Fig Tree Barn is an extensively renovated property thoughtfully converted to the highest standards. It is detached and whilst located adjacent to our home, Lund House, it retains full privacy.Visitors now have their own private outside spaces.The door in the dining/lounge area of the barn leads onto a large and stunning roof terrace overlooking the orchard.Here you can sip your favourite tipple,relaxing on comfy rattan chairs with cushions and stools or watch the sun rising whilst you breakfast around the table or the sun setting in the evening. The barn overlooks an apple tree orchard with far reaching views towards the pretty village of Hunsingore, which is located by the River Nidd. There is a picnic bench for sitting on in a secluded, peaceful and sunny corner of the orchard.Many of our guests have commented on the wildlife they have seen from the lounge area including owls,hares,pheasants,hedgehogs, and deer .There is also a bird feeder which attracts many feathered visitors including woodpeckers,wrens,sparrows and bluetits..Outside the barn entrance, there is an ornamental pond with fountain and Koi carp and 2 fig trees growing up the wall, hence the name. We have recently welcomed some lovely Dutch (zwaltbles)rare breed sheep into our back field.They are very friendly and enjoy being stroked and you can watch them from the lounge windows.Have a look at our photos of them. There is ample and secure off road parking and a locked bike shed. From the attractive, glazed front entrance, an oak staircase leads up to the first floor accommodation, comprising a gallery landing, open plan lounge/dining area(with table and chairs) with oak floors and wood burning stove and fully fitted modern kitchen with breakfast bar and stools..There are 2 bedrooms, one double with fitted oak wardrobe and one with twin beds.There are 2 bathrooms, one en-suite and one with bath and overhead shower. The Space:
You’ll find a bright and spacious feel throughout Wild Springs. With high ceilings, a large window, and a yellow colour scheme, the living room is certainly impressive. The perfect place to unwind on an evening, you can turn on the flat screen TV and relax on the comfy chaise sofa or in one of the armchairs.

Combining modern and traditional elements, the kitchen cabinets are light cream with oak wood worktops. Fully equipped, you can make the most of your self-catering stay and prepare home cooked meals easily.

The town has has developed into a busy market town, and still retains its Thursday Market, granted by the Royal Charter in 1240.

For fans of horse racing, Wetherby also has a fine racecourse, famous for its National Hunt racing, which also in recent years has added flat racing through the summer too.

Wetherby is located 13 miles from the city of Leeds. The unofficial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds is a city at the heart of the action, bursting with life and cultural energy.

The nearest train station to Wetherby can be found in Harrogate where there are regular routes to Knaresborough, Leeds, London and York.

The house would suit a group or larger family as there are 4 bedrooms and it sleeps 9. We've lived here since 1989, it's ex-Navy, built to accommodate HMS Ceres families (it was the Supply/Secretariat training school at Wetherby between 40s and 50s) and it is very far from the sea! We have off road parking, a great garden and peace!

The space
Central Wetherby - ideal for York, Harrogate and Leeds - Harewood House, Castle Howard, Fountains Abbey - the A1 (the Great North Road) used to go directly through the town, now it is well connected to M1, M62, etc.

It's peaceful here, there are lovely walks along the Harland Way, Ebor Way, the Wetherby Ings, walks along the River Wharfe and obviously it is handy for the Dales, the North Yorkshire Moors and Wolds.

It is only here because it is equidistant between London and Edinburgh, crossing the River Wharfe over a bridge first built in 1215...

What more do you need? Oh and people locally call it 'Weather by' because in Wetherby the bad weather always seems to go by and leave us happy (we are not all such liars ;-))!

We are five minutes walk from the Wetherby Racecourse; at Bramham House there are both Bramham Horse Event/Trials and the Leeds Festival once a year. Only 7ish miles to The Great Yorkshire Show ground. Beautiful Knaresborough is around eight miles away. Boston Spa, Tadcaster, Boroughbridge are all close, as is Marston Moor. It is a good place to start or end a stage on the Ebor Way. Etcetera Etcetera.

We have a Jay-Be zed bed as well as the single if there are two persons wishing to stay. The zed bed can be put up in the same room so that both guests can be together.

