This beautiful caboose, built in September1955, has been completely restored/renovated with its own private driveway, and perched on a bluff in Tehachapi overlooking the train tracks at Cable. Outside you will find a large wrap around porch to enjoy the 180-degree view of The Eastern Sierras, up to 40 freight trains per day winding their way through the canyon below and gorgeous sunrise/sunsets along with the abundance of wildlife. Retrofitting the space outfitted with modern amenities such as a full size 1.75-bathroom, bedroom with queen size bed and kitchen outfitted with electric stove, microwave, oven and a large refrigerator. Blending the comforts of home with a historical significance, this unique tiny home offers a truly special experience. Get away from it all on our 2-1/2-acre hobby farm and vineyard in Tehachapi, California. Enjoy clean mountain air, happy farm animals, gorgeous starry nights and peaceful evenings relaxing in the cool evening air.

Our darling little travel trailer is newly remodeled and ready for your visit. There is a separate bedroom with queen size bed complete with a down comforter and beautiful linens. The trailer has heat and air conditioning, so you're covered no matter what the weather. It sits nestled in a quiet spot with its own deck and chiminea.

We are an active hobby farm with lots of farm animals including cows, goats, sheep, chickens, a mini donkey, barn cats and our friendly guardian dog Juliet. The safety of our guests and animals is of utmost importance to us, therefore, we ask that you please do not open or climb over any fences or gates. If you want to visit with our friendly animals, we'll be happy to introduce you and provide healthy snacks for them. Please do not feed them anything other than the snacks we provide.

We welcome your well behaved, potty-trained doggies and ask that for their safety and the safety of our animals that they remain on a leash and under your control when outside. We do charge a $40 pet fee, so if you wish to bring your pet, please be sure to select the "I'm traveling with a pet" option on the booking page inside the Travelers field. Please be sure to pick up after them. We also respectfully request that they not be allowed on the bed or furniture. If your sweet pooch has to be by your side at all times (and we understand that!), we can provide you with something to cover the furniture. Just let us know.

You will quickly see that this is a quiet and peaceful place. We request that you please follow our quiet hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. If you're interested in helping with morning or evening chores let us know. We are always happy for the help!

To make your stay even lovelier, we have provided you with your own chiminea and Presto logs. There is a lighter in the kitchen drawer. Feel free to make a cozy little fire to enjoy. Before you start your fire, be sure to remove the lid from the top of the chiminea to allow air flow. Just be sure to extinguish all flames before calling it a night.

We also have an awesome outdoor fireplace and are known to get a good fire going on our cool evenings. If we are out there, you are welcome to join us. Just please don't start your own fire. Our upper patio, enormous farm table and pergola are available for your use. Enjoy them - just be ready to entertain a barn cat or two while you do.

We have a livestock guardian dog - our sweet Juliet - whose job it is to chase away any potential predators to our flock or unwelcome animal visitors that do damage to the farm. You may hear her barking at night. That's a sign that she's doing her job and keeping those bad guys away from our sweet animals.

Tehachapi offers wineries, brew pubs, hiking and biking trails, Native American history, train spotting, antique shopping, and much more. We're happy to provide recommendations of things to do. Just ask!

●The driveways (both ingress and egress) are long, curvy and steep. Anyone driving a motorhome or towing long trailers will need to check with me first for special instructions and permission to come up or go down.

●Weather and vehicle length both need to be considered before arriving due to possible hazards.

●Plenty of room to park at the bottom of the property, but there will be an extra fee of $28 will be collected if you decide to sleep in an RV or Trailer, please contact me for more details.

●The over night house price is for 10 guests only. With advanced permission it is $35 dollars extra per person. Events of any kind are extra as well. Please run them past me before renting the home.

●I also recommend to anyone placing a reservation to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking, in the case of a cancellation, due to either a personal emergency or major weather events and road closures.

Fireplace Usage
Please do not use the indoor fireplace as it can cause smoke to fill the house. We appreciate your understanding and recommend enjoying the outdoor fireplace instead for a cozy evening by the fire.

