Nestled against the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this unique landscape is surrounded by vast rounded granite rock formations, arches, and hills spread over an area of about 30,000 acres and formed over millions of years through the process of erosion, creating a surreal and picturesque environment.

The 3 story house sits on a 4 acre property with rock formations is cornered by Bureau of Land Management (BLM), giving guest unobstructed views with access to some of the most beautiful hikes and incredible panoramic views.

Relax and take in the beautiful surroundings on the large front porch furnished with comfortable chairs, sofa, rustic wooden table and propane BBQ. Enjoy quails and rabbits roaming freely, adding a touch of charm and tranquility to the scene with a stunning backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Inside offers 3 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The 2 large guest bedrooms and master bedroom all include access to balconies overlooking unique granite rock formations and stunning views of Owens Valley and Inyo Mountains. The loft includes a sitting area with a twin size trundle beds for kids.

This Spanish bungalow is a desert oasis nestled in the heart of Lone Pine and with mountain views to the west and east. Whether you're climbing Mt. Whitney, visiting Death Valley, hiking to Cottonwood Lakes, or rock climbing in the Alabama Hills, this home is a relaxing retreat at the end of your day. You can enjoy a cup of coffee while you watch the butterflies in the garden and have a glass of wine in the evening watching the sun set on the Inyo Mtns. Main St which has shops and restaurants is a 10 minute walk away.

This vintage home has unique, antique features with a modern update. The living room features hardwood floors, large paned window, vintage fireplace, and a large vintage machine desk to work at.

The backroom has a large comfy couch with a 50inch TV. The TV has a Firestick with Netflix, Hulu, and HBO.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook - pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. Coffee and tea are also provided. There is also a coffee maker, french press, and electric coffee grinder.

During the Spring and Summer you can help yourself to vegetables in the garden and enjoy hanging out in the secluded backyard.

Both bedrooms have queen sized beds with Egyptian Cotton sheets. Plus a variety of pillows - firm and soft down feather pillows. Both beds have a down comforter and extra blankets are provided so you'll be sleeping in luxury.

The bathroom has a shower with a tub and a pedestal sink. Towels are included along with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A hairdryer is also provided.

Guests have full access of the house, front and back yard.

The few blocks that make up this neighborhood are known at "Little Hollywood." It earned this name in the early 1900s when the richest families of Lone Pine began to settle here.

It's quaint and quiet. Plus there is a farm at the end of the street with llamas, goats, and a mini horse!

There is parking in the driveway and on the street. If you have a large vehicle or need additional parking there is plenty of parking on Line St at the end of the block.

Located in the middle of old downtown, walking distance to everything (groceries store, sporting goods store, several restaurants, bar, a nice park, with a running stream. You can view mount Whitney (the tallest peak in the lower 48 United States) from the front porch.

Our home features well-appointed, comfortable interior spaces and outdoor areas for relaxing and playing on 5 acres of native desert landscape. Outdoor sitting areas around the house provide enchanting views of shifting light on the horizon of rugged mountain lands, and cozy spaces to watch sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and starry night skies.

Perhaps you'd like to prepare a big, leisurely breakfast with your friends and family in our bright, fully-stocked kitchen with stools, lots of counter space, and a high vaulted ceiling, or sip your drink on the deck while gazing at the sunsets over the Eastern Sierra Mountains. It also features a work space and balcony with awe-inspiring views of the ever changing hues of the Inyo Mountains. It is well worth waking up early to catch the sunrise over the Inyo Mountains or even the sunsets coloring the sky.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Both of these rooms share a full bathroom with tub/shower and two sinks.
The second and third bedroom also share a large deck furnished with seating to enjoy the amazing views of the Eastern Sierra mountains or star gaze at night.

The fourth bedroom is downstairs, furnished with a comfortable memory foam queen mattress and detached bathroom with shower. Ideal for the family member that can't do stairs. Once inside the house, it is all one level with easy wheelchair access.

There is also a loft space with a lounge chair to cozy up in solitude with a nice book, listen to music with an old CD collection or just to enjoy the view.

Enjoy the stunning view of Lone Pine Peak and Mount Whitney from our front deck that comes installed with a refreshing mist sprayer extending all the way around the deck to cool you off after a day in the sun! Also enjoy the fire pit in the evening.

The back deck has a bbq, picnic table for dining and Adirondack chairs surrounding a second fire pit. This deck has views of the Inyo Mountains and the large boulder formations of the Alabama hills located on our property!

We provide you with all linens, towels, and many bathroom amenities you may need during your stay, and if there is something else you need, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to accommodate you! Guests are able to use the washer and dryer in the laundry room as well.

Guests have full access to our house and 5 acre property of native desert landscape for your enjoyment, along with direct access to the Alabama Hills Recreation Area from our backyard.