There is a Hauck travel cot as your disposal too which is ideal for young children and babies.

If you are bringing a pet please bring a dog bed/basket as I don't allow dogs on or in the bed.

A second rear room is sometimes available. Do ask if required for confirmation. This additional room has a single bed plus a separate underbed which pulls out and up to the same level.

The rear room can sleep 2 people comfortably.

The living room is also available for 2 (comfortably) on a good quality double airbed or 2 quality single airbeds, or 4 quality single airbeds (at a squeeze, suitable for festival accommodation for example). Additional single air beds if required (see other listing).

House is eclectic in style. Kitchen is available for use. One shared bathroom for the whole household, with bath and electric shower.

Located near major towns and cities including York, Harrogate and Leeds all within 20 minutes by car. We are the gateway to The North York Moors, The Dales and within a couple of hours scenic drive from The Lake District.

A1M motorway within 3 minutes drive.

Airfield just up the A1M.

Several international airports within 1-2 hours drive. Nearest is Leeds-Bradford only 15 miles away (20 minutes drive) then Doncaster and Manchester within an hour's drive.

Buses from Wetherby bus station to Leeds, Harrogate and York. Late buses run between Leeds and Wetherby and a regular train service operates between Leeds and York, Leeds and Harrogate and Harrogate and York.

Wetherby is a lovely historic market town (2 markets per week) set by the River Wharfe, complete with ducks and bird life in abundance. Ducks are sometimes seen waddling through the town! Great riverside and wooded walks for both humans and ducks!

Pleasant quiet and leafy neighbourhood. Great short wooded hollow walk 5 minutes away on the old railway line now enclosed by trees and almost like a sanctuary for birds.

Plenty of pubs, cafes and good restaurants. Recommended is Kofi & Co in the Market Place (especially for breakfast) along with Before Anything Else (BAE) off Market Place and nearer to the bus station.

A popular evening event venue is The Engine Shed, just 7 minutes walk away which is large and often has excellent live music tribute bands and singers entertainment.

Bus station, library with tourist information, plus Post Office and supermarkets and other shops including good butchers and bakery all within 5 minutes walk. Good brass bands pipe up on a Sunday throughout the summer usually 2pm-4pm.

On-street parking. Park opposite with splendid playground. Dedicated fast ethernet broadband connection (discontinuing with wi-fi from 2024 due to the unhealthy nature of wi-fi signals).

Bathroom has an electric shower. Central heating throughout (except livingroom which can be provided with heaters) and an open fire is usually lit in the winter evenings in the dining room when I am around.

Great restaurants including Thai, Vegetarian (Mango), Italian all within 5-7 minutes walk plus great fish & chip shops (Frying Pan & Wetherby Whaler - has upstairs restaurant too) and two late opening service stations nearby only 2 minutes walk.

Snowdrop Cottage is a stone built, beamed Victorian mid terrace cottage in the Historic conservation village of Clifford, near Wetherby.
Original features include old doors, pine floors feature fireplaces, stone hearth and log burning stove. A small dining area and a light fitted kitchen.
Bedroom one has standard uk size single bed , the master has a Kingsize with feather duvets, and pillows, White Company sheets and countryside views.

The space
‘The Burrow’ has a fantastic blend of comfort and town centre convenience. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we possibly can so we have equipped our beautiful home with everything you’ll need for a fantastic stay and as a base to explore the surrounding area and amazing North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire countryside.

Tastefully renovated, this Wetherby cottage boasts a breakfast kitchen, comfortable lounge with French doors leading out onto a private sunny south facing gated rear courtyard garden with views of the historic St James Church .

Accommodation
We have two very comfortable double bedrooms, both of which can be made up with either one super king size bed or two single beds in bedroom one and either one king size bed or two single beds in bedroom two. The living room has a double sofa bed, which means the property can sleep up to 6 people. The breakfast kitchen area allows for separate socialising away from the lounge area. Fresh bedding and towels are provided for each new guest.

Parking
There is reserved off street parking for one vehicle very close by or a free, unlimited public car park immediately opposite ‘The Burrow’. There is also a visitor's parking permit for another vehicle to park in the residents only area of the public car park opposite.

