Our unique place is in a central location making it easy to plan your visit. ~2 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk to the main grocery store, coffee shops, and restaurants. Our spacious home is nestled at the end of a road in a quiet neighborhood and the reverse layout of the home makes for a beautiful "birds view" as well as cooler bedroom temperatures in the summer.
The space
The two story home has a reverse layout making for beautiful views from the kitchen, dining area, and living room and cooler temperatures to sleep in from the bedrooms downstairs. The house is located at the very end of the road making it a more private and quiet area to stay. The guest room is off to the side close to the guest bathroom. The spacious kitchen, dining, and living area will provide you with no shortage of room to cook, eat, and relax during your stay.

Guests can access most areas of the home, all other bedrooms and the hallway to the left of the bottom of the stairs, garage, shop, and shed are off limits to guests.
During your stay
The rented space is a room in our home so you will likely see us around in the evenings and reachable if you need anything but as a busy family, we plan to give our guests plenty of space. Always available by text, sometimes phone, and may be available for occasional ride if needed.
Other things to note
Please note that because the home was built over the 100 year flood mark, you must be able/willing to walk up stairs leading to front door as well as another set of stairs for the kitchen/dining/living room. We offer a self-check in with a personalized code for the keypad however, do a lot of work from home so I will be present most of the time.

The space
This is a one-bedroom apartment (part of a triplex) with Wi-Fi, TV screen and DVD player (some DVD’s are included for your viewing pleasure), toasty Toyo heater, full bathroom and complete kitchen. The apartment is approximately 500 ft.² and you will have it all to yourself. We provide a clean and relaxing space to make your stay exceptional. There are outdoor security cameras for your safety and quality assurance.
- This is non-smoking premises, both indoors and outdoors. There will be a $500 fee if this rule is violated.
- The Wi-Fi is a free addition to this place. We have StarLink which may reach limits, so if the guest uses too much Wi-Fi they may incur additional charges. If the Wi-Fi is not working and you let us know we will do everything we can to get it back up as soon as possible however we cannot guarantee it as it may be out of our control.
- The following items are provided for you in the apartment: two kitchen trash bags, one bathroom trash bag, one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper, three laundry detergent pods. Should you need more of these supplies during your stay, you must bring or purchase the additional needed.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.
- Please remove your shoes and leave them in the entryway - this is an old Alaskan tradition.
- We are happy to allow outside visitors provided that all house rules will be met (NO overnights by persons not on the booking, NO loud partying, NO alcohol, NO smoking anywhere on the property) but you must get approval from us first.
- Due to the nature of our location in the Alaskan bush, we cannot guarantee all basic items that frequent Airbnb guests may be accustomed to. Rest assured we will do everything we can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
- There is $1,000 late check out fee, with the exception of a prior approval by the host.
- Please be cautious when it is icy outside. Watch your step and avoid going out if you’re not comfortable walking on slippery surfaces. We do not provide ice melt or grip materials, although you are welcome to purchase your own for putting down.
- Do not lock the doorknob thumb-turn when you leave. This requires a key and you may incur a lockout fee to be let back in. Only lock the keypad deadbolt so you can access the apartment by your door code.
- There are no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of check in time - this includes weather delays and flight cancellations. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover events such as that.
