There were 2 sofa-beds in the entry, 2 private bedrooms (each +Q bed, flat-screen TV, ample external bath), enormous space +pool table, table/computer for guest use +free WiFi throughout, living area +large flat-screen TV/cable +numerous DVD movies, book-filled shelves, 2 sofas (one normal, the other with 4 individual recliner seats), dining table, FULLY-equipped kitchen (not just with dishes, glasses of all size – even for champagne, cooking utensils, but also spices, cooking oil, flour, Bisquick, seasonings, coffee, tea… plus fridge filled with stuff for our continental breakfast included in the price – English muffins, jam, margarine, yoghurt, fresh fruit, OJ, milk…). Tiny house sleeps 2, with 1 bed & 1 bath. This nautical-themed tiny home at Discover Kenai offers magnificent views of Cook Inlet, Twin Glaciers, Mt. Redoubt, Mt. Iliamna, and Mt. Spurr, and Mt. Augustine (all 4 are active volcanoes). You'll see an abundance of wildlife including Moose, Eagles, Beluga whales (seasonal), an occasional Bear and more. There is Large yard, picnic table and fire-pit to share. The Wheelhouse is ten minutes from downtown Kenai and the Kenai River.

We have just shy of 1 acre on this property, with borough land to one side in the wooded area that you are free to walk through to get further down the bluffs if you’d like. We live here with our daughter, 3 dogs, and chickens. There are 3 rental units on the property. You can definitely expect to cross paths with us during your stay - we work from home and like to spend as much time outside as possible. You won’t be disappointed with the comfort of your unit or the views of the inlet. We’re amazed every single day. We hope something amazes you during your stay!

You are welcome to build a fire at the fire pit while you’re here, as well as use the bbq grill near your rental unit. Make use of our hammock in the trees and, of course, you can go down the slide off the deck!

We do live here on the property. You will almost certainly see us at least once during your stay. You can always wave us down for something if you see us. If not, feel free to use the app or text/call directly.

Our place is in a unique corner of Alaska. This quiet retreat is located in a peaceful setting on a Salmon / Trout stream adjacent to Daniel's Lake. The cottage is 900 square feet, and is fully furnished with a queen bed in one room and a full bed in a semi-private room. There is a fully functional kitchen, and a washer and dryer for your use.

Daniels Lake is the largest lake north of Kenai, and supports a healthy population of Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden Trout, and two runs of salmon (both Sockeye and Silvers). Starting in late July and August the Sockeye make there final journey from the ocean to their spawning grounds in Daniel's Lake. In Late August and September the Silvers also run up the little creek behind the cottage. You can watch the salmon make their final leap from the fish ladder into the lake, only a few steps from the front door. This migration brings the eagles and other wildlife to the area. Although the creek is closed to fishing, the lake is open to sport fishing year-round. A canoe is available for your use, and advice is free!

The Nikiski area also boasts excellent beaches, the North Peninsula Recreation Center, (Nikiski Pool), Captain Cook State Park, numerous lakes, creeks and rivers for fishing in both summer and winter, several hiking trails, berry picking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmachining,

Summer
Located on Daniels Lake, the largest float plane lake in Nikiski. Located 20 minutes north of Kenai. Our duplex is 750 sqft, has all the ingredients for the perfect Alaskan getaway. This unit features 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroom 2 a twin bunk bed. Fully furnished kitchen with quartz countertop and stainless steel appliances. This unit is equipped with a washer and dryer. Outside, you can look forward to eagle watching, trout jumping and maybe see a moose! Also dockside fish or just relax in the sun. If your up for an exciting experience, put on your bathing suit and swim in the lake! If your looking for more adventure, canoe, paddle board or trout fish (gear provided) on the lake. In our large beautiful yard you can enjoy games such as yard Yahtzee and Connect 4. In the evening enjoy making s'mores by the fire or take a relaxing sauna.
Other activities off site include Captain Cook State Park which is only 10 minutes away and includes a beautiful beach for beach combing, agate hunting and a wonderful park for camping or sightseeing. If your thirst for adventure still isn't satisfied try your luck fishing the Swanson River (also located 10 minutes away) for silver salmon. If you get the chance and don't want to brave the waters of Daniels lake the community swimming pool is located 15 minutes south and boasts a hot tub, water slide and a diving board. Whether you choose to stay a weekend or a month we want you to come and enjoy yourself and relax.

Winter
Winter months we are set up with an Eskimo ice fishing tent, in addition to an under water Aqua-Vu underwater camera so you can watch the fish as they approach you bait.

Fish processing MUST be done outside in a designated area. Fish may NOT be processed inside the unit or on the deck. Guest may not do large amounts of fish processing such as is associated with dip netting*. We will provide the area, a table, water, trash can, etc. Small amounts of fish may brought inside for cooking. Any sign indicating fish processing has taken place inside will put 100% of your damage deposit at risk.

This townhome has a well-lit workstation/laptop desk. High-speed wifi! There is a laundry area with washer, dryer, ironing board, iron as well as detergent for the washing machine.

