Its a custom built 43 ft sport fish made for overnight trips with all the comforts of home. Sleeps six and is kept in top notch shape. Has a hot shower, three burner stove with oven, microwave ,coffee maker, toaster, tv 3 ac's, electric skillet, rice maker small fridge , under water lights, ice maker and pot and pans for cooking . A nice size back deck to sit and relax to watch the sun come up and set. You can also fish from the boat right at the dock or charter it for a great time on the water.

- "The property is amazing, It is tucked away in the beautiful private cove. You can stand on the dock and see star fish, octopus, and all types of marine life at any time. We drove our 38ft powerboat from Miami to the property. When we arrived there was parking for our boat, plenty of dock space, everything was ready for us, and the Houseboat was Excellent. We had a part fail on our personal power boat that we drove down while we were staying and Bill and Wendy took the time to help us get it fixed and saved our trip! They rode with us to a marina and arranged for our boat to be lifted out of the water over a leaking trim line. The line wasn't available so they had ours repaired for us at a local shop, and all within a few hours. They are amazing hosts. They made the whole trip that much better. The beds were amazing, stores were close by, they let the kids use their paddle boards, and even took us out in their Center console for a ride. I just can't say enough good things about this place. We plan to go back."

This beautiful houseboat is the best way to stay in Key West. Recently Featured in Old Dominion‘s music video “I was on a boat that day”, it has a sleep number bed, hot water and full-size fridge. The Boat is nestled in a very calm bay protected from waves. The beautiful sites surround you as you wake up on the water and the sunsets and stars give you great experiences as you relax on the top deck in the evening. Included in the rental is use of a 13 foot motor boat to get to and from the houseboat.

You have 360° ocean views sunsets sunrises stargazing. You can jump right off the boat into the golf of Mexico. Rental of the houseboat includes use of a 13 foot skiff to get yourself to and from land as well as plenty of parking.

Boating experience is required as you will be out on the water and get yourself to and from the boat. It is important that you are aware that this is a houseboat. Your electric is coming to the form of solar or generator power. There is a water heater and For size shower. There’s also a fridge and microwave. The bed is a sleep number which is adjustable on either side of the bed. There is AC in the bedroom. However the rest of the boat is called with the Ocean breeze in box fans. The top deck is beautiful place to watch sunsets or gaze at the stars. An extra cleaning fee will be charged if dishes are left in the sink or the house is left in very unclean conditions.

This is the best place to stay in The Fl Keys great location beautiful views and an amazing experience, hosted by a six generation local. This is on a houseboat so basic knowledge of the water is recommended. You will have to get yourself to and from the houseboat on a 13 foot skiff. I’ll meet you to check you in and show you the way out to the boat as well as how everything on the boat works like the generator and solar power. The boat does have a full-size fridge, microwave oven, stove top, hot water full size shower, sleep number queen size bed, top deck for sunsets and star gazing , everything you’ll need to be more that comfortable.

I am a six generation local to Key West. And also a licensed captain. I will be available during your stay to take you out to secluded islands in sandbars for snorkeling dolphin watching light tackle fishing or to just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. If you are interested in booking one of these charters during your stay I will be available weather permitting

Plenty of free safe parking is available at the check-in location where the dock is that you will use to get to and from the houseboat. That being said there is not a captain on this boat and I will not be there to assist you with everything so it is important that you can start a generator and the motor on the boat to get you to and from the house boat. They are in perfect working condition however this can be an issue for some people.

This is a houseboat in the Caribbean. It can get hot. you will be using a generator and solar for power. If you check into this house boat and then realize that it is not a hotel room you will not be refunded. This is similar to camping however on a boat that has the amenities however you will have to use a generator and solar for any electrical needs.

This boat is not for complainers nor land lovers. This is a boat I repeat this is a boat.

Check in

I will meet you at the check-in location at a time we scheduled prior to your arrival to show you where to park in the Skiff you will use to get to and from the houseboat. You’ll then follow me out to the houseboat so I can show you have everything on the houseboat works. I’m available if you need assistance during your stay. But everything is very simple to use as long as you do have basic knowledge and our somewhat familiar with the water.

Guest access

The entire boat is yours and your nearest neighbors are far away in the bay. So you’ll feel very private and secluded as you enjoy this unique experience. Access to and from the boat is made to use of a 13 foot kayak provided with the use of the rental. As well as one ride in when you check in and out. Water taxi is available however it is a very short kayak trip.

Other things to note

There is a full-size fridge. There is AC in the bed room however the rest of the boat is cooled with the ocean breeze. Most people don’t use the AC as the breeze and a fan make it very comfortable. However this is a boat in the Caribbean so on some days it can be hot. The toilet is a little different than yours at home main difference being that you won’t put toilet paper down the head it will go into a trashcan. An extra cleaning fee will be charged if dishes are left in the sink or the house is left in very unclean conditions. If you plan to do a lot of barhopping or partying on Duval this may not be the place for you either although you can get to and from land very easily and quickly this boat is special because it offers the other side of Key West like peaceful calm ocean views sunsets snorkeling.

The shuttle ride is about 10-15 mins each way. The tiny floating home is equipped with solar system to provide lights in the evening, along with fresh water sinks/ showers. There are USB ports to provide enough power to charge your phones. There is an outdoor shower only but the home is moored off shore completely private and away from other boats. There is not a kitchen for cooking but a cooler is provided for drinks and snacks, please bring ice. We provide all towels, sheets, linens, ect. There is a marine toilet onboard, but and NO TOLIET PAPER IS TO BE PUT INTO IT so you must throw all waste into the trash can provided. There is not AC onboard but there are fans, and the windows open which provide a pleasant breeze at night so a AC is not needed. There are not bugs where the boat is located. If you want a charming unique romantic experience that will be unforgettable.

If you do not communicate with us by 4pm with your arrival time so we can schedule your checkin you will be considered a no call no show and a refund will not be provided. Late checkins are fine but MUST be communicated.

