Its a custom built 43 ft sport fish made for overnight trips with all the comforts of home. Sleeps six and is kept in top notch shape. Has a hot shower, three burner stove with oven, microwave ,coffee maker, toaster, tv 3 ac's, electric skillet, rice maker small fridge , under water lights, ice maker and pot and pans for cooking . A nice size back deck to sit and relax to watch the sun come up and set. You can also fish from the boat right at the dock or charter it for a great time on the water.

- "The property is amazing, It is tucked away in the beautiful private cove. You can stand on the dock and see star fish, octopus, and all types of marine life at any time. We drove our 38ft powerboat from Miami to the property. When we arrived there was parking for our boat, plenty of dock space, everything was ready for us, and the Houseboat was Excellent. We had a part fail on our personal power boat that we drove down while we were staying and Bill and Wendy took the time to help us get it fixed and saved our trip! They rode with us to a marina and arranged for our boat to be lifted out of the water over a leaking trim line. The line wasn't available so they had ours repaired for us at a local shop, and all within a few hours. They are amazing hosts. They made the whole trip that much better. The beds were amazing, stores were close by, they let the kids use their paddle boards, and even took us out in their Center console for a ride. I just can't say enough good things about this place. We plan to go back."

This beautiful houseboat is the best way to stay in Key West. Recently Featured in Old Dominion‘s music video “I was on a boat that day”, it has a sleep number bed, hot water and full-size fridge. The Boat is nestled in a very calm bay protected from waves. The beautiful sites surround you as you wake up on the water and the sunsets and stars give you great experiences as you relax on the top deck in the evening. Included in the rental is use of a 13 foot motor boat to get to and from the houseboat.

You have 360° ocean views sunsets sunrises stargazing. You can jump right off the boat into the golf of Mexico. Rental of the houseboat includes use of a 13 foot skiff to get yourself to and from land as well as plenty of parking.

Boating experience is required as you will be out on the water and get yourself to and from the boat. It is important that you are aware that this is a houseboat. Your electric is coming to the form of solar or generator power. There is a water heater and For size shower. There’s also a fridge and microwave. The bed is a sleep number which is adjustable on either side of the bed. There is AC in the bedroom. However the rest of the boat is called with the Ocean breeze in box fans. The top deck is beautiful place to watch sunsets or gaze at the stars. An extra cleaning fee will be charged if dishes are left in the sink or the house is left in very unclean conditions.

This is the best place to stay in The Fl Keys great location beautiful views and an amazing experience, hosted by a six generation local. This is on a houseboat so basic knowledge of the water is recommended. You will have to get yourself to and from the houseboat on a 13 foot skiff. I’ll meet you to check you in and show you the way out to the boat as well as how everything on the boat works like the generator and solar power. The boat does have a full-size fridge, microwave oven, stove top, hot water full size shower, sleep number queen size bed, top deck for sunsets and star gazing , everything you’ll need to be more that comfortable.

I am a six generation local to Key West. And also a licensed captain. I will be available during your stay to take you out to secluded islands in sandbars for snorkeling dolphin watching light tackle fishing or to just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. If you are interested in booking one of these charters during your stay I will be available weather permitting

Plenty of free safe parking is available at the check-in location where the dock is that you will use to get to and from the houseboat. That being said there is not a captain on this boat and I will not be there to assist you with everything so it is important that you can start a generator and the motor on the boat to get you to and from the house boat. They are in perfect working condition however this can be an issue for some people.

This is a houseboat in the Caribbean. It can get hot. you will be using a generator and solar for power. If you check into this house boat and then realize that it is not a hotel room you will not be refunded. This is similar to camping however on a boat that has the amenities however you will have to use a generator and solar for any electrical needs.

This boat is not for complainers nor land lovers. This is a boat I repeat this is a boat.

Check in

I will meet you at the check-in location at a time we scheduled prior to your arrival to show you where to park in the Skiff you will use to get to and from the houseboat. You’ll then follow me out to the houseboat so I can show you have everything on the houseboat works. I’m available if you need assistance during your stay. But everything is very simple to use as long as you do have basic knowledge and our somewhat familiar with the water.