Guests can sip a morning cappuccino outdoors on the covered balcony/sitting area, on comfortable patio furniture. Balcony is accessed by a sliding glass door in the living room. The balcony is a great spot to enjoy birdsong, views of wildlife, sunsets, sunrises or the magic of the northern lights.

The neighborhood is safe and quiet, adjacent to a school, close to forests and meadows, and accessible to great hiking and trails. Wildlife abounds in this area. Discover Kenai is very close to all that Kenai has to offer. We are 1.5 miles from the Kenai Airport, 1 mile from Wal Mart and very close to the Kenai River and many restaurants and stores.

Car

There is a designated parking spot and plenty of street parking. This is an older building and sometimes the pipes rattle and gurgle when heating up. We consider this as part of that authentic Alaskan charm. This is not a bothersome sound but might help to know in advance. There may be noise from other guests as this townhome is part of a four-plex. We have a quiet time rule from 11pm -6am. PLEASE be considerate and abide by quiet hours and PLEASE let us know if others are not. (Anytime of night).

We strive to keep our townhome sparkling clean. Please understand, this is an older building that does have wear and tear like older tubs, showers, cabinets, and some older appliances. Please let us know right away with any issues you may be having to give us a chance to get there ASAP and make it right for you.

This house and site is perfect for a family, a fishing party, or any group looking for a place to rest, relax, and enjoy the beautiful lake setting. We consider this as part of that authentic Alaskan charm. This is not a bothersome sound but might help to know in advance. There may be noise from other guests as this townhome is part of a four-plex. We have a quiet time rule from 11pm -6am. PLEASE be considerate and abide by quiet hours and PLEASE let us know if others are not. (Anytime of night).

We strive to keep our townhome sparkling clean. Please understand, this is an older building that does have wear and tear like older tubs, showers, cabinets, and some older appliances. Please let us know right away with any issues you may be having to give us a chance to get there ASAP and make it right for you.

- "My family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Kenai Abode. The train theme for decor was fun--the kids especially enjoyed the sleeper car style bunk beds. It was very quiet, private, with a beautiful garden and porchswing overlooking a pond. We even saw a beaver working one morning. Just note it is about 10 minutes north of Kenai itself and grocery shopping. We highly recommend and would stay again." - "What a special place! You can tell the owners have taken so much care to create a unique experience here. There is a lot of custom wood work, paint, and drapery. The garden is lovely. Located on a beautiful lake teeming with wildlife. Sandhill cranes come to nest and raise their babies every summer, along with swans, ducks and the inevitable eagles. Moose wander the property, along with a herd of domestic goats & chickens. The Schoolie is equipped with a cozy wood stove, the most comfortable king size bed, a kitchenette with a small fridge, & Kurig coffee maker. A comfortable seating area with views of the lake. There’s a grill off the front, or you can use the cooking grate over the fire pit. The Schoolie is minimalist , we have electricity but no running water, there’s a clean outhouse nearby. For those LONG Alaskan summer days we have blackout curtains running the entire length of the bus. It is a perfect landing place for all your Alaskan adventures. We are just a couple short miles from some of the most beautiful beaches, a short jaunt to town whether it be Nikiski or Kenai. There is laundry services on site for a fee, or laundromats nearby. You can shower at our local pool facilities, there are multiple walking paths and trail systems within a couple of miles. If you want a unique and affordable Alaskan experience you have to see this property to believe it. - "Great hosts" - "Feels as though you are on a bird preserve as swans, geese, ducks and Sandhill cranes drop into the water directly in front of you~ It’s magical" - "We were so pleased with our accommodations! The owners gave clear directions to the property and the bus was warm and toasty when we arrived. The bus is stocked with every convenience that you may need, firewood, cookware, tableware, grilling tools, seasonings, lighters and matches, towels, spare blankets, etcetera. However you are a 15 minute drive away from your choice of supermarkets if you do forget or need anything. It was a chilly Alaskan autumn during our stay but the bus is equipped with a wood burning stove that keeps it very comfortable. The interior feels spacious and the bed is super soft. The goats greeted us upon our arrival and walked us right over to the bus. They were super friendly and fun to watch and hang out with. It was lovely to take the kayaks out as well as sit by the fire and watch the float planes. I would highly recommend the schoolie to anyone who doesn't mind walking to an outhouse. It's a step up from camping and we really enjoyed having so much property to ourselves for the privacy, solitude, and tranquility. "

We are located on the beach in beautiful Kenai overlooking Mt Redoubt and the Cook Inlet. Just steps to the beach provides breath taking views, fishing for halibut, and long walks on the beach. We are 10 minutes from the Kenai River and 12 minutes from the Kasilof River, for excellent salmon fishing. While sitting on the front deck you’re likely to see a Bald Eagle or two. We are located just 10 minutes from the cities of Kenai and Soldotna.

