Upon entering the cottage, you will find the dining area, lounge and spacious kitchen on the ground floor. Upstairs, on the first floor we have the king bedroom, a super king bedroom which can also be set up as two single beds, and the shower room with freestanding shower & toilet.
The second floor has a twin bedroom and another super king bedroom which can also be set up as two single beds, a bathroom with a shower over the bath & toilet.

Super fast WiFi, bed linen and plenty of towels are provided.

Outside the cottage, in the private & secure rear yard we have the 7 seater hot tub, dining table for 8 people, parasol and Gas BBQ. You will also find the doggy shower and bike rack in the yard.
We have a permit for one car to park on the street or anywhere in zone D.

The double bedrooms and shower room are in our attic up two flights of stairs with a door at the bottom of the attic stairs for extra privacy.
We don’t list the rooms separately so you will not be sharing the shower room with anyone apart from guests within your booking. Both bedroom doors have locks.

My husband and I live full time in the house if you need anything but do not go up to the attic when we have guests.

The renowned Ilkley Moor Cow and Calf is also within walking distance - although up a pretty steep hill.

Both rooms are lovely, light, airy, quiet and peaceful. There is also use of a shared kitchen with kettle, microwave and fridge. Cereals and milk are provided.

The space
What AirBNB used to be all about! You will be staying in a warm family home within a quiet estate.

Your room is self-contained on the ground floor, with French doors giving you direct access to the garden. Within your room there is a sitting area to rest, chat and read a book in, and a large wardrobe to tuck away your belongings for extra comfort. You get a dedicated private shower room across the hallway. (Note that the bedroom does not have a lock, however you will be undisturbed on this floor when staying with us.)

I have a young child and a super cute doggy (hypoallergic and not shedding!), so you might hear us play silly games on the upper floors.

Guests enter through the main door at the front. I will be here to welcome you to the house and give you a key for the duration of your stay.

Please note that there is no kitchen access. A kettle, cups and cuppa ingredients are supplied within your room.

I am friendly, open and curious to meet others - however with a busy schedule might not always be around for a long chat.

The space
Enjoy moonlight and star gazing in this Eco pod with all the luxury of a five star apartment! This pod is 6m x 3m and has a compact kitchen, table and chairs for cosy dining, an ensuite bathroom with a double shower, hot running water and a mains lavatory, air conditioning,trmperature controlled heating and a heated blanket:) the bed is made with quality linen and warm blankets rather than a duvet for your safety.

In the spirit of "getting away from it all " the pod does not have a TV, but I do provide a radio, books and games Please note: that this is more of a digital detox and WiFi is available on the front porch of the pod and the surrounding areas, the signal doesn't seem to permeate the 2 layers of solid wood, the layer of foil or the wool insulation. Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, and there's enough room for another person or child on a zed bed or airbed or cot bed, this fits in at the foot of the double bed.

The pod is made of larch wood, and insulated with a good layer or wool, there's also a layer of foil to keep you Cosy and warm, or cool if soaring summer temperatures need to be kept in check... But this is Yorkshire so we live in hope:)) there's a double glazed bespoke circular door and a window to the side overlooking woodland, this provides you with good natural lighting and air circulation.

You will find plenty of coat hooks for walking jackets, a single wardrobe with drawers and a hairdryer. There's head height of 2.5m which gives a feeling of space, unlike the great outdoor tents.

The pod is self catering, a local supermarket is just a short walk. Although, in the fridge and on the shelves you will find enough milk to make a warm drink or two, orange juice, bread/crumpets, homemade jam and marmalade, butter and a good selection of coffee, tea, biscuits and chocolates to help you relax! These are complimentary just enjoy :)

There are plenty of books and a radio in the pod. The pod has a stone patio area with a table and chairs for you to have breakfast or a late night star gazing experience...

Guests are asked politely not to smoke, or light candles, the structure is made entirely of wood , therefore for safety reasons naked flames are not allowed under any circumstances . For ambiance I can provide you with some LED flickering tea lights. Guests are free light candles safely on the patio or garden.

The Pod is a welcoming home from home and guests can feel at ease in their private Pod. You will find ample parking on the road and the drive can be used for loading and unloading. If you want to access the main house to watch TV, use the computer, or pick up full wifi signal, or have a coffee with your host just knock on the door, or unplug the lawnmover, that will get my attention :) I will welcome you in and I love my home therefore I'm usually available.

There are many activities in Ilkley, regular performances and events are held at The Ilkley Play House and Kings Hall.

Ilkley is popular with walkers, hikers and hill climbers, the Ilkley Moor is just a mile from home, with views that will inspire you.

Ilkley literature festival takes place every October and hosts some literary giants!

Beer festival, Ilkley has its own brewery just a stones throw from the front door.

Bolton Abbey is just 10 minutes by car, a breathtakingly beautiful estate, or cycle there in 30 minutes.

Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, there is room for a cot in the bedroom area, this area essentially sleeps 2 adults and an infant. A cot can be provided if required. The kitchen has a sofa bed that sleeps an adult or two small children as the mattress is just larger than a single bed. The kitchen cannot be used when the sofa bed is extended.

The apartment is small and cosy but fully equipped, there is a step down into the en-suite, and there is a step down into the walk in wardrobe, private and secure and was formerly part of my family home.

The Cosy Cottontail Studio Apartment is a self-contained fully equipped welcoming home from home, where guests can feel at ease in their private apartment, all towels, robes and bed linen are provided for you.
You will find ample parking on the road and the drive can be used for loading and unloading. If you need to contact the host please just knock on the door, call, email or unplug the lawnmower that will get my attention, I love my home and I'm usually available should you need anything, just knock on the door and I will welcome you in and treat you like a friend.

The immediate area is very quiet and peaceful, a few dog walkers going past each morning and evening and from your window you will see wild rabbits running around the adjacent woodland, you will also see grey squirrels running up and down the trees, and the neighbouring owls can be heard hooting at night.
The apartment was once a part of my home, it has been extended and securely sectioned off from the main house, but still has the benefit of overlooking my garden lawns, patios, flowerbeds and trees, the entrance door faces the adjacent woodland, sit in bed and enjoy the peacefulness of your surroundings and listen to the birdsong...

We are a ten minute walk from the Grove (home of Betty’s tearoom), Ilkley train station and the start of the Dales Way. We are also very lucky to be so close to the River Wharf and the lovely Riverside Gardens.