We are also not responsible for weather conditions during hurricane seasons which are months of June- November refunds will be based on severity of the storms. We will be more than happy to honor any reservations at anytime of the year if the guest does not feel comfortable regarding weather conditions.

We highly recommend to rent Kayaks. Please contact Troy from Kayak Kings of Key West. We DO NOT run a water taxi. If you are planning on spending more than one night the best way to come back and forth from the boat is via Kayak. This is in paddling distance of the boat. FIRST LEVEL:
Enter the boat from the cushioned floor front deck through full size sliding glass doors and step into the air-conditioned, high ceiling (7'4"), crisp white and gloss black trimmed wheelhouse/entry foyer. Ceilings are 7'4" throughout the entire boat and all exterior decks have cushion decking underfoot.

Two solid maple pocket doors ahead lead to the Master and Guest Staterooms (bedrooms) on your left and right. An indoor spiral staircase leads upstairs to the second floor living area and exterior 2nd level decks.

MASTER STATEROOM:
To the left, the Master Stateroom is down a short hall flanked with three floor to ceiling windows and a gently curving maple paneled wall. A 42" tv sits above granite counters topping a 9 drawer solid maple built-in dresser with matching granite top 3 drawer maple bedside table beside your plush adjustable queen size bed.

There are two closets en suite with space for luggage and gear in one and hangers for clothes in both. The attached private bath has cool tile floors, a large tiled shower with frame-less glass enclosure and a two flush mount sinks set in a matching granite topped vanity with generous mirrored upper cabinets.
A full sliding glass door at the rear of the master stateroom provides access to and from the 1st level stern deck with a two-story outdoor spiral staircase to the second level aft deck and the 500 square foot furnished sun deck on the 3rd level above.

GUEST STATEROOM:
From the entry foyer to the right,
The Guest Stateroom, while smaller than the Master, features the same luxurious adjustable queen bed and its own private tile floor bathroom with large, glass enclosed shower with gently curving tile wall. The flush mount sink in granite counter are topped with a spacious maple vanity and large mirrored cabinet doors.

In the bedroom you'll find a bedside 3 drawer built-in maple cabinet and another 3 drawer cabinet, more granite tops and a 32" wide full height hanging closet. A 32" tv is also set on an articulating wall mount for easily adjustable viewing in bed. Light filtering and black-out blinds cover the 5 foot wide operable bedside window.

SECOND LEVEL:
Upstairs, On the 2nd level there are large fore and aft decks. The forward deck has a wide view of the harbor, bay and ocean beyond. On the stern deck, a cushioned seating area sits 4-6 comfortably with surrounding views of green mangroves topped with blue ocean and sky.

Between the second level decks, in the spacious 30 foot long 14 foot wide Main Salon and Galley area (living room and kitchen) there's air conditioned space to relax and entertain. A stylish sectional sofa and very comfortable recliner face 3 floor to ceiling windows with plenty of room to relax, watch a movie or just take in the view. The unique design of the sectional sofa allows it to convert into a queen size bed for your additional (5th and 6th) guests.

More than three quarters of the 2nd level is wrapped in glass. The floor to ceiling windows, sliding glass doors on either end and 5 more windows bring tropical blue-green Caribbean waters that float just above lush green mangroves into the living space as sailboats and yachts bob in the harbor.

In the galley, next to to the living room, more granite tops the kitchen counter with full size stainless steel double sink, full size fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and Keurig combo coffee maker.

The adjacent 5 ft x 3 ft granite breakfast island/bar with 4 comfortable low-backed, adjustable height bar stools is a popular spot for hanging out, sharing company and catching a game or movie on the 56" 4K HD tv.

In the evenings you control the hidden lighting system that glows softly to surround the room to with colors to accompany your evening mood. There's dozens of colors to chose from and you can customize the scene with hundreds of combinations from cool blues, pale yellows and greens to warm oranges, purples and fiery red.

THIRD LEVEL:
And Finally, up on the 3rd floor sun deck there's comfortably cushioned lounge seating for 10 and a round day bed with sunshade for catching some tropical rays. The truly panoramic view overlooking the open Caribbean ocean is difficult to fully describe. Incomparable, blazing sunsets, stargazing away from the lights of downtown and stunning sunrises. THE SPACE

Experience rustic luxury on board our one-of-a-kind houseboat. The main room is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, revealing endless views of the ocean and sky. Curtains can be drawn for privacy. The high canvas ceiling makes the space feel expansive, and the simple design lets you feel at-one with nature.

Enjoy direct access to a nearby sandbar where you can soak up some Key West magic, or you can reach a nearby island if you prefer to lay out on its rustic beach.

There is a full en suite bathroom on board, plus a combined kitchenette/walk-in closet area where you can enjoy coffee from a Keurig machine, keep your beverages cool, and store your belongings. A gasoline-powered, electric-start generator can be accessed directly from the closet area, allowing you to have electricity on board without the need to pull any chords or fill any gas tanks (the generator's exhaust fumes are directed to blow outside of the houseboat).

All reservations include a two-person kayak, a floating water mat, snorkel gear, and hammocks.

To access the houseboat, which is anchored on the water about 5-10 minutes from shore, guests are responsible for coordinating and paying for their own transportation to and from land. Alternatively, guests can reach the houseboat via kayak or paddleboard (if they bring their own). As one option, a local company provides rentals at a nearby beach resort, and full access to the resort beach, pool, and tiki bar are included in their rental price (food can also be purchased from the tiki bar). The houseboat is within visible distance of the beach resort, making for easy travel between the two during the rental company's hours of operation. (Please note that there is no agreement in place for overnight parking, so we do not recommend this as your primary mode of transport). We can provide the company's information after booking. For now, please be advised of some of their rates below:

COMPLIANCE WITH FLORIDA LAW
Please read our Rental Agreement carefully before booking. Florida law requires houseboats to comply with certain rules and formalities. By submitting a booking with us through VRBO or affiliates, each guest explicitly agrees to be bound by the terms of our "Vacation Rental Agreement," which are shown in our listing.

