This book is right on as to the things to experiencing joy in the greater Venice, Florida area.Both hosts are very friendly and makes it seem like we’ve known them for years. Venice Villas is a two-story condo complex with several efficiencies/studios on both floors. It consists of studios either in the front or back side of the building. My unit faces directly the beach and is on the ground floor. The unit's door opens directly to the beach entrance with unblocked views and is just steps away from the beach/sea. I included a photo with the view from the unit. The Gazebo is where the beach starts. Approx. (less than) 2 min. walk to reach the sea. It is also the closest to the wonderful semi-Olympic size pool.

Conveniently located approx. 75 minutes from Tampa Int'l Airport and accommodates ideally two people. The living and bedroom area in the same room just like a comfortable and nicely decorated decent size hotel room.

The unit has a kitchenette with two burners, a smaller size fridge with freezer compartment and basic cooking utensils. There is free high speed wifi installed in the condo.

The location of the studio is midway between the fishing pier and downtown - both around 15 - 20 minute walks away. For those who are familiar with Venice - my favorite is strolling in downtown Venice or walking briskly on the beach 20 minutes to Sharky's (A beach side restaurant), watch the sunset with a margarita and walk back.
What do other's do? They search for historic shark teeth, sun bathe, swim or fish - right from the beach.

Venice is a short drive from Sarasota - another similarly affluent city with well developed arts scene, the Ringling Museum, Botanical Gardens and a variety of fine dining options... A quick online search can provide more details.

For those travelling overseas - Orlando (2 hrs), Naples (1 hr), Miami
(3 hr) are all great day trip options... St. Petersburg and Tampa can be reached within less than 90 minutes. For shoppers, in addition to local Venice boutiques, Ellenton Factory Outlet is also a short drive away (approx. 20 min.)

Welcome to a little piece of paradise in the South!

- "First off the host reached out and informed us that we could check in early and that wasnt the last we heard of him. He promptly replied to a question we had about the cable TV and the rest of the week he regularly checked in on us to make sure our stay was perfect. The unit had everything we needed for the weeks stay for me and my wife and also included some extras in the form of supplies used in our hunt for fossilized sharks teeth which is the main reason we went to Venice in the first place lol. We found 130 teeth and couldn't be any happier. Reviews told us that Casperson Beach just a couple of miles south was the best of all Venice to find shark teeth. Well.. we went and we quickly realized that the beach we are staying at had A LOT MORE... so dont waste the trip. The beach is only a 2 minute walk and we are used to having to take elevators, stairs, etc.. just to get outside of the resort so it was VERY comforting to know all we had to do is step out the door and walk in a straight line to get to the beach. The water is very clear and I was able to see fish and rarer shells that hadn't made it to shore yet while snorkeling. There is a shower and sprayer to rinse off when you get off the beach also. The almost Olympic sized pool was as clean as it could be and was refreshing and relaxing. There is also a shower and sprayer in the pool area. This was a perfect spot for a vacation for me and my wife and the unit was perfect in every way and we will definitely be back"

Beach front community on Venice Island. This unit is fully furnished and is located next to the large swimming pool.
You will be staying in a single story end unit studio that is larger than all efficiency units in our complex. The studio location is very private with entry directly to the pool that you can enjoy all day long. There is also a picnic table and BBQ grills right next to the unit. Venice Villas is a smoke free community, therefore, smoking is allowed in designated areas only which is strictly enforced. Any evidence of smoking inside the unit is subject to $500 fine. An entrance to the private beach is about 3 minute walk for most of the guests. If you enjoy peaceful morning walks along the shore and a glass of wine at sunset, then this place is for you.
The complex retains Florida Charm Of The Good Old Days. It is located between Sharky's fishing pier and Downtown Venice. Sharky's restaurant is a shoreline walk about a mile to the south. Downtown Venice is about a mile north.

- "This cute apartment is just steps to Venice Beach, and a couple of blocks to downtown, with great food and music everywhere. The apartment is comfortable and was immaculately clean upon arrival. The kitchen is small, but met our needs just fine. The king bed was very comfortable. The couch is a sleeper sofa, but we didn't realize that until well into the visit - usually sleepers are less comfortable than regular sofas, but that is not the case. Plenty of hangers and towels, including beach towels, and a washer-dryer right outside the door if you need it. Justin was very responsive to any questions we had. We had people in the apartment below us for several nights, but never were disturbed by sound from downstairs. We would absolutely stay here again!"

Down town Venice has a lot of events through out a year for residents, guests, and tourist free of charge or very low costs.