Kitchen knives could be a tinge sharper and coffee mugs/some kitchenware could use an upgrade. We stayed during a weekend when the temp was in the 90s during the day, the heat upstairs was really felt at night. If you sleep in an air conditioned space, you may want to come during colder months. The downstairs was a non-issue and the basement was the coldest room. The pool was cold (that is statement, not a complaint), we were aware that the pool was not heated. The inside felt more like a cabin in the woods - not in the creepy way but in the what you would expect way; bugs, mosquitos, spiderwebs, patchy cell service, par internet, older appliances. All in all, this home reminded us so much of what life use to be like. It was simple and kinda amazing all in one. there were board games and lots of grass to play in. The breeze was nice. The graciously large wrap around porch served as "the place to be". Everyone in our group played in the grass, games, sports, tag, etc. There are grocery stores, restaurants, fast food places and hiking trails, all within a few minutes. Our group had an amazing time, the distance was really nice between our family members who are spread throughout California and Las Vegas. We would come back anytime (maybe in colder months; we would love to be welcomed back.)"

This split wing floor plan features 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, and is very spacious. Entering through the front door is an open hallway that leads to a great room complete with formal dining which has a large dining room table that can comfortably seat 12, and a grand piano. Past the great room is an open kitchen / living room with a breakfast area. All counters throughout the house are granite, all appliances are stainless steel, and the kitchen comes with everything you need to make a fabulous meal.

The oversized master bedroom with Cal King bed and 60” TV leads into a bathroom with a walk-in shower, soaker tub, and dual sinks. All the linens and towels are freshly laundered and awaiting your arrival. There is also a second master suite with another Cal King bed, 46” TV, and private bathroom. The third and fourth bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house, allowing everyone to spread out and have plenty of privacy. There is also a washer and dryer for your laundry needs.

The backyard has a putting green, natural gas BBQ, play set for children, fire pit.

Tehachapi is called the “Land of Four Seasons” and less than 10 minutes from this home there is plenty to keep you busy. We highly recommend visiting one of our many award winning wineries for a wine tasting, or one of our family farms who sell their organic produce and free range eggs. Visit our Glider Airport and see how NASA pilots would come and learn how to land the Space Shuttle - you can even co-pilot a glider if you wanted! Mountain bike on our popular Lehigh Trails, or hike on the many trails in the Tehachapi Mountain Park. Walk our downtown and while you are there, stop at a beautiful park, or eat at one of our many locally owned and operated restaurants. Our German Bakery and Native American BBQ are both worth a visit. Also, depending on the season, you can catch other events including the Apple Festival, Tehachapi Gran Fondo, Calgonquin Ultra race and 4h of July Fireworks which provide fun for the whole family!

If you are hiking the PCH trail and would like to be picked up and returned to the trailhead, we would be more than happy to come pick you up and drop you off!

The Ranch is hosted by Ilda, who is usually at the property Thursday through Sunday. Ilda is able to help with any issues that may arise during your stay.

The home's custom design, charm and location, makes it an ideal Airbnb choice for the vacationer, or traveler who is looking for a quiet, serene place. We're nestled in the mountains w/ seasonal creeks and critters yet close to town, the famous Tehachapi Loop, and local wineries. Pricing is for a full size bed (comfy for 1, cozy for 2) w/$20 for extra person. We only accept guests who are verified w/ references. Security cameras in public places.

The space
Our home is the perfect B&B for those to rest and rejuvenate, pass through or stay and visit. Our home is comfortable, clean and custom inside and out. Park to the left of the house. Smoking ok outside. You can use my kitchen to make a lite meal or snack. You may put stuff in my fridge and use my microwave and coffee pot. Check in @4:00pm and check out at 10:00. There is an additional charge of $20 for an extra person. Shut off the air conditioner if you are not going to be in the bedroom. Quiet time is between 10pm and 6am. When you leave, you can leave room as is; cleaning lady comes at 10:30a.m. Security cameras located in public places. If you need us, we will be available, otherwise, your privacy will be respected.

Guest access
Guests will have access to all common areas of the house with the exception of the master bedroom, master bath and office. This access will include the use of the closet and chest of drawers in their guest room, refrigerator space, minor use of kitchen for lite meal/snack prep, living room t.v., outside dining area and front porch seating. Smoking permitted outside only. Shut all fans, heaters, and air conditioners off if you are not in the rooms upstairs. Park to the left of the house.