In order to comply with Florida law and receive the access code to enter the property, EACH GUEST must do the following before the day of check-in:
1. Fill out, sign, and return a full copy of the Vacation Rental Agreement, which will be sent to you separately after booking via SignWell. (Remember, you can read a full copy of the Agreement's terms in our listing).
2. Send us a copy of your valid, unexpired photo ID
3. If born after 1987, send us a copy of your valid Florida boating safety ID card OR a temporary certificate (these can easily and quickly be acquired online, and we can send you the information after booking)
4. Watch the Pre-Rental Instruction Video (we will provide the video after booking)
5. Initial, sign, and return a copy of the "Livery Pre-Rental and Pre-Ride Instruction Checklist and Attestation Form" which we will provide after booking (each guest needs to fill out their own form)

EXPECTATIONS ABOUT YOUR STAY
Because of the houseboat's “off the grid” location on the ocean, it is important that guests have proper expectations about their stay.

FRESHWATER

The houseboat will have approximately 150 gallons of freshwater at check-in. Renters are responsible for making sure that they conserve enough water, and they are strongly encouraged to keep each shower to a maximum of 15 minutes and to turn off the sink’s faucet when not in use. If applicable, and at no extra charge, we will refill the water tanks every fourth day of your stay (or less often, if water consumption is lower than expected).

If more water is needed, guests can request a refill for an extra fee. However, we cannot guarantee that extra water can be delivered quickly enough, since the water is delivered through a third-party.

ELECTRICITY

A gasoline-powered generator is provided on board. The generator needs to be turned on in order to use: the A/C unit, and the coffeemaker. If the batteries are properly charged, then Renters will not need to turn on the generator in order to use: the phone charger/outlet that is by the bed, or the LED lights that wrap around the room. However, in the rare event that these items have no power, it is a sign that the generator needs to be turned on in order to charge the batteries.

AIR CONDITIONING

Guests should be aware that on sunny days, the temperature inside the houseboat will be hot. The A/C unit can help to cool the temperature. However, when it is sunny, the A/C unit should not be expected to create a cold environment. (The A/C DOES create a chilly environment at night!)

In order to better cool off during the day, guests should direct the intensity and direction of the A/C unit’s fan by using the remote control. (For example, if guests are in the seating area, they should adjust the fan to blow in that direction.) The door should remain closed in order to facilitate the cooling.

FOOD

Guests are responsible for bringing their own food and drinking water. Some bottles of water will be provided as a courtesy, but guests should arrange to bring extra drinking water on board (we cannot guarantee that the freshwater provided in the tanks is safe for drinking). Guests are responsible for coordinating their transportation between the houseboat and shore to make food trips. If guests choose to rely on any third-party service (such as a water taxi), guests need to be mindful of that service’s rules and times of operation to avoid running out of food.

Additionally, if you let us know in advance, we can help you coordinate with a third party food delivery service. They typically charge $20-30 to deliver food directly to the houseboat.

WHAT TO BRING

In addition to food and water, guests should bring plenty of sunblock for protection from the strong Florida sun. There is plenty of turtle grass in the area, so water shoes are highly recommended to protect your feet from any cuts or scrapes.

Due to the unique nature of the property and the aquatic activities involved, guests expressly assume all risks during their stay and agree to release the host from liability for any kind of negligence.

Additional Information - Boarding the boat made easy by stepping straight onto the rear platform and entering the deck through the rear deck door. You are welcome and encouraged to use the bow and flybridge. They are some of the most enjoyable areas aboard. Your safety is our top priority so we require you to use handrails while walking up to the bow. It can be slippery. We also require you to use ladder rails with two hands when climbing up and down from the flybridge. There is no leaning on the rails from the top of the bridge. No running allowed on the vessel.
Please note:
Staying on a boat has some added risks that a house does not. Decks get slippery and you must step from the dock to the boat. With that in mind we do require a signed waiver to stay. Boat living is not for everyone and we want everyone to have a great experience. Climbing aboard may be difficult for those with hip, knee, or other mobility issues. There are stairs to access the boat and within the boat. You may have to make a longer than usual step to access the boat. Use handrails with caution.

Think of this experience as a unique glamping experience, not a luxury hotel stay! If you keep this mentality, you will not be disappointed!

If you are sensitive to the smell of sea water, an overnight stay on a boat may not be for you.

Be aware that hot water is very limited and showers on the boat will not be glamorous, for this reason, we strongly encourage use of the shower house.

The toilet onboard is emptied weekly. We encourage minimal toilet paper usage and going number two at the marina, if possible.

The boat will remain stationary for your stay. If you are interested in a chartered experience, just let us know and we will help coordinate that with a captain.

The Perry offers great shower facilities that are a short walk from the boat. We will provide you with the key code to access these amenities.

Enjoy this classic floating home all to yourself! This home can accommodate up to four guests and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s perfect, far away from the busy and noisy city. Amazing and quiet area where you can enjoy gorgeous sunsets and sunrise.

The Salty Sunshine is a unique ocean glamping experience on the waters of Key West. You won’t need to rough it, but it does come with restrictions you wouldn’t otherwise have on land.

Waivers for transportation are required for water taxi and stay.

The House Boat is approved by the Coast Guard for six guests – no more.

Outside normal hours of operation cannot be guaranteed and must be arranged with water taxis ahead of time. (PLAN AHEAD) –You can set up a private shuttle with the water taxi service.

FREE TIME SLOTS: (the water taxi only allows us to buy these slots for our guests) 4 pm departure to house boat and 9 am or 9:30 am pick up from house boat.

Outside of the FREE time slots you will need to pay the water taxi. $20 per guest.

***NO the water taxi will not credit your pre-paid time slots for other seats and hours.***

The Florida Required Livery Check In will be completed by the captain on the water taxi for our guests. The first check-in will need to be completed by our preferred transportation, after the first day you can use any taxi service you would like for transportation.

The Water Taxi captain will check all guests that will be staying on the Salty Sunshine the first day. ***Required*** Check in starts at 4 pm (Departing from the dock). Later check-ins can be arranged with water taxi service per taxi rules.