Guest access

The entire boat is yours and your nearest neighbors are far away in the bay. So you’ll feel very private and secluded as you enjoy this unique experience. Access to and from the boat is made to use of a 13 foot kayak provided with the use of the rental. As well as one ride in when you check in and out. Water taxi is available however it is a very short kayak trip.

Other things to note

There is a full-size fridge. There is AC in the bed room however the rest of the boat is cooled with the ocean breeze. Most people don’t use the AC as the breeze and a fan make it very comfortable. However this is a boat in the Caribbean so on some days it can be hot. The toilet is a little different than yours at home main difference being that you won’t put toilet paper down the head it will go into a trashcan. An extra cleaning fee will be charged if dishes are left in the sink or the house is left in very unclean conditions. If you plan to do a lot of barhopping or partying on Duval this may not be the place for you either although you can get to and from land very easily and quickly this boat is special because it offers the other side of Key West like peaceful calm ocean views sunsets snorkeling.

We provide you with a ride to the boat in the evening to drop off and a ride for pick up in the morning. No nighttime checkins. Pick up and drop off times are flexiable. The shuttle ride is about 10-15 mins each way. The tiny floating home is equipped with solar system to provide lights in the evening, along with fresh water sinks/ showers. There are USB ports to provide enough power to charge your phones. There is an outdoor shower only but the home is moored off shore completely private and away from other boats. There is not a kitchen for cooking but a cooler is provided for drinks and snacks, please bring ice. We provide all towels, sheets, linens, ect. There is a marine toilet onboard, but and NO TOLIET PAPER IS TO BE PUT INTO IT so you must throw all waste into the trash can provided. There is not AC onboard but there are fans, and the windows open which provide a pleasant breeze at night so a AC is not needed. There are not bugs where the boat is located. If you want a charming unique romantic experience that will be unforgettable.

If you do not communicate with us by 4pm with your arrival time so we can schedule your checkin you will be considered a no call no show and a refund will not be provided. Late checkins are fine but MUST be communicated.

We are also not responsible for weather conditions during hurricane seasons which are months of June- November refunds will be based on severity of the storms. We will be more than happy to honor any reservations at anytime of the year if the guest does not feel comfortable regarding weather conditions.

We highly recommend to rent Kayaks. Please contact Troy from Kayak Kings of Key West. We DO NOT run a water taxi. If you are planning on spending more than one night the best way to come back and forth from the boat is via Kayak. This is in paddling distance of the boat. FIRST LEVEL:
Enter the boat from the cushioned floor front deck through full size sliding glass doors and step into the air-conditioned, high ceiling (7'4"), crisp white and gloss black trimmed wheelhouse/entry foyer. Ceilings are 7'4" throughout the entire boat and all exterior decks have cushion decking underfoot.

Two solid maple pocket doors ahead lead to the Master and Guest Staterooms (bedrooms) on your left and right. An indoor spiral staircase leads upstairs to the second floor living area and exterior 2nd level decks.

MASTER STATEROOM:
To the left, the Master Stateroom is down a short hall flanked with three floor to ceiling windows and a gently curving maple paneled wall. A 42" tv sits above granite counters topping a 9 drawer solid maple built-in dresser with matching granite top 3 drawer maple bedside table beside your plush adjustable queen size bed.

There are two closets en suite with space for luggage and gear in one and hangers for clothes in both. The attached private bath has cool tile floors, a large tiled shower with frame-less glass enclosure and a two flush mount sinks set in a matching granite topped vanity with generous mirrored upper cabinets.
A full sliding glass door at the rear of the master stateroom provides access to and from the 1st level stern deck with a two-story outdoor spiral staircase to the second level aft deck and the 500 square foot furnished sun deck on the 3rd level above.

GUEST STATEROOM:
From the entry foyer to the right,
The Guest Stateroom, while smaller than the Master, features the same luxurious adjustable queen bed and its own private tile floor bathroom with large, glass enclosed shower with gently curving tile wall. The flush mount sink in granite counter are topped with a spacious maple vanity and large mirrored cabinet doors.

In the bedroom you'll find a bedside 3 drawer built-in maple cabinet and another 3 drawer cabinet, more granite tops and a 32" wide full height hanging closet. A 32" tv is also set on an articulating wall mount for easily adjustable viewing in bed. Light filtering and black-out blinds cover the 5 foot wide operable bedside window.

