The house is exactly as described - nicely renovated, clean, and well stocked with everything you need for the perfect beach getaway. The home has a comfortable lay-out, great lighting, and we all enjoyed the pool/lanai area. My 10 y/o son especially loved the ping pong table. The home is located in a quiet location but close to the beach, downtown and grocery shopping. We enjoyed the local beaches and had a great time looking for shark teeth. Sharky's was a fun spot on July 4th and we watched the fireworks show from the beach. Metro diner is nearby and great spot for breakfast. Tom is a great owner who has thought of everything and is very responsive to any needs or questions. There is a good chance my son will be back in Venice next summer if that happens - we can't wait to book the Lemon Tree House again! Thanks Tom!"

We have included most kitchen amenities (Keurig, regular programmable coffee maker, waffle iron, pots and pans, microwave, toaster, coffee grinder, blender, iron and ironing board). Venice Villas is a two-story condo complex with several efficiencies/studios on both floors. It consists of studios either in the front or back side of the building. My unit faces directly the beach and is on the ground floor. The unit's door opens directly to the beach entrance with unblocked views and is just steps away from the beach/sea. I included a photo with the view from the unit. The Gazebo is where the beach starts. Approx. (less than) 2 min. walk to reach the sea. It is also the closest to the wonderful semi-Olympic size pool.

Conveniently located approx. 75 minutes from Tampa Int'l Airport and accommodates ideally two people. The living and bedroom area in the same room just like a comfortable and nicely decorated decent size hotel room.

The unit has a kitchenette with two burners, a smaller size fridge with freezer compartment and basic cooking utensils. There is free high speed wifi installed in the condo.

The location of the studio is midway between the fishing pier and downtown - both around 15 - 20 minute walks away. For those who are familiar with Venice - my favorite is strolling in downtown Venice or walking briskly on the beach 20 minutes to Sharky's (A beach side restaurant), watch the sunset with a margarita and walk back.
What do other's do? They search for historic shark teeth, sun bathe, swim or fish - right from the beach.

Venice is a short drive from Sarasota - another similarly affluent city with well developed arts scene, the Ringling Museum, Botanical Gardens and a variety of fine dining options... A quick online search can provide more details.

For those travelling overseas - Orlando (2 hrs), Naples (1 hr), Miami
(3 hr) are all great day trip options... St. Petersburg and Tampa can be reached within less than 90 minutes. For shoppers, in addition to local Venice boutiques, Ellenton Factory Outlet is also a short drive away (approx. 20 min.)

This is ultimately a "beach" place for those seeking serenity and enjoy Florida activities from fishing to fine dining...

Welcome to a little piece of paradise in the South!

- "First off the host reached out and informed us that we could check in early and that wasnt the last we heard of him. He promptly replied to a question we had about the cable TV and the rest of the week he regularly checked in on us to make sure our stay was perfect. The unit had everything we needed for the weeks stay for me and my wife and also included some extras in the form of supplies used in our hunt for fossilized sharks teeth which is the main reason we went to Venice in the first place lol. We found 130 teeth and couldn't be any happier. Reviews told us that Casperson Beach just a couple of miles south was the best of all Venice to find shark teeth. Well.. we went and we quickly realized that the beach we are staying at had A LOT MORE... so dont waste the trip. The beach is only a 2 minute walk and we are used to having to take elevators, stairs, etc.. just to get outside of the resort so it was VERY comforting to know all we had to do is step out the door and walk in a straight line to get to the beach. The water is very clear and I was able to see fish and rarer shells that hadn't made it to shore yet while snorkeling. There is a shower and sprayer to rinse off when you get off the beach also. The almost Olympic sized pool was as clean as it could be and was refreshing and relaxing. There is also a shower and sprayer in the pool area. This was a perfect spot for a vacation for me and my wife and the unit was perfect in every way and we will definitely be back"

Venice Villas is a condominium complex with several ground level one bedroom units. This condo is an end unit with lots of light with direct access to the beach within less than a two minute walk before your feet feel the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico!

The unit's door opens directly to a nice common garden and as soon as you turn right the beach will come to your view. (Please watch the 1 minute video - image #3 - to see the exact location.) The unit is ideally situated also with a 1 or 2 minute walk to our wonderful semi-Olympic size pool.

This unit has 1 over sized bedroom with 1 queen and 1 twin bed. There is a full closet as well. The kitchen has a range, an 18 inch (small size) dishwasher and fully equipped for extended stays.

Being built in the 1950's the bathroom is in the smaller side. While fully functional and with generous shelving for toiletries, if you need and wish a large shower and require plenty of space in the bathroom - please note this point.

It is approx. 75 minutes from Tampa Int'l Airport and accommodates ideally two or three people.

The location of the studio is midway between the fishing pier and downtown - both around 15 - 20 minute walks away. For those who are familiar with Venice - my favorite is strolling in downtown Venice or walking briskly on the beach 20 minutes to Sharky's (A beach side restaurant), watch the sunset with a margarita and walk back.

What do other's do? They search for historic shark teeth, sunbathe, swim or fish - right from the beach.

Venice is a short drive from Sarasota - another similarly affluent city with well developed arts scene, the Ringling Museum, Botanical Gardens and a variety of fine dining options... A quick online search can provide more details.

