It was apparent that the owners put real thought into the design and functionality of the home. I brought my fur baby and she enjoyed the balcony upstairs! In the unlikely event that the road is impassable, we'll honor a partial or full refund depending on the circumstances.

- "My family and i really enjoyed the property, nice size and very clean rooms, 3 bathrooms, great views, nice size deck and good size property, the only problem is getting up the hill because the roads are not paved, didn't have an iron and ironing board and when we first got there could not find the location, but when we called John Favarro he was extremely helpful in helping us find the place which we were very grateful, we would definitely go back to that location again because of the great views and property and the host was easy to communicate with"

- "This place has just about everything. Located on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, it is in a peaceful area near town, but not too near. The house is in good condition, but could use a little touch up here and there. All appliances were in good working order and the kitchen had many pots, pans and utensils. The bathrooms were all in good condition. One thing to note is that the area has soft water. We were lucky enough to meet the owner as we checked in. He is a really nice guy and gave us some tips about fishing spots on the river. I would happily stay here again."

Warm, welcoming house nestled in the sweet small town of Edinburg in the Shenandoah Valley with a large social front porch and big bright kitchen great for family and friends to enjoy each other and nearby activities...hiking, fishing, wineries, ski resorts and other small towns to explore in the area. Crisp, clean, sweet community space a short 10 min walk away in Edinburg Park.
- "Our Sweet Shenandoah stay was so pleasant that we hope to have the opportunity to return in the future. It was clean, the beds and living room furniture were comfy, the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with all the necessities, and the accessories and decorations were so sweet and authentic to the age of the house in communal rooms. In other words, we appreciated the antique furnishings scattered throughout. The location of the 100+ year old house was perfect for our 50th anniversary return to the Shenandoah Valley, our walks around Edinburg to see the historic homes, our tour of Luray Caverns, hikes in local parks, and many wonderful restaurants. Thanks, Sara and Mike, for another great VRBO experience!"

- "Our stay at this farmhouse was near ideal. The house is gorgeously renovated, was spotlessly clean, and everything works smoothly and simply. All the rooms are even larger and more spacious than it seems in the pictures. We had 3 adults and 4 kids, and there was plenty of room for everyone to be together or separate, inside and outside. We spent a lot of time in the gorgeous sunroom with its views in the chilly spring mornings, and then lots of time enjoying the sunny outdoor porch, patio, and lawn around the property. The views were gorgeous, as was driving around the surrounding farmlands. We hiked in the nearby George Washington National Forest (15 min drive), spent a day at Shenandoah National Park (1 hr drive), and a day at Luray Caverns (35 min drive). All big hits with the whole family. Jenn, the owner, was incredibly kind, hospitable, and communicative, and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect - even going way above and beyond to get in on helping us execute our idea of a special April Fool's Day prank for our kids on our arrival day ;) She was so fun and kind, and made us feel right at home in her lovely farmhouse. If we are in the area, we would definitely stay again. Thanks so much for an amazing and memorable spring break!"

We do not provide pellets for the pellet fireplace so if you would like to utilize that, please let us know and we can provide pellets at an additional cost.
- "Spent three wonderful days, beautiful setting right on the Big Stoney Creek. The home was very clean, well stocked, the manager responded quickly to e-mails and checking in went smoothly. There is a nice sized deck and patio overlooking the creek. If you are an avid trout fisherman you couldn’t ask for a more ideal location. This home is located on the stocked portion of the creek and if you want to fish for native brook trout you can drive a few miles up the mountains and fish the Little Stoney Creek. I plan to return later this year."

Donna was very helpful with any questions we had." - "This place is well located for visiting attractions in the area. It is located close to Interstate 81 but far enough away to be in a very quiet area. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It has a large yard for walking your dog on a lease because it is on a main road. The road directly across winds along the river and is a nice walk. Crash course on the Shenandoah Valley-- The Shenandoah Valley can be a little confusing for people who aren’t from the area. The “Valley” runs north and south through Virginia and Panhandle of West Virginia with Interstate 81 starting just in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and continues south until you reach Lexington, Virginia. There is a town called "Shenandoah" and there is also "Shenandoah County" however, the town of "Shenandoah" is not in "Shenandoah County". One big attraction in the area is the "Shenandoah Caverns" which is located in "Shenandoah County", not the town. Confusing right? The "Shenandoah River" runs through most of the Shenandoah Valley which encompasses 8 counties in total, 2 of which are in West Virginia. There is a North Fork and South Fork of the "Shenandoah River". The Shenandoah Valley brings millions of tourists a year for many varied reasons, including the Shenandoah National Park. The park itself borders mostly the eastern portion of the Shenandoah Valley. Our location is in the Shenandoah Valley and we are located approximately 45 mins from the "Shenandoah National Park/ Skyland Drive" ENTRY GATE. Now that you understand our location within the Valley.
"Shenandoah County" is home to 178 miles of trails through the George Washington National Forest with spectacular views of the valley below, lush forests, the Shenandoah River, streams and wildlife.
- "Perfect property for our stay. We were 3 couples staying together for a friend's celebration of life. Great location, very clean, had everything we needed plus more. The hot tub and firepit were set up and ready to go and perfect for relaxing. Any kitchen tool you could ever need was supplied, along with coffee, cooking, spices, and popcorn maker with popcorn. There were tons of towels supplied and the laundry is on the second floor with the bedrooms, detergent supplied. Lots of space to spread out, games, and lots of local information was very helpful. The owners have thoughtfully set up this house and it shows. All 6 of us would 100% recommend a stay here."

We would love to come back again next year!" - "Loved staying there, beautiful location, Edinburgh, Maryland. We booked it again for a later date." - "historical home was charming and well-maintained, but had issues with parking- if you park by the garage it’s a bit far and the road isn’t well marked for parking. Issues with the electricity, it kept going out and my final day I was without electricity for a full 24 hours, thank goodness the owner had a flashlight because of no electricity it did make the checkout difficult. Despite those drawbacks, I did find my stay enjoyable."

Cozy cottage set on a private lane inside of 500 acre farm in quaint Edinburg, VA. Newly-renovated, this 1835 cottage was once the summer kitchen of the farmhouse on the property, and has been gracefully updated to highlight its period details as well as to add modern conveniences. Large patio within old barn walls.
The area is a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends exploring the outdoors (fishing/hiking/kayaking), wineries, breweries and restaurants.

- "The house and property were wonderful, with everything we could possibly need. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time. The house looks small on the outside but was quite roomy inside. We would definitely stay here again." - "This was a great little house smack dab in the middle of a huge farm property (be cautious of the cow grates crossing the farm roads if you're walking your dogs and they've never experienced them before). We had a relaxing stay and everything we needed to enjoy our time there was provided. Be aware that this cabin used to be the summer kitchen for the main farm house and they're only 30ft or so away from each other. The main farm house was rented as well so we had to share the house property with strangers. Also in the house rules pamphlet (it doesn't mention this in the rental ad when you're booking) there's a warning about the sensitivity of the septic system which the host makes your responsibility to pay for repair if it gets messed up while you're there. There's also some "no party" rules that were just fine by us but then the security cameras are pointed at the fire pit and yard so it makes you feel as if you're being observed while using outdoor spaces. Nice stay otherwise"

The sun porch on the second floor was our favorite spot and we really loved the record player. The kitchen has everything you could ever want and I could really picture cooking a big holiday meal here." - "Great property in a quiet but convenient location. Not far off the interstate with minimal neighbors nearby. The house itself was very clean, well-decorated, and felt cozy throughout.
