This hundred year old home is a 15 minute stroll over a picturesque footbridge, into the heart of the Village. The house has been divided into two single bedroom units, one upstairs, the other downstairs.
I am currently renting the first floor apartment. It has its own entrance through the back door and can accommodate up to four people. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. (Please note: Bathroom access for bedroom is through the living room.) The bathroom has a tub with shower. Though there is no dishwasher or laundry service, there is a full kitchen, Smart TV, free WiFi, and access to a spacious yard equipped with table, chairs, and a charcoal grill for outside dining. Window fans and a cross breeze provide ventilation. For comfort on extreme heat days, a window air conditioner has recently been added. On street parking. Property owner lives on site in a cottage behind the house.
The Village hosts great restaurants and shops, Stonington Lighthouse Museum, Library, playground, La Grua Arts and Cultural Center, and CT’s only commercial fishing fleet. Extensive trails for nature walks nearby.
Be sure to visit the Stonington Village Farmer’s Market: Every Sat 9:00 a.m.-noon at the Town Dock from May through the end of Oct. On Nov. 1st the Farmer’s Market moves indoors to the Velvet Mill, 22 Bayview Ave 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The Velvet Mill is a 10 minute walk and in addition to housing the winter farmer’s market, hosts a creative community of entrepreneurs & small business, Arts & Crafts, Health & Healing services, artisan bakery, micro brewery, restaurants, and a weekend crafts and vintage market.
In Mystic, you will find the Mystic Seaport, the Mystic Aquarium, a YMCA, and plenty of shops and restaurants. Golf courses are 15 minutes away. Entering this private location and home, guests have initially commented on the beautiful setting and the peacefulness that comes from stepping onto the property. Our home sits on 4 ½ acres in a private waterfront community named “Osbrook Point” in Stonington Ct. Bordered on 2 sides by preserved woodlands and the Pawcatuck River on another, this year round home sits upon a knoll and the views and property look out down a gentle slope toward the river where one has access to a private dock and float for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wonderful views. The view across the river is of Watch Hill. Boaters will have direct access to open waters for fishing, boating or beaching at local beaches or at “Sandy Point”, a small island which is also a nature preserve. The boat dock is suitable for a boat up to 26 feet. There is fresh water and electricity at the dock.

Our home sleeps ten guests with four bedrooms and two full baths. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, one with a pair of twin beds and a pull out couch in the living room. There is a laundry room and pantry for your convenience. It is an open concept home with water views from most rooms, a large deck for relaxing and barbecuing and a large yard to entertain and enjoy friends and family in a safe and secluded neighborhood. While it is in an ideal location for entertaining, this is not a party house.

The home's location allows renters to enjoy a natural setting with wildlife and the river with views to Weekapaug and Watch Hill. It is close to historic Stonington Borough, Mystic with it's Seaport and Aquarium, Napatree and Misquamicut Beaches and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos and local wineries. The house is a short drive to Rhode Island where numerous beaches and RI activities abound. The house location and area provides many enjoyable and scenic areas for hiking or bike riding.

Covid 19 Precautionary Measures: Homeowner has contracted a Linen Company with an upgraded package to include sheets, bath towels, hand towels, and kitchen towels delivered for each reservation. This is free of charge to the renter. The cleaning company is spending more time in each home to sanitize high touch areas (door knobs, wall switches/plates, remotes, lamp switches, appliances (touch pads and handles) for your safety.

- "We could not have asked for a better long weekend at the shore! Louis was a fantastic host - providing a ton of great information proactively, was super responsive to any questions (we only had one!), and provided a really enjoyable experience overall. The home had everything we could have asked for - including different size pet beds to choose from! - and even included little touches that made the difference (lots of coffee pods for us coffee drinkers, amenities in the bathrooms, plastic containers for food, etc.). The house was comfortable and roomy, and having a fully fenced in yard for our dog to roam was a huge plus! My four year old especially enjoyed the karaoke machine! Full disclosure, there is a train that passes a short distance away, beyond the meadow and the marsh, and you will hear the whistles. Some people (kids especially!) love this. Some might find it bothersome.
The property is a short walk from, Walkers Dock, a small marina owned by our family. During the spring and summer you can make special arrangements to charter a fishing trip or even bring your own boat. There are ten acres of land, including woods, meadow and saltmarsh, a dog walkers and bird watchers paradise.
The host will be available by phone and text. There is also a caretaker who lives nearby who can help should any issues arise.
In addition to nearby DuBoise Beach on Stonington Point, Saltmarsh Ledgeis about 20 minutes drive to Watch Hill and Westerly Rhode Island beaches and close to numerous other attractions, including Barn Island, Saltwater Farm Vineyard, and the Velvet Mill, an eclectic repurposed factory filled with artist studios, shops, wellness practitioners and maker space.
We have parking for 3 or more cars, Saltmarsh Ledge is just on the edge of Stonington Village, which is easy to access by foot and bike along with driving. It's about 15 minutes away by car from shopping and restaurants in both Mystic Connecticut and Westerly Rhode Island. It's only about 10 minutes from I-95.