The Salty Sunshine pays for the 4pm check in service with the water taxi. Past our free pre-paid 4 pm check in–you will need to arrange your check in with the water taxi service. $20 per guest seat.

The taxi only allows the Salty Sunshine to pay for the listed (4pm) free spots. Please remember the amount of guests you book on Airbnb will be the seat we have submitted to the water taxi. The taxi cannot have more than six guests for transport. You cannot add additional guests at the dock. You also cannot have more than six guests on the Salty Sunshine. Yes, children count as guests.

COMPLIANCE WITH FLORIDA LAW

A Florida Livery Check in is required and must be done by a certified captain who transports you to the vessel. Each guest on the vessel is subjected to the rule of the State of Florida and the "Vacation Rental Agreement" which each guest must sign and follow the house rules.

To comply with Florida law and receive keys and transportation to the vessel, EACH GUEST must do the following do the following BEFORE the day of the check in:

1. Properly fill out and sign a full copy of the Vacation Rental Agreement, which will be sent to you via SMARTWAIVER. (Remember, you can read a full copy of the Agreement's terms in our House Rules section).

2. **ONLY BOOKER** Send us a copy of your valid Florida boating safety ID card, Temporary Certificate, or other form of compliance (you can easily acquire the temporary certificate online in about 15 minutes, and we'll send you the info after booking)

3. Once on the vessel, a "Livery PRE-RENTAL and PRE-RIDE instruction Checklist" which will be provided.

4. This information is given to guests in ENGLISH and the guests must be able to understand what the captain is going over with them.

*Marine toilets are different from land based ones.

*No WIFI needed, cell service is available the whole time.

*Refrigerator to keep your drinks and snacks chilled. (SOLOR POWERED)

*Air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable. (gen required, 12 hours of run time)

*Plates, utensils, and other kitchen basics for dining onboard.

*Breakfast Nook.

*Fold out bed in living room.

*Lawn chairs for relaxing on the dock or upper sun deck.

WATER AND HOT WATER: The water pump switch will need to be turned on by the captain for water pressure, and the water heater will automatically turn on once water begins to flow. We have a back up propane tank next to the water heater. You have a 150 gal water tank. Please use it wisely. Replenishing water can only happen the next day in the afternoon.

Power: You have solar power during your stay and will power normal lighting and portside plugs for charging cell phones ONLY. A generator is included with 12 hours of fuel daily. Please remember to only use generators for starboard plugs, coffee pot, and A/C unit, fans, hair dryers. Refueling is in the afternoon the next day.

*All necessary safety equipment and protocols as required by FWC livery and Coast Guard regulations. Along with required boater safety and boat waivers for transportation.

Vessel Easy Way has an outdoor shower, paddle board, and outdoor grill. This floating home is perfect for people who want to relax and enjoy nature.

The space
Simple and easy. Although the vessel has AC feel free to keep the windows open and let the sea breeze keep you cool during the day. There is a stove and a small propane grill that can be used for cooking. The table converts to a king size bed at night for a nice sleeping arrangement. Up the stairs has a sitting area to read or just enjoy nature. Outside we have a top deck to relax and on the bow there is a covered bench seat if you want shade.

Down the stairs has a marine head “toilet” there is no indoor shower or bathtub.

Our mission was to have an affordable option for accommodation for our charter guests. The houseboat is comfortable, safe, and quiet. It is recommended for people who don’t want the night life of downtown Key West as ferry service back to the boat ends at 8 pm.

Guest access
Guests are free to enjoy the boat at the mooring. For insurance purposes guest cannot take the boat off the anchorage. Pick ups are usually 7-9 am depending on schedule- drop off at the boat are before sunset. Water taxi service available for late hour services through a third party.

Other things to note
One of the hosts will ferry you to the boat and back once daily.

A successful and enjoyable stay aboard our "Sunshine Daydream" revolves around setting your expectations correctly!

While we offer all the modern amenities likely found in your home, it’s still a boat with unique characteristics.

Due to a persistent water leak in the forward cabin’s hatch, we are no longer welcoming guests in that room until we fix the issue completely. Only the aft master cabin is available with just one large bed.

If you think of "Sunshine Daydream" as more of a glamping trip than a floating hotel you are setting your expectations correctly! Plan on utilizing the marina bathrooms for showers and toilets. The marina bathrooms are cleaned hourly, private, and nice. We provide a toiletry basket with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion for you to use. The toilet on board has a VERY SMALL holding tank. Its pumped out weekly and therefore, is for emergency, tiny pee, usage only. Absolutely no toilet paper or feminine products in the toilet - it will clog and that is not fun.

While Sunshine Daydream is a good sized boat, she is still a BOAT. She is full of what some people would call obstacles. We recommend that our guests be quite confident in their nimbleness. For example, when boarding the boat the dock will move - because it floats. We do have a sturdy boarding platform, however, it can be a big step for some. When entering the boat you have to climb down some steep steps. The boat may not be suitable for all guests.

This is an ocean going yacht and all the machinery and plumbing is located directly beneath the living room floor. There are two large Diesel engines in there and diesel fuel tanks and a plumbing holding tank. Some guests have noticed smells, some have not. If you are sensitive to these possibilities then please reconsider booking.

This boat is kept incredibly clean and is very comfortable, but she does show her age with some exterior blemishes.

The entire boat has A/C and works wonderful.

Laundry: Please utilize the marina facilities.

Remember that she is a boat!

Shuttle service takes you to old town Key West, leaving every hour from the hotel lobby.

The space
This is a well kept sailboat with 3 cabins and 2 staterooms. The aft Captain's cabin is a walkthrough beam to beam stateroom with ensuite and full to queen sized berth. Forward of that is the full bathroom to starboard and full galley (kitchen) to port. Forward of that is the main saloon with TV and enough seating for 6. Forward of that is the V-berth stateroom that can sleep 2 as well. This is a sailboat and not a houseboat, so if you have mobility issues it may be difficult to get around. The boat is not a flat surface until you get down to the living area and has stairs/ladders you must climb to get in and out of.

