We have nice clean cabins on the lake sakatah in Waterville mn at Oak hollow resort. small old fashion resort next to the state park and the sakatah bike trail. surrounded by large oak trees. We are at a dead end street but only a few blocks from the convenience store and liquor store and meat market. there are docks right below the cabins. just a few steps and your on the docks ready to sit down and enjoy the water. if your looking for a fast getaway or a romantic Ching. many people just sit outside and read a book. our cabins have covered porches or patio in case of rain .

- "Of the 10(?) properties we've rented annually, this was the best in meeting our needs. Why? Some reasons: Cottage: it met our needs very well - 4 families - 8 adults - 6 children. Lake - Beach: clean - even in mid August, good depth for kids to play - jump off dock, no weeds, sandy. A few respectable small mouth bass were caught and released from kayak. Pontoon: Rental from separate business available - reasonable rates. Restaurants - Bars: Several within 1 mile and more within 10 miles Golf: Nice course at Janesville - 10 minutes. Hosts: Joe was very accommodating throughout the entire process. Bike Trail - Playground - Etc: Good options within a mile. Area: Seemed like it was central/western MN or WI - but much closer - for us. Rates: Rates were reasonable. Private: It felt like we were alone on the property. Interacted with owners only a few times - no problem. Overall: Rent it again? Definitely."

We just completed our two fish cleaning sheds one for Log Inn and the other for Artists & Anglers (VRBO #9264248 two parcels over -sleeps ten- has bridges to walk to each house and shares two docks- owner lives between houses, Great for all those extra family members and friends that want to join you! ) Both have running water and electricity for charging equipment (bring your own chargers), also a table for cleaning your "big" catch! In addition each unit has drying racks for life jackets, area for tackle boxes and small motors. Just bring your own padlock for security if you like.

No need to worry about firewood as we will have available near your fire pit under the tarp. We have corn hole, horseshoes, bocce, volleyball, lawn darts, ladder toss for outdoor games.

Our Kitchen is well supplied: We have service for 40! Dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, coffee mugs, and for the young at heart - plastic cups, bowls, trays etc! Utensils, steak knives, Cuisinart Advantage 12 piece knife set. BBQ utensils, numerous cooking and serving utensils, wine & can opener, blender, hand mixer and much more!

HOME OF THE GRAND MADISON LAKE PADDLE FISH
State of Minnesota issued a seizure permit #202888 for us to be able to keep the skull and a replica of the fish. This skeleton of a paddle fish washed up on Madison Lake beach in 1989. From this skeleton the folks at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and the Missouri Game and Fish department provided their best estimate of weight over 100 lbs, length 68 inches, and age approximately 35 years old. Paddle fish are plankton eaters with no teeth and are harmless to humans and illegal to catch in Minnesota.

Lots of off street parking for all your water toys! 150 lineal feet of sandy beach with over hanging willow trees to hold the pan fish close for shore fishing. We are in the process of building a sand box for when the water levels are high and our beach is under water. Our fish cleaning shed with screens, light, and water as well as a space to keep your gear locked up over night (bring your own padlock) is now finished! We have two boating docks available! The boat ramp is a short drive around the bay to the south. For our fellow artists we have set up a bright classroom area facing Madison Lake. It has 12 desks with easels and brush holders, drawing boards, and a grand instructors oak easel, storage cabinet, extra folding chairs and stools all looking toward the lake. Ideal for sleepovers or just an evening of wine and cheese paint parties! Great as an extra option for more sleeping space when renting our Log Inn #HA9246925 two parcels away which sleeps 24 and has plenty of extra social spaces! Scrapbookers welcomed!