Facilities
The breakfast kitchen is fully equipped with toaster, oven/hob, microwave, kettle, large fridge/freezer, and other essential items such as dishwasher, combined washer/dryer and ironing board and iron. Cutlery, crockery and cooking items are provided for your convenience. There's even breakfast cereal, bread and milk and fresh fruit provided for each new guest.

55" flat screen TV with Sky TV entertainment is available in the lounge and fast Wifi allows you to keep up with emails and social media. A travel cot and high chair are available on request.

*As responsible hosts, we deep clean and disinfect all surfaces and handles between guest stays.

Fitness Suite
For fitness enthusiasts, Matthew and Lynn run a fitness business locally and guests are invited to use their fully equipped fitness studio or take part in a boot camp session during their stay for no extra charge.

The River Wharfe wends its way around and through Wetherby and affords beautiful riverside walks past and under the town’s weir and bridge. For entertainment, Wetherby boasts a full range of shops, coffee shops, bars and restaurants, traditional market square and it's own cinema 150 metres from your front door.

Wetherby’s origins are as a staging post for travellers between Edinburgh and London. It lies close to the A1 (M) and is centrally located between Harrogate, York and Leeds and is ideally located to visit West and North Yorkshire. The famous Wetherby Racecourse lies at the edge of the town and historic houses including Harewood House, Bramham Park and Newby Hall are all within easy reach as are Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land theme parks and, of course, the Yorkshire Dales. We have 2 double bedrooms which can both be made up to suit your requirements either with king size beds or twin beds. Please note the 2nd bedroom is a small double room and this is at the front of the house closest the road. The living room also has a sofa bed meaning our cottage sleeps a maximum of 6 people (although being a 2 bedroom cottage, it ideally fits 2-3 people). Bedroom 1 is a large double room measuring 3.70m x 4.00m, Bedroom 2 is a small double room measuring 2.45m x 2.45m. All bedding and towels will be provided for use during your stay. A contemporary new bathroom was installed at the end of January 2022.

Our kitchen is equipped with cooker, gas hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee maker. We also have crockery, pans, and cutlery for your convenience.

To the rear of the property we have a lovely flagged patio area with outdoor furniture for you to sit out and enjoy with a glass of wine or two in the evening.

The town centre is 2-3 minutes walk where you can discover a wide range of independent retailers, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and bars, bakeries, supermarkets, and more.

Wetherby is situated in a very convenient location just off the M1 which makes for a very easy commute North or South. Also close by is the thriving city of Leeds, the superb spa town of Harrogate and the historic city of York.

Wetherby racecourse is also very close by as are a number of renowned local wedding venues such as Rudding Park, Woodhall, and Stockeld Park to name just a few.

Also within a short drive are the historic houses and stunning grounds of Harewood House, and Castle Howard which both make for a fantastic day out.

Beautiful Yorkshire countryside surrounds Wetherby with excellent walking, golf, fishing, and cycling all very close by.

The property is a beautiful maisonette at Station House, an iconic grade 2 listed former railway station built in 1841 .The history of the building can still clearly be seen; indeed your accommodation is in the old waiting rooms overlooking the station platform. Tours of the rest of the site may be available on request, including the old goods shed. Guests have access to the public footpath/cycle way adjacent to the property along the old railway line.

The space
The accommodation on two floors comprises a sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor (with covered outdoor eating area) and first floor master bedroom.
One dog is allowed at £5.00 per night but please ask if you have two little ones. Please don’t let them up on the furniture or leave on their own. I do have a crate if necessary, dog bed and dog towel. I leave a water bowl in for you. Please don’t leave them on their own.
The sitting room includes a smart TV (with Netflix) and BluRay DVD (small selection of DVDs available), breakfast table with 2 chairs, 2 seater sofa, small fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, coffee machine (Nespresso) and toaster. Basics are provided including coffee pods - regular and decaff; teabags (regular, decaff, herbal) and fresh milk in the fridge. A cot and highchair is available on request. I can provide a basic breakfast (pain au chocolate, croissants, toast, butter, jams and juice) £5.00 per person on request.