Please be aware of our property line to the west (towards Mt. Whitney) which is noted by wooden posts that extend the length of our property. PLEASE DO NOT CROSS THIS PROPERTY LINE. There is access from the back of our property into BLM land and from there you can hike for miles.

Garage is not included and will remain locked.

Please be mindful of neighboring properties, and respect their privacy and quiet. We also have a seasonal creek which flows through the center of our property, please cross with caution. The property and nearby areas are also home to many native plants, wild animals, snakes, rodents and arachnida.
Please enjoy viewing, but avoid disturbing the fragile plants and wildlife that live there. Please enjoy and explore with care.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
1. THERE IS NO HUNTING ON OUR PROPERTY OR IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD.
2. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE OFF ROAD VEHICLES ON OUR PROPERTY. There are
trails in the area where it is permitted.
3. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE PAST THE ROPED OFF AREA PAST OUR DRIVEWAY.
(Our septic tank and leech field are under this path).
4. Only 4 vehicles and 8 people are allowed per county code to stay at our
home at one time.
Other things to note
This is a two story home with one bedroom and bathroom on the bottom floor and three bedrooms upstairs which requires climbing stairs. All houses in the area are on a septic system and therefore, its digestive system is very sensitive and our home can’t handle anything beyond nature and septic safe tissue. PLEASE NO WIPES DOWN THE TOILET, even if it says flushable.

Only issue was the heat was very low on arrival and temps had dropped, so needed a few house to get truly comfortable, but it resolved without issue. The host had good, quick communication. The bed in the primary bedroom is a Therapedic and super comfy. We slept well. The birds on the fringes of the patio were wonderful too. Mobs of quail were a special treat. Jennifer couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. We would definitely return if Lone Pine comes around again in our travels!"

Feel relaxed and comfortable in my country style home . My home is on a 1/2 acre , 2 miles from the Alabama Hills, and 8 miles from Whitney Portal. There is plenty of space inside with a huge backyand front yard.

Modern TINY (16') Home on Wheels was inspired and built with a desire for minimalism, clean lines and efficiency of space. It has all the modern amenities you need in the midst of Nature. Space is sufficient but limited.

Tiny is located inside "Lone Pine Mobile Oasis" RV PARK, on the west side of HWY 395, and Lubken Canyon. There is Hwy noise and there are neighbors. Semi's do drive the Hwy during the night. Please preview location before booking.
The space:
Our home is only 16' long (8'x16') but has a well-equipped kitchenette, full bath with a shower and a conventional toilet.

The kitchenette has the basics and then some... a portable induction cook top, pots and pans, cooking utensils, basic spices and condiments. It also has a Britta water pitcher/ filter for your convenience!

The living / sleeping space is a twin size sofa / daybed with a pull out trundle. The foam mattress size is 38" x 75" for both beds. The top mattress is 8" thick with a weight capacity of 400 lbs and the trundle is 6" thick with a weight capacity of 250 lbs. This may not have enough support or may be uncomfortable for some including someone over 6'2".

The dining space has a movable coffee table /bench /shoe rack/ storage with locking brakes and a lift up dining table / office desk.
The bench also stores the 2nd comforter for the bottom bed.

TINY is very well insulated with Rockwool in all walls, ceiling and floor, has a built in wall AC/Heater with remote control, dual pane windows and doors, tinted glass and black out remote controlled shades for your comfort and enjoyment.

TINY only has 50 amps of power and the on demand water heater requires 50 amps. Only 2 lights are able to be used while taking a hot shower. THE BREAKER MAY SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NEED TO BE RESET. This hasn't happened in over a year but, just in case.

CAUTION: Things appear smaller than they feel like inside!
Driving up you may think, "OMG, it's so small", but after you step inside, you will hopefully feel, "WOW, it feels bigger than it looks".

The 395 highway may be too close and light sleepers may feel it is still too noisy. Please do not book and leave a bad review if this would bother you.

During the Spring and Summer you can help yourself to vegetables in the garden and enjoy hanging out in the secluded backyard.

Both bedrooms have queen sized beds with Egyptian Cotton sheets. Plus a variety of pillows - firm and soft down feather pillows. Both beds have a down comforter and extra blankets are provided so you'll be sleeping in luxury.

There are three bedrooms, three baths, two queen beds, a king size bed, and an extra single bed with a collapsible frame to use if needed. Dont worry about bringing your own water my house has a well and the water comes straight from Mt. Whitney. THIS IS NOT CLOSE TO SEQUOIAS, BUT AIRBNB PUT IT ON THE LISTING AND WONT REMOVE IT!

