There are also food truck nights in the Narragansett Beach parking lot. The island is beautiful, the tent and accommodations were clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The fort has an interesting history, which the hosts, Stefan and Katrina, are happy to share during a tour inside it. We stayed at the Oceanside tent beside the fort. It was private and perfect. It was a goggy day, but we sat on the front porch and watched seals swim by. It was a last minute getaway for just one night. - "Very nice neighborhood and the house is located on a dead end street, so no vehicle traffic. Great location - close to the light house, walk to Iggy's and Aunt Carries. The house is small but comfortable. Beds were comfortable but please note that the rooms are small. Everything was great; just note keypad on door often malfunctioned so you would need to us the pad lock to get the key; but really no big deal. Also, careful walking at night; we often encountered a skunk. Guess, we were in their turf. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the house and in the Naragansett area! Thanks for hosting us."

Unique home located in desirable Briggs Farm in beautiful Narragansett. We have just completed some brand new renovations, including laying new flooring and new kitchen. All 3 bathrooms just renovated and a brand new furnace! *(Once permit allows, the area off the kitchen will become a living room with large flat screen TV, seating and access to the exterior patio. There will be an island bar over the kitchen sink, that wall will be removed)* The full bath on the 1st floor in the main house now has a brand new soaking tub with a shower handle, new tiling throughout, new vanity, toilet and lighting. The 2nd floor full bath in the main house as all new shiplap surrounding the bathroom and open closet, a new vanity and lighting and a large walk-in tiled shower. The Addition full bath has new vanity and shelving as well as a large walk-in tiled shower. We added a large 70" TV on the wall in the main house living room. Brand new furnishings throughout.

The Kitchen has a Double Oven and an island open to dining area. The laundry room is located in the breezeway on the first floor. We have 2 sets of large capacity washer/dryers. Off the kitchen is an enclosed screened in back porch for more seating and lounging. The back yard has a stamped concrete patio with grill, tables and chairs. and a fire pit, which we include firewood. Also in this area is a hot water outdoor shower.

There is a 700 square foot addition with two large bedrooms, full tiled bath and a living room area with hardwoods and a large flat screen TV. One of these bedrooms has a balcony deck with seating. There is a covered front porch with seating. The lot is 14,000 square feet with a swing set, slide and playground in the back yard for playing. Central Air on two zones. Beds to choose from are 2 King and 5 queens. I can provide some twin blow up mattresses if needed. Pet Friendly! Short walk to Sunset Farm for fresh vegetables and fruit and fresh baked pies and to visit the farm animals. Home is large enough for many families. Large 2 car garage, generous driveway for ample parking. We do supply plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, beach umbrellas linens, blankets, quilts and bath and beach towels.

Take a short 20 minute drive to Historic Newport and Jamestown. T.F. Green Airport is 25 minutes away. Providence is a 30 minute drive. This home is centrally located to all beaches, shopping and the most popular restaurants. Closest Movie Theatre is less than 10 minutes away located at the South County Commons. Board the Block Island Ferry in Galilee just 2 miles away. The ferry ride on the fast ferry is only 30 minutes and on the large ferry, its about an hour. On Block Island there are many fun things to do with kids and adults. You can rent bikes, mopeds or take a taxi or even bring your own car over. Plenty of sight seeing, beaches, lighthouse tours, many restaurants, shops, bars, and horseback riding, farms, marinas, docks and the fabulous bluffs.

The unit has 2 beach passes, there is street parking for the beach. Only residents are allowed to park in the town parking lot. The house is located about 1 mile from the beach, so it is a pleasant walk along the seawall.

There are several dining spots within walking distance of this unit- from casual Crazy Burger and PJ's Pub to the elegant Coast Guard House and outdoor dining at Trio's. There is a playground with fenced in children's area, a lighted basketball court and a ball field around the corner from the house. There are 3 children friendly restaurants near the playground- PJ's Pub which has a lively sports bar with a versatile menu. The Bike Stop, which is decorated with bicycles and movies of biking, has a varied menu and great pizza. The Crazy Burger is busy morning,noon, and night, people sit out on the sidewalk waiting to get in, it is a BYOB. It has been featured in the TV show Diner, Dives and Drive Ins. It has out door seating and has an eclectic menu. Farther down the street, but certainly within walking distance are Trio's, Turtle Soup (overlooking the water) and the famous Coast Guard House, which has an upstairs deck for cocktails and dining- these are a little more upscale but still casual.

This area is the "town" -- there are little shops and an ice cream store. The town library is there too and offers story hours, day time movies, and other community events. On Friday nights in the summer, there are free concerts at the "Gazebo" in the center of town, people bring there own chairs and refreshments and enjoy the view of the ocean and listen to the bands. The Towers hosts a couples "dance night" on Thursdays and that is open to the public. There are various festivals and art shows during the summer in the park and the famous "Blessing of the Fleet" 10K road race and festival on the 3rd weekend in July. Everything is centrally located and very enjoyable for people of all ages.

Two blocks from the house at the beginning the seawall is Monahan's Dock. There is always a line for traditional chowder and clamcakes and the usual clam shack fare. They also have an ice cream bar and outside seating overlooking Monahan's Dock and Narragansett Bay. A perfect place to grab a bite to eat after a walk along the seawall.

There are lots of places to explore by car,-----Watch Hill (30 minutes), Village of Wickford (15 minutes), Jamestown (15 minutes) , and Newport (30 minutes) and Providence and its spectacular Water Fire and famous Federal Hill is 45 minute. All fun and easy destinations.
