Welcome to Maremar, our luxury Costa Brava rental in Sant Feliu de Guixols with stunning sea views - only five minutes by car (15 minutes on foot) to the beach, water sports, shops, bars and restaurants.

Imagine having 200 square metres of light and airy space for your family holiday, with two living rooms, one of which can be used as an extra bedroom with a proper, luxury bed (hidden in a wall space if not used)!

Imagine having your own gardens on two levels overlooking the sea and the coastline, with six sun loungers available for your use.

Imagine having the use of an oversized pool in a leafy oasis of calm which does not tend to get crowded (in fact, it is frequently absolutely empty) and in which you can have a proper swim, rather than just a splash about.

This is what you will find at Maremar.

At Maremar we have the best of all worlds - luxury, space, modernity, comfort, relative peace, enormous pool… but with easy access to the shops, the beachs and the rest of the Costa Brava, including the three major Salvador Dali buildings - his house, Gala's 'castle' and the Dali Museum itself.

Our beautiful, very spacious, house is set in a discreet development next to beautiful pine woods and directly overlooks the sea.

At 200 square metres of living space, it is one of the largest houses in the development, with living accommodation arranged over three storeys, and is of a high quality specification and design. It accommodates up to eight people very comfortably indeed with four bedrooms available. However, we limit occupancy to six deliberately as we want to keep Maremar comfortable and beautiful for guests. No sofa beds in the living room!

You will also be thirty seconds from the enormous swimming pool, set in landscaped gardens, with all its delights. We have never known it to be crowded and many guests comment that they have had it entirely to themselves...

The house boasts a very spacious living room with two three-seater sofas, dining area and full width glass doors leading out onto the large terrace and private gardens with their fabulous views along the coast of the Mediterranean and out to sea.

There are dining tables accommodating six people comfortably both inside and out, although, in the spring, summer and autumn (and quite a lot of winter) you will doubtless want to spend most of your time outside.

The American kitchen is modern and well equipped. It is especially good for convivial gatherings as the cook is not excluded from what is going on in the living room and beyond. We love to cook and have equipped the kitchen accordingly.

We have three double bedrooms...

The master bedroom is very large (the full width of the front of the house), with balconies overlooking the sea, the front gardens and the pine woods, and a luxurious en-suite bathroom in travertine and marble.

The second, to the rear of the house, overlooks the landscaped gardens and the woods. It is a "normal" Spanish-sized bedroom with lots of storage.

The optional 'rooftop penthouse'(!) double bedroom up on the second floor is virtually as spacious as the master bedroom and has direct access to the rooftop solarium, also looking out to sea. You can choose whether to use this as a bedroom, as another sitting room or, heaven forbid, an office!

Finally, we have a spacious twin bedroom, overlooking the gardens with two single beds.

This means that the accommodation can easily be configured to the needs of six people. So as to maintain the quality of this property, occupancy is strictly limited to six people.

All bedrooms have deep luxury mattresses, duvets and the quality of linens that we like to use ourselves.

The family bathroom has a bath and shower and there is also a separate downstairs shower room. We believe in 'fluffly' towels and have kitted out the bathrooms accordingly (but please do not use them on the beach!)

As mentioned earlier, on the second floor, there is a private solarium where you can sunbathe in seclusion, looking out to sea from time to time and saying hello to the seagulls as they go by. The solarium is off a large space which can either be configured as the 'penthouse' bedroom or as a large chill out area.

We have equipped the house for our own use. This means that we use high quality fixtures and fittings such as Bosch, Miele, Hansgrohe, Phillipe Starck etc. All rooms have been individually styled with solid oak flooring and high spec tiling etc.

We have two lawned areas, one directly off the terrace and another down some steps, past the ancient olive tree at ground level. So you are spoilt for choice of aspect when it comes to sea and coastal views. At the rear there is a wide gated drive which will take two cars easily. It is flanked by borders containing native flowers, bushes and small trees such as an almond, a fig and a tall cypress (the local symbol of welcome).

The communal pool is about 50 metres from the house and is about 20m long and six to eight metres wide (it is an unusual shape!). It is in lovely landscaped gardens with lawns (for sun bathing after a dip) and conifers.