There is a shower room with separate WC downstairs. Towels, robes and a hot water bottle provided. Basic toiletries including Shampoo, Bodywash, Handwash, Hand sanitiser and loo roll are provided.

Upstairs is a king sized bed with high quality linen, seating area and double wardrobe and drawers. An additional single folding bed and bedding is available on request. This is an extra £15.00. When arriving, please drive through the metal gates and turn directly right and park in front of the beech hedge by the arch. Walk onto the platform and station cottage is halfway down.

We hope you enjoy our bungalow. The lounge/dining room is a L shape, the dining room looks out over the back garden with sliding door access, whilst the lounge has an electric heater along with central heating. The kitchen also has a dining area, this has a door that also leads to the back garden. The back garden is not shared with anyone.

The bungalow has an enclosed back garden (although a determined child could escape) for their own use. There is room for 1 car parked close to the front door (please leave room for car access to the double garage). Parking on the street is free and unrestricted

Bedding and towels are provided. If you are staying for more than a week a cleaner will pop in to vac and change bed linen and towels.

The Barn is a delightful stone built dwelling situated in a large garden and is less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Wetherby, an historic market town situated on the River Wharfe. Located just off the main A1 south to north road this is an ideal base for exploring the varied delights of Yorkshire and is the perfect gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, and the East coast.

The space
The Barn is a beautiful cosy retreat ideally located within the historic market town of Wetherby. There is large entrance hall leading to the twin bedroom (which can be converted to king bed on request) and separate shower room. The main accommodation is upstairs on the first floor where you will find an open plan kitchen and living space with log burning stove. The master bedroom is also on the first floor along with the house bathroom (with walk-in shower). There are lovely views over the garden.

It was empty and derelict for around 30 years up until 2024-2025 when it was fully renovated to a high standard by the owners who were born in Bramham Village.
Many of the features inside are original ironworks that were salvaged restored and reused.
We use an AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP for heating and hot water which helps in lowering our carbon footprint.

This spacious and comfortable large home is in the quiet Yorkshire village of Boston Spa, A1 J45. 3 miles from Wetherby, equidistant for Leeds Harrogate and York. There are 2 sitting rooms, kitchen, dining room 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one is en suite, downstairs WC & garden, WIFI. Parking for 3 vehicles, maximum vehicle weight 3.5 ton. All vehicles must be parked on the driveway. There is variety of places to eat, drink and shop in the village and neighbouring Wetherby

Dining Room: Table to seat eight people comfortably with additional hostess trolley for entertaining. Snug: Additional sitting room with sofa, two armchairs and Freeview TV. The bedrooms are over 2 floors, on the first floor are 2 bedrooms, 1 room with twin single beds that can be left as two separate beds or zipped together to make a king, and a second room with a double bed and a single bed

On the top floor are 2 more rooms ,both with double beds.

The space
Recently undergone a complete renovation to a high standard.
The front door opens onto an entrance lobby with cloakroom and utility room on either side.
A doorway leads on to a large open plan living, kitchen, dining area with a south facing glass wall providing spectacular panoramic views of the river and green fields beyond.
The fully equipped kitchen includes fridge freezer dispensing ice and water, double oven, warming drawer, microwave, dishwasher and induction hob.
The dining table comfortably seats 6. The living area has a feature wood burning stove, ample seating and a wall mounted TV.
Sliding glass doors open onto a large terrace with outdoor seating and dining area enjoying the same spectacular views.
On the floor below are three double bedrooms, a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower, and a large storage cupboard.
Two of the bedrooms have balconies and enjoy the same view over the river as the living area above. All the bedrooms have generous clothes storage. The master bedroom has a separate dressing area leading onto a 3 piece en-suite. Bedroom 2 has an en-suite toilet and basin. Bedroom 3 is next to the family bathroom, it has the option of a king sized bed or two single beds.

Guests have sole use of the whole house. If just two bedrooms are required the price is £240 a night and the third bedroom will be unavailable

Other things to note
There is a flight of outdoor stairs down to the front door, so unfortunately our property is not suitable for disabled access.
