private, free standing cottage with own bath and kitchen on small family farm in rolling hills of Sebastopol. This cottage was featured on FYI Newtwork's "Tiny House Hunters" and "Tiny House Nation" tv shows. The cottage has its own yard and garden. It overlooks some farm animals and a eucalyptus grove. You will see our mini-horse, chickens and maybe our sheep meander by on the other side of the fence. The cottage is fully insulated for even temperature. It is bright, private, modern-rustic with open beam ceilings and a Vermont Castings gas vented fireplace. A flick of the switch and 'voila' a beautiful, warm fire in the hearth. The bathroom has a glass shower, no tub. There is a queen-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress imaginable. While the cottage is most suitable for two, there is also an organic cotton and wool coil full-size futon sofa that sleeps two. The cabin is easily accessible from parking area.
You can really cook there. There is a two burner stove, a large microwave, toaster oven, coffee and tea maker, and lots of pots and pans, etc. We are happy to share our farm fresh eggs, and whatever else may be in season on the farm. We try to leave it stocked with coffee, tea, condiments, honey, etc. The guests have exclusive use of the adjacent yard. There is a small garden there where guests can help themselves to strawberries, greens for a salad, fresh herbs or whatever is in season.
The farm is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, Christmas tree farms and now vineyards. It is in the Russian River Appellation of wine country, known for chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown Sebastopol is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches and cliffs of Bodega Bay. There is such a variety of things to do in our area. Sebastopol is famous for its award winning wineries, restaurants and antique shops. It also has an artsy-bohemian feel, and many residents and restaurants are dedicated to the slow food movement. There is also great swimming, kayaking, canoeing and picnicking at the Russian River. You can hike through the Redwoods at Armstrong Woods. We can fill you in on our favorite spots and activities.

We use medical grade disinfectants, and always have. The bed and bedding is scrumptious, Guests have said it's a "sleep magnet". We do not use toxic air fresheners, cleaning products, fabric softeners or scented detergents. There is heat and air conditioning, a full kitchen, strong wifi, SMART T.V. and a docking station for music. French doors open to a private patio covered by an arbor of grape vines.
The Guest House is downtown, yet located on a quiet country road which is walking distance to the Barlow, Zagat rated restaurants, The farmers market, breweries, tasting rooms, galleries and boutiques. Gorgeous wineries are within a 10 minute drive. We are fluent in Sonoma county. The cozy, wood-shingled studio, surrounded by wisteria, apple trees, and flowers on the two-acre property is your home away from home. It is attached to our larger, country home where we live right next door, but you are completely private with your own separate entrance. Your studio and our house are separated by an 8 foot utility/laundry area. We are right here if you need anything, but we completely respect your privacy and desire for peace and quiet.

There is a small garden patio for your personal use where you can sip coffee in the morning or enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring hidden wineries. On sunny days, curled up in a comfy armchair with a book, you can bask in sunlight pouring through the expanse of southern exposure windows; on rainy winter days you can watch the row of poplars dance in the wind.

We’ve made the spacious living room both comfortable and beautiful, adding a few country antiques from my beloved Midwest family home. The centerpiece of the room though is a stunning, antique Japanese screen that creates your private bedroom. There you can luxuriate in the queen bed with high thread count sheets and piles of fluffy pillows. The sounds you may hear are reminders of simple, country life: the screech of a barn owl out for a night hunt, coyotes on a far away ridge yipping at the full moon, or perhaps the distant crow of a rooster. We also have Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a DVD player for those wanting to be more connected.

There is a fully equipped kitchenette with refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, and a state of the art induction hot plate.

The newly built heated pool includes a 6 foot baja shelf and in-pool loungers. The pool has a retractable automatic pool cover that helps with safety and heat retention, especially overnight. The solar heating set temperature can be adjusted using a remote, however the ultimate temperature depends on the amount of sunlight during a particular day.

The main driveway has a Tesla charger with EV attachments to charge your EV. The garage can be used to store items and access the courtyard. The outdoor courtyard features lounge seating, a fire pit, and a BBQ.

Pippa's Place has one of the best locations in town. Less than a block walk to Hopmonk to enjoy the beer garden and live music / shows. The Joe Rodota Trail offers a scenic path for a morning walk or bike excursion to Russian River AVA wineries.
