Being a non chain the room's are stylish and characterful at the same time. I had an old fire place in my room! Nespresso coffee machine! Excellent shower, very powerful, could have stayed in there for hours. A minor negative, no onsite parking, however a few council car parks within a 5min walk and hotel can issue free parking. If you have a lot of luggage you could drive to front of hotel, off load and then park up I guess. A slightly bigger negative, the bar and restaurant closed at 5pm (a little strange for a hotel), but Louth has loads of great bars and restaurants so enjoyed a stroll around in the evening. Also breakfast doesn't start till 8, so not great if you need to be gone prior to. 7 would be a better time to start. Still wouldn't put me off staying again!"

Swallow cottage is our one bed cottage. It has good size lounge with cuddle sofa two chairs and new laminate flooring. There is a 50" LCD smart TV with DVD player. The bedroom is also a good size with a king size bed with pine bedside tables and small TV on the dressing table. Duvet covers and towels are included in the price.
The kitchen is a dining kitchen. It has a oven and hob with extractor hood, fridge and microwave. It is well equipped with a good selection of utensils. The bathroom has recently been refitted with new white bath with shower over, toilet and basin, also chrome fitments, mirror and shaving point.

Swallow cottage is ideal for relaxing or taking gentle strolls around our village. We are ideally located for visiting the coast or the deserted Wolds. The local market town of Louth has interesting shops and church. Being in a rural location there is plenty of wild life to see and we are often visited by a barn owl either early in the morning or late afternoon.

Tawny Owl has a King size bed. There is a 28" LCD TV. On clear nights you can see the stars through the Velux windows. The ceiling is high pitched with antique effect beams. A lovely cottage, just a 10-minute walk into the centre of the Wolds Georgian market town of Louth, well known for its many good restaurants and bars as well as its traditional three markets a week. Just 150 yards walk away is the Hubbards Hills where you can enjoy a walk alongside the river through the park and onto Westgate Fields which brings you into Louth towards the magnificent church and town centre.

The east coast with its sandy beaches and traditional seaside resorts such as Skegness and Mablethorpe is only 30 minutes’ drive or head into Lincoln approximately 35 minutes away for a great day out exploring the cathedral, castle and even have lunch alongside the Brayford marina as you watch the boats cruise by.

Motorsport enthusiasts will enjoy nearby Cadwell Park race circuit which has events and track days most weekends. For those that love to explore on foot or by bike there are popular cycle routes out into the Wolds or lovely walks straight from the door. The village is only 8 miles from the Georgian town of Louth which still boasts three markets a week, with the very impressive St James Church, Hubbards Hills picnic area and beauty spot, as well as a cinema, leisure centre and many excellent restaurants and pubs. Mablethorpe, 11 miles, is only a short drive away and has sandy beaches along with all your normal seaside attractions including a fun fair and amusements. Grimsby has a Fishing Heritage Centre, as well as very good shopping facilities.

Great for Photograpers...Donna Nook Seal Sanctuary is within 2 miles and from late October to late December seals congregate to have their pups here (2025 pups in 2023). Seals are very close to the public viewing areas, making Donna Nook one of the most accessible sites for seeing seals breeding in the UK. It attracts 40,000 visitors a year. Good walks and cycle routes are straight from the door with fishing and golf courses all within a short drive.

Horse riding is available nearby and the surrounding areas offer lessons, trekking and livery.
