House location in the city is fantastic, not too far away from anything, quiet neighborhood although there is a hospital nearby so there's an occasional ambulance. Outside: The gravel driveway enters/exits sideways from a hill and is a bit of slope down. Rain has washed away much of the gravel where the drive meets the street and there's a gap that some cars will get stuck in, or even have had time getting up the driveway. There was a large pile of blown leaves by the garage door and much of any landscaping needs a little time. At first glance it looks kinda abandoned. A large portion of the driveway is shaded by trees and yo can get about 1/3 of a car under the garage overhang. Inside: Awesome. Looks new. Sofa, TV w/ faux fireplace. Bedroom, soft VERY comfy bed. Overall, a spartan layout. A couple of nice chairs (1 each in BR and LR) would be a cool touch. The kichenette area is well set. Wine glasses, silverware, serving / cooking utensils, etc. all ready to go. There's only a small microwave, no stove or oven. There's a dish sink and everything needed to knock out dishes is under the sink. Only thing missing was running water. Checking underneath, no results. I didn't use any dishes this time, but maybe next time... Bathroom was cool, big fluffy towels and hotel size courtesy soap if you need it. Lots of hot water!! Outside by the door would be a great spot for a patio setup. If you have a couple of chairs in your vehicle, get em."

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Our office adjoins the space, but your privacy is of the upmost importance. If you like nostalgia, you'll love this property. In the mid 1940's this building was once the very popular Tremain Brothers Lunchroom, and the main road through Jefferson City was present day McCarty. Jefferson City natives fully recognize the location as the Tremain Building, so named today.

This is an older 2 Bed, 1 Bath apartment, yet clean & cozy. We would not call it a vacation home, however if you need to be in the City for 2 or more nights & prefer a quiet place to relax, it is perfect!

About This Space
Atop a picturesque hill on 3 acres and nestled between a neighborhood and Binder State Park our property is peaceful yet close to everything you need. Featuring abundant outdoor space with covered patios, sidewalks, grills, yard games, and more. Each building encompasses 13 private flats on one-level living. Shared common space includes the entry/lounge area, co-working space complete with coffee bar, full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a fitness and entertainment center. Bicycles and kayaks are free and can be used for your outdoor adventure. All amenities, including laundry, are free to our guests.
The Studio Apartment
The fully renovated modern studio is designed around the needs of the mid to long-term traveler. Our studio apartments feature a kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave, and mini-fridge. Dishware, flatware, and basic kitchen items are provided. A walk-in closet with ample shelving and space is directly across from the bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. All linens are complimentary and provided in each room. For entertainment, enjoy fiber internet and a flat screen TV. All guest have access to outdoor spaces, entry/lounge, co-working, fitness and entertainment center, and laundry.

Building 319 houses the Fitness Center in its basement. The Fitness Center features a Peloton bike, treadmill, plyometric box, cable machine, and free weights. It is accessible using each guest’s specific code.

Diagonally across the intersection is the old Missouri State Penitentiary and directly across Lafayette Street is the Missouri State Penitentiary Museum and Penitentiary Tour Ticket Office.

Charming historic 2-bedroom duplex that exudes timeless elegance and old-world charm. Shared common space includes the entry/lounge area, co-working space complete with coffee bar, full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a fitness and entertainment center. Bicycles and kayaks are free and can be used at Binder Lake for your outdoor adventure and can be found in our entertainment center for guest use. All amenities, including laundry, are free to our guests.
The Suite Apartment
The fully renovated modern suite is designed around the needs of the mid to long-term traveler. Our suite features an open concept kitchenette and living area. The kitchenette comes with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven/air fryer, and mid-size fridge. Dishware, flatware, and basic kitchen items are provided. The private bedroom is located off of the living room and kitchenette. A walk-in closet with ample shelving and space is directly across from the bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. All linens are complimentary and provided in each room. For entertainment, enjoy high speed internet and 2 flat screen TVs. All guest have access to outdoor spaces, entry/lounge, co-working, fitness and entertainment center, and laundry. We have 2 separate buildings and 2 suites available at this property, hence, the pictures of both suites and buildings are in listing.