Entire boat and all the amenities that the Hotel and Marina offer! This includes free onsite parking, swimming pools, shuttle to Key West, clean bathrooms and laundry facilities, bars and restaurants and the 24 hr fitness center.

Other things to note
The slip number and gate ode will be provided before arrival. The code gives access to the boat slip and the marina facilities. Please park your vehicle in the parking lot and display the temporary parking pass. If you need to unload your vehicle, you may use the gate code provided to drive down to the boat and unload, but please do not park and leave your car. There is 24-hour security. We recommend that all bathroom needs be done at the marina facilities except for emergencies and small pees. Not everyone is accustomed to using a toilet aboard a boat and may find the marina facilities more comfortable. Please note all amenities including the bathrooms/showers, pools and gym are owned and operated by the hotel and marina, and we do not have control over them.

Being in Florida and on the water, during summer/hot months, we do get mosquitoes and no-see-ums! What are no-see-ums? A harmless yet pesky insect that is more annoying than anything - A tiny biting fly! What are no see ums attracted too? People!! Why?? Because we give off body heat-they love the heat, body oder-one of the most attractive smells is body oder and perspiration, certain perfumes can also be attractive and carbon dioxide-every time you exhale, you release carbon dioxide and this is the primary thing that they are attracted to! So there really is no escaping them, but you can help repel them. Lemongrass, citronella and eucalyptus are some natural remedies or bug spray - skin-so-soft works well! Helpful things for their itchy bites and inflammation are camphor, menthol and arnica.

Keep in mind before reserving, that the water shuttle has to be booked in advance or latest by 2 pm on day of your check in and with at least a 2 hour notice and has a 2 person minimum fee requirement (you can read all the details and their policies on their site s2skeywest (shuttle-services). It is a independent company that we are not affiliated with.
LATEST WATER SHUTTLE RIDE TO THE BOAT IS 7 PM, BOOK ACCORDINGLY PLEASE.
The shuttle service offers the following time slots at check in 3 pm, 5 pm and 7 pm and 9 am and 11 am at check out.
The boat stays at anchor and is only used as accommodation it is not used for used for motoring recreationally.

NOT APPROPRIATE FOR INFANTS OR YOUNG CHILDREN UNDER 8 YEARS OLD MINIMUM. ALL SAFETY GEAR IS ON THE BOAT PER US COAST GUARD REQUIREMENT.
The boat is spacious and cozy, it has front berth (V shaped double bed at the bow and a double bed at the stern. There are curtain privacy drape that separate view from the living room area or the aft berth. The bathroom does have a door.

If you’re not comfortable at sea this is not the right accommodation for you. You are on a boat so unless it’s a really calm night with no wind at all there will be water sound (some people mention in their review the fact that there is water sound well you are on a boat :)

If the winds pick up lot or there is heavy rain that won’t stop, the water taxi might shut down earlier in order to bring the guests safely to and fro. On windy days you might get a little splashed getting to the boat. The water shuttle service is an independent service not affiliated with Airbnb or the host, you are responsible for paying your water shuttle rides. The water taxi location is Garrison Bight Marina slip 6.
The water shuttle charges $55/person that includes 1 carry on item +1 personal item. Additional Baggage – $20/ticket; 1 oversized item (such as large luggage or a cooler) OR 1 carry-on plus 1 personal item OR 3 personal items. Check-in times are 3,5 and 7pm. Check-out time are 9am and 11am, Again water taxi is $55 per person per single ride ($ 110 round trip) minimum of 2 person. When you book with us, we provide a promo code for discount on your rides.
If you’re in town to mainly party is better to stay on land…as you won’t be able to get to the boat late at night.

If you are looking for a hotel style of luxurious accommodation or don't feel comfortable at sea this may not be the best accommodation for you, if you are expecting to take a long nice hot shower being on a boat is not the right accommodation for you, as water is limited on a boat, no hot water. Think of this as glamping on the water but more comfortable!
THERE IS NO AC (pending)but there is usually a nice breeze on this boat, especially on the deck up top where you can tan, watch the stars and the dolphins! But it will get hot in the summer time especially on calm nights with no breeze, thankfully the ocean is at your doorstep!

The bathroom has a very delicate Marine electric toilet. $500 repair fee will be impose if the following are not met and cause the bathroom system to get clogged or fail. Please DO NOT THROW or FLUSH anything that did not go through your mouth first, meaning DO NOT FLUSH you did not eat. DO NOT FLUSH toilet paper or any sanitary products.There is a waste basket and bags provide that you can use. USE TRASH CAN.

NO COOKING on the boat. You can bring snacks or take out food, cold meal items. There is a cooler for your convenience so you can bring ice, drinking water, your other favorite drinks, etc.

NO SMOKING in the boat or outside around leather seating. $500 extra cleaning fee maybe imposed or $1000 repair/ replacement fee if leaders seating are damage by negligence.
You may smoke at the back swim platform but be mindful on where the wind is blowing from, ashes from cigarettes burn boat decks

If you are adventurous, spontaneous, have an open mind, being part of nature, seeing dolphins, the seeing bright stars and cherish those kind of moments only the ocean can offer, I you will love this experience and it will be unforgettable and a memorable experience.

NO FISHING ON THE BOAT AS IT STINKS UP THE BOAT, SORRY!
Careful diving off the boat for your safety as the deck can be slippery and the water in Key West can be shallow, 5 feet where the boat is anchored depending on the tide, it is a boat and if you go in the water it can get slippery so please be careful.

This boat is a perfect romantic getaway or a fun friends' retreat.
Maximum occupancy limits are set at 4 to ensure a comfortable safe experience.
You can go swimming right off the boat, wake up in the morning and jump right in the nice warm water of Key West! There's a wide ladder for easy access on and off the boat and a large swim platform, just be careful to the current, I have long line tied to the cleat you can throw in the water and hold on to it if you don’t wanna float away from the boat especially if there are currents.
It will be a great fun adventure! Your private boat is anchored just offshore downtown Key West, on North Fleming Key, amongst other beautiful boats. About 1.5 miles from shore, too far to be reached by kayak that’s why water taxi is needed.

