But it invited some bugs too.. and noise of trams& cars passing by. Extra towels would have been helpful, we had to wash towels to reuse the next day . Living room had 3 sofa beds - instructions provided to allow them to be flattened. Apartment was clean. Helpful touches were the two Swiss electrical adapters for the Swiss sunken style power outlets (normal round European adapters don’t fit!) as well as a kettle and toaster. Shower gel and soap provided. Also washing up supplies. Large Coop supermarket below with in store bakery. Transport - super convenient no. 30 bus stop close by to connect with airport bus at SBB station. Details from rental company did not mention that overnight parking IS available in the coop supermarket basement car park (called Baleo Erlenmatt - plenty of spaces) - we paid approx CHF 25 - restricted night access via a separate doorway (didn’t need to use). Didn’t appear to be a day capped rate - so an expensive option - but handy for us as we hired a car for just part of our stay. Short walk to German station (Bad Bahnof) and close to exhibition square. Lobby contained the rubbish bins - so a bit of an unpleasant smell upon arrival. Key fobs for access to apartment - a bit tricky to get the hang of initially. Would definitely use again if in town to save on catering costs in what is a very expensive part of Europe to visit!"

The unit is very spacious, clean, the kitchen is well equipped with dishes for cooking, the location is just a 20 min walk to the main train station, and there are both a Coop and Migros stores a 4-min walk around the corner. The beds were comfortable, the towels soft, and the small chocolates placed on our beds for our arrival were a nice touch. There are exterior blinds to block out the light, and the neighbourhood is very quiet, so you’re sure to get a good night’s sleep! The owner, Tomas, was very friendly, responsive, and genuine. I would definitely book with him again whether it is for this unit or if he should happen to have another one. Oh, and if you’re up for figuring out the tram and bus system, you’ll discover that the unit is well situated to get around the city on public transport. I highly recommend renting this unit; you won’t regret staying there with Tomas as your host."

Very simple room with one person bed, shower and wc in one space (that also has a sauna cabin which is used when we don’t have guests)

Unfortunately no access to a kitchen, living room and internet but a very good and calm location! Perfect if you are traveling and need an affordable bed or when you are attending a conference or training at the Goetheanum.

Doing laundry for the backpackers amongst you is possible. Bus stop to Dornach station 150 m.

The space
The apartment (approx. 100 m2) is located on the ground floor (a few steps up to the apartment) and is only a few minutes away from a tram station. The room is equipped with a wooden bed which serves as a couch during the day. Since I live in the apartment myself, there are also things of mine like books and CDs in the room. But there is plenty of space for your clothes. A small table is in the room as well as a TV. Good WLAN access.
A coffee machine and a kettle (tea bag) are always ready for you in the kitchen.
Included in the price is a small breakfast (coffee/tea, muesli).

Check in/out times can be adjusted by arrangement.

I have been subletting two rooms in my large apartment for years. Amenities: Bed L190xB90cm, desk+chair, wardrobe, shelf, TV. Separate toilet + sink, private shower in the shared bathroom. Wi-Fi. Shared use of refrigerator + kitchen. Plus guest tax (collection via AirBnB), key deposit CHF 100.00 and, if necessary, common parking fee!

The space
Affordable but still very good and fair accommodation. Ideal for people who work temporarily in Switzerland. I am happy to welcome you on a daily basis or several months.
It has enough space and storage areas even for longer stays. Your room is large, bright, quiet, functional and very comfortable. Of course the bed is complete, with Nordic blanket and pillows with covers.
We're on the 4th floor. It has an elevator.
An emergency bed is available for a second guest in the room by arrangement (note additional costs). However, this emergency bed is not suitable for long-term stays.

Guest access
You have your own kettle and dishes in the room. Thanks to the shared use of a refrigerator in the hallway, you can have your own food in stock, so you can prepare your meals in the kitchen whenever you want. Former guests appreciated the opportunity to save money for expensive outward food.
You share your wet room with a toilet and a sink (outside the room) with a possible second guest. Of course, it offers toilet paper.
In the shared bathroom, you and a second guest will use the shower cubicle together. To protect my privacy, I do not want you to use my sanitary facilities there! If desired, I can offer towels, etc., as well as soap, but this is not available as standard.
Washing machine and dryer can only be used by arrangement (about every 14 days) (coin-operated machine wants to be fed).

During your stay
We are together in an apartment, but the sleeping areas are completely separated from the living area. This ensures privacy.
Please note the items "Smoking" and "Pets".

Guest access
As a guest, you will have full access to your private room. The bathroom is shared with the hosts. The kitchen can be used as well, but since it is a shared space, access depends on availability. Guests are welcome to use it whenever it is free, keeping in mind that the hosts may also need to use it. If needed, a shelf or space in the fridge can be arranged.