It reaches 36 feet tall to the top of the beamed cathedral ceilings. The other side of the great room boasts a wall of windows facing beautiful Lake Francis. Spectacular views can be seen from them! This room has a 32 inch flat screen TV with surround sound. Also a closet full of board games. One of the porches holds a full size shuffle board game. The man cave has a flat screen curve TV for your viewing pleasure and a large U shaped couch. The downstairs master bedroom has a queen hand carved bear bed with it's own private half bath and a 42 inch flat screen TV. Across the hall is a very large master bath with double sinks and a triangular corner tub. The dining room contains a beautiful oak pool table and a touch screen game. The very large modern kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a double oven, microwave, refrigerator, dish washer, and built in stove. Available in the pantry are many small appliances including a mixer, air fryer, crock pots, George Foreman, blender, air popper, Pizza Pizzazz, Mr Coffee, deep fryer, ice cream maker and more. The center of the kitchen is a large granite island with 10 bar stools surrounding it. The main floor laundry is complete with washer, dyer, iron, and iron board. There is an extra full size refrigerator and freezer in the hall way leading to the basement. The beautiful finished basement holds a variety of surprises. The granite bar seats 8. It has a sink, refrigerator, 52 inch flat screen TV, and microwave. The room has air hockey and foosball. In the hall way sits a variety of kids things such as a high chair, swings, jumpers, walker, booster seat, strollers, and riding toys. The basement play room has so many toys they can't all be listed. There is a stage for the band instruments, a stage for modeling the wide selection of stylish dresses and jewelry, Tommy the Train, a Lego block table, a fully equipped desk, and a play house with shopping area, work bench, equipped kitchen, and a loft with slide. The next room in the basement is a special treat for the children. Its a ball room with tunnels, jumping trampolines, basketball hoop and many many brightly colored balls. The next room in the basement is for the adults. It's a complete exercise workout room. It includes a treadmill, work out bench, crunch chair, elliptical, and free weights. This room also has a queen size murphy bed and doubles as another legal bedroom. The basement also has one of the 7 bathrooms. Going up the open wood staircase to the upper level the first room you reach is the master bedroom with a king size Cleopatra style bed. The balcony has spectacular views of the yard and Lake Francis. The attaching full master bath has double sinks, a makeup settee and a large Jacuzzi tub. Down the hall from there is the blue room which has a wood carved king bed with an attaching full bath and it's own balcony. Just further down the hall way is a another up north themed king bedroom with another breath taking view of Lake Francis off it's balcony and an attaching full bathroom. Next to that bedroom is a smaller bedroom with a queen bed. A whole new world is at the end of the hall in the west wing. A second living room or great room with three bedrooms adjoining it. One is a king with bunk beds.. The second is a queen . The third is a king bed. The cabana or guest house is a full cabin with a kitchen, full bath, and bedroom with a double bottom bunk and a top single bunk. The yard is a wonderful game place. Available games are Bean Bags(Corn Hole), Polish Golf, Hammer Schlogan, Crockett, Boccie Ball and Ring Toss. Near by snowmobile trails make this a winter haven. Ice fishing is fantastic on Lake Francis! There are many winter activities around the area such as Ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating, cross country skiing and sledding. Down hill skiing is 20 miles away at Mount Kato. During the summer the lake offers fishing, skiing, tubing, boating, swimming and much more. The state bicycle trail goes right through town and two adult bikes and four children's are furnished. There is a canoe and 2 kayaks available for use. Remember to wear your life jackets. A playground owned by the lake association is next door. Relax on one of the 4 decks. Grill on the gas or charcoal smoker grill. Fry up your fresh fish in the outdoor or indoor deep fryers. Have a campfire and roast some marshmallows at the fire pit. Wood is provided. Relax in the screen porch and enjoy the propane fire pit. The small town of Elysian is one mile away. It boast of 5 bars and 3 restaurants. There are two gas stations with mini marts also in town. There is a 8-12 person 24 foot Crest pontoon with a 90 horse Evinrude available for an additional $850. It includes a full tank of gas, life jackets, and lake floaties.

- "I was disappointed in the beach area for the little ones. We just set up some water toys in the huge back yard and they had a great time. We will definitely be back." - "This place worked perfectly for our family getaway for large group size. It had separate living areas so the kids could do their things like play video games. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with a variety of kitchen appliances and items to feed the large group." - "The house and property were fabulous. Twelve people and everyone left after a week so happy. We had beautiful weather so we were able to use the pontoon boat every day, rented jet skis one day, fished off the dock, played the many indoor and outdoor games. There was no need to leave the property except maybe groceries. Would highly recommend and Lisa is very helpful if you have problems or questions."

We have a huge yard to enjoy along with a wide assortment of outdoor games (XXL connect 4, Bocce ball, Corn Hole, Lawn Darts, Volleyball, Badminton, and much more!) a beautiful pond in the back also filled with beautiful wildlife! There is a road to cross over to the lakeshore area as you can see in our photos, but rest assured, it is an all way stop T in the road. Madison Lake is a lake that is defiantly perfect for all fishing for Walleye, Bass, Sunfish, Northern, Crappies and recreation of all types (great bays for water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing and all other water sports) on the lake in the summer and ice fishing in the winter, or simply enjoy the views from the wrap around deck, gather around a campfire (there is a second fire pit in the back yard of the house as well!) and make a few s'mores, play bean bags or other yard games in the huge yard, take out the kayaks, swim in the lake and fish off the dock!