SECOND LEVEL:
Upstairs, On the 2nd level there are large fore and aft decks. The forward deck has a wide view of the harbor, bay and ocean beyond. On the stern deck, a cushioned seating area sits 4-6 comfortably with surrounding views of green mangroves topped with blue ocean and sky.

Between the second level decks, in the spacious 30 foot long 14 foot wide Main Salon and Galley area (living room and kitchen) there's air conditioned space to relax and entertain. A stylish sectional sofa and very comfortable recliner face 3 floor to ceiling windows with plenty of room to relax, watch a movie or just take in the view. The unique design of the sectional sofa allows it to convert into a queen size bed for your additional (5th and 6th) guests.

More than three quarters of the 2nd level is wrapped in glass. The floor to ceiling windows, sliding glass doors on either end and 5 more windows bring tropical blue-green Caribbean waters that float just above lush green mangroves into the living space as sailboats and yachts bob in the harbor.

In the galley, next to to the living room, more granite tops the kitchen counter with full size stainless steel double sink, full size fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and Keurig combo coffee maker.

The adjacent 5 ft x 3 ft granite breakfast island/bar with 4 comfortable low-backed, adjustable height bar stools is a popular spot for hanging out, sharing company and catching a game or movie on the 56" 4K HD tv.

In the evenings you control the hidden lighting system that glows softly to surround the room to with colors to accompany your evening mood. There's dozens of colors to chose from and you can customize the scene with hundreds of combinations from cool blues, pale yellows and greens to warm oranges, purples and fiery red.

THIRD LEVEL:
And Finally, up on the 3rd floor sun deck there's comfortably cushioned lounge seating for 10 and a round day bed with sunshade for catching some tropical rays. The truly panoramic view overlooking the open Caribbean ocean is difficult to fully describe. Incomparable, blazing sunsets, stargazing away from the lights of downtown and stunning sunrises. THE SPACE

Experience rustic luxury on board our one-of-a-kind houseboat. The main room is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, revealing endless views of the ocean and sky. Curtains can be drawn for privacy. The high canvas ceiling makes the space feel expansive, and the simple design lets you feel at-one with nature.

Enjoy direct access to a nearby sandbar where you can soak up some Key West magic, or you can reach a nearby island if you prefer to lay out on its rustic beach.

There is a full en suite bathroom on board, plus a combined kitchenette/walk-in closet area where you can enjoy coffee from a Keurig machine, keep your beverages cool, and store your belongings. A gasoline-powered, electric-start generator can be accessed directly from the closet area, allowing you to have electricity on board without the need to pull any chords or fill any gas tanks (the generator's exhaust fumes are directed to blow outside of the houseboat).

All reservations include a two-person kayak, a floating water mat, snorkel gear, and hammocks.

To access the houseboat, which is anchored on the water about 5-10 minutes from shore, guests are responsible for coordinating and paying for their own transportation to and from land. Guests are free to bring their own boat or vessel. For guests who do not have their own transportation, there are a few options listed below.

BEACH RESORT ACCESS

Alternatively, guests can reach the houseboat via kayak or paddleboard (if they bring their own). As one option, a local company provides rentals at a nearby beach resort, and full access to the resort beach, pool, and tiki bar are included in their rental price (food can also be purchased from the tiki bar). The houseboat is within visible distance of the beach resort, making for easy travel between the two during the rental company's hours of operation. (Please note that there is no agreement in place for overnight parking, so we do not recommend this as your primary mode of transport). We can provide the company's information after booking. For now, please be advised of some of their rates below:

COMPLIANCE WITH FLORIDA LAW
Please read our Rental Agreement carefully before booking. Florida law requires houseboats to comply with certain rules and formalities. By submitting a booking with us through VRBO or affiliates, each guest explicitly agrees to be bound by the terms of our "Vacation Rental Agreement," which are shown in our listing.