At night you can lay out on the deck on the front and look up to the sky and while listening to the beautiful relaxing sounds of the ocean and enjoy a beautiful breeze. During the day you can look out for dolphins and all kinds of fish swimming around. And no I can’t pay the dolphins to show up, they show up when they want :)

A cooler is on board for drinks and food (guest provide their own ice).
Towels, sheets, blankets and hand sanitizer are provided.
No other boats are allowed to be tied to the boat.
Please keep in mind, on windy days it is possible that you will get a little wet on the trips in and out, other than that it's very smooth. If the weather gets extremely bad and it’s not safe to be taken to the boat the reservation can be canceled and the money refunded by Airbnb.
The boat will remain anchored during your stay as it used as accommodation only.
Being on a boat there is limited space so please keep in mind to pack lightly, anyways you won't need much during your wonderful stay in the Keys, and the water shuttle does not have a lot if space for big luggage and will charge extra for bigger and multiple bags, you can read all water shuttle policies on their website (which you will receive after booking). If you're looking for a luxury cruise ship this is probably not fit for you, it is not a luxurious yacht either.

Guests can use the entire boat space, except the underneath engine area of course and the Wheel house.

Other things to note
Guest will have to sign Bare Boat Charter Agreement as requested by federal law and enforced by US Coast Guard or will not be allowed to stay on the boat.

Check Weather at all times.
If the weather gets really bad on the day of your check in and it is not safe to be taken to the boat the reservation can be canceled and the money refunded due to weather conditions. It would not be unsafe to stay in the boat, but the water taxi cannot transport guests from a boat to the other safely. Usually that would be when the winds are around 25 knots out of the North or North West. Also heavily intoxicated people will not be transported on there water taxi or allowed to stay on the boat.

If you don’t follow instructions and you drain the batteries which cause damage to them you will be charged. Careful diving off the boat for your safety as the water in key West can be shallow and be careful if you go in the water as it can get slippery in the boat and use the rope provided and life jackets if not a good swimmer and if the currents are strong.
Keep in mind the weather is mostly beautiful, but it might rain or be windy in Key West at times.
Water is limited on the boat, if you use up all the water and want more water to be taken to the boat there will be a charge of $25!

Other things to note
Boat living is not for everyone and we want everyone to have a great experience. Climbing aboard may be difficult for those with hip, knee, or other mobility issues. There are stairs to access the boat and within the boat. You may have to make a longer than usual step to access the boat. Use handrails with caution.

Think of this experience as a unique glamping experience, not a luxury hotel stay! If you keep this mentality, you will not be disappointed!

If you are sensitive to the smell of sea water, an overnight stay on a boat may not be for you.

Be aware that hot water is very limited and showers on the boat will not be glamorous, for this reason, we strongly encourage use of the shower house.

The toilet onboard is emptied weekly. We encourage minimal toilet paper usage and going number two at the marina, if possible.

The boat will remain stationary for your stay. If you are interested in a chartered experience, just let us know and we will help coordinate that with a captain.

The Perry offers great shower facilities that are a short walk from the boat. We will provide you with the key code to access these amenities.

PRE-ARRIVAL
All guests born on or after Jan 1, 1988 will need to have a FL Boater Safety Card. Link to a short, common sense test provided after booking. Plan on having all groceries for your check in. A fridge and freezer are included, along with a Pur water filter. Bottled drinking water and ice are subject to inventory and not guaranteed.

ARRIVAL
A car is not necessary! But if you brought one, let your host know. We will customize check-in to make it most convenient for your group. Coordinate with your host for your specific itinerary well in advance. Remember, all shuttles are $29 per person each way and require pre-payment and 12 hour notice.

DOCKING
When your shuttle or charter boat is leaving or approaching another vessel or a dock, please remember to stay seated and keep your hands inside the vessel. DO NOT STAND UP until your Captain instructs you to. DO NOT touch any lines, docks, boats, obstructions, or anything outside the vessel. For your safety, it is important to understand that you are not part of the crew and should not perform crew duties. Attempting to do so can hinder our ability to operate safely. Listen to your Captain for orders and do not perform anything not specifically instructed by your Captain. Please hand bags over before moving to or from the vessel. It is our top priority to keep you and your group safe.

Marine toilet paper has been stocked for your use, and small trash cans with lids are in each bathroom. Your hosts will pick up trash regularly.

Gypsy Soul is a 2017 42’ Lagoon sailing catamaran located at the beautiful Perry Hotel & Marina. She is steps away from 2 restaurants (one being my favorite Bad Boy Taqueria & Tequila) and guests have access to pool, laundry & showering facilities. The Captain, Lisa (me), lives aboard with her mini schnauzer Ryder so when you stay we will be sharing the galley and salon area with us. Just staying on a boat in the Keys is a fabulous way to fully experience the area. Hot water shower onboard.

Please do not leave doors & windows open. We realize it’s very nice to turn off the A/C and have a cool breeze in the boat but this is not ok. This will allow wild animals access as well as humidity which are both very bad for this boat at dock. This will avoid any additional charges that could occur.

The upstairs sun deck is a great spot to relax with an outdoor breeze. There are lights along the top deck railing for the evening.

All operating systems and passenger comforts were completely reworked or replaced in 2016. The sailboat is equipped with two working heads, one in the aft stateroom, complete with a full shower. The other is accessible from the V-Berth or the main salon. The galley is equipped with an oven, stove, cook plate, microwave, coffee maker and an 18" cubic ft. refrigerator. She is capable of sleeping 4 comfortably. Two people in her full size bed in the aft stateroom. Two in the v-birth The boat is fully air conditioned to keep you cool on those hot days. 3 TV's, 1 in the salon and 1 in each stateroom, complete with a DVD player and variety of DVDs.