The View is large enough to bring your extended family and more.
Our home sleeps 12 (a playpen and highchair are also available for little ones) and can even add a few more if needed, just need to ask first! Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your time together with ample space for alone time as well. If weather isn't perfect, enjoy the awesome open game room downstairs with board games, Wii, huge screen tv complete with surround system, dart board and awesome air hockey! Located less than a block to North shore park, plus 3 other fun parks, just blocks from the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail which offers 39 miles of paved trail if you prefer to bike, hike or snowmobile in the winter!

The lakeside cabin, affectionately called the "Nut House", features three bedrooms, a full bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. With three queen-sized beds, the Nut House comfortably sleeps six.

The cabin offers central air conditioning, washer and dryer and wireless internet.

The beach area is clean and weed free, offering a great swimming area that is clearly visible from the deck area. There is also a lakeside fire pit and hammock.

The city of Elysian is just blocks away and offers a convenience store, several restaurant and bar options, and easy access to the Sakataw Singing Hills bike and snowmobile trail.

Pets welcome, but limited to one dog under 40lbs.

Beautiful large 6 bedroom corner home with Lake Tetonka access capable of sleeping up to18. The public beach is a 200 yard walk over a wooden bridge that crosses the beginnings of the Cannon River. Close to downtown and to Sakatah State Trail for biking and hiking. Many lakes close by for fishing and boating. Small hometown feel. Also close to largest waterpark in southern Minnesota less than 1 mile away at Kamp Dels. There is a dock, lakeside fire pit, and 6 kayaks available. We also have a 660 square foot game room above the garage complete with sofa bed, love seat, billiard table, card tables, air hockey, and a 1952 wood rail pinball machine. Bring your fishing gear, swim suits, pool cues, and life jackets and enjoy!

- "We had a great time at this home. We drove to a river to float down on tubes which lasted 5 hours. Beautiful day. Sunday a rainy day and played games and had a blast. The home easily accommodated 6 adults using 4 rooms with room to spare. The jacuzzi tub was a lovely benefit. Kitchen if fully stocked for dishes and needed items. The lake was green but that is common for smaller lakes when it’s a hot summer. We wanted to kayak but ran out of Sunny time. The Mexican restaurant in Waterville was delicious! The local bar food was equally original and good. It was perfect for what we wanted. Thank you!"

Although West Jefferson Lake is not accessible via boat from Middle Jefferson, the public launch is located less than 1 mile from our home. The Jefferson chain of lake is very popular for recreational activities such as ice fishing (winter), swimming, fishing, tubing, water skiing, jet skiing, etc. Please note that our watercraft is not included with your stay, and please bring your own life jackets if needed.

Our goal for our guests to enjoy the outdoors on one of the cleanest and most pleasant lakes in Southern MN. The location of the lake home gives guests the opportunity to enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, biking, and memory making!!

About one hour south of Minneapolis/St. Paul and 15 minutes from Mankato, this lake house has the charm of original woodwork and amenities for families, couples, wedding weekends, or retreats.

This house features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is parking for up to three vehicles and there's tons of room for kids to run around and play. NO ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE and Included in your stay is use of lily pad, pedal boat, bean floats, loungers, kayaks, and other floats. We will not rent out our pontoon, but feel free to bring your own boat! The property has two docks for guests to use. There's two landings on the lake to launch a boat.

At this property, you have the opportunity for great swimming, fishing, and bike/snowmobile riding. The Sakatah state trail and the City of Elysian is only a stone's throw away from the cabin. It's also home to some of the best summer sunsets on the West Bay!

- "We enjoyed our family time celebrating summer, birthday and an upcoming retirement! The large yard was perfect for all the littles to run with no bugs or mosquitoes to ruin the fun. The spacious house had all the amenities we needed plus games and some water toys. Unfortunately the algae on the water came in and was a bummer for swimming or dangling feet off the dock. We still watched the geese and boaters and had a bonfire several nights. Rented a pontoon for a day from a nearby marina and did get out on it to enjoy the beautiful lake. We all throughly enjoyed the lake home!"

- "First I am normally not a complainer. I have also stayed in many VRBOs. All very positive experiences.I was expecting rustic because this place looked dated. However upon arrival there is an odor in the home that could not clearly be explained. We bought candles to help with the smell. It is supposed to be supplied with enough towels and wash clothes for 13 guests. It is not. They are working on flooring up stairs so one room was subfloor. Not completed. The bedroom closets were filled with everything from flip flops to who knows what. When we went to go to bed the sheets were not clean! This property is NOT rental ready! If there was a way to attach photos I would. VRBO should have guidelines for owners so they can be consistent."