- "Very good" - "We enjoyed our stay here! We had 5 adults and 4 dogs with plenty of space to spare. It can be challenging to find properties that allow 4 dogs but Natalie was enthusiastic about hosting us and made sure to make us (and our pups) feel at home. She had great communication and suggestions for how to spend our time. As noted in the listing- a train runs often right behind the property but you get used to it. The property is private/secluded but close to town, beautiful, and spacious. There’s a lot to do and explore on the property (hiking, paddle boarding, watching the sunrise) and off in surrounding cities such as Stonington and Mystic. The home was clean, well stocked, and the perfect size. Highly recommend!"

The house has 4 bedrooms, a Captains closet with a queen size bed inside it, full kitchen, dining room, living room, 4 decks and 2 full baths. The house comfortably sleeps 8 adults and 2-4 children. Broken down by floor:
—3rd floor has a master suite (bedroom #1) that has a king size bed and day bed with trundle (suitable for children only); master bath has tub/ shower, sink, toilet and washer/ dryer. Across the hall there is a Captain's closet (yes closet) with a queen sized bed (suitable for 2 children or teens). Additionally there is a newly added large sunroom with floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean with king size bed (bedroom #2).
—2nd floor (main living floor) has a full bathroom with shower, kitchen, dining room w seating for 7, living room with triple slider onto the main deck with a large table with seating for 10 people. There are two main level bedrooms- one with 2 twin beds (bedroom #3) and one with a king size bed (bedroom #4). Each bedroom has a sliding door out onto the main deck. There is plenty of room to put a blow up mattress in the living room if desired and there is a door that privatizes the open concept kitchen/ livingroom/ dining room from the rest of the house.

The entire open concept kitchen/ dining room/ living room and all bedrooms (including the sunroom) have air conditioning. The only areas without AC are the hallways, bathrooms and the captains closet.

One code-locked garage bay is provided with beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, etc. The other garage bay and first floor (basement) stores our personal property and will remain locked at all times and is off limits.

The town beach is 0.15 miles away and has bath houses and a life guard. The fire district beaches are spread out along Atlantic ave all the way down to the Andrea- your rental includes parking and walking passes to those beaches/ parking lots. There is a walk-on path to the beach right across the street (to the right of the house with the surfboard fence), HOWEVER, this is just for walking along the water. The beach is private property above the high tide watermark— you will be kicked off by the homeowners if you set up chairs and blankets on those homeowners private property.

The space
The main living area has a large room with 2 couches, a fireplace, a smart tv and a ping pong table :) The large kitchen opens up to a dining area that can seat up to 12 people. The main floor also has a small den with a 55" smart tv and a 1/2 bath. Outside is a large yard with a screened porch, a wrap around porch, and an outdoor shower. A newly added 18x42 Pool with surrounding stone patio as well as a 7 person hot tub will help you wind down after a day at the beach. There is also a pool cabana with a bathroom, changing area, laundry room and hang out area. Plenty of space for people to have privacy.

Beneath the main house is a 2 car garage, always a plus on rainy summer days. The entire house is outfitted with Sonos speakers for your listening pleasure. We also have a Google home device as well as enhanced Wifi pucks.

The master bedroom has a king size tempurpedic bed, en suite bathroom with tiled shower and full soaking tub as well as a large walk in closet. The 2nd floor also has 2 queen bedrooms, a full bathroom and a separate laundry room. The top level boasts distant ocean views and an additional queen bedroom as well as a large open room for hanging out and a bunk bed with a trundle.

Other things to note
The house comes with a beach parking pass for the Misquamicut Fire District Beach. The parking lots are directly on the beach and there are showers, bathrooms and lifeguards. This is a wonderful beach for people of all ages.