"Taking Stock" is docked on Stock Island, just 15 minutes from downtown Key West on The Last Remaining, old-school live-aboard, dock in the Florida Keys.

This 56 foot, 1987 Three Buoys SunSeeker houseboat was completely rebuilt over 10 months ,Oct '21 to May '22. She is VERY spacious with room to stretch out and relax. There's 400 square feet indoors and 500 square feet outdoors. The Livingroom features 2 comfortable full sized couches, one of which folds out to a queen size bed.

Our little, hidden 15 slip dock is not a high-end tourist resort. This is a working-class dock with a collection older, live-aboard boats and a few other Airbnb boats. What it certainly lacks in *bling* it over-compensates for with unobstructed, mile-wide views of the Ocean and Mangrove Islands on Boca Chica Channel.

My neighbors on this dock range from young families with grade-school age kids to 50s & 60s like myself. Together we make up a cozy little community where neighbors are typically friendly and helpful.

The land-side of this property can be a little busy during the day sometimes and a little bit industrial in appearances so if you're looking for a typical "resort" this may not be your "thing". We have a 2-bay mechanic's garage and car wash operating on premises as well as a Hattian food truck (the food is Delicious!!) and convenience store to sample another island culture and reflecting the diverse community that makes up Stock Island and Key West.

If you're looking for an entire home for the price of a hotel room or an upgraded slice of what Key West was like back-in-the-day with direct Ocean Access and Open Water Views, you're in the right place!

Upstairs there's panoramic views of mile-wide Boca Chica Chanel and a dozen or so tiny mangrove islands. Boca Chica Channel is perfect for exploring and fishing with the two 12' Sea Kayak included for your use anytime. Fishing rods and tackle are available on board.

On board there's everything you need to make your stay as lively or relaxing as you feel.

Large open living room, two couches, full kitchen with breakfast bar and sideboard, full bathroom with shower, laundry and private bedroom with queen size bed and water views out sliding glass doors. The boat is fully air-conditioned by a pair of 12kBTU split-system A/C's to stay cool and comfortable.

The Stern Deck is outside the bedroom door and leads upstairs to the four hundred square foot Sun-Deck. Both great spots to relax and enjoy the view of the channel and islands. The top deck is great for catching sun during the day and stargazing in the evening.

Wild birds, heron, osprey, cormorants, bald eagles, egrets, pelicans and frigate birds wade, float, soar and hunt in this mile-wide channel throughout the day and evening, adding motion to the rise and fall of the tide while the occasional manatee gracefully lumbers by.

On most days, about an hour or so before sunset, you'll have your own airshow overhead when Navy fighter pilots return from training over the Gulf of Mexico in long arcs and prepare to land at Boca Chica Naval Air Station, about 2 miles east and an important Naval airbase for pilot training and orienting for operating from aircraft carriers.

The ocean is just a few feet outside your the back door. Feel free to jump in and float around or just chill and watch the tide change. Snorkel gear (masks, fins, snorkels) is available on request

Taking Stock has its own fast, dedicated Internet service and smooth 2.4 & 5 Ghz Wi-Fi. Surf the web, game, watch movies anytime. There's two 43" TVs with HBO, HULU, Netflix, YouTube, Sling TV, and Amazon Prime Movies and Music and Alexa provides voice control for Amazon Prime's expansive music catalog.-

Our Marina has a pool and a small private beach overlooking the beautiful Keys water! This is a fully functional sail boat accessed by steps up from a floating pontoon and then down a few steps into the cabin area , it’s not suitable for people with mobility issues. You should also be aware that boats are not for everyone, the ropes may creak , the water pumps are obviously noisier than using a normal domestic faucet and although the boat is moored in a sheltered marina it may rock slightly. Personally I wouldn’t want it any other way 😊

This yacht is one of a kind with its three stateroom layout. The entire starboard side is a master suite with a private shower and a small desk area. A bareboat charter to the Dry Tortugas would require a minimum of five nights and you would have to purchase three-24 hour excursions in addition to what you pay Airbnb, giving you one night at the Dry Tortugas. You would stay at the Marquesas islands halfway on your way there and on your way back. This is truly a bucket list charter that will provide memories that will last a lifetime. The Dry Tortugas is too far to go and come back in one day.

We also offer bareboat day charters where you do not have to stay overnight on the boat. This type of charter must be booked directly through our company as Airbnb is only set up for overnight accommodation bookings.

If you want to operate the boat or tender yourself you must book directly with our company to go through an approval process. Taking the vessel yourself (and not hiring a captain) is subject to prior experience on similar vessels.

We do not provide snorkel gear, & it is recommended you rent a full set at a nearby dive shop to assure your gear will fit you properly. You can rent fishing gear here as well as this is not provided. Paddleboard and kayak rentals are also available nearby and some companies will even deliver them to the marina.

The advertised price on this listing covers the cost of insurance that covers you and the crew during your reservation period as well as the cost to survey the boat after you leave. You will be required to undergo a bareboat contract and will take full responsibility of the operation and safety of the yacht, crew, and all passengers.

WELCOME ABOARD OUR 2014 LAGOON 52 CATAMARAN

Our Lagoon 52 offers a unique and memorable stay on the water while docked at the Perry Marina & Hotel. This catamaran is a cherished part of our family adventures and is currently being lovingly restored. It’s perfect for families, groups, or couples seeking a distinctive getaway.

ABOUT THE CABINS
The boat features six cabins, three on each side (port and starboard), offering a variety of configurations:

Port Side Cabins:
- The bow cabin features a cozy double bed.
- The midship cabin includes bunk beds, ideal for kids or additional guests.
- The stern cabin offers a private double bed but is only accessible via an external entrance, making it a great option for added privacy.

Starboard Side Cabins:
- The bow cabin mirrors the port side, with a comfortable double bed.
- The midship cabin features another double bed, perfect for couples or solo travelers.
- The stern cabin matches the port side with a private double bed and external access only.

Each cabin has air conditioning, which we kindly ask you to use only while in the space to conserve energy. Storage is limited throughout the boat, as expected on any vessel, but the layout ensures functionality and comfort.

