We also discovered a small pebbly beach in a cove a 20 minute walk in the other direction on our 3rd last day. The cove was teeming with fish of all sizes which could be easily viewed in the clear water with goggles . We visited the beach 3 days in a row. Very quiet. Beach called Cala Mancini. We particularly loved ; sitting on the villa terrace , looking at the fantastic landscape and the sea…there was always a sea breeze to fend the heat away; watching a flock of fabulously colourful bee eater birds hunting daily on the rocky hill behind the villa; using the outside shower under the stars which was a surprising pleasure ; the Zingarro Nature Reserve and its amazing beaches, which is very special place;... we walked to Scopello and back (very tiring but worth it); promenading with the Italian holidaymakers on warm evenings in San Vito; watching the beautiful sunset unimpeded over the sea; and eating at Ristorante Profumi Di Cous Cous. Some other minor comments. We first arrived after midnight. Providing some basics such as soap, milk ( for a cup of tea), and washing up liquid would have been nice, although 2 bottles of water were left in the fridge. Also a little more local information such as where the supermarkets/bakeries are, restaurant suggestions, and what the local parking arrangements are would have helped us in the beginning. In summary we loved the villa and it's location and enjoyed meeting owners Anna and Osvaldo who were very helpful throughout the villa booking process and whilst we were there. Our "Villa Tonnara" is the only villa in all of San Vito located only 20 meters from the sea. It has a private terrace exclusively for our guests with a stunning view of the sea. From the terrace and all the bedrooms you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama. The villa is surrounded by a garden and Mediterranean pines, immersed in silence and looking over the bay with deep blue waters. Our white cottage was built in the 70es in the old part of Tonnara, with a very small number of constructions in the surrounding area.
The villa is located at 3 km from the city center and its famous beach, but also only 10 minutes by car from the Natural Reserve dello Zingaro. It resides in an area with 5 other, small buildings, which are surrounded by pine trees that help moderate the Sicilian Summer and serve as a great playground for kids, or as a place to relax underneath the trees for grownups.
There is also a grill in the villa so you can enjoy the summer nights with a rich fish barbecue, and for those who love to idle there's an inviting hammock on the terrace.
The house is composed of 3 bedrooms, two of which are furnished with double beds and the other with two single beds, 2 bathrooms with showers, a kitchen and a spacious living room with a dining table.