Loved being able to explore Newport only an hour away and some of the local beach communities." - "My spouse and I stayed at this property from May 19-22, 2024. The house is still exactly as portrayed in the photos and description. We found the property to be very clean with comfortable beds and high-quality linens. There is a large screen, smart TV in the larger bedroom on a rolling stand which can be easily moved into the living room. The TV is equipped with Roku. Internet speed is good. The showers had a nice strong stream and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen had modern appliances and was exceptionally well equipped. As an added bonus, there is tasteful art displayed throughout the house. We used the house as a base for travelling to wildlife refuges. There are three refuges within 15 minutes of the house and one that is about 25 minutes. The beaches are 5 minutes away as is the Watch Hill Historic District. The house is in a residential neighborhood which was very quiet except for some traffic sounds from Winnapaug Rd and the occasional private airplanes from the nearby airport, neither of which bothered us. Best to use the driveway on the Knollwood Drive side of the house as the driveway from Winnapaug is REALLY steep. Andrea and Tom were very gracious hosts and responsive to our texts. Andrea was kind enough to arrange an early check-in for us. We would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it to our friends."

- "We needed to book a beach getaway with one weeks notice....we got very lucky finding this perfect 2 BR apt 100 yards from the Beach on VRBO. Our host Tom was outstanding! He fixed up this little apt complex 1/2 block from the beach, but it also has a very cute backyard with family games, a firepit for the evening, on a pond with free use of kayaks, paddleboards, beach gear. He even provided a very nice folding cot as needed for one of my sons just for better sleeping space. When you just want to be able to park your car, and be able to walk everywhere from there on to hit the beach, restaurants, shops, etc this place was terrific. My two sons 20 & 14 had a blast using the paddleboards and hitting the beach. Tom the host owns a business next door and lives across the street so he is pretty much always available to help with any problem or inform you about the area attractions. The apt is an older complex but the place was very clean and had all the needed necessities. The view from the large deck overlooking the pond was gorgeous and a great place to eat breakfast and have your coffee. It is an older beach apt without a/c but we did not need it as we had cool seabreezes. There is some street noise but to be expected due to the great location, it did not bother us at all. We had more fun at this place then hotels costing 3 times as much. If not for the excellent host, I was almost hesitant to write this review for fear of more people discovering this place."

Fully stocked unit with dishes, pots, pans and even some glasses! Tom was a great host always reaching out to make sure we didn't need Anything! - "It was a great location with private beach. The hostess was wonderful, very helpful and made us feel right at home. Was available and great personality." - "We loved being right on the beach. House is spacious, we had plenty of room with multiple adults and a 2.5-year-old running around, toys, etc. The only downfall was while sitting on the deck the top railing blocks the view of the ocean's horizon. Also, the deck off the master bedroom had seagull poop all over it, so we didn't take advantage of that area. I understand on the beach that would be hard to maintain. Definitely will go back! Joe was very easy to work with and very responsive."

This is beach front with unobstructed views of State Beach, Watch Hill Lighthouse and Taylor Swift's home! Must like to hear the ocean. Perfect for families with children. Next door to the small Atlantic Bay amusement park with arcade, Windjammer restaurant, and Dusty's Ice Cream Bar. Across.from the weekly movie drive in. Many other restaurants, shops and water rentals close by. Watch Hill is only 10 minutes away, and Foxwoods Casino 30 minutes away. Can't beat this location for fun, sun, views and the beach. Park your car and you won't have to leave for the entire week if you don't want to. Arrival time is 3pm on Saturday and departure time is Saturday at 10:00am. You can arrive shortly before 3pm on move in Saturday, and just sit on the beach until your room is ready. You may also continue to use the beach on move out on Saturday after 10am, provided you have removed all your belongings from the unit by 10am.

Other local amusements include Purple Ape, offering jet ski/kayak/paddle board rentals. The Misquamicut area hosts a vibrant weekly schedule: Monday features Tunes on the Dunes with live music from July to August. We are conveniently located in Westerly RI on Misquamicut Beach! Located close to many local attractions, restaurants, shops and more! Our one bedroom apartment includes one bedroom with 2 double beds, a full kitchen, dining area, living room area with a sleeper sofa and a bathroom. This apartment is located within the motel.

Sandy Shore Motel is located right along Misquamicut Beach! On property we have the Misquamicut Ocean Beach located right on the beach and conveniently located the street we have our restaurant Gino's By the Beach.

Access to the first floor of a split level ranch. Consists of a master bedroom with new queen size bed, 2nd bedroom with two single beds, living room with pullout queen bed couch and kitchenette, entry hallway, and full comfortable bathroom off of the entry hallway. Locked door to the upper level for privacy. Owner lives on upper level, so access is limited to the rental unit and the parking spaces.

Pullout couch in living room works great, but is not luxurious. If particular about mattresses it may not suite your needs. Nice extra sleeping space for kids or adults who are not particular about beds. All other beds are high quality and very comfortable.

