The terrace is the highlight of this beautiful home - enjoy your caffe latte at sunset, and cocktails as the end of the day, it can be hard to tear yourself away from this relaxing space! But it is Paola who really makes this property five star, what a terrific host. She was so accommodating and kind when we arrived a full day late (thanks to missed connection in Zurich), making sure to have food waiting (including delicious local pastries). Very much appreciated, as we were exhausted by the time we arrived. She provided excellent information as our arrival date approached and was extremely responsive during our stay, offering recommendations and answering all our questions promptly and enthusiastically. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest, simply decorated, and very comfortable. There is no AC, but ceiling fans in every bedroom more than sufficed (in mid-Sept). The layout - with the large main living/dining area flanked by two bedrooms/one bath wings - allowed privacy within a very open space feel. The area was quiet at night (expect for the wonderful surprise of fireworks/local religious festival on our first weekend) and we enjoyed regular walks to the nearby lighthouse at Capo Zefferano.
