The Skal Nuphar is a 4500 square foot outstanding boat that is docked at the Old Port of Montréal. It offers modern unique lodging combined with the pleasure of being on the water. We have 11 rooms that can sleep up to 20 guests.

All prices are based on a double occupancy rate (just like a hotel). Our base rate includes 5 rooms with up to 10 guests.

For Summer 2022-

From APRIL 1st until MAY 18th we have a 2 night minimum/16 guests (=8 rooms) minimum rate (with the exception of the April long weekend which is 3 nights/16 guests).

From MAY 19 until OCTOBER 1st .... weekends have a 3 night/16 guests (= 8 rooms) minimum rate.

From OCTOBER 1 until OCTOBER 31 ... weekends have a 2 night/16 guests (=8 rooms) minimum rate.

All long weekends year round have a 3 night minimum.

All 1 night bookings ... have a 20 guests (=11 rooms) minimum rate. We will accept one night bookings from Sunday to Thursday only.

Our base rate includes (5) Rooms (10) Guests – Each additional Guest is One Hundred Dollars per guest - per night.

The Skal Nuphar is an amazing boat designed with bright and elegant colors. Our color palette takes its inspiration from the Nuphar, a hardy and colourful aquatic plant with its large and elegant floating leaves. Just like the Nuphar which thrives in both sun and shade in deep and calm water, our boat is sure to please all season long.

We have installed a luxury hot tub spa with LED lighting, waterfall feature, and speakers with iPhone hookup. You cannot beat the incredible view of the Old Port from this rooftop Hot Tub Spa!

In winter, the Skal Nuphar is the perfect location surrounded by the beautiful marina covered in snow and completely quiet and private,yet only steps away from vibrant and historical Old Montreal.

In summer, the Skal Nuphar's terrace is the ideal location to enjoy the beautiful weather and stunning views. The top deck is a modern oasis with large bean bags, adirondack chairs, a BBQ and outdoor speakers to offer you and your group the ultimate experience. Book a fireworks night for the most unforgettable evening!

With its nautical charm, the Skal Nuphar offers 4,500 square feet of pure comfort on water. Our lounge room fits 16 guests comfortably with seating, bar stools and cocktail tables. We even have a fireplace to keep you cozy and creates a great ambience. (winter only) There is also a fully equipped bar with huge ice well, sink, fridge, coffee machine, Keurig pod machine, a tap for a beer keg, ice machine and plenty of barware. There are speakers on the main floor and the roof top deck that can easily connect to your personal music library.

Do you love to cook?! Our commercial kitchen has everything you need: microwave, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, blender, Kitchenmaid mix master, food processor, commercial oven and dishwasher, stove, pots and pans, plates, glasses, utensils, etc! Don't feel like cooking?! You are steps away from vibrant Old Montreal with amazing gourmet restaurants.

All our state rooms are outside cabins and offer modern decor and sublime comfort. Each bed is made with 400 TC count luxury sheets that are professionally laundered. Our towels are Hotel Collection, made of a microcotton fabric that offers plush softness and quick-drying comfort. Each room has two single beds, a mirror, reading lamps for each bed, storage space for luggage and closet space with drawers. Each of the 10 cabins has a private fully-functioning bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer and iron/ironing board. There is also 2 more powder room accessible to anyone on the boat.

Q: Can the Skal Nuphar take us out for a cruise?
A: No. We are a floating hotel that does not move. We are not licensed to take the boat out for a cruise with guests.

Q: Is there heating in the winter?
A: Yes there is a fireplace in the lounge and also furnace heating for the entire boat, plus small heaters in every room.

Q: Is there air-conditioning in the summer?
A: Yes. Both the main floor lounge and bedrooms are all air conditioned for your comfort.

Q: Is the Hot Tub Spa Working?
A: YES. The Hot Tub Spa is working every day of the year, summer or winter!

Q: Why are the prices so different from the advertised rate on VRBO?
A: VRBO advertises the lowest possible rate without taking into consideration minimum rooms/guests, weekends, taxes and seasons of the year. The pricing is set to ensure you have FULL PRIVATE USE of the boat.

Q: What is the maximum capacity of the Skal Nuphar?
A: The maximum amount of guests that can sleep on the boat is 20. The maximum capacity for events is (50 Guests Summer - 35 Guests Winter).

The space
It is a boat docked at a marina, you will have it for yourself. Fully functional with a kitchen, living space area and 2 bedrooms, one in the front and another one the back. There is one shower bathroom and 2 toilets, but you can also use the ones (more spacious) in the marina provided as a courtesy. A small deck outside to chill also.

Do not expect a yacht experience, it is an old cozy chalet-boat close to all festivities of the city you can enjoy walking too. Feel free to ask anything as this is a new listing so we would enrich more info with time and comments from guests.

Of course, make sure not to miss out on for the international fireworks,
you'll be able to enjoy them FREE from where you are :)

Other things to note
Access can be difficult the first time because of the location, I will provide you with the info before checking depending if you are coming with car, uber or through public transport.

Also free parking access is between 17h and 8hAM because the paying gates are closed, so i can land you my parking pass to get in. If you leave your car inside after 8hAM, it is also free but if you go out after 8h and try to get in before 17h, the gates are open and they will charge you from $25/$50 depending on the time. So the best thing is to take bicycles/walks/public transport on the island instead of the car between open gates hours.

You can also book a captain tour with the boat around the city, from 3h to 8h ($125/hour gaz included), where he/she (we have 2 captains :)) will take you to nice spots to view the city from different angles and to national parks where you can do paddle board and sun bathing. We also have friends that rents Jet-skis if interested.

We can also provide you with 2 bicycles (@$15/day), much easier, faster and cheaper to move around the city.