Beautiful studio in the Venice area, located in a house with private entrance and private outdoor area. It is about 8 minutes from the beautiful Manasota Beach. Everything is brand new and kitchen is fully equipped. It does have private laundry as well.

An “ Old Florida” style lanai leads you to your front door. Once inside the living area and kitchen share a space. Big screen tv is viewable from both spaces. Kitchen is equipped with induction cook tops and convection microwave oven. Cupboards have things necessary to cook and eat in your vacation apartment. Continuing thru the apartment just past the kitchen, to your bedroom, you have your closet and bathroom on your left just past the kitchen and your bed is on the right. The bathroom has a 36” door and a walk in shower. There is a door out of the bedroom to the backyard area.
The entire unit is for the guest. The only shared area is the outside courtyard.
My husband and I live on the island about 5 minutes from the apartments. We are available by text for any questions.
Venice island is full of beautiful tropical plants and historical architecture. Endless walks on the beach. (You might even catch a sea turtle laying eggs or hatching) Wonderful eateries, some with live music. It is definitely the the opposite of a party town. Most the shops close by 5. Wonderful unique shopping options.
The island is small and quaint. The public bus is not far away. There are tennis courts, pickle ball and basketball courts close by. There is street parking close by for any guests that at come to visit. Biking is a big part of Venice and there are wonderful trails for biking going North and South from Venice. Bicycles International is happy to deliver and pick up bikes for your stay, if you would like to arrange this. There are lots of nice parks on the island as well.
Free yoga on the beach daily. Also a Drumming Down the Sun also happens on Venice Beach. The farmers market is about a block away and you are just 2 blocks from downtown shopping. Bike rentals offer drop off and pick up service at the apartments. The island offers lots of beautiful walks with a few “secret” gardens to find.
Each unit has 1 parking spot. If you require additional parking, please ask. We may have it available or there is parking available near by on the street.
-We supply enough coffee and tp to last a couple days. Those booking longer will be supplying their own after the supply runs out.
-If you require an iron and board, please let us know and I will leave them in your unit.

She apologized and electronically unlocked the door. She said we should have let her know we were going to be late-she would have checked her phone. We intended a 6-ish arrival. We were delayed in heavy traffic from northern Florida. We didn’t text her since we had the code and she wasn’t meeting us at the unit. At the time of her 10:02 response, we were asleep.Her conduct was unacceptable. It’s the host’s responsibility to ensure renters can enter units safely, not renters. She refused a refund and assumed NO responsibility. Actually, she blamed us. She refunded the cleaning fee.VRBO’s cust. asst. response was we need to prove we could not get in and should have recorded our attempts. VRBO did nothing. It is this owner’s expectation we should have sat outside, with our luggage, waiting for her to respond for nearly 2 hours while in a movie theater, not once checking her phone."

Venice Island is full of beautiful tropical plants and historical architecture. Endless walks on the beach. (You might even catch a sea turtle laying eggs or hatching). Wonderful eateries, some with live music are within walking distance. It is definitely the opposite of a party town. Most the shops close by 5. Wonderful unique shopping options.
Venice Island is a planned pedestrian community. The public bus is not far away. There is tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts close by. There is street parking close by for any guests that at come to visit. Biking is a big part of Venice and there are wonderful trails for biking going North and South from Venice. Bicycles International will deliver your bike rentals for your stay if you would like to arrange that.
There is free yoga on the beach daily. Drumming down the sun is also on Venice Beach. The farmer's market is about a block away and you are just 2 blocks from downtown shopping. The island offers lots of beautiful walks with a few “secret” gardens to find. Each unit is entitled to 1 parking space only. There may be additional parking by request. There is street parking nearby.

Studio apartment just 5 minutes from Venice Beach and 10 minutes to Nokomis Beach where the famous drum circle takes place every Saturday night! We are located on a quiet street but close to downtown Venice, shopping, highway and beaches.

Overview:
This listing is for a fully renovated 1250SF 2/2 on a quiet dead-end street near the South Venice Yacht Club. The property has an expansive open-concept living area with kitchen, dining, living, office, and porch sections. The large master bedroom and en-suite will be a great place of rest after a day at the beach. The second bedroom and hall bath accommodate a second couple or children easily.
Close to five beaches, you will not find a better deal so book today and come enjoy the sun!