Large country style home 8 miles from Mt Whitney Portal and 5 miles from Alabama Hills. There is a huge backyard , plenty of parking, a living room, a fire room, a dining room and kitchen, three bedrooms, and three baths . The space
The property is situated in at the western edge of a small rural neighborhood, with unobstructed views of the Sierra Nevada. There is a main house for guests and an adjacent cottage where the hosts live.

Guest access
Guests have access to the main house with its two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. There is a back porch with furniture for lounging and dining. The front porch has chairs and hammocks for lounging. The one acre yard offers opportunities for exploration and is fully available to our guests. There are two parking spaces for guests in the driveway, which is shared with the hosts.

The hosts live on site in an adjacent house.

Other things to note
The weather in the Owens Valley and the Eastern Sierra varies greatly throughout the year. Our house sits at 4600 ft above sea level and is considered to be in the high desert. In general terms, the winters are cold, the summers are hot and spring and fall can be more mild. There are times when the wind blows very hard. Due in part to the dryness of the air and the high altitude, the temperature difference between day and night is usually about 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
In short, please look at the weather forecast for Lone Pine before your visit and plan accordingly. The house is equipped with electric wall heaters, a wood burning stove and a central evaporative cooler to help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.

Reo’s Ranch is located in the Alabama Hills in a stunning natural area located near the town of Lone Pine in California. Nestled against the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this unique landscape is surrounded by vast rounded granite rock formations, arches, and hills spread over an area of about 30,000 acres and formed over millions of years through the process of erosion, creating a surreal and picturesque environment.

The 3 story house sits on a 4 acre property with rock formations is cornered by Bureau of Land Management (BLM), giving guest unobstructed views with access to some of the most beautiful hikes and incredible panoramic views.

Relax and take in the beautiful surroundings on the large front porch furnished with comfortable chairs, sofa, rustic wooden table and propane BBQ. Enjoy quails and rabbits roaming freely, adding a touch of charm and tranquility to the scene with a stunning backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Inside offers 3 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The 2 large guest bedrooms and master bedroom all include access to balconies overlooking unique granite rock formations and stunning views of Owens Valley and Inyo Mountains. The loft includes a sitting area with a twin size trundle beds for kids.

The stunning large kitchen designed for culinary delights, drinks, and breathtaking views. The large downstairs basement area host a laundry room with full size washer and dryer, legal size pool table and ping pong table with access to the back 4 acre property. This back area includes a large outdoor glass dining table, 4 Adirondack Chairs, hammock and outdoor clawfoot bathtub (cold) with access to acres of unobstructed hiking.

Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast looking to conquer Mt. Whitney, a photographer of the stars, a western film buff, or just want to get away from civilization, this picturesque destination is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Guest have unrestricted access to the house and 4 acres on the property. We are also surrounded by open federal land “BLM” with access to hiking paths (no OHV vehicles).

Other things to note
It can get very windy up here and weather can change quickly so check the forecast and prepare accordingly. The sun is also very powerful so bring sunscreen and chapstick.
There have been sightings of bears, coyotes, snakes and other wildlife so note you are in nature’s country.

The house, situated on a 6+ acre parcel of rock spires, huge boulders and stunning views, is a magical place of respite from civilization, yet only ten minutes to town. The house offers sprawling decks, Wolf range, gas BBQ and gas fire pit.

The space
The house is a pristine prefab modern home on 6+ secluded acres set amidst rock spires and huge boulders from the Jurassic, between 140-200 million years ago. It's located at 4,600' elevation where spectacular desert meets the eastern escarpment of the Sierra Nevada.

The cleanliness, elegance and comfort you'll find inside make for a welcome contrast to the rugged frontier around you. Creature comforts include a new heating and A/C system and electric fireplace. All glass is double-pane.

The home is wrapped by a sprawling deck - every room has a sliding door leading outside, so indoor and outdoor living flow together. The flooring is hardwood floors except in the bedrooms, and the deck is made of a soft synthetic material that you can walk on in bare feet.

The bedrooms and living areas are well-appointed with stylish furniture. The kitchen has a Wolf range, dishwasher, microwave and coffeemaker and French press. There's a separate laundry room with washer and dryer. Outside features a gas fire pit and built-in gas BBQ. The home has high-speed WI-FI and a large-screen TV with a Roku device for Netflix or Amazon streaming, and a collection of DVD's (cable TV isn't available in Lone Pine).

As you look out from any room your gaze will be captivated by magnificent rocks and towering mountains - the Inyo Mountains to the east and Sierra Nevada to the west. Across the street is parkland. Guests often see birds of prey and occasionally a bobcat. There's fishing within a five-minute drive. Whitney Portal is only 20 minutes away.