In order to comply with Florida law and receive the access code to enter the property, EACH GUEST must do the following before the day of check-in:
1. Fill out, sign, and return a full copy of the Vacation Rental Agreement, which will be sent to you separately after booking via SignWell. (Remember, you can read a full copy of the Agreement's terms in our listing).
2. Send us a copy of your valid, unexpired photo ID
3. If born after 1987, send us a copy of your valid Florida boating safety ID card OR a temporary certificate (these can easily and quickly be acquired online, and we can send you the information after booking)
4. Watch the Pre-Rental Instruction Video (we will provide the video after booking)
5. Initial, sign, and return a copy of the "Livery Pre-Rental and Pre-Ride Instruction Checklist and Attestation Form" which we will provide after booking (each guest needs to fill out their own form)

EXPECTATIONS ABOUT YOUR STAY
Because of the houseboat's “off the grid” location on the ocean, it is important that guests have proper expectations about their stay.

FRESHWATER

The houseboat will have approximately 150 gallons of freshwater at check-in. Renters are responsible for making sure that they conserve enough water, and they are strongly encouraged to keep each shower to a maximum of 15 minutes and to turn off the sink’s faucet when not in use. If applicable, and at no extra charge, we will refill the water tanks every fourth day of your stay (or less often, if water consumption is lower than expected).

If more water is needed, guests can request a refill for an extra fee. However, we cannot guarantee that extra water can be delivered quickly enough, since the water is delivered through a third-party.

ELECTRICITY

A gasoline-powered generator is provided on board. The generator needs to be turned on in order to use: the A/C unit, and the coffeemaker. If the batteries are properly charged, then Renters will not need to turn on the generator in order to use: the phone charger/outlet that is by the bed, or the LED lights that wrap around the room. However, in the rare event that these items have no power, it is a sign that the generator needs to be turned on in order to charge the batteries.

AIR CONDITIONING

Guests should be aware that on sunny days, the temperature inside the houseboat will be hot. The A/C unit can help to cool the temperature. However, when it is sunny, the A/C unit should not be expected to create a cold environment. (The A/C DOES create a chilly environment at night!)

In order to better cool off during the day, guests should direct the intensity and direction of the A/C unit’s fan by using the remote control. (For example, if guests are in the seating area, they should adjust the fan to blow in that direction.) The door should remain closed in order to facilitate the cooling.

FOOD

Guests are responsible for bringing their own food and drinking water. Some bottles of water will be provided as a courtesy, but guests should arrange to bring extra drinking water on board (we cannot guarantee that the freshwater provided in the tanks is safe for drinking). Guests are responsible for coordinating their transportation between the houseboat and shore to make food trips. If guests choose to rely on any third-party service (such as a water taxi), guests need to be mindful of that service’s rules and times of operation to avoid running out of food.

Additionally, if you let us know in advance, we can help you coordinate with a third party food delivery service. They typically charge $20-30 to deliver food directly to the houseboat.

WHAT TO BRING

In addition to food and water, guests should bring plenty of sunblock for protection from the strong Florida sun. There is plenty of turtle grass in the area, so water shoes are highly recommended to protect your feet from any cuts or scrapes.

WAIVER AND RELEASE
Due to the unique nature of the property and the aquatic activities involved, guests expressly assume all risks during their stay and agree to release the host from liability for any kind of negligence.

Additional Information - Boarding the boat made easy by stepping straight onto the rear platform and entering the deck through the rear deck door. You are welcome and encouraged to use the bow and flybridge. They are some of the most enjoyable areas aboard. Your safety is our top priority so we require you to use handrails while walking up to the bow. It can be slippery. We also require you to use ladder rails with two hands when climbing up and down from the flybridge. There is no leaning on the rails from the top of the bridge. No running allowed on the vessel.
Please note:
Staying on a boat has some added risks that a house does not. Decks get slippery and you must step from the dock to the boat. With that in mind we do require a signed waiver to stay. This will be sent to you after you book and you will need sign it and send it back to us. Thank you for understanding.

There are several miles of mangrove trails to view wildlife and fish or just simply get lost in nature. This houseboat is a 1 bed, 1 - bath with full kitchen/bar hi in appliances including a induction cooktop. and spacious relaxing livingroom. You can also bring your work here and work in peace in this very spacious home office. Also Off the front you have a covered patio with a ceiling fan and the spacious roof top deck with a complete bar top with great views of the bay.

The master bedroom has a king size bed.

The kitchen is A full size with standard size appliances you have the usual comforts of home.

This unit also includes a washer and dryer.

The check-in process could use some improvement in terms of directions, but Bill was a great host and very responsive. Overall, it was an excellent stay!"
