Our property is a large 100+ year old farmhouse, it's made up of 3 separate units. The honeymoon unit has 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, bathroom and lounge. Guests share a large deck that overlooks the pool and the property.
The unit is totally self sufficient.
The house is surrounded by 55 acres, you can go bush walking or simply relax on the verandah overlooking the property. The 15 metre swimming pool is very inviting.
We are ideally situated close to the local wineries and numerous art and craft galleries of the Tamborine/Canungra area. You may like to just stroll around the Canungra township, or go for a day trip to O'Reillys and do the tree walk.
There's plenty to do around the Canungra Valley and the Gold Coast is only 40 minutes away
Horse riding can be booked for you with Thunderbird Park or Gumnuts horse riding complexes - both are only 10 minutes from our property.
If you are an early starter, you can go to the track with Steve and watch the horses go through their paces - but you need to be up at 2 a.m.
Magpie Creek Farmstay is the home of up and coming race horses. Trained by property owner Steve Field, these horses are learning to go the distance
Guests are also welcome to come and feed the horses early in the morning and again at about 4p.m. in the afternoon, the kids love doing this, filling the feed buckets, learning about the horses and throwing out the hay.
There are chickens to feed - eggs to collect and lots of wild life just living their best life on the farm.
For those guests who just want to relax, you will enjoy sitting on the deck, reading a book, watching the kids swim in the pool.
If you want a little exercise, a walk up the hill and back down again takes about 20 minutes and is great for getting back to nature.
Many guests come to stay because of our close proximity to Mount Tamborine, Canungra and the Gold Coast, using the farm as the quiet place to stay in between daily visits to the noisy theme parks and hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast.
We provide all the linen and towels, the units are totally self catering - guests bring their own food and drink. There's a BBQ on the deck, a fridge and frying pan and microwave oven in the unit.

Our house is not suitable for parties and events. The neighbour will call either me, our local security patrol or the police if noise is excessive after 10pm.
We had issues with guests using our house for parties before and Airbnb has helped us to install a noise monitor (For more info please search MINUT online) in our outdoor area. It is camera free and simply monitors sound level in the area. It does not listen in on conversations or capture any data. This device is fully integrated with AIRBNB and when excessive noise (over 80 dBs) is detected during our quiet hour (10 pm - 8am second day), an alarm will be sent off to you through Airbnb to remind you to keep the noise down and move your activities inside our home. If the noise persists, I will try to contact you first and resolve any issues with you. If I cannot reach you or the noise persists after our call, the local safety patrol or police wil be informed and further actions will be taken.

We understand that sometimes you really enjoy your time here with us and would like stay a little longer! However, we sometimes have guests coming to stay on the same day you check out and unlike hotels, we do not have alternative rooms for them! Therefore it is important that all late check out requests should be made AT LEAST THE NIGHT before your departure to ensure that our cleaners have plenty of time to finish their work! If you need to check out after 12pm, an extra HALF DAY rate will be charged through Airbnb and the payment must be made on and before the night you check out for your request to be approved. We will not accommodate late check out requests on the day of your departure. Without a late check out confirmation, our cleaner will commence their work at 10am and they will have access to our property for housekeeping.

We provide all our guests with essential starter supplies to make your stay more enjoyable. Complimentary supplies include: 1 set of bed linens for each bed, 2 towels per double/queen/king bed, 1 towel per single/sofa bed, 1 tea towel, coffee + tea + sugar + milk, 2 toilet rolls per toilet, 1 bath mat, 2 hand towels and shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, bodywash per bathroom. There are also a few other cooking supplies provided in our kitchen. Please note these supplies are not intended to last for the whole duration of your stay but are provided to avoid the need to rush to supermarkets immediately after your arrival. If you need extra supplies, please arrange with us prior to your stay to avoid delivery costs! If you would like to request mid-stay supply delivery, please contact us and we are more than happy to help!

RULE 1: Please respect check in and out times.
❑ The standard check-out time is 10am. There are absolutely no exceptions unless arrangements have been made at the time of booking. For any unauthorized late check-out, a $50/hr late check-out fee will apply.
❑ Under no circumstances can check-outs be later than noon (12pm), as other guests are arriving and the space must be cleaned — Any unauthorized late check-out beyond this time will result to a fee equivalent to a day’s base rate without discounts (NOTE: This fee will not mean possession of the property for the day, this is the fee for over-staying for more than 2 hours without permission)
RULE 2: No parties or events allowed
❑ Strictly no parties allowed. Infringement on this rule will result in eviction without refund.
RULE 3: No smoking allowed.
❑ Smoking inside the property is prohibited and will result an additional charge of over $250. This is as the smell will need to be treated professionally and the room deodorized.
RULE 4: No pets allowed.
❑ Strictly no pets allowed. We absolutely love pets but due to hygienic and health reason/s, we are unable to accommodate them in my property. Violation of this rule will result an additional cleaning fee equivalent to the cleaning fee in your booking as the housekeepers will need to do extra work.
RULE 5: Please respect the noise curfew.
❑ Quiet hours are between 10pm – 8am seven days a week. A noise complaint during these hours will result in eviction without refund.
RULE 6: Please report damages or left behind items.
❑ If there is any damage to the property please inform the host ASAP. We will need to replace them and additional charges may apply.
❑ For left behind items, our housekeepers will bring them back to our warehouse and you can contact us to arrange item pick up from the warehouse for free until two weeks after your check out day. Items will not be kept in the warehouse longer than 2 weeks and we will donate all left behind items to charity shops after two weeks.
❑ If you leave any items behind by accident, we are happy to post them back to you. However, we will need to compensate our housekeepers or managers for the postage

