The electric fireplace was also very warm and gave an awesome atmosphere without the hassle of an actual fireplace. Hot water heater was plenty big for 3 adults to take a shower and not run out of hot water. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, however with so many great eating places we didn't do any cooking. When we stayed the little bookstore below was open and was a fun visit for the girls. If we could give more stars I certainly would. "

Located in sleepy Westbrook, Ct and across the street from Long Island Sound, this beach house is spacious with a full kitchen, dining, and living room. A back yard area for children to play and parents to barbeque is included with a fire pit and a serene view of a marsh with nesting Osprey. We have 2 acres of land with lush gardens and a waterfall and lily pond. The cathedral ceiling apartment, with plenty of natural light, has an open floor plan of a living room, dining area and kitchen with a separate bedroom. In the kitchen you will find everything you will need to create your own favorite meals. The town of Madison, which is located on Long Island Sound, is a perfect destination for relaxing an exploring. Centrally located - New York City is 2 hours away while Boston is 2 ½ and New Haven twenty minutes. The train from the downtown station will connect you with all of these destinations, but why leave the quaint town of Madison. This thoughtfully designed and smartly decorated 2 bed, 1 bath unit is the perfect blend of style and comfort. The space has been completely re-designed and renovated, featuring a new modern kitchen, soaking tub and cozy wood-burning fireplace. The unit also features a rear deck that overlooks our mature maple trees and a sprawling front porch complete with his and hers rockers. Each bedroom has blackout blinds to ensure a restful night sleep. Great for 1-2 couples, small families or group of friends! The rental space is the front portion of our house which is attached to the main house where my husband, daughter and I live. The two spaces share only one wall, which we have soundproofed. There are also two sets of doors that separate the units that remain locked at all times.

- "The property was beautiful with a view and 30 sec walk to the beach. It was warm the first day as the window ac units had a hard time playing catch up but for the price we couldn’t beat it. Very clean and comfortable! Check out the kitchen before you grocery shop, we saw a steamer basket and bought lobsters to cook then realized the basket didn’t have a pot to fit it. There’s also no cutting board but it has pretty much everything else you need. The grill could also use a cleaning but it got the job done! Overall for the price we paid the property was exceptional"

Our sweet cottage has 2 bedrooms and one bath. The home has been newly updated and ready for your summer vacation. Our home has a large open sun room that looks over the spacious yard and brick patio. The kitchen has been fully remodeled and is fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay.

Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed. Bedroom 2 has one set of bunk beds, and one twin bed. The house has an open den with a twin daybed. The bathroom has been newly updated with a new shower.

The huge yard is perfect for family games and outdoor gatherings. Outdoor furniture, a patio set and a grill make for great evenings.

Madison is a picturesque New England beach town. You can walk to town to enjoy the shopping, restaurants or movie theater. There are three town beaches that require passes and Hammonassett State park is less than 2 miles away. Hammonasset Beach State Park is a public recreation area occupying two miles of beach front on Long Island Sound. It is the state's largest shoreline park and one of the most popular attractions in the state, drawing an estimated one million visitors annually. The beautiful Shoreline Greenway trail winds near the house and into the State park.

- "Very comfortable. 2nd Floor only using outside stairs. (Ground floor is garage/storage, typical for many coastal properties in that area) House is very modern and bright. The view of the beautiful marsh from the back deck is awesome. Very close to restaurants, stores, marinas etc while being in a very quiet residential area. Long Island sound beach across the street is very small and only usable a couple of hours a day depending on the tides. However, Hammonasset State beach and preserve area is only 15-20 minute away. Madison, Clinton and Westbrook are great old time coastal communities. Very enjoyable, wish we had a few more days of vacation time there."

This new home has gorgeous beach views from every room, a state-of-the-art kitchen, 2 propane fireplaces, and beautifully tiled bathrooms. Master bedroom and bathroom are an oasis of luxury with its own private deck. Beautiful big deck with private sandy beach directly below. The water is perfect for small children since the depth is gradual and waves are minimal. Cocktails on the deck at sunset are unrivaled. Located between New York City and Boston 2 hours away, Mystic in 30 minutes and Newport in 1.5 hours but you probably won’t want to leave the deck! Small beach association offers free activities for children including Friday night bingo. Perfect for a busy and easy family vacation or an adult only getaway of relaxation.