Other things to note
Master queen bed and 2 twin beds are high quality and very comfortable. The queen bed in the living room is a pull out couch. It's fairly comfortable unless you're picky about mattresses. Certainly not luxurious, but a nice extra for kids or adults who are not particular about mattress comfort. Pull out couch linens, pillows, and blanket are on shelves in twin bedroom.

This adorable cape-style home is only half a mile from the beautiful Misquamicut beaches and East Beach. The space
There are 2 rooms on the first floor, both with queen beds and blackout shades. One room is larger than the other and both are accessible to the same full bathroom. The second floor is one large bedroom with multiple beds (a queen , 2 fulls, and 2 twins) and an attached full bathroom. Great for children or a nice private bedroom for a couple! There is a full kitchen on the first floor with a dining room table with 6 chairs and 2 barstools at the counter. There is an outdoor table with 4 chairs in the backyard along with multiple Adirondack chairs. There is a grill and multiple restaurants nearby! East Beach and Misquamicut Beaches are 0.5 miles away. There is a parking pass for the three Misquamicut Fire District Beaches. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

The space
Our home is situated in a serene location just steps from East Beach and a short walk from downtown Watch Hill and Bay St. shops. It is a very private location with a secluded pool, front courtyard with outdoor shower to rinse off on your way back from the beach, deck, backyard and screen porch.

Most of the walls in our home feature full length windows that allow for an abundance of natural light in the house. They can all be opened to just a screen to allow for warm breezes to flow through the home and give the sense that you're always outside. Better yet - leave the windows open and listen to the waves crashing onto the beach.

The open floor plan features plenty of living area with spacious bedrooms.

Master Suite: Queen bed with generous closet and drawer space and private bathroom featuring dual-head shower

Bedrooms Two and Three: Large rooms each with their own private outdoor terraces that feature private fireplaces, personal gardens and patios. The two bedrooms have sizable closets and share a brand new bathroom with an overhead dual-head shower.

Bedroom Four: Full sized bed and second wall concealing private vanity and dressing area - connects to third bathroom. Bedroom Four is equipped with a Peloton bike to get your workout in before heading to the beach.

As a family of restaurateurs and chefs, we installed a chef's kitchen that is perfect for big family dinners with all stainless steel appliances, a six burner gas stove, two ovens and a large griddle. There is a refrigerator/freezer and two sinks. We have a coffee machine, blender, toaster and every other tool or appliance you would possibly need, as well as pots of every size (including a giant one for steaming lobster - it's huge so we keep it in the basement so please let us know if you'd like us to get it out for you!). We also have a grill and outdoor cooler outside on the deck and more plates, cups and silverware than you could ever need.

In the living room we have a leather sectional couch with another leather armchair. There is a 46'' flatscreen HD TV with cable and a Bose surround sound speaker system, as well as a dedicated iPod Touch synced to the speakers to make it easy to play all your favorite music. There is high speed wifi throughout the house.

We also have a desk facing out over the private courtyard for anyone looking to do a bit of work during their stay.

In terms of proximity, the house is just a two minute walk to Watch Hill's famous East Beach and a quarter mile from The Misquamicut Club golf course. It is also a short walk to the Ocean House, one of ten Triple Five-Star hotels in the world including Seasons, a Five-Star fine-dining restaurant (our brother is the head chef so you're guaranteed a table!).

Wake up to great views of Block Island Sound and stunning sun rises! Steps away from the five-star Ocean House Hotel and the Village of Watch Hill. This is a charming three level home with adjacent one bedroom one bath cottage.

The top level features a master bedroom and bathroom suite (king bed) with attached separate office. This suite offers great water views from either the bedroom or office with plenty of privacy. (see below for further details)

The space
There are two additional bedrooms on the upper level; one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. There is one additional central bathroom with walk in shower servicing both bedrooms. Both the master suite and twin bedroom have TVs.

The mid-level has a gourmet kitchen with adjacent dining room with eight seats. There is a living and adjacent sitting room with one TV and a gas fireplace. There is also a central full bathroom with walk in shower. There is a stunning walk out deck accessed via a slider door to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails.

The lower level has a large family room with wet bar (wine frig), gas fireplace, TV and French doors that lead to a lower-level covered patio. Off of the family room is separate laundry room with utility sink and auxiliary refrigerator. There is a full bathroom with walk in shower perfect for rinsing off after a relaxing day at the beach.

Finally, there is a guest cottage featuring one separate enclosed bedroom, one full bathroom, sitting room with built in shelving and cabinetry. There are two TV's, one in the bedroom and one in the sitting room. This is the perfect place for house guests or adult children that is close yet allows for privacy.

It is important to note that many of the furnishings seen in the pictures will likely be changed. The planned furnishings will be less formal and have a more relaxed and beachier feel.
