Enjoy a retreat for two in Sunrise Beach with all the amenities you can imagine! The Powell Guesthouse Cottage is located in a private subdivision at the 8MM in Sunrise Beach, MO. The Guesthouse was the personal living space of the owners for 5 years, and they are now opening this space up for you to enjoy. Great views, privacy, hot tub, and lots of outdoor spaces as well as having access to the swim dock and the waterfront as well.
Perfect for two!

You have your own parking space, hot tub jacuzzi with an outdoor TV, wood burning fire pit, BBQ grill, propane patio heater, outdoor lounge spaces, deck, as well as the privacy of the open concept 720 sq feet living space retreat. In addition, you are welcome to come down to the lakefront and take advantage of the dock amenities and lounge spaces as well. Feel free to take the kayaks or paddle boards out, or use the swim mat for floating. There are plenty of resort style lounge chairs for tanning and patio furniture on the dock. Enjoy watching the fish swim at night around the fish light, and watch the amazing sunsets. The owners keep their boat on the lift year around, so if you are bringing a boat, you will have to find a slip at the local marina.

The owners have thought of everything, so if you need anything, just ask.

The owners or other rental guests may stay in the Lakehouse, closest to the lakefront, have their own personal outdoor area and their own hot tub. You, the Guest, have the same private areas (outdoor spaces and hot tub) at the Guesthouse as well. The owners use to rent the Lakehouse and live in the Guesthouse since 2014. They put everything they didn’t have in the Lakehouse into the Guesthouse like a 55” TV, king size therapeutic mattress, large kitchen, outdoor TV, outdoor speakers, front load washer and dryer, and walk in shower. Now it’s your chance to stay in the owner’s space while they update the Lakehouse below. The views at the top of the property are amazing! You are welcome to use the upper deck called the ‘Monkey Bar” as well.

Please use plastic or aluminum cans when drinking around the hot tub and at the lakefront, especially the dock. Too many bare feet during the summer and this keeps everyone safe.

We are a no smoking property. Please no smoking inside the house, this includes vaping. We have set an ashtray outside on the patio for you. You are free to vape and smoke outside only.

The guesthouse is for two adults only, sorry no kids, and no pets. It is your chance to get away from these responsibilities and enjoy the lake. Let us know if you are celebrating a special birthday or anniversary and we will leave you something special for the occasion.

There are security cameras outside particularly, the driveway and staircases for safety reasons only. There are no security camera in or near the Guest’s private outdoor spaces.

The owners usually stay in the lower lakehouse or it is also available for rent. The way the property is designed, the Guesthouse sits at the top of the hill and the Lakehouse sits closest to the lake. Both owners/guests or guests/guests from the Lakehouse and the Guesthouse share the dock. The dock has two separate seating areas. There are two kayaks, two paddle boards, and two large lily pad mats. The way the property is set up, Guesthouse guests will walk down the concrete path to the dock.

CLEANING FEE is included in the price of the nightly rate. The owners pride themselves on being super clean and fully stocking the Guesthouse with everything you would need including trash bags, paper towels, laundry soap, shampoo and toiletries, dishwashing soap, hand sanitizer and even toilet paper!

The owner is a cook, so she has stocked the kitchen with more than the basics and even has a fresh herb garden lakeside if you need thyme, rosemary, mint, dill, parsley, or oregano.

Capacity for 7, This retro Cabin has the original 1050”s knotty pine walls and ceiling. Just beautiful remodeled, private entrance, spearhead heating, and cooling in. Full kitchen stocked with everything to make great meals, gas grill, family room with Smart WIFI Tv, queen bedroom, and bunk room with 2 twins, and 2 Fulls. Enjoy all the water toys on the dock, lily pad, kayaks, and boat slip. Nice fire pit to make s’mores. So many extras for staying with us.

While the location is wooded and somewhat remote you will be surrounded by neighboring cabins and residences occupied by other vacationers and full time residents and their pets.

The cabin is less than 3 hours from Kansas City and St. Louis and less than a 1/2 day from Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Kansas. Major highways lead to the lake with blacktop roads up to the entry of the neighborhood. Neighborhood roads are gravel.

NO SMOKING or VAPING: This is a smoke-free property, including inside the property or on the deck. Smoking is permitted in the fire pit area.

PETS: Pets are welcome! Up to 1-2 dogs are allowed. A pet fee of $50 per stay applies. No cats, or other animals without prior permission from the host. Failure to register pets, by adding pet guests to the reservation or notifying the host, will result in a $150 fine, not including any damages.

NO TRAILER, RV, or OVERSIZED VEHICLE PARKING is allowed along the road or driveway to this property. The neighborhood road is narrow with tight turns, restricting trailer, RV, and oversized vehicle parking. There are designated parking areas for such vehicles within walking distance—please check with the host if you plan to bring a boat, trailer, RV, or other oversized vehicle.
PETS Pets are allowed. No more than 2 dogs permitted. A pet fee of $50 per stay will be applied to your reservation. You MUST register your pet guests with the host.

This unit sleeps 6 adults, but both units in the duplex can be rented to sleep up to 12 people when combined! There is a shared shallow water dock with a 10x20 slip available for renter use! This rental is all about LOCATION. Just minutes away from some of the lakes most popular lakeside bars and restaurants such as Captain Ron’s, The Cave, and Frankie & Louie’s, many of which have beaches or pools. This rental is also close to many boat rental locations, Ha Ha Tonka State Park, and the Bridal Cave!

Sunrise Beach is home to many of the lakes most popular lakeside bars and restaurants, including Captain Ron’s which is the home to the world-famous Shootout. Just ten minutes away is the lakes newest attraction The Cave, that features a bar, restaurants, and in-ground pool inside of an actual cave! You can swim in the lake at the beaches at Captain Ron’s or Frankie & Louie’s. You can also rent a boat for your trip at either Pirates Point and Frankie & Louie’s!
