- "The cabin is beautiful and extremely well stocked. Fireplace was lit as we arrived making for a warm welcome. It’s nestled deep in the farmlands which is a perfect getaway from the city. It’s right next door to the owners property and they are quick to respond to questions but not at all intrusive. My kids loved waking up to the sound of the farm animals and laughed at all the silly chickens, turkeys, goats, cows, and dogs. The new guest hottub to the side of the Cabin was a hit with our crew. The playground equipment is older and shows it’s years but was still plenty of fun for our 3 and 5 year old. (Trampoline had a tear so not currently usable and too cold for pool but it looked super fun for summer months). Easy travel distance between Tulsa snd Bartellsville if you want restaurants or entertainment. A perfect country getaway that we’d book again in a heartbeat."

Check in was a bit confusing as we didn't get any communication ahead of time about how to check in like you typically do with VRBO rentals. We tried to message through the app but got no response. Eventually we called the hotel itself and figured it out. Essentially you check in like you would at a hotel -- since it was a holiday, there was no one at the desk, so we needed a code for entrance to the building and then were able to get our keys."

- "The price and location were right for this cute little condo in Bartlesville, so we didn't mind the 4 flight of stairs to get up to it. The unit is just as it is pictured. Check in was so easy and communication with the owner was great. There wasn't an iron that we could find, but luckily, we brought wrinkle release spray. We also bought a few cheap wash cloths as we were told in the check in instructions that these aren't provided bc they are ruined so easily when used for make up removal--that's fair. The bed is queen sized which my husband and I are used to sleeping in. However, the units mattress had the "taco effect" which may be nice if its just one person sleeping in it but we found ourselves struggling not to roll into the middle. Overall, we had a nice stay and appreciated the price, cleanliness and responsiveness of the host."

Access to the property is from 8th street. You can park anywhere under the carport. The entire driveway leading to the two garage doors is yours to use.

If you enter your code into the keypad three times in a row the lock will flash and error out. You will have to wait at least 30 seconds to try again. If you continue to have access issues, don't hesitate to message us and we should be able to unlock remotely.

Other things to note
The space is 200 sq feet on the main level and 209 sq ft in the loft with low head clearance. The first floor is very comparable to a hotel room, which has no kitchen. Most interactions will be with the co-host James.

If you need more than one towel per person, please let us know so we can try to accommodate.

Our guest cabin is set on 20 wooded acres in the Osage Hills at the end of a private gravel road. It feels completely isolated, but it's only 10 minutes to downtown Bartlesville, 20 minutes to Pioneer Woman's Merc, and an hour to Tulsa. There is a full kitchen, living area, and full bath on the ground floor, with a queen and twin bed on the 2nd floor. There is no TV to interfere with the quiet, although WiFi keeps you connected. We live in the main house and are always available if needed.

The space
It feels like you are a million miles away from civilization. The chirping birds will greet you in the morning, and at night you can hear the hoot owl and nightingales. You'll marvel at the inky black skies dotted with stars, without any city lights to dim the beauty. As you relax on the second floor deck outside the bedroom, you'll see deer grazing on the front lawn and perhaps a turkey or two. But it's only a quick 10-minute drive to get to Bartlesville, with its array of dining options and attractions, and only 20 minutes in the opposite direction to get to the Pioneer Woman's Mercantile as well as other Osage highlights. Or head south to Tulsa with its city attractions. Our Cabin in the Woods is truly the best of both worlds!

You can access any part of the 20 acres, including the pond and deck. Do check with us before going out for a hike, so we can describe the limits of the property - there is no fence between us and one of our neighbors.
The mile-long gravel road leading into the property is good for short strolls or runs.

Other things to note
Steep stairs to the bedroom loft may be difficult for some people.
Sleeping arrangements include 1 queen and 1 twin bed upstairs. The couch in the living room folds down into a double size and can be used as an additional sleeping space, suitable for children.
There is no TV, but there is Wifi. Cell phone reception is very good for most service providers.
If you plan to hike the woods, we recommend bringing along long pants, closed shoes, and bug spray.