Some of the most beautiful rock formations are those on and around the property. From the front deck you see Whale Rock, a spire that looks like a breaching whale. At the edge of the rear deck you’re standing beneath Massive Rock, an 80-foot monolith. Stroll up the hill and you can sit on a boulder and look at Mt. Whitney, highest point in the 48 states.

The living spaces and three of the bedrooms, including the master, are open and accessible to guests. My bedroom, which I keep locked, isn't available to guests. The spa is not in use.

This is a legally-permitted short term rental: Inyo Co. License #201APN026-280-06. Guests must strictly observe the House Rules. The nightly price includes a base rate plus (12%) transient occupancy tax. Weekly and monthly rates are calculated using the same base rate + occupancy tax formula.

The house is in a frontier location. Internet is usually reliable but not guaranteed. Watch your toddlers and animals outside, there may be snakes, spiders, or coyotes. Some guests have reported seeing a bobcat.

We have enjoyed the past year renovating and decorating the house, giving it an eclectic and homey feel. The large living room is great for dining, yoga, making art and finding your own little nook. New appliances throughout.

Please note that although we do have central heat the cooling system is a swamp cooler and ceiling fans.

The Lone Hunter Ranch is named after the town of Lonepine and the road that it lives but to me it also represents the "lonehunter "in us that travels in search of adventure, purpose and simplicity. Outdoor sitting areas around the house provide enchanting views of shifting light on the horizon of rugged mountain lands, and cozy spaces to watch sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and starry night skies.

Perhaps you'd like to prepare a big, leisurely breakfast with your friends and family in our bright, fully-stocked kitchen with stools, lots of counter space, and a high vaulted ceiling, or sip your drink on the deck while gazing at the sunsets over the Eastern Sierra Mountains. Just relax and bask in the quiet serenity. The living room, during the summer, features an inviting, wrap around couch, 55" flat screen tv, and bluetooth sound bar. In the winter, the living room moves into the room with the fireplace. Perhaps one of the most exciting features - our game area offers a great space to entertain with a ping pong table, board games and table to set up with snacks to fuel your fun and keep the competitions going.

The mid century designed master bedroom has a new queen bed with a very comfortable Tuft & Needle Adaptive® foam mattress, and private bathroom with newly tiled shower and double sink. It also features a work space and balcony with awe-inspiring views of the ever changing hues of the Inyo Mountains. It is well worth waking up early to catch the sunrise over the Inyo Mountains or even the sunsets coloring the sky.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Both of these rooms share a full bathroom with tub/shower and two sinks.
The second and third bedroom also share a large deck furnished with seating to enjoy the amazing views of the Eastern Sierra mountains or star gaze at night.

The fourth bedroom is downstairs, furnished with a comfortable memory foam queen mattress and detached bathroom with shower. Ideal for the family member that can't do stairs. Once inside the house, it is all one level with easy wheelchair access.

There is also a loft space with a lounge chair to cozy up in solitude with a nice book, listen to music with an old CD collection or just to enjoy the view.

Enjoy the stunning view of Lone Pine Peak and Mount Whitney from our front deck that comes installed with a refreshing misters extending all the way around the deck to cool you off after a day in the sun! Also enjoy the fire pit in the evening.

The back deck has a bbq, picnic table for dining and Adirondack chairs surrounding a second fire pit. This deck has views of the Inyo Mountains and the large boulder formations of the Alabama hills located on our property!

Please be aware of our property line to the west (towards Mt. Whitney) which is noted by wooden posts that extend the length of our property. PLEASE DO NOT CROSS THIS PROPERTY LINE. There is access from the back of our property into BLM land and from there you can hike for miles.

Garage is not included and will remain locked.

Please be mindful of neighboring properties, and respect their privacy and quiet. We also have a seasonal creek which flows through the center of our property, please cross with EXTREME caution. The property and nearby areas are also home to many native plants, wild animals, snakes, rodents and arachnida.
Please enjoy viewing, but avoid disturbing the fragile plants and wildlife that live there. Please enjoy and explore with care.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
1. THERE IS NO HUNTING ON OUR PROPERTY OR IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD.
2. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE OFF ROAD VEHICLES ON OUR PROPERTY. There are
trails in the area where it is permitted.
3. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE PAST THE ROPED OFF AREA PAST OUR DRIVEWAY.
(Our septic tank and leech field are under this path).
4. Only 4 vehicles and 8 people are allowed per county code to stay at our
home at one time.

Other things to note
This is a two story home with one bedroom and bathroom on the bottom floor and three bedrooms upstairs which requires climbing stairs. All houses in the area are on a septic system and therefore, its digestive system is very sensitive and our home can’t handle anything beyond nature and septic safe tissue. PLEASE NO WIPES DOWN THE TOILET, even if it says flushable.