Each building will have a designated dry cleaning drop off location. Guests will be able to leave their garments at the location where a Dry Cleaner company will pick-up and drop off regularly. The cost will be billed to the guest directly and paid to a local Dry Cleaning directly.

Building 319 houses the Fitness Center in its basement. The Fitness Center features a Peloton bike, treadmill, plyometric box, cable machine, and free weights. It is accessible using each guest’s specific code.

The property is on the National Register of Historic Places in the Old Munichburg Neighborhood. We have striven to retain the old charm and beauty of the original space. Therefore, be cautioned that the bathroom has the original clawfoot tub and to bath/shower you step over the tub wall. As a side note, the bathroom is smaller than modern because it was not included in the original construction but added later as the owners diminished/modified their kitchen space to accomodate indoor plumbing. ( A wise choice!)
Electric fixtures are also original in the bedroom, living room and office spaces with the high ceilings, oak floors and woodwork.
The entry to the apartment is a side porch with a stone step-up which is not found in modern construction; however, it is also original and quite charming.

In the mid 1940's this building was once the very popular Tremain Brothers Lunchroom, and the main road through Jefferson City was present day McCarty. Jefferson City natives fully recognize the location as the Tremain Building, so named today.

Building 319 houses the Fitness Center in its basement. The Fitness Center features a Peloton bike, treadmill, plyometric box, cable machine, and free weights. It is accessible using each guest’s specific code.

Each building has a full kitchen in the lobby area. Please be respectful of your fellow guests when cooking and clean up any messes you create will using the kitchen.

Each building has a large co-working space located in the lobby area. This area is designed for small group work and individuals wanting to separate their work space from their living space. A printer, conference tables, standing desks, and small office items are provided to help aid you in accomplishing your work while you stay with us.

Guest enjoy free use of our hybrid Trek bikes and kayaks! Guests can send in a reservation 24 hours prior to rental and our team will have them ready for pick-up in the Fitness Center.

Welcome to Jefferson City! Our apartment is located in the Historic Prison District just around the corner from several amazing restaurants. Even better, we are only one mile from the capitol and our beautiful, iconic downtown where you can shop, visit one of our local coffee shops, grab lunch at Arris' Pizza....so many things! Not to mention the Missouri State Penitentiary is right around the corner where you can take one of the tours during the day or the Ghost Tour at night!
The space
The apartment is located on the second and third floors of the building above a business. It is two levels of living space. The living room, kitchen, full sized bedroom and full bath are located on the 2nd floor level and the master bedroom with king sized bed and another full bath with laundry is on the third floor. The couch in the living room is a queen sized fold out couch. There are approximately 15 steps to the second floor and approximately another 12 steps to the third floor.

The apartment building is blue with a sign on the front for Shed, Bath & Beyond Grooming. This is the business that occupies the first floor of the building.
Our driveway is to the left of the building when looking at it. You may drive straight back and turn right to park directly behind the building. If you have more than two vehicles, you will need to park the additional ones on the street.

Featuring abundant outdoor space with covered patios, sidewalks, grills, yard games, and more. Each building encompasses 13 private flats on one-level living. Shared common space includes the entry/lounge area, co-working space complete with coffee bar, full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a fitness and entertainment center. Bicycles and kayaks are free and can be used at Binder Lake for your outdoor adventure and can be found in our entertainment center for guest use. All amenities, including laundry, are free to our guests.
The Suite Apartment
The fully renovated modern suite is designed around the needs of the mid to long-term traveler. Our suite features an open concept kitchenette and living area. The kitchenette comes with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven/air fryer, and mid-size fridge. Dishware, flatware, and basic kitchen items are provided. The private bedroom is located off of the living room and kitchenette. A walk-in closet with ample shelving and space is directly across from the bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. All linens are complimentary and provided in each room. For entertainment, enjoy high speed internet and 2 flat screen TVs. All guest have access to outdoor spaces, entry/lounge, co-working, fitness and entertainment center, and laundry.