Were certainly quite a few broken things when we arrive such as the back screen door, the hot tub was empty with stagnant water in it, cuts in the felt of the pool table and broken screens in the deck area. But these were not things that affected our stay so we weren’t concerned. With some TLC this house could be amazing, but we still had a great time anyway. The cows in the backyard were also a great element that the kids loved so much! Thanks for an amazing weekend away for our family! Hope to be able to stay again soon. "

Peace and quiet with big sky country views, this cozy 2-bedroom guest house perfect for couples wanting to get away, with a wood burning fireplace will leave you totally relaxed. Part of a working cattle property with a flock of Guinea Fowl that will keep you laughing. Nestled in the heart of the Scenic Rim close to National Parks, quaint country towns, vineyards and the cutest Alpaca Farm. This property is perfect for wedding photos. Surrounded by some of the best day trips by car or bike. 20 mins to Mt Tamborine, 45 minutes to Kalbar and the Gold Coast. 50 mins from Brisbane.
Please note we are not set up for young children as the guesthouse is set up for adults only and with 50 acres there a number of things which are not child proof.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

It's an ideal location for a great get away; suitable for a refreshing weekend stay and, or to attend milestone ceremonies e.g. weddings, birthdays and marital anniversaries. - "This is a "Tiny" house - very small to what we expected but at least it has a large verandah with an outdoor table & seats plus 2 sun chairs where one can sit out and admire the lovely mountain view. Ample power points. Firepit out the front with BBQ hotplates & mesh grill was used every day & for us this was the highlight and the reason we chose this property. The immediate surrounds are untidy and ugly - mainly old building debris which should be cleaned away if it's to be used for rentals. Communication was excellent & the host Ming was superb. Anything we needed additionally he supplied free of charge. We were cold - he brought a heater (has an A/C which didn't put out much heat), more firewood, firelighters plus more toilet rolls (only 1 supplied for 4 nights, 3 days) Ming is one of the best & most helpful hosts we have had. He really cares about his guests comfort. Bedding is excellent & there are plenty of good quality towels. One last thing. The gravel driveway to the house is quite steep but we were able to get in and out easy enough with our CX5."

Before anything else, I would appreciate it if you took a moment to read these house rules at the beginning of your stay and follow them. If anything is unclear, please contact me so I can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings.
RULE 1: Please respect check in and out times.
❑ The standard check-out time is 10am. There are absolutely no exceptions unless arrangements have been made at the time of booking. For any unauthorized late check-out, a $50/hr late check-out fee will apply.
❑ Under no circumstances can check-outs be later than noon (12pm), as other guests are arriving and the space must be cleaned — Any unauthorized late check-out beyond this time will result to a fee equivalent to a day’s base rate without discounts (NOTE: This fee will not mean possession of the property for the day, this is the fee for over-staying for more than 2 hours without permission)
RULE 2: No parties or events allowed
❑ Strictly no parties allowed. Infringement on this rule will result in eviction without refund.
RULE 3: No smoking allowed.
❑ Smoking inside the property is prohibited and will result an additional charge of over $250. This is as the smell will need to be treated professionally and the room deodorized.
RULE 4: No pets allowed.
❑ Strictly no pets allowed. We absolutely love pets but due to hygienic and health reason/s, we are unable to accommodate them in my property. Violation of this rule will result an additional cleaning fee equivalent to the cleaning fee in your booking as the housekeepers will need to do extra work.
RULE 5: Please respect the noise curfew.
❑ Quiet hours are between 10pm – 8am seven days a week. A noise complaint during these hours will result in eviction without refund.
RULE 6: Please report damages or left behind items.
❑ If there is any damage to the property please inform the host ASAP. We will need to replace them and additional charges may apply.
❑ For left behind items, our housekeepers will bring them back to our warehouse and you can contact us to arrange item pick up from the warehouse for free until two weeks after your check out day. Items will not be kept in the warehouse longer than 2 weeks and we will donate all left behind items to charity shops after two weeks.
❑ If you leave any items behind by accident, we are happy to post them back to you. However, we will need to compensate our housekeepers or managers for the postage fee and their time. This will be $30 + the postage cost.
RULE 7: Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee.
❑ If you are locked out and require us to visit the property, a $50 fee will be charged. This fee increases to $150 after 5:30pm daily or before 9:30am and all day on weekends. This can be paid either through our booking platform or cash to the delivery person. Arrangements will only be made once payment is received.
❑ Lost keys or access swipes are subject to a $500 replacement charge. This is as the locks will need to be changed.
❑ We usually provide one set of keys to our studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. Two sets of keys are usually provided to our three bedroom plus apartments and houses. If you have requested an extra set of keys, a deposit of $100 will be required. This deposit will be returned to you once you have returned all keys. Extra key requests can only be arranged a day before your check in time free of charge. Extra key requests placed on or after your check in will incur a delivery charge which is the same as section one Rule 7. Delivery fee can be waived if you can pick keys up from our office in South Brisbane.
RULE 8: No unregistered guests allowed.
❑ No unauthorized guests. Our home is prepared to accommodate ONLY the guests on the reservation. Each additional unauthorized guest will accrue a $100 fine and your booking will be cancelled immediately without refund.
RULE 9: Treat my property with love. This is your home too.
❑ Take care of the property and avoid making a mess within the premises. Leaving dishes unwashed or having food items out in the open tend to attract pests and insects that may require pest control.
❑ We ask you to try and return the property to how you first entered. Our cleaning fee includes the time taken to clean the house without any extra mess. Any extra time spent cleaning as a result of your stay will be charged to you.
RULE 10: No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
❑ We strictly do not allow storing or consuming illegal substances in our property. Infringement on this rule will result in eviction without refund.
★ Portacots and Highchairs are available on request only. Please let us know ASAP to ensure availability. A set up fee of $40 (exclude GST) applies. (for portacot or high chair separately)
★ We provide toiletries and other household items that should last for around 3 days. If additional supplies are needed, we are able to replenish for a fee if stocks are available. Feel free to visit the nearest grocery store should you wish to restock for yourself.
★ Please communicate via the the booking portal wherever possible. This allows us to instantly identify your booking. Our average response time is less than 10 minutes. Note that text messages to my phone number won’t be received as we use an online phone system.

