This is a quiet neighborhood surrounded by rural properties, operating farms and orchards. The house has 3 levels with the main living area on the 2nd floor. This is a great space for a relaxing getaway; an artists retreat or for a group of skiers, riders or hikers. Come back after a day of outdoor adventure to warm radiant heat under elm and tiled floors. Or cool off in the summer with air conditioning and fresh night air. Several architectural details created from local hardwoods. The 2nd level has a large private deck facing west for evening sunsets, bbq grilling and star gazing. This level includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area; one queen bedroom and a large bathroom/laundry. The shower is floor to ceiling travertine with built in bench. The upper loft is two spaces separated by a curved balcony. One end is for reading - with a work desk, monitor and printer. The other loft space has two full size beds tucked out of the way. Please note the steps to the loft are steep and not recommended for everyone. The first level entry has large built in cubbies and storage spaces for ski gear and backpacks. There's a private, queen sized bedroom plus it's own bathroom with walk in tiled shower. This is a great house to relax, read, write, paint or create. It's also a great jumping off place for a huge variety of activities.

The living room, dining and kitchen is open with a separate office/den tucked away to the side--all with a mountain views. 2 bedrooms are off of a generous hallway with a linen closet. Both bedrooms have large closets and bureaus--great lighting. Master bedroom has luxurious king bed where you can view the mountains from bed and a private bathroom with large Kohler "tea for two" tub and a separate large walk-in shower. Very robust WIFI and Sonos system throughout entire house. I care about tending to all details in supporting a fabulous stay! The space
The home has a FULLY EQUIPPED CHEF’S KITCHEN which perfectly blends the old-world charm of exposed brick and beams with modern luxuries. All stainless appliances, gas stove, and eat-in kitchen island make this light-filled space a joy to cook and dine in. Adjoining dining space offers handmade custom dining table and views to the side and backyard that bring the outside in. A side porch off the dining area, furnished with Adirondack chairs, is a lovely place to enjoy a drink or a good book. Main living space includes a 65” TV with surround sound, and should you need to sneak in some work there is a great desk nook. If coming with family or friends, we also have a collection of great board games as well as jigsaw puzzles. The first level also includes a convenient half bath and full laundry facilities.

The second floor offers three bedrooms and a full bath. Each room features comfy beds with luxurious linens. The largest bedroom has large windows across the back wall with gorgeous views of the backyard and aspen grove. During the winter months, you can see the Green Mountains.

A private driveway allows for two-car parking. There is plenty of additional free parking on the street in front of the house. If you are visiting the College, you don’t need to worry about finding parking on campus. Property includes gigabit high speed internet and air-conditioning for summer days.

One of the older homes on South Street, the original structure dates to at least the mid-1800s—there are few records that go back further. The house was built to its current footprint in 1915.

Stay at our farmhouse and enjoy the best of both worlds – pastoral Vermont and everything Middlebury has to offer! The house is situated on Weybridge's scenic Sheep Farm Road and conveniently located just over a mile from downtown Middlebury and Middlebury College. It's the perfect landing spot for Middlebury College parents, people visiting family & friends in the area, and those adventuring in central Vermont.

The first floor has a mudroom, an open concept kitchen-dining-living area with a TV, two bedrooms (one queen bed, one full bed), and a full bath with a laundry closet. The second floor has a large bedroom (queen bed) and a sitting area with a desk and lounge chair. There's a large deck off the back for watching sunsets, a small deck off the living room, a large yard with a firepit area, and driveway for three vehicles.

This property served as the modest farmhouse on a dairy farm in the 1800s and 1900s. The original part of the farmhouse was built in 1850 and added onto over time. We purchased the property from a neighbor and renovated the farmhouse in 2022. We lived in the home with our family of four until March 2025. Now we live next door :-)

Other things to note:
While the farmhouse has been thoroughly updated, some of its "bones" reflect its roots from the 1850s. Please be aware of the following:
- The 2nd floor has a lower ceiling height (~6'6" in the center and then dropping under the eaves).
- The entrance to the stairs has a low ceiling height (~5'10" above the first steps and then it opens up).
- There is a small step at the entrance to the bathroom.

The house across the street is currently being restored. This does not have much impact on our property, but there are contractors on site most weekdays.

The location:
Sheep Farm Rd has so much to offer! It's literally just minutes from Middlebury, but has all the charm and beauty of being in rural Vermont. Many college students and area residents come to Sheep Farm Rd to walk, run, and bike – enjoying the quiet of Weybridge, taking in views of the Green Mountains, and taking advantage of the proximity to town.
Our road also backs up to a portion of the Trail Around Middlebury (AKA the "TAM"), which is a trail maintained by the Middlebury Area Land Trust (MALT). The trail directly behind Sheep Farm Rd follows a creek through a wooded area. On north end, it connects to another portion of the trail that leads you through fields, around a pond, and into another set of woods in Weybridge. On the south end, it connects to a wooded area, followed by fields that lead you to Middlebury College's beloved Knoll gardens.
Believe it or not, we also have a sheep farm on Sheep Farm Rd! The Duclos Thompson Farm has self-serve honor store on the premises of the sheep farm, where folks can purchase local meat and eggs from the farm at their convenience.

A gorgeous retreat on 18 acres, this spacious home includes a master bedroom on the 1st floor, a queen guest suite on the lower level, 2 twin bedrooms upstairs plus a sweet sleepover space with two twin XL built in beds (note this is listed as 4th bedroom but is in an open space (no bedroom door). Open concept living/dining/kitchen on 1st floor and additional sitting room and bedroom (queen) on lower level. Full bathrooms on each floor means there is space and privacy for everyone. A additional single cot, and double blow up mattress means you can sleep up to 11 people comfortably in separate spaces (12 in a pinch).. Great for entertaining. Lovely farm road for morning walks and runs, walking distance to Sunrise Orchards. Wifi and everything you need for a special weekend.

We don't charge a cleaning fee but ask guests to leave the kitchen tidy, re-make beds with linens provided and leave soiled towels and linens in the laundry room upon check out.
