We weren't trying to be "those" kind of people that show up to eat at closing but the staff at Carrie's was so considerate and did not make us feel like jerks at all. (We just got a couple of quick BLTs to go) The sandwiches & fries were fantastic. I can only imagine that their entrees are magnificent. We had a wonderful, romantic night. The next morning a quick call down to the valet and her car was waiting before the elevator doors opened. They also gave me a pass to park my truck in the garage. The best part was from the moment of check in through a few hours past checkout, I received automated texts asking if anything was needed. I didn't take advantage, but another guest told me, if you respond to the automated texts, someone from the hotel takes care of the request. Pretty cool. I don't travel very much, so I don't know if that's common now, but it was my first experience. Thank you! "

This Southwestern Vintage inspired bedroom called the "Sunrise Room" gets its name due to the peeking of the morning sunrise through your window. Bright double-rod curtains and vintage turquoise furniture transport you to Mid Century New Mexico, inspiring a feeling of comfort and fun for your stay in your little home away from home.

The space
My little Pueblo-style home was built in the 1950's, and has a classic vintage southwest look, donning thick walls with curved features and cabinetry original to the its construction. Guests will enjoy the quaint, vintage charm and enjoy the calm, minimalistic atmosphere. A large yard is perfect for sunbathing and watching the sunset behind the neighborhood homes.Natural light fills the common areas in the afternoons.

The two guest bedrooms are nicknamed Sunrise Room and Sunset Room, as you can see those in their respective rooms.

Some amenities that are important to ABQ include an alarm system for the house and regular pest control, and my home comes with both, giving you peace of mind and a sound sleep.

During your stay
I live in the home, part time with my partner, and we also work out of town often.

When I am out of the home, I try to be very responsive to any needs of my guests via the app. I will often send paper goods and soap refills via delivery, or send someone to tend to the house when needed.

When I am in the home, I am available to help with whatever is needed, give recommendations, and as I often engaged in social events in ABQ, I'll let you know when one is happening, if you like! Alternatively, guests can have complete privacy if they prefer, exchanging quick "hellos" in passing and messaging me through the app if they need anything- just let me know which you prefer and I can be available for either!

Other things to note
My neighborhood is the perfect mix of city life and mountain access. Our street is quiet, and is a 5 minute drive from Nob Hill (filled with delicious restaurants, shops, and venues), UNM (quirky and fun), and 5 minutes from the airport, for convenience. The Sandia Foothills are a short drive away, where you can try all the local hikes from North to South. The city is surrounding in each direction with beautiful hikes and parks, and new restaurants are popping up everywhere. Please ask for ideas if you love to try novel new activities, as ABQ is filled with them. If you're up for a longer drive, nearby cities boast amazing tourist attractions and nature wonders. Santa Fe is an hour away, and includes historic downtown, Meow Wolfe Immersive Art, and Ten Thousand Waves Spa. Ojo Caliente, Chimayo and the historic church, Taos, Jemez Forest and the Hot Springs, Bisti Badlands, Bandalier National Monument, are some of the many awe inspiring places that you can drive to within 1-2 hours.

Enjoy a home away from home. You will be in the highly sought after northeast heights, nestled away near the majestic Sandia mountains. Ten minutes away from the largest tramway in the country. Walking distance from bars, grocery stores, a marijuana dispensary, post office, bakery, and urgent care. The kitchen and washer dryer are available for use. So is the large back yard. Located in a family-friendly West Side ABQ residential suburb, 3 min. from I-40, less than a mile from Wal-Mart, numerous restaurants, 13 min. drive from the ABQ Old Town Plaza, The ABQ Bio Park, Arts Museums and many of ABQ’s best attractions.

The space
Enjoy your home away from home in our Namine Hearts bedroom! Namine Hearts Room is as private, spacious & inspiring double sized bedroom furnished with a queen bed, as the focal point of the room, and adorned with luxury lace blue and flowered velvet drapes. In addition, Namine Hearts bedroom has a bar table area where you can enjoy a private dinner with a glass of sparking fruit juice; If so, you desire.
Equipped with a 53 inches TV where you can enjoy movies, a small kitchenette area with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave, so you can enjoy your warm coffee or a cup of tea at any time of the day.
All carpet has been removed. We only have Porcelain Flooring Tiles without rugs (remember your slippers). For movies, we have a basic television with local channels available.

Guest access
You have access to one private bedroom. You may use our kitchen, dining areas, family room, and living room or any other area of the house that you would like to enjoy.

During your stay
I hope to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I like to greet my guests, so I will let you in and introduce you to house. if I am at home. Otherwise, you have the freedom to get in the room and I will greet you when I arrive. You will find the house manual in the bedroom, and you can text me or call me if you have any questions or concerns. I am happy to answer any questions and do whatever I can to make your stay comfortable and fun. I am very sociable, but I also respect your privacy. Feel free to socialize with me at your comfort level. If you need something, please let me know. If you wish to have a cup of coffee or tea let's do so! I love to meet new people from all over. Life is good.

Other things to note
You will need to meet my small dog Canella, and my cats Helicrising and Prince. They are friendly pets and like to be introduced to everyone who enters the house.

This sweet little 1950s Southwestern ranch house is ready to welcome you with its warm wooden ceilings and plenty of amenities. Much of the art is unique and from local artists. You'll have a private bedroom (1 queen bed and desk), and access to a shared living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and washer/dryer.

I live here and work here full-time with my two dogs. This is my private home, and I'm honored to welcome you.

Right now, I'm only allowing 1-night-long stays.

You'll be given a code for the front door prior to your arrival. You'll also be given a code for your private room, so you can lock it.

In addition to your private room (includes a queen bed, writing desk, mini fridge, coffee maker, and storage), you'll get access to shared spaces, including the kitchen, bathroom, living room with 55" smart TV, dining area, and free washer/dryer. You'll also have shared access to the front porch, which has a bench and mountain view.

Parts of the property are off-limits, including the back yard and owner's living area.

During your stay
I live and work part-time on the property. I'm an introvert, so I'll mostly keep to myself, but if you need anything I'll be around most of the time.

I do have two dogs who live on the property with me.

Other things to note
Two dogs (both rescue chihuahua mixes) live on the property. They're friendly towards people but they don't always love other animals, so I can't allow you to bring your pets with you.

Please don't rent this room if you are allergic to dogs or if you have a fear of dogs.

No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed anywhere on the property.

There is no cable TV. However, you may use Amazon Video and Netflix streaming services, plus there's a Chromecast you can use.