This newly renovated home is centrally located right off exit 63. The room you would be renting has it's own newly renovated private bath for your use only. Shared areas are the living room, kitchen, dining room & office space. If you are looking to stay near the outlets or the train station, it's a short 15 minute walk. I listed this as a room in the house, I also travel for work. We could be roommates or never see each other. The laundry machines are on the lower level. There are two full baths in the house. Two bedrooms are on the second floor and one bath on the second floor, another full bathroom is located on the first floor. I like dogs, so you are welcome to bring yours as long as it is house broken and well behaved. The property has a large backyard that most dogs seem to enjoy.

The space
Located on a 26 acre horse boarding facility. This is not only our home but we house other people’s horses. There’s typically someone always around.

Coming with your horse? We can help accommodate them too for an additional fee. We also offer lessons and may have availability if booked ahead of time. Message Brittany for more information.

Morning chores start between 6:00 and 7:00 AM, so you may hear equipment outside and horses neighing!! As the weather gets nicer too, you could see people riding their horses around or walking them - please be mindful!

This is a small studio apartment!! Our futon folds into a twin sized bed. If you are coming for more than a week, there are laundry facilities on the property for you to use! I’m more than happy to make accommodations to fit your needs if you find you need something else during your stay!

Feel free to walk the property. There are some walking trails out back. Dogs must stay leashed. There are electric fences so please don’t touch. Please don’t feed horses either as some do have special diets!!

Other things to note
This is a boarding facility and there are people here regularly!! We have a dog but she is friendly. Our chickens do not free range but feel free to admire them!! They also love your scraps!! Want fresh eggs to eat or take with you for $5 a dozen - just ask Brittany. I do have a 9 year old son and we do live upstairs. We try to be as quiet and respectful during your stays.

Note - the stone walkway to the airbnb is a work in progress!! We are also working on clearing some more land for our horses and to make a new area for our 4 goats so people can interact more with them and be closer. So please don’t mind the mess/mud/ongoing work. The parking area is paved and you won’t have mud walking to the unit!!

The apartment is beautiful and fully furnished in the historic District of East Haddam close to Rt 9 or 2, the Goodspeed Opera House, River House and CT Shoreline. Gillettes Castle, Fox Hopyard, Devils Hopyard, & more. Just 20 minutes to Middletown and wonderful dining. This apartment is in the 1800 section and has some quirky things to be aware of, floor that have uneven heights, stairs to the bedroom and , a claw foot tub/shower that you have to step into and a full flight of stairs to get in.

The space
Located on the second level of a Victorian home in the Greek revival portion is the Federal suite. It is not suitable for people with balance and ambulatory issues. It offers a foyer leading to a covered front porch, the bedroom replete with period details such as plaster cast crown moldings and medallion, a marble coal fireplace used in a bygone era that imparts a touch of elegance of the time. They certainly did not have king size beds with pillow top mattresses and linens with such refinement as we are offering. The main living area offers cathedral ceilings, exposed beams as this room is in yet another era of historic construction & architecture, you may find a slight elevation between floors. A full kitchen is offered along with a full bath room where one could choose to bathe in the Antique clawfoot tub or take a shower you prefer. A spiral staircase that leads to a loft to do yoga or meditate. A perfect place to do your own brand of exercise, paint, and be creative.

The entire apartment and limited areas around the grounds. Please don’t wander into our permanent residence areas. There is a small picnic table on the right side of the house.

The Gardener's Cottage, less then a mile from the Long Island Sound, is a great alternative to the common hotel. Situated a stones throw from Hammonasset State Park and Beach, Clinton Outlets, and the Shore Line East train station. Near by you will find places to kayak, Chamard Wineries, Marinas and many quaint New England towns. The remainder of the house is shared and enjoyed by the guests staying in all three private rooms. These shared spaces include the kitchen, dining room, the living room, the bathrooms, the hot tub, the deck, multiple patios and the backyard.
