- "Very spacious, clean, and easily accessible" - "We stayed on the lower "B" level. House location in the city is fantastic, not too far away from anything, quiet neighborhood although there is a hospital nearby so there's an occasional ambulance. Outside: The gravel driveway enters/exits sideways from a hill and is a bit of slope down. Rain has washed away much of the gravel where the drive meets the street and there's a gap that some cars will get stuck in, or even have had time getting up the driveway. There was a large pile of blown leaves by the garage door and much of any landscaping needs a little time. At first glance it looks kinda abandoned. A large portion of the driveway is shaded by trees and yo can get about 1/3 of a car under the garage overhang. Inside: Awesome. Looks new. Sofa, TV w/ faux fireplace. Bedroom, soft VERY comfy bed. Overall, a spartan layout. A couple of nice chairs (1 each in BR and LR) would be a cool touch. The kichenette area is well set. Wine glasses, silverware, serving / cooking utensils, etc. all ready to go. There's only a small microwave, no stove or oven. There's a dish sink and everything needed to knock out dishes is under the sink. Only thing missing was running water. Checking underneath, no results. I didn't use any dishes this time, but maybe next time... Bathroom was cool, big fluffy towels and hotel size courtesy soap if you need it. Lots of hot water!! Outside by the door would be a great spot for a patio setup. If you have a couple of chairs in your vehicle, get em."

- "Stayed in Jeff City for Mizzou graduation, access to 63 was quite easy and drive about 30 minutes. This is an historic Jeff City house that has a huge amount of space. With the history, there are some creaks and interesting nuances to the house but that is part of the charm. Each of the bedrooms upstairs has its own AC system, so it can be tailored to your desires. There are lots of plates, cups, utensils to be able to support your big group being there. The owner was very attentive. The best place to park is on the street, versus down the big hill in back. Just unload there, don't pull into the driveway. Only drawback is that some of the beds weren't the most comfortable, but it was a nice place and a nice stay."

We had our own bag chairs in the car and enjoyed using them to sit out on the oversized (shared) front porch when the rain came in. Be sure to look down the street to see the Capital lit up at night. It's beautiful! Places we enjoyed while in town: Oscar's for breakfast!; Sweet Smoke bbq; Last Flight Brewing Co.; Prison Brews (cool gimmick with good food) and Canterbury Hill Winery (outdoor dining)."

We originally intended to have my in-laws stay with us, the listing states sleeps 4, and we assumed 4 adults but it more so sleeps 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 other adult) since the “pull out futon” is more of a twin size bed not queen. So we had to get a hotel for the in-laws, but overall happy with the experience. " - "The place was nice. It was a fairly quiet area. I enjoyed the hot tub and the massage chair. The house was a good fit for what we needed. The owner was very responsive to requests and made our trip as easy as possible. I highly recommend. The bed was very comfortable. Our 3 bed, 1 bath Jefferson City home backs directly up to Oak Hills Golf Course. The living room with smart TV, fully updated eat-in kitchen, 2 bedrooms (both Queen beds), and full bath are all on the main level. Master bedroom (King bed and smart TV) and washer and dryer are downstairs.

The property is on the National Register of Historic Places in the Old Munichburg Neighborhood. We have striven to retain the old charm and beauty of the original space. Therefore, be cautioned that the bathroom has the original clawfoot tub and to bath/shower you step over the tub wall. As a side note, the bathroom is smaller than modern because it was not included in the original construction but added later as the owners diminished/modified their kitchen space to accomodate indoor plumbing. ( A wise choice!)

Electric fixtures are also original in the bedroom, living room and office spaces with the high ceilings, oak floors and woodwork.

The entry to the apartment is a side porch with a stone step-up which is not found in modern construction; however, it is also original and quite charming.

This apartment is about as close as you can get to the KATY trail. Includes conventional coffee maker and Keurig as well as utensils, dishes, pots, etc.

This second story apartment for 4 has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen, and a living room with view of the Capitol, which is less than 1 mile away!

Enjoy shops like Three Story Coffee, Central Dairy, or Ice Cream Factory (all within walking distance) while exploring local favorites like downtown JC, Katy Trail, the Capitol, or Runge Conservation.

Our area is a fun, urban spot close to historic downtown.

The space
Parking and Entry:

You are welcome to use the shared driveway and then enter your private entrance to your second story apartment. Some guests also prefer street parking.

Once inside, you’ll walk up 10-12 carpeted stairs.

Kitchen:

Brew coffee (full Pot or selection of Keurig pods) in the kitchen with complimentary ground coffee, pods, and creamer.

The full kitchen is a great place to enjoy a meal together.

Bedrooms:

In one room we provide a queen bed with large walk-in closet. The unique ceiling is a beautiful touch. It's the perfect, cozy place to relax. There is also a playpen available in the walk in closet so your little one has a comfy place to rest.

Each bed has a welcome tray just waiting for you with a snack and a bottle of water.

The second room is the perfect retreat for two with two twin beds and a desk.

Living room:

Relax and enjoy the smart TV with full streaming capabilities, one of the many board games we provide, or borrow a book from our free library! The sunrise over the Capitol building is especially great, so keep the windows open in this room so you can take in that gorgeous Capitol view.

Toiletries and Extras:

Blankets, fresh sheets, toiletries, and a fan are all provided.

Also, just a few blocks from Riverside Park/Pool & enjoy live outdoor concerts at Capital Region MU Healthcare Amphitheater.
