Absolutely amazing and lovely people to deal with, the best bnb experience I've ever had! Sharron and Gary went over and above to make sure we enjoyed our stay from the minite we booked to the day we left... They gave us local tips as for things to do with our kids on a rainy day, left us Fijoas and even brought us some eggs! We felt well and truly spoilt, the house is so homely, comfortable and has everything you need! Plus the location is unbeatable!!! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

This is possibly the best place we have ever rented. Fantastic location for our beach play, immaculately clean, tidy and well organised. Lovely hosts, suited our family of 4, 2 teenagers, perfectly.

WELCOME to our beach home which is only a 30seconds walk to the white sands of Wainui Beach. Great for swimming, surfing, walking or doing absolutely nothing. Take your coffee or breakfast to 'Gary's seat' in the reserve opposite, which looks South to the old lighthouse and north to Makarori headland.

We value our neighbours - by all mean relax on the deck with a wine but no parties or constant loud noise please.

Our home is private, comfortable, and quiet. A place you can totally relax in:
in summer enjoy the shade of large pohutukawa; cruise in the shelter of the back terrace on the swing seat. In winter our heat pump will keep you warm and cosy. No matter what the weather you'll find a space to retreat to.
We’ll even throw in body boards, learner soft surfboard & a beach umbrella.
Our house is suitable for children. In addition to the beach the primary school playground next door will keep kids happy for hours.
A reserve across the road feels like an extension to our property!
The house is situated on the front of our section. We also have a 1 bedroom cottage at the back, behind a high fence, with its own private entrance. This is permanently rented. Only the driveway is shared.

There is a ramp (steep) and hobless shower. Railway lane is quiet & safe. This end of the lane is a dead end so not many cars driving past, you can park inside the property through the gates if you fit or there is plenty of room on the grass next to the road.
Guests have sole and exclusive use of the house and yard.
The driveway if no car is parked in it may be used for maintenance/cleaning staff on some occasions.
We have a lawnmower man that may need to come around to the house and mow the lawns if you are staying for a long stay or during peak seasons.

Share our family home 😊. We are parents to a gorgeous 2yr old daughter called Frankie, a lovely small dog called Luna and a fluffy cat called Beans.
So while it won't be too quiet in the shared spaces, you will have a lovely big room with a TV to yourself.
We also have flatmates who lives in the granny flat out the back.

Just a 7min walk to the port and another few minutes into town or go the other way to Kaiti Beach or up Kaiti Hill for the best view in town!

Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located base. Whitaker guesthouse is a cosy cottage behind our home with your own entrance. Enjoy a peaceful night's rest while being centrally located to the wonderful sites of Gizzy.

Conveniently located near Fox St MTB park and Ballance St village (4 min walk) which offers everything from cafes, butcher, bakery, dairy, pharmacy and berry and ice-cream shop, and local favorite for wood fired pizza and live music, Neighborhood Pizzeria!

The space
Our sleep out is located at the back of our house and has everything you need for a relaxed stay; queen bed, relaxing chair, toaster, kettle, fridge, crockery and cutlery and own deck to enjoy the Gisborne sun. The studio is small but should have everything you need for a comfortable short stay. Note: there are no cooking facilities.

We are a quiet family and love meeting new people so invite guests to enjoy the back garden space, where tui, bellbird, fantail and kereru are regular visitors! However, we also respect that guests may like to keep to themselves and have privacy, although you may see us from time to time using the deck or doing the gardening! We have a very kind, quiet, elderly dog and two cats who you may meet in passing.