Entering through the front door the stairs are straight ahead and living room and fully stocked kitchen. There is a full bath on the first floor as well as the washer/dryer. Relax in the living room on the couch and enjoy some TV. Dining table is provided, and the kitchen has all the necessary items to enjoy a meal. Upstairs is a vaulted loft that sleeps 6. This is a lovely escape DRY cabin with two floors. There is electricity. Renters have access to Diamond M Ranch bathrooms/showers at “Bath House” about a 200 yard walk from cabin (included in pictures) and laundry room. Also Diamond m ranch perks such as viewing deck and a private trail to the river! This cabin has includes a queen bed, couch that can be made into a full bed, shelves, filtered water, microwave, propane cook stove, fridge, and utensils.

With breathtaking views of the Kenai River Mouth, Beach and Cook Inlet, this cabin is in the perfect location. 5 minutes walk from the beach, the cabin is ideal for dipnetting. Situated in the heart of Kenai Old Town, you will be within easy reach of all amenities, whilst still being a few minutes’ from the beach and river mouth. The cabin has a luxurious sleeping loft (ladder access only) with a California King sized bed, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The cabin has a front porch and outdoor furniture, for you to sit and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Beluga whales can sometimes be spotted in the Inlet. We are in a fantastic spot for dip net fishing, and the cabin is fitted with an outdoor fish cutting table and chest freezer.

Empty the trash, pile all the dirty beddings and towels preferably on the floor, wash your dirty dishes, dry and put it away, no shoes inside, dont trash the place otherwise charges will be impose.

This is a brand new house not far out of Kenai. The bed is very comfortable as it is a sleep number. The windows have blackout cellular shades. I have 3 cats but they are not allowed in guest bedroom. Nice size kitchen, dining and living rooms are available to guests. The living room has cable TV and Wi-Fi is available.

You get to sleep on the luxurious Stearns & Foster mattress. Linens have been chosen with great care for your comfort and there's an extra blanket in the bedroom closet. Pack n' play available upon request.

The bedroom window has black-out blinds to help you sleep while visiting the land of the midnight sun.

The Annex is the smaller of our two cabins which sits on 20 quiet acres. Kitchenette, stocked fridge, and private bath. Queen bed and BBQ. Cozy and affordable. Non-smokers only. No pets.

The space
Our Annex is comfortable and clean. Local TV, Roku, and a nice supply of movies.

Guest access
The Annex sits on 20 acres, some of it is pasture for the three horses and a barn. Horses and dogs are very friendly.

You will find everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We often loan fishing gear and rubber boots.

In the heart of Old Town Kenai this apartment converted from office space is a quiet second floor unit big enough for the whole family. Boasting four bedrooms and a single split bathroom, which allows separate use of the shower, accommodates 6 to 8 people. It's central location is close to grocery stores, restaurants, and everything Kenai has to offer. This unique property sits above the mouth of the scenic Kenai River with a bluff view walking trail just out the front door.

The space
This converted office space is a work in progress but boast all the essentials for your stay. Four bedrooms flank the open concept living room, dining area and kitchen. One of the office lavatories was converted into a shower room leaving the bathroom available while the shower is in use. The apartments resides above quiet office space in a semi-residential area. The apartment is accessed by an indoor stairwell that is protected from the elements.

The space
Our newly renovated unit is the perfect place to crash after an adventurous day on the Kenai or just as an overnighter when locals come to Kenai for a few days. It is within 5 minutes from the Kenai airport, beach, river, and High School. It’s also great for monthly and long-term stays. It can sleep up to 4 people but is most comfortable for 3 people. We offer large discounts for long-term stays and have hosted various traveling professionals.

Layout: The kitchen and living room are downstairs, while the bathroom and both bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are hardwood and we would consider them steep.


Kitchen:
Our fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook delicious Alaskan-inspired meals as you’d like. You'll find all the appliances and cookware you need for a weekend getaway, including an oven and stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave. There is no dining room table, but rather a bar to eat meals at or work remotely.

Bedrooms:
The master bedroom is complete with a King mattress for a peaceful rest. The second bedroom offers a queen mattress. Both bedrooms are equipped with blackout shades for our summer guests to sleep well in the land of the midnight sun. Both have closets for your suitcases, clothes, etc. There are no AC units, as there is rarely a need for them in Alaska.

Bathroom:
The bathroom is newly remodeled and features a clean spacious shower and all the amenities you need to refresh after a day of hiking, fishing, or wildlife watching. We provide soap, towels, a hairdryer, and the basics.

Living Room:
The living room is spacious and features a smart tv with streaming capabilities. It is the perfect place to get some remote work done while you're away. We have strong wifi measured at 58 mbps.

Guest access
Access to our unit is easy! You have your own private entrance to the apartment. We will send you the code to the lockbox located next to the front door on the day of check-in.

Other things to note
Previous guests have asked about the stair situation. The kitchen and living room are downstairs, while the bathroom and both bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are hardwood and could be considered steep. We love answering any questions you have, especially when it comes to activities and food!
