- "We didn’t want to leave at the end of our week. The beautiful new pool is the highlight, plus a big verandah for yoga, reading and sunbathing and exotic fruits on tap all around. The accommodation itself is basic and could do with refreshing, but we had everything we needed and spent most of our time outside. We visited in May which is off-season, and without a car. Lido di Noto itself was disappointing - nothing open or to do, but we walked to the much nicer next beach south and along the coastal path. The four bedrooms and the huge living room overlook the infinity pool and the nearby sea. A 176 m2 roof terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooks the four-hectare property and allows you to admire the sunrises and sunsets and sunsets, breathtaking 360-degree landscapes, from the Lido di Noto to the nature reserve of Vendicari where many wild beaches follow one another.

From the house you can walk (5-10 minutes) down to what feels your own, very beautiful sandy beach on the sea - part of the Vendicari nature preserve. We went twice daily and never wanted to leave. There is an outdoor shower at the house which was a delight to come back to after an afternoon (or morning! or sunset!) at the beach. (We did them all!) The house is well located in an area full of places to visit - Baroque towns, Greek ruins and the Vendicari preserve - if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility of the beach and the terrace. Our unit had a second functioning kitchen just off the rear patio which was nice when boiling water for pasta so as not to humify the indoors. The driveway and patio area is fully tiled -- a nice feature. And the two main bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closet and dresser storage. The third room is more of a pass-through room to get from the second floor to the third, but for a child or teenager, it's fine. You are literally one block from the beach. As for the owners, Salvatore and his wife are lovely, good people, hospitable in every way, and responsive to any inquiry or request. - "We had a fantastic one week stay at Villa Nica. The house is beautifully presented and brand new. All the rooms were decorated very nicely and the kitchen had all the appliances you need to cook during your stay including a great coffee machine. The pool and garden area were just stunning with views out to the countryside and great sun loungers to relax in. The location was also ideal, with a short drive to the very cute fishing town of Marzamemi. The town of Noto was in close reach and Syracusa a little further, but quite honestly we didn’t do as much travelling around the area as planned as the villa was just so fantastic to relax in! Corrado and Matia were the best hosts. From our initial warm greeting when we arrived late on the Saturday with a hamper of goodies and tour of the house, to bringing us a breakfast treat one day, nothing was problem and they were always happy to help including providing some great food and drink recommendations in the area. My favourite spot was on the comfiest of sofas outside, with a book and watching the sun go down. If you are wanting to escape and truly relax in a beautiful house with fantastic surroundings, Villa Nica is ideal! We will most definitely be back."