ABOUT THE BOAT
This catamaran is equipped with reliable shore power, a 17.5 kWh generator, and a watermaker for trips away from the dock. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including a mixer, ice maker, electric oven, hot plates, cups, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and a griddle. Some items are stored under bunks or seats due to the limited space but are easy to access when needed. Multiple fridges and coolers onboard ensure you have plenty of space for food and drinks.

MARINA AMENITIES
Your stay includes access to the Perry Marina and Hotel’s excellent facilities. There are pools, restaurants, and laundry facilities available on-site. While there is no washer or dryer on the boat, we provide a card for the marina’s laundry machines, which you can recharge and use as needed.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to and from Key West, making it easy to explore the area without the need for a car. Rideshare services like Lyft are also available on the island. Please note there is no parking provided for guests. If you’d like to explore Key West further, golf carts can be rented both at the hotel and in town.

DOCKED LIVING AND OPTIONAL TRIPS
For most stays, the boat remains docked, providing a peaceful and unique experience. If you’d like to take the boat off the dock, it is possible with prior approval and the following requirements:
- A USCG-certified captain with at least 5,000 nautical miles of experience on a similar or larger boat must be hired. We can provide a list of captains or approve your chosen captain.
- A $250 per day fee applies to cover extra cleaning, maintenance, and wear and tear. A refundable $3,500 deposit and a signed additional agreement are required to go off the dock.

IMPORTANT DETAILS
As with any boat, occasional maintenance may be needed. Rest assured, we’ve built in redundancies like access to marina facilities to ensure your stay remains enjoyable. While docked, the boat uses the marina’s water supply, and the watermaker is available for use during trips.

Guests are welcome to use beach toys onboard, but we kindly ask that you return them after use. To help with cleanliness, please minimize bringing sand into the cabins.

HOUSEKEEPING
For stays longer than a week or if you’d like a mid-stay cleaning, we can arrange it for an additional fee.

Guest access
You will have access to the full boat, Perry Marina and Hotel’s excellent facilities.

You will be able to get into the sailboat via a lock you remove from the main door. This is a coded lock.

The boat is accessed via steps to get on board. Mobility to go up the stairs is necessary.

Other things to note
This is a boat. Things break. We ask that you be patient. If items on the boat break, this will not be a reason for a refund. We pay a premium to stay at the Perry Hotel & Marina that gives you access to off-boat showers and restrooms.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

1. Acknowledgment of Risks:

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that boating, sailing, swimming, snorkeling, and related water activities involve inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:

Drowning
Electrocution (e.g., faulty wiring, lightning strikes, shore power issues)
Severe sunburn or heatstroke
Hypothermia (especially in cold water or wet/windy conditions)
Dehydration
Seasickness / Motion sickness
Food poisoning / Gastrointestinal illness (e.g., spoiled food or contaminated water tanks)
Slips, trips, and falls on wet or unstable surfaces
Broken bones or sprains (from rough seas, collisions, or falling)
Head injuries (e.g., from swinging booms, low hatches, or falls)
Lacerations / Cuts (e.g., from fishing gear, tools, broken glass, or sharp edges)
Burns (e.g., hot surfaces, galley accidents, or engine rooms)
Scalds from hot liquids (coffee, boiling water, etc.)
Crushing injuries (e.g., between boat and dock, anchor winches, heavy gear)
Entrapment (e.g., ropes, winches, hatches)
Carbon monoxide poisoning (from engines or enclosed spaces)
Inhalation of fuel or exhaust fume
Chemical exposure (e.g., cleaning products, battery acid, maintenance chemicals)
Injuries from marine life (jellyfish stings, sea urchins, fish bites, etc.)
Infections from cuts exposed to seawater
Allergic reactions (food, stings, medication)
Falling overboard / man overboard incidents
Exhaustion or fatigue (especially on long passages)
Getting caught in lines or rigging
Injury during docking or anchoring
Psychological stress or anxiety (e.g., during emergencies or extended isolation)
Injuries from water sports (e.g., tubing, snorkeling, diving accidents)
Injuries from rough weather or rogue waves
Accidents while climbing ladders or swim platforms
Getting trapped below deck during a fire or capsize
Disorientation or falling in the dark
Loss of orientation underwater (for divers)
Explosions or fires (e.g., fuel leaks, galley accidents)
Medication-related issues (e.g., forgotten meds, drug interactions, seasickness meds side effects)
Hearing damage from engine noise or horns
Frostbite or cold water exposure in high-latitude trips
Toxic mold or mildew exposure below deck
Rodent or insect bites from infested boats
Physical altercations or interpersonal conflict in confined quarters
I understand that these risks can result in serious injury, illness, or death. I voluntarily choose to participate in these activities, fully aware of the inherent risks involved.

2. Assumption of Responsibility: I accept full responsibility for my own safety and the safety of any minors accompanying me. I agree to adhere to all safety guidelines provided by Oceanscape LLC and to use all safety equipment as instructed. I understand that failure to follow safety protocols increases the risk of injury or death.

3. Release and Waiver: To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Oceanscape LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively referred to as the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me or any minors accompanying me, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, while participating in activities on or related to the vessel SeaLab. I HEREBY WAIVE ANY NEGLIGENCE CLAIMS AGAINST THE RELEASED PARTIES.

4. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney's fees, that they may incur due to my participation or the participation of any minors accompanying me in activities on or related to the vessel SeaLab, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

5. Medical Treatment Authorization: In the event of an emergency, I authorize Oceanscape LLC and its representatives to obtain medical treatment for me and any minors accompanying me. I agree to be responsible for any costs incurred as a result of such medical treatment.

6. Photographic Release: I grant Oceanscape LLC permission to use photographs or videos taken of me and any minors accompanying me during the charter for promotional and marketing purposes, without compensation or further approval.

7. Severability: I agree that if any portion of this Waiver and Release of Liability is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.

8. Governing Law: This Waiver and Release of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal action arising out of or related to this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Denver County, Colorado.

PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY.