We have a 'pool box' which contains various pool toys/games which you are welcome to use. If you like to SWIM rather than just splash about in a tiny pool, then this is the place for you! There is also a paddling area to one side of it for tiny tots.

Sant Feliu de Guixols is a mere 5 minute drive away or 15 minute stroll through the woods or along the coast road. In the summer months there is also a tourist 'train' which travels along the coast and up to the house, so you can easily get a lift down to the beach or the shops!

We have had guests who have decided to base themselves completely at the house, sun bathing, swimming and taking the occasional stroll into town, with the most exciting thing they have done being the walk down some pretty precarious steps to the bottom of the cliff and the beautiful cove below.

But if you are more adventurous or energetic there are many more things to do and see than you can cram into two or three weeks. You never have to stop!

We have internet TV plus DVD. And our high speed Wifi access means you can stream whatever entertainment you wish to your own devices. And the Bose stereo system plus books and games available have been all that we have needed for a real chill out.

The place is beautiful off season too, bringing other charms to bear such as the wild sea, the complete peace and the chance to use the fireplace in the living room. Sant Feliu's strapline is 'open all year round' and this is absolutely true with, for example, Carnival taking place in February.

In April you can hunt wild asparagus in the woods and late summer is the time for a wild variety of mushrooms.

We are close to S'Agaro, Platja d'Aro, Santa Cristina d'Aro and is close enough to, but far enough away from the big resorts of Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar.

We love coming to Maremar ourselves. There is really not much more we can say! So if you want a luxury holiday rental in the Costa Brava, look at Maremar!

