space
This 17th Century Barn is situated on the edge of the village of Windrush. It is very quiet and tranquil. There are far reaching views from the house and garden. It would make an ideal retreat for artists.
It is close to the beautiful Cotswold town of Burford and only 3.1 miles away from Stone Barn a popular wedding venue.
It is 1 mile off the A40 which makes it ideal for sightseeing around Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.
We are only 20 miles from the famous Cheltenham Race course.
We are 8 miles from Bourton on the Water otherwise known as the Little Venice of the Cotswolds. We are 100 yards away from the River Windrush.

Guest access
The Barn has a private gravelled driveway with plenty of parking. There are no steps into the property. There are open tread stairs to the first floor.
There is a sensor light at the front of the property.
A car will be needed as there is no public transport.

During your stay
I am available at weekends but in the week I work full time but will be available early mornings and from 5pm. I am also available on my mobile if the guests have any questions.

Other things to note
Please take shoes off before you go upstairs.
The double bedroom has one double bed and is designated for guests only. Guests will also have their own private bathroom.
There is a key safe by the front door and guests will be given the code when booking is confirmed. Guests will then keep the key for their stay and be able to come and go as they wish.
Check out time is 11am Monday to Friday and 10am at weekends.
I do have two other spare bedrooms which are available for hire if guests wish to bring family or friends however they would then all have to share the same bathroom. Please note that these two
spare bedrooms are not designated for guests only but do have personal belongings in them. These bedrooms will be charged at the same price.
Guests are allowed to use my kitchen to make hot drinks or heat up food in the microwave.
Breakfast is layed out in the kitchen which consists of a variety of cereals, toast, marmalade and jam.

The fully fitted kitchen comprises:- an electric oven/grill, four gas hobs, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso Machine (additional capsules may be purchased), washing machine, under counter fridge with integrated icebox, glassware, crockery and pans. There is more than enough to self cater but should you require anything else, please ask and we will endeavour to obtain it. Breakfast can easily be found at the Garden Centre or in town. Guests are welcome to sit in the vegetable garden and walk around the garden but we regret that we cannot grant access to the trampoline and pool.

The Coach House is an integral part of our home (with its own entrance) and so we tend to be available during your stay. We are always happy to recommend local eateries and attractions.

Coach House is just a 15-minute walk to the town centre where friendly family-owned restaurants, independent cafes, and unique boutiques await. Head to Burford's famous Garden Company and enjoy going for a hike in the area.

Burford town centre is easily walkable. To explore the wider area travel by car or bike is recommended. Charlbury Train Station is 15 minutes by car/taxi.

There is off-street parking for one vehicle only and we would ask that you access the drive slowly to avoid coming into contact with our children and animals. We have five lovely chickens which reside in a spacious run and two kittens!

Please be aware that the Coach House is situated in a rural area and therefore the Wi-fi connectivity and strength can be variable.

Relax into the tranquil surroundings of the Cotswolds while staying in a warm new build home in old, bustling Burford. Your room looks onto a South facing garden with fields beyond. The bathroom has a rain shower and heated towel rail. I moved here in 2023 and am still making it home, but it is a welcoming space that I hope you enjoy as much as I do.

The space
My house is semi-detached with three bedrooms, a driveway for two cars and a garden. Your bedroom faces the back of the house next to the main bathroom. There is a downstairs loo and area where you can store coats, shoes and muddy boots. It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Burford. There are lots of places to get coffee/lunch, as well as shops and galleries to mooch around.

NOTE: There is building work ongoing as Cotswold Gate is not yet complete. So far, disruption is minimal but please ask questions about this if concerned.

The space
The Garret is new, spacious apartment, situated on the second floor. Upon entering the apartment, you arrive in a small hallway area, with a storage cupboard and hanging rail for shoes and coats.

You then enter into a spacious, bright, fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen is complete with integrated oven and induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and kettle and toaster. It also features an integrated full height fridge/freezer and washer and dryer. The kitchen offers plentiful storage. An iron, ironing board and clothes airer is also provided for your convenience.

Off the kitchen, is a modern bathroom, complete with fitted bath and overhead shower, wash basin, WC and large heated towel rail. Complimentary toiletries and towels are provided and we pride ourselves on the exceptional levels of cleanliness we strive to achieve.

The kitchen leads into a spacious, bright, dining and living area. There is a dining area with table and seating for four people. The lounge area consists of
a three-seater sofa and two-seater sofa, coffee tables, standard lamp and a large flat screen smart TV with free-view and the option for guests to use their own streaming services e.g. Netflix or Amazon Prime.

A small selection of traditional board games, as well as plentiful leaflets and guides about the local area are also provided.

Off the living room is a bedroom which boasts a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen. The bedroom features plentiful storage, including a double wardrobe and chest of drawers. The elegant dressing table with mirror and stool provides an area to sit and get ready in the morning. A full length mirror, hairdryer and smart tv are also provided in the bedroom.

Wildlife and birds are abundant and you will often see foxes, badgers, hares, deer and many beautiful species of birds and wildflowers. It is a perfect cottage to relax by the fire and unwind.

When you want to eat out, the historic Fox Inn is a 20 minute walk across the fields. Walkers will enjoy the two mile ramble along the valley to the National Trust village of Sherborne, where the village shop serves excellent breakfasts, lunches and delicious homemade cakes.

Totally Self Contained studio apartment with own entrance and no shared facilities on the edge of this Cotswold village just 20 minutes walk from the popular town of Burford. The property is situated over a detached double garage and was converted in 2017 to a high standard by the current owners who live next door in Pudswell House.