Our house is not suitable for parties and events. The neighbor will call either me, our local security patrol, or the police if the noise is excessive after 10 PM.
We had issues with guests using our house for parties before and Airbnb has helped us to install a noise monitor (For more info please search MINUT online) in our outdoor area. It is camera-free and simply monitors sound levels in the area. It does not listen in on conversations or capture any data. This device is fully integrated with AIRBNB and when excessive noise (over 80 dBs) is detected during our quiet hour (10 pm - 8 am second day), an alarm will be sent off to you through Airbnb to remind you to keep the noise down and move your activities inside our home. If the noise persists, I will try to contact you first and resolve any issues with you. If I cannot reach you or the noise persists after our call, the local safety patrol or police will be informed and further actions will be taken.

We understand that sometimes you enjoy your stay so much that you’d like to extend it a little longer! However, since we often have guests arriving the same day you check out and we don't have alternative rooms, all late check-out requests must be made until a day (until MIDDAY only) before your departure. This ensures our cleaners have ample time to prepare the home for the next guests.
Unfortunately, we will not accommodate late check-out requests on the day of your departure. Without a late check-out confirmation, our cleaners will begin their work at 10 AM and will have access to the property for housekeeping.

STARTER SUPPLIES

We provide all our guests with essential starter supplies to make your stay more enjoyable. Complimentary supplies include 1 set of bed linens for each bed, 2 towels per double/queen/king bed, 1 towel per single/sofa bed, 1 tea towel, coffee, tea, and sugar, 2 toilet rolls per toilet, 1 bath mat, 2 hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body wash per bathroom.
Our kitchen also comes stocked with a few cooking essentials. These supplies are intended to help you settle in without needing to rush to the supermarket immediately upon arrival. They are not meant to last for the entire duration of your stay.
If you require extra supplies, please arrange this with us before your stay to avoid delivery costs. We are unable to provide items not listed above. For mid-stay supply deliveries, please contact us, and we will be happy to assist (a delivery charge may apply).
Please ensure you book for the actual number of guests so we can provide enough linens and towels for everyone!

1. Check-In & Check-Out
Check-out: 10 AM. Unauthorized late check-outs incur a $50/hour fee. After 12 PM, a full day’s rate applies.
Early or late check-out must be arranged in advance.
2. No Parties or Events
Strictly prohibited. Violation results in eviction without refund and a $1,000 fee + security/police call out fee.
3. No Smoking
Smoking indoors incurs a $250 cleaning fee.
4. No Pets
Pets are not allowed. Violations incur an extra cleaning fee.
5. Noise Curfew
Quiet hours: 7 PM – 7 AM. Noise complaints may lead to eviction without refund.
6. Damages & Lost Items
Report damages immediately.
Items left behind are stored for 2 weeks. Pickup is free; shipping costs $50 + postage + GST
7. Keys & Lockouts
Lost keys: $500 fee (locks replaced).
Lockout assistance: $50 ($150 after hours).
8. No Unregistered Guests
Unauthorized guests incur a $100 fee per person, and bookings may be cancelled without refund.
9. No Illegal Substances
Illegal substances result in eviction without refund.
