The lack of sidewalks makes it almost impossible to walk anywhere. However, it is very easy and affordable to take buses anywhere. The suite we rented for the month needed new beds as they are memory foam and are worn out. In the bathrooms the ceilings appear to have been leaking. One shower has part of the ceiling missing. Other than that the suite is very modern and spacious. Be aware that when renting you will only get what you see in the pictures. There are no washers in this suite and none on the property. The owner was very helpful when our flight was deayed, she let us spend the day in another of her suites. We sure appreciated that. After our experience in the suite, i would love to stay again, as long as the mattresses were changed."

Welcome to our charming Penthouse Jr. Suite , Casita Mariposa Azul! Located on Playa Los Picos, in the boutique Makare Condos, it is just a 100 yard walk to the soft sandy beach. Short walk to restaurants, bars, markets, shops, Centro and more!

Our suite offers a very comfortable king bed, a fully equipped kitchen, table and chairs for dining, working or playing, TV, Wifi and plenty of storage. Additional amenities include a rooftop terrace with awesome pool, lounge chairs, spectacular beach and ocean views, grill, sink, tables and chairs as well as bathrooms and outdoor shower.

The accommodation:
The Jr. Suite is outfitted with an incredibly comfortable king-sized Emma mattress and has 2 nightstands with storage alongside remote bedside lighting. The suite has ample under-bed storage for suitcases and has generous dresser and closet spaces. You'll find a remote ceiling fan, split air conditioner, 55" Samsung smart TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, Ninja countertop oven/air fryer/toaster/rotisserie, induction stove, and pots and pans and cleaning supplies. It is a lock-off unit from our main unit, with its own private entrance, and the door between us has a lock on both sides as well as a piece of sound barrier on the floor. We have taken every measure to provide a space that we find comfortable and well-equipped for a stay, and we hope you feel the same! Kent and I will be nearby for any concerns or questions.

We knew our new condo came only with basic appliances and no furniture, and we needed a place nearby while we got organized and set up. I found the listing for Casita Mariposa Azul, and it seemed like the perfect place for us to start our new adventure. As it turned out, It was better than perfect!We exchanged messages with the owners just before our stay, and explained our situation. They were friendly, extremely helpful, and gave us lots of great advice as we went along.The suite was very clean and extremely well organized. Much thought had been given to the amenities provided, and there we no surprises and nothing that was overlooked by the hosts.The listing mentioned that there is a busier road nearby, but the sound machine provided by the hosts works very well in offsetting the noise.The unit is located beside a well kept pedestrian square, about a minute walk to the beach and a short walk to Centro. The nearby beach is very nice with good sand, and we saw whales (and a calf) every day in the water.The area is very safe and well lit, we never felt uncomfortable walking to/from the building at any time.We highly recommend this property to anyone coming to the Bucerias area."