For the beach goer, we provide 4 beach chairs, a beach wagon, a large beach umbrella, 3 coolers (S, M, L), beach bag, 9x10 beach blanket, 2 shark tooth rakes with sifter. We also provide 2 bicycles with helmets.

The backyard is fully fenced in. The pool is 14' x 25'. The screened in lanai has a covered porch with a sofa. Around the pool is a patio dining table with umbrella, 2 lounge chairs with cushions, and a BBQ Grill (propane included). There’s plenty of beach towels and Turkish towels.

Come experience Old Florida in our circa 1957 Mid-Century Modern home! It boasts open living areas with the bedrooms on one wing of the house. A glassed in lanai stretches across the entire back of the house. The floors are original terrazzo. There are many vintage furnishings throughout the house.

You will enjoy the large kitchen with original working cooktop and oven. It is well stocked and very pink!

Flamingo House has two bedrooms. The master has a king sized bed, and the second bedroom has a queen. Between the bedrooms you will find a beautiful vintage tiled bathroom that has been recently updated. We also have a laundry room/half bath combo, and we recently installed an outdoor shower!

There is a full sized sleeper in the living room as well as a roll away bed. The sofa on the lanai is quite comfy as well! You will find the laundry and half bath off the kitchen. In the mudroom you will find plenty of chairs and toys for the beach. We even have a sifter for all the sharks teeth you will find at the beach!

There are many public beaches close by. Manasota Beach is about 3 miles south of us. It has bathroom facilities and public parking. Blind Pass Beach, 8 miles south of us, is a state park with free parking, bathhouse facilities, and wide beaches. There are several excellent public beaches on Venice Island, including a dog beach.

Built in 2018, our Tiny House is in a gated resort with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Master bedroom has a queen bed, double closet and a tv with satellite. Second bedroom has a queen bed with single closet with drawers. Living room has tv with satellite. Ducted central air and heat means no hot or cold spots! No window rattlers and no “split units”! Washer and dryer in home, along with a full sized, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher! Concrete driveway is great for motorcycles. Studio apartment just 5 minutes from Venice Beach and 10 minutes to Nokomis Beach where the famous drum circle takes place every Saturday night! We are located on a quiet street but close to downtown Venice, shopping, highway and beaches.

Private entrance and parking with beach chairs and towels available. Queen size bed, full bathroom and kitchen. (No oven, but you will have a 2 burner hot plate, toaster oven, and full size refrigerator.) Entrance to the unit is at the back of my house and enters through the bathroom.

The space
I am five minutes from Casperson Beach and Venice Beach. Siesta Key is a half hour north and Manasota Key is 20 minutes south. Close to restaurants and downtown Venice, it’s the perfect location for day trips in any direction.

Guest access
Guests will access the room through the garage utility door. It’s a private entrance to the guest bedroom and bath. There is also a lanai available to guests through an outside entrance near the guest room.

I try to meet guests when they come in. I’m always available for questions or anything my guests might need. But mostly want to give them their privacy.

Ramblers Rest Resort is an all-age RV Park in Florida located along the Myakka River in Venice. It’s tranquil and wooded and just a short drive away from the Gulf of Mexico. Close to Sarasota, North Port - Warm Mineral Springs, a natural spring that is known for its healing properties filled with high mineral content & a 87F water temperature. Also known as the Fountain of youth. There is plenty to do like fine dining, shopping, golfing, boating etc.

The space
The place has a King size Bed and also a queen sleeper. It is ideal for a couple adults and the sleeper can be used for a guest or children.

Guests have access to the entire place and can use all the amenities at the park including gym, hot tub jacuzzi and heated pool.

Other things to note
I allow well behaved dogs for a daily fee. A code is needed in order to access some of the amenities, that is written on a note on the fridge inside my place. Internet is still not back in place in the park and guest need to make their own arrangements like Hot spots to get service.

Venice Island where everything is within reach! The charming downtown with shops and numerous delicious restaurants is 1 mile away. Sharkey's tikibar and Fins restaurant are even closer! The nearest beach (.5mi.) is the spot for sunsets and happy hour fun overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The island has numerous gulf beaches, golf course, tennis, bike paths, boating, fishing and more! Beautiful Sarasota/ Siesta Key is 20 mi. away.

The space
This super clean, updated, second floor condo has everything you need for a wonderful stay on Venice Island. It features an open floor plan with siders opening to the screened lanai. The kitchen has been updated and includes everything you need for meals at home. There are two bedrooms; the main bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, tv and a slider out to the lanai, the secondary bedroom has twin beds and a ceiling fan. The washer/dryer are inside the condo. Ample linens and towels are included. You will love the lanai for morning coffee and and evening drinks. There is a new AC system and HW heater and WIFI is included with streaming capability. Condo application required for all guests. Copy of valid drivers license or government ID must be send for booking. 1 small well behaved, housebroken dog allowed 25 lb maximum permitted with prior owner approval.

Venice Island is a throw back to California old Hollywood with quiet streets lined with mature trees and beautiful foliage. Our condo is located across the street from Venice public beach and a 3 block walk to the to the quaint town for shopping and enjoying the sights. Relax in the condo swimming pool and club house or walk across the street to the beach. Ride bikes, visit Caspersone beach and park and walk down to the South Jetti for some fishing or for the gorgeous sunset.