During your stay
We will keep a low profile if preferred, or we are happy to visit with you! We will assist with planning excursions by giving personal opinions or experiences if asked. We will have brochures available that feature local attractions and events. WiFi is available. Park to the left of the house. Beware of deer crossings throughout the neighborhood. I have friendly dogs who will be happy to visit with you outside.

Other things to note
Careful coming in the driveway--there is a bit of a curb. Park to the left of the house. Watch for deer in the neighborhood along the road. There is a window air conditioner in the guest room and extra blankets and pillows in the closet. Shut air conditioner, heaters, and fans off when you are not in the upstairs rooms.
No smoking in the house. Please sign the guest book before you leave. I will provide a shelf for you in the fridge to store food on. You may make a lite meal prep/cook, in the kitchen, The dishwasher is not hooked up, so you have to do your dishes by hand. The hot and cold water handles in your bathroom are opposite. You just need to pull up on the shower hot water handle.

There are hundreds of oak trees and the views are beautiful and there’s even a trail if you’re up for a short hike . At night it is very quiet and you will not hear any City noise or the train and you will enjoy the stars.

Guess are free too walk around the exterior property freely claim the nearby hills or walk on the hike. One can walk on the dirt road and visit the neighboring horses, cows, and sheep. Feel free to hike and explore the outdoors.

We are located in Stallion Springs about 14 miles from the town of Tehachapi
( local grocery stores are in town). We have a cozy guest apartment, located above the garage and detached from the main house. The apt will sleep 4 (2 on the fold out sofa-we also have a feather bed that can be added- and 2 on the double air mattress). We provide coffee/tea, and laundry services for guests as needed. Please note-we air the space out between 24-48 hours between guests and provide contactless entry.

The space
This cozy apartment is located above our garage. The studio is up a flight of stairs. As you park in front of the garage, the apt is on your right. The views from the balcony are spectacular. There are chairs and a table there for your morning coffee or just sit and enjoy the view! We have upgraded our sofa bed that has upgraded to a Tempur-Response Memory form Mattress as well as a new area rug. We also have an EV Charger for an additional charge, we have included pictures of the charger. The cost is 1-12 hours is additional $5.00 per this time segment. Charges for this service will be billed separately via Airbnb.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to sit outside and enjoy the view, depending on the weather. During warmer weather guests are welcome to sit in the back yard under the umbrellas and enjoy the quiet!

Other things to note
If you are planning on cooking, you may want to stop in town and pick up all your food supplies. We have a cooktop, microwave, blender and toaster oven (can accommodate a 12 inch pizza) as well as cookware, silverware and dishes for your use. We are located about 5 miles from the town of Tehachapi (grocery stores and restaurants are in town). We are a working ranch located in the mountains, so don't be surprised if you see or hear coyotes, deer, bobcats, hawks, rabbits, squirrels, quail and lots of birds. Our trusted ranch dogs care for our livestock along with our chickens and ducks, so you may hear a rooster crowing or dogs barking. We have 2 orchards which contain over 100 apple, cherry, peach, apricot, and pear trees. Our neighbors live on 5-20 acres of land, so this is a very quiet and peaceful place. Our neighbor to the west has a farm rescue, Haven4Life Rescue.

You will be staying in a beautiful mountain home sitting up on Alpine Forest at 5400 ft off grid. The home sits on 3 acres and is fenced in and very secluded. We experience four seasons here. You will see lots of wildlife and beautiful mountain scenery.

DISCLAIMER- guest are responsible for all transportation on the mountian. Chains and 4 wheel drive may be required during bad weather. Please plan accordingly.

The house has a open floor plan, Living room, Dining room and Kitchen. There are three bedrooms, a large master with queen size bed and its own bathroom a second guest bedroom with a queen bed, connected to the guest bathroom and a third smaller bedroom with a twin trundle bed. There is also a sunroom that connects to the front deck area from the living room. Laundry room with a full washer and dryer.

This house is in upper Alpine Forest about 20 mins from downtown Tehachapi. The last 1/3 mile is on well maintained dirt roads. The house sits on 3 acres fenced in and is very secluded with ample parking etc. You will not see any other houses as far as you can see from the property.

