"LE GÎTE DE CLEMENTINE" is a warm and quiet apartment, on the first floor of an old Alsatian house in the center of a typical winegrowing village. Ideal for a couple alone or with children, convenient starting point for visiting our beautiful region.

The space
“LE GÎTE DE CLEMENTINE” is a first floor apartment in an Alsatian half-timbered house (with a long balcony) separate from the main house and overlooking a very quiet inner courtyard. Access is via a narrow staircase (see photo in preview but a ramp has been added since the photo.)

The house called "Maison HARTMANN" dates from 1683 for the most recent part and about 1530 for the outbuilding part.

It is located in the city center of BARR, 100 meters from the vineyard on one side and 100 meters from the town hall and the tourist office on the other.

The apartment includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It is equipped with a comfortable 160 cm wide double sofa bed in the living room and two single beds in the bedroom.
=> Possibility of sleeping 4 people. We can also set up a crib or extra mattress on request.

The living room is equipped with a TV with Satellite Channel + sofa bed, armchair, table, chairs, storage unit, library.

The kitchen is completely redone (on the theme of good Alsatian beer!) and equipped with dishes, electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, table and chairs, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine...

The bathroom has a toilet, sink and bath/shower. It is equipped with towels, hairdryer, basic products and washing machine.

Two room flat on the heights of Barr, on the wine road, between Strasbourg and Colmar, adjacent to the owner's house (with an independent access). Splendid view, calm guaranteed. Ideal for two persons but possibility to house one more person (convertible sofa in the living room, separated from the room by a Japanese wall). Terrace, parking, barbecue. Many possibilities of hikes (Mont Ste Odile only 15 minutes away), Christmas markets, visits of wine cellars, Europa Park less than one hour away.

Barr is a cute wine town halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar. Starting from the house you will be in the forest in 15 min walk.

The space
The apartment is a 4 room 85m2. The pieces are in a row. There are two bedrooms, the first is the master bedroom with a queen size bed. The second is the children's room with a bunk bed, a single bed and the possibility of adding an umbrella bed if needed for a smaller bed.
There is also a dining room and office/entrance as well as a laundry room with a washing machine.
Obviously a kitchen with gas stove, fridge/freezer and one bathroom with bathtub and toilet.

20 minutes from Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, on the wine road of Alsace, in the Vosges, charming apartment in an old Alsatian half-timbered house in the heart of the city center of the small community of Barr. Beamed ceilings and ancient furniture give the place a typical charm.

Magnificent views of the vineyards of the area from the living room, and the Castle of Haut-Andlau and the city itself from the bedroom windows.

The main floor was just given a complete makeover (summer 2016): new floors, new kitchen, living and dining rooms were moved around for a much better use of the available space.