This spacious design villa was build in 2006 and is in perfect condition. The view is spectacular, 180 degrees view of Sitges and the sea. Every room is the house is looking great, with a lot of attention to detail. The villa has 4 bedrooms, of which 3 bedrooms are overlooking the pool. The 4th bedroom, the master bedroom is on the first floor and also has a great view. All bedrooms have airconditioning, wifi cable, kingsize beds and big build in closets. There are 3 bathrooms of which 2 with bath. There are are several terraces and a lounge area with couches near the infinity pool.The TV room has a big TV, with national and international channels and a Playstation 3. The living room has 5 meter high windows and has a view of Sitges and the sea. The house has fast internet (Fibra) and a kitchen with every appliance that you can imagine. Also a nespresso machine. The house is located in a beautiful residential area (Vallpineda) and is located near the center of Sitges. The residential area is a gated community with parking space in front of the house.
A fantastic tennis / paddle tennis center with a fully equipped gym and an Olympic size swimming pool is 300 meters away from the house. Sitges regularly has very nice events and festivities. It is known for the film festival in October (mini-Cannes), the Gourmet weekend in the same month, Carnival in February, The Barcelona to Sitges Vintage car rally in March and of course the Fiesta Mayor in August. Then the beautiful historic center of life is bustling. The town has its own character and also a beautiful hinterland, with the Pinedes wine valley and the Garaf nature park on a half hour drive. Barcelona is very easy to reach and the airport is a 20-minute drive away. Together with the wonderful climate Sitges offers everything for an ideal holiday. The villa is located near the center of Sitges and is only 2 to 3 minutes drive from the beach. The district Vallpineda, where the villa is located, is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Sitges and wonderfully quiet.
In case of a late check in after 20.00, 40.00 euros will be due. You will be met by our contact person who welcomes you and explains everything. She is also your point of contact for questions during the stay. The cleaning costs are 200,00 euro to be paid cash upon arrival.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Groups, parties and music. Families and children are always welcome. Groups of friends are welcome only and exclusively if the average age is over 23 years and if they agree to the house rules and the terms and conditions of the contract. We especially like to point out that we really care about the neighbors and we work to make our guests' holidays as pleasant as possible, in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Outdoor music, parties, shouting or loud noises are prohibited. After 10 pm we ask for special attention to tranquility. This Villa is equipped with Minut sensors that monitor and certify noise in decibels, preventing unauthorized parties.
• Vacation rental. This house has been designed and built from the beginning thinking of a rental use for trips and vacations for large or small groups. The furniture is standard Ikea (not luxury), functional and comfortable for vacations. There are large common areas, but also several private interior areas, where small groups of family or friends (part of the general group) can enjoy their own intimacy and privacy within the Villa. The leisure areas are specially designed for holidays: two BBQs, a main pool with a submerged bench for sunbathing or chatting while lying or sitting in the water. Construction spas with submerged benches and loungers, where several guests can spend time in the water talking, reading, having a drink or sunbathing or simply enjoying themselves. • The Beaches and the beach bars. Within 5-10 minutes by car there are several very beautiful free beaches, with bars and restaurants on the same sand (called “chiringuitos”), shower services, first aid, fixed equipment for gymnastics and sports, volleyball fields and much more.
• Complete privacy. In this property, in order to guarantee the privacy of the guests, we have completely separated the exterior areas with closed fences. 100% of the interior and exterior areas of the guests remain 100% private at all times. In addition, as this property is a villa with more levels on sloping ground, all areas of each floor and the garden and pool area enjoy total privacy. To the point that it is allowed to practice naturism and nudism in 100% of the interior areas and in most of the exterior areas and pool area. Even when accessing the pool for maintenance (to regulate chlorine and PH) or the office and maintenance storage areas in the basement, completely separate entrances are used. At no time are guests disturbed in their private indoor and outdoor areas.
• Security. The safety of our guests is very important. The Villa has bars on all exterior doors and windows, openable by the guest for the practicable doors and windows for entrances and exits. Alarm with sensors on all doors and windows, activated in day and night configuration (even with guests inside, sleeping or awake, an alarm can be activated at the perimeter entrances). Direct connection to the 24/7 surveillance center if activated by the guest. Exterior cameras (which can be deactivated, at the guest's request). A total of four safes. The Villa has a double exterior fence. A first internal fence, accessible only and exclusively by the guests, encloses the private area (interior and exterior) of the guests themselves. A second exterior fence, which gives access to the access ramp with parking area, office area, maintenance deposit in the basement and an exterior area not accessible to guests.
• Accessibility. The property is a terraced house on different levels on a sloping plot, which allows for fantastic views from different levels. The presence of external and internal stairs make this property not suitable for people with mobility problems. We are sorry.
• A/C In order to guarantee our guests a pleasant sleep during the warmer months, we have installed four A/C machines to maintain around 23º during the night. The living room/kitchen floor has many windows and exterior doors, it is protected from the sun by awnings and exterior porches and consequently does not have AC. HEATING: the whole house can be quickly heated and the system is programmed at 21º, obviously including all bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen. Before booking, read in detail the "policy" for the use of HVAC. Thank you.
• The room "by the pool bedroom" is an office-type transit area where usually the youngest stay. It has multipurpose use, as a game room, living room or bedroom. All the other 8 bedrooms are for bedroom use only.
• Cleaning, hygiene and disinfection. We clean and sanitize the entire house and the pool before each check-in. - "From our first meeting Giovanni we new he would be a good host. We were a family of 16…9 adults & 7 children & the property was very accommodating. We all had a wonderful time at this special villa with beautiful decor. It is a fantastic house with lots of space so we were not on top of each other. The kitchen is very well equipped with plates , glasses & fridges etc. The children/adults had a great time at the pool which was always clean. Plenty of space to sun bathe. It was lovely sitting on the large veranda in the evening having dinner as the view over the mountains, village & sea in the distance was spectacular. It was close to the beaches which was a bonus (10 mins) & also the water park where all the wee kids & big kids had a great time. We felt safe as the villa has a good security system. Giovanni was an excellent host available at all times. We had a problem with our camper van & he helped get it sorted which we could not have done without his help. He spent half a day with my husband getting the necessary parts &helping to repair it. Nothing was a problem to him. On our last night Giovanni organised for Barcelona chef , Betsy to cook for us. - "From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Shown all the important things, like the hot tub, coffee maker, ovens, etc. from the balcony we were shown the local bakery, liquor store, meat market, fish market, and grocery stores. A very perfect place to stay for a family of 10. The game room downstairs had us playing a little competitively with pool, ping pong, cards, and more. The kitchen was a perfect place for preparing some family meals and this dining table was huge and we all fit comfortably. Olga came every morning to pick up our trash and recycle. She always checked to see if we needed anything at all. Everyone on Imanol’s team did an exceptional job!"