Space:
This property is an 1800SF top-down duplex located about 500 feet from the inter-coastal waterway which separates Venice from the Gulf of Mexico. The South Venice Yacht Club is four houses down the street which has a free kayak launch spot (two single kayaks are included in your booking), less than a mile away is Shamrock Park which has miles of walking/biking trails along the inter-coastal in addition to basketball/tennis courts, and five different beaches are within a 20 minute drive. There are tons of local restaurants (the guide book has recommendations), shopping, state parks, and activities within a stone's throw. The property is as far from US41 as you can be in the neighborhood which means it is fairly quiet most of the time-particularly at night when you can hear the ocean crashing against Caspersen Beach. Sitting on the screened-in-porch and listening to nature in the morning/evening is a very enjoyable activity.

As for the duplex itself, it has a 1200SF top floor 2/2 unit (this listing) and a 600SF ground floor 1/1 unit. Also downstairs is a large garage used for owner storage and laundry. Behind the house is a caged 25'x10' non-heated pool for hot days and a newly installed three person hot tub for colder days. There is a three-car-wide 100' long driveway in front. The two units are sound-proofed to the best of owner's abilities (5/8" drywall, 10" of insulation, two layers of subfloor totaling 1.25", and two foam sheets before flooring) and completely independent from each other except for sharing the pool, driveway, and laundry. It is very rare that both units want to use the pool at the same time but there is space to accommodate up to ten people if needed.

Access:
You will have a keypad locked front door and a manually locked back door. You will have access to the whole property except the other rental unit, although keep in mind that the garage is to be used as an emergency exit, laundry only-it is primarily meant to be owner's storage for owner's multiple rental properties. The large driveway will allow you to park as many cars as you need easily. The location allows you to be out on US41 in three minutes, I75 in ten minutes. You will be about 90 minutes from Tampa, an hour from Fort Myers so either airport is fairly close.

Other:
Owner is a professional landlord/property manager with ten years of experience who lives in the same neighborhood. You will most likely be greeted upon arrival so any quick questions/recommendations can be satisfied. After that, if you have an issue, you can text and will almost certainly receive a quick response.
The property has several beach chairs, two beach towels, a small shark tooth sifter, a beach umbrella, two single kayaks, and other property available for guest use. If you need anything else, within reason, owner will provide it or let you know where you can rent it. Please note, there are exterior cameras monitoring the property at all times.
Also note that like nearly every property in the area, this one is on well/septic. This means that the water will have an odor to it, but I test the quality every 6 months and said quality has always been well inside CDC standards for safe drinking water. For better taste, I recommend guests use bottled water for coffee/any other mixed drinks. Also, the septic system must only have human waste and toilet paper in it ever, no wipes/hygiene products or the repair costs will be in the thousands.

This super clean, updated, second floor condo has everything you need for a wonderful stay on Venice Island. It features an open floor plan with siders opening to the screened lanai. The kitchen has been updated and includes everything you need for meals at home. There are two bedrooms; the main bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, tv and a slider out to the lanai, the secondary bedroom has twin beds and a ceiling fan. The washer/dryer are inside the condo. Ample linens and towels are included. You will love the lanai for morning coffee and and evening drinks. There is a new AC system and HW heater and WIFI is included with streaming capability. Condo application required for all guests. Copy of valid drivers license or government ID must be send for booking. 1 small well behaved, housebroken dog allowed 25 lb maximum permitted with prior owner approval.

Venice island is full of beautiful tropical plants and historical architecture. Endless walks on the beach. (You might even catch a sea turtle laying eggs or hatching) Wonderful eateries, some with live music. It is definitely the the opposite of a party town. Most the shops close by 5. Wonderful unique shopping options.

The island is small and quaint. The public bus is not far away. There are tennis courts, pickle ball and basketball courts close by. There is street parking close by for any guests that at come to visit. Biking is a big part of Venice and there are wonderful trails for biking going North and South from Venice. There are lots of nice parks on the island as well.

Free yoga on the beach daily. The farmers market is about a block away and you are just 2 blocks from downtown shopping. Bike rentals offer drop off and pick up service at the apartments. The island offers lots of beautiful walks with a few “secret” gardens to find.

Lovely spacious apartment to 5 minutes to Manasota Beach, restaurants, shopping and services with wifi, free and private parking, air conditioner, balcony, laundry, independent kitchen and you can feel relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. You will enjoy of the nature in a quiet and safety neighborhood while you are in vacation. You will see birds, trees, tortoise etc and practice all aquatics sports and hiking in the close Lemon Bay Preserve.

The space
The apartment is a Loft style but you will have a WC close with door for you privacy. The bathroom has a wide rest area and nice double shower. The kitchen is small but you will have plenty of pots, pans, and dishes, oven, microwave etc making meal more easy. In the apartment there is washer and dryer. There’s a confortable sofa bed and dining area, and a lovely balcony for take your coffee and a picnic area under trees for relaxing time. I hope you enjoy all of this
