- "I booked a Deluxe apartment. I didnt realise it would be seperate to the hotel. We were disappointed with the bathroom as we were expecting a bit of luxury at the price per night. Instead we had bathroom suitable for disabled access. One of the reclining chairs had bare wires hanging out. There were 3 of us but only towels for 2 people. The sofa bed had not been made up but when we reported this to reception someone did come and make it up. On booking it said robes were provided, no robes on arrival but reception did organise this later, although we didnt get additional towels for third person. Because the sofa bed wasnt made up the lady on reception did offer to move us into the bothy which i viewed, but i declined as i thought it was very dark "

- "We had a fantastic stay at Eight Acres Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room had been recently refurbished, and it was fresh and comfortable with modern touches like faux leather headboards a mirror frame. There were plenty of sockets, which was really convenient for charging devices, although none had USB ports, so remember your plugs. We also enjoyed the tea, coffee, and hot chocolate facilities and especially the shortbread biscuits. The shower was powerful and hot, perfect for a refreshing start to the day. Breakfast was another highlight, with a delicious full Scottish breakfast featuring black pudding and tattie scone. There is currently no catering facilities, (or pool/gym/spa), at the hotel other than breakfast, but there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel and it took us 5 mins into the centre of Elgin. We didn’t want to drive as we wanted a drink with our meal. Overall, our experience was great. With good hospitality, comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast."

- "First time staying here and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spacious and airy , bed very comfortable. Welcome pack was good. Shower was great and bathroom was immaculate. My only suggestion was to add a handrail inside the shower and maybe a small corner shelf for shampoo, conditioner , shower gel it’s much better for someone disabled. Breakfast is a 10/10 cooked well and tasted amazing full cooked breakfast. It’s actually situated perfectly to travel and see other places from. Parking was free and good. It’s very handy for the train station and the retail park for shopping. We are definitely going back again and we can bring our dog which is an extra bonus for us. I don’t drink but my husband does and felt that the bar would be better with tap beers. "