POWER
This home is off grid meaning that it uses solar panels charge batteries to run all power in the home. When the Batteries get low the propane generator will need to be started.
There is a gage read out in the laundry room back left closet by the water heater Please monitor it and if it gets down to 46 the generator must be started.

The space
The trailer at Breezy Hill Farm and Vineyard is your gateway to everything fun and farmy.

We are an active hobby farm with lots of friendly farm animals including cows, goats, sheep, chickens, a goose, a mini donkey, cats and our very friendly livestock guardian dog. We would be happy to introduce you to them and will provide healthy snacks if you want to get up close and personal. If you're interested in helping with morning or evening animal chores let us know. We are always happy for the help!

We love our little farm life and try to grow a lot of our own food in our orchard and vegetable garden.

There is always something to do here with the animals and the property, but we also make time to enjoy this special place.

We have beautiful views in every direction. At 4,000-foot elevation, we enjoy all four seasons. Our evenings are cool and breezy, just perfect to sit and enjoy the outdoors. There isn't a lot of ambient light, so the nights are perfect for stargazing. In fact, there's rarely a night when we don't see shooting stars and sometimes even the International Space Station passing by.

And because our climate is perfect for it, we have provided you with your own chiminea and Presto logs. Feel free to make a cozy little fire to enjoy. Just be sure to extinguish all flames before calling it a night.

We also have an awesome outdoor fireplace and are known to get a good fire going on our cool evenings. If we are out there, you are welcome to join us. Our patio, enormous farm table and pergola are available for your use. Enjoy them - just be ready to entertain a friendly barn cat or two.

We also have a livestock guardian dog - our sweet Juliet - whose job it is to chase away any potential predators to our flock or unwelcome animal visitors that do damage to the farm. You may hear her barking at night. That is a sign that she is doing her job and keeping those bad guys away from our sweet animals.

You will have access to the trailer, of course, but also the upper property where we have our vineyard and two pastures for the cows. The outdoor fireplace area has plenty of seating options under the giant pergola.

There is a gate that separates the upper part of the property from our private residence. But we would be happy to give you a tour of the lower part of the property where the sheep, goats and chickens live if you like.

Other things to note
We are on a dirt road which can get pretty muddy and slippy when we have heavy rains. During times of heavy snow, it is possible that the 58 Freeway to our town may be closed. We recommend you check weather and road conditions if you are coming up during the winter.

The house with the best views in all of Tehachapi! Come visit this amazing cabin in Stallion Springs. Only 20 minutes to downtown Tehachapi and not too high up in elevation, this 'one of a kind' home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a large loft area with a futon and plenty of space for yoga, reading, or relaxing. The deck sits right on the edge of a cliff (but don't worry, there is a fence) where you can enjoy the peaceful area and all the amazing wildlife! Over an acre of flat fenced in area.

The space
This 2 acre property has over an acre fenced in with a front gate. The house is at the back of the property with incredible views from inside and outside of the house. There is incredible wildlife almost daily, from deer, elk, bobcats, hawks and occasionally condors! It is on a quiet cul-de-sac that is 5 minutes to lower Stallion Springs, and 20 minutes to downtown Tehachapi. Also, it's only 10 minutes to most Tehachapi wineries in Cummings Valley.

Guests can access the entire house and fenced in areas of the property, but the tuff shed will be locked and the gate to the cliff will be locked as well. Small children are not allowed to go up the ladder or be in the loft area.

Other things to note
Dog friendly rental, but 2 dogs is the maximum allowed. Cats are not allowed due to allergies. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture, including beds. Pet fee is $20 per night, so please add the pets when you reserve so this fee can be added.

4 overnight guests maximum, and no additional visitors are allowed on the property during your stay.

The space
You will have the entire home to yourself, and will share a backyard (patio & jacuzzi) with our other home on the property. The parking space is reserved for guests staying in "The Loft", but there is ample street parking right in front of the home.

Downstairs are the bathroom, living, and kitchen areas. There are French doors in the kitchen that lead to a shared courtyard with seating and a separate enclosed hot tub area.

Upstairs there are two private bedrooms that each have AC and Heating. The Flat is furnished with two comfortable queen size beds, side tables and reading lights.