- "We have just had 2 lovely weeks at the villa. 10 people ranging in ages from 0 to over 60. Antoni was very welcoming and helpful, even providing us with information on the area and some nice places to eat! As we had a baby in the group, Antoni arranged for a cot in one of the rooms as well as a highchair and bouncer. The villa is clean and tidy and was perfect for our group. Begur is a lovely old medieval town, which has many good restaurants and bars, with many chic boutiques. The villa, Les Tres Oliveres, is in an area of great natural beauty with a large range of leisure pursuits including diving and golf. It is also very popular with walkers and ramblers throughout the year. The villa is on the Cami de Ronda coastal route and a quiet road leading to the marine reserve of Ses Negres (2 minutes walk) between the beaches of Aiguafreda (10 minutes walk) and Sa Riera (2.3km) and about 5km from Begur.

The garden has been fully relandscaped in January 2024 to make it drought resistant. The grassed areas had proved to be unsustainable over the last 2 years due to global warming and subsequent water restrictions that were imposed. The new garden is comprised of wood composite decking and steps together with gravel and two mature lemon trees.

The house has wonderful sea and countryside views and is fully furnished with many facilities. It consists of a kitchen, 2 living rooms, a sun room / dining room, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms (two king size bedrooms and one with 2 single beds.)

Both of the upper bedrooms have air con.

The lower king size has an en-suite wetroom and French doors opening on to the shaded outside dining area and sofa).

The balcony is accessible from both the main living room and the sun room, both of which have great sea views. The shaded outside dining area has a BBQ and is just up from the private heated pool (8m x 4m).

Diving, Boating, Walking and Golf:
This area really is one of the best areas in Spain for Scuba Diving. We dive from Aiguafreda which is 2 minutes drive from the house. It's a great safe place to dive with loads to see. We also dive at the Medas Islands and with Dive Begur.

The marine reserve at the end of the road is called Ses Negres, and is 2 minutes walk from the villa. It is excellent for snorkelling with lots of fish to see in very clear water, but as it is protected, scuba diving is not permitted in this specific location. Please ask us if you have any more questions about this.

If you want to go boating, we can put you in touch with a local who provides boat hire or another who can take you on a tour along the coast. You can moor up in coves which are only accessible from the sea.

The Costa Brava is wild and rugged area with tremendous views and scenery. It has great walks and 370km of marked paths which are maintained by the Baix Emporda Tourism Committee. The house is actually on the coastal path called Cami de Ronda

There are 9 golf courses in the area including 2 championship courses

How to get here: From the UK, you can get Eurotunnel or a ferry from Dover to Calais. The drive time from Calais is 12 hours. Otherwise, most budget airlines such as EasyJet, Ryanair and Jet 2 fly in to the airports of Girona, Perpignan and Barcelona. Girona airport is 45 minutes and the others are less than 90 minutes drive.

- "The Villa was perfect for us. David and his wife made us welcome the gated pool was great much needed in the hot sun. The 2 supermarkets were a 10 minute walk away and very good. There is also a store there that sells everything. The train station is about 20 minute walk One of my daughter's, her husband and 12 year old granddaughter walked to the beach a couple of times took them about 25 minutes. You can also take a walk to Delta del Ebro and the rain station, where you can hop on a train to Barcelona, Tarragona or Valencia.

BY CAR: You can take your car to the theme park Port Aventura, which is only 25 minutes away. You can also get to know Delta del Ebro in it's full extension in about 15 minutes and visit the Tortosa monument, only 20 minutes away. The Terra Alta vineyards are a close 30 minutes away.

Built-in fly screens meant you could have the windows open for breeze, but won't get bothered by mosquitos. Position-wise, the villa is ideal - situated less than 5 minutes stroll to the long sandy Arenalles beach, and far enough away from the village not to be bothered by any noise. However, the village is a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll along a lovely landscaped walkway looking out over the sea. We rarely drove, but sometimes my parents - over 80 - took the car. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from serving wonderful seafood and local produce. All -in-all it is a brilliant place for a relaxing holiday that I would be happy to recommend to anyone."
